"Not Too Shabby"

Well, Miami Vice The Game is of course a modernized version of the 80s classic cop show, set in Miami Florida. In the game you get to control either Sonny Crockett or Ricardo Tubbs. If you have a pal who also owns the game you can go head to head in multiplayer. (I have no idea how that is since no one I know owns it) Anyway, lets get on with the review. (This is an early review so some things may not be touched upon, such as Hacking, as I don't quite understand that yet)

SOUNDS: They are decent. Guns sounds real, or what I would expect guns to sound like. They do the job. Voice acting is OK. But I think you'll get tired of hearing the same 4 lines repeated over and over again by the same generic-looking bad guys with bad accents.

GRAPHICS: They're not that bad. Seems like a step up from the other Rebellion game, Dead To Rights: Reckoning. I just wished they would've included a more destructible/interactive environment. I'm a sucker for interactive environs. Show me a game where I can shoot out lights, shoot glasses on a table or pictures in a frame, blow up cars by shooting at them, etc. and I'll fall in love with it.
There does seem to be a very rudimentary form of rag doll physics included in this game, so that's a plus in my book.

GAMEPLAY: The object of the game is to bring down some really big bad*** South American drug dealer who's practically untouchable by regular law-enforcement methods. You can pick and choose between Crockett or Tubbs and began your mission. I'm not sure if there is a big difference between the two, but I doubt there will be. During the mission you'll be able to find drugs, flash sticks, health packets, and of course bad guys and guns. The drugs will be for you to trade to get more info from an informant, or to deal to get money to buy new outfits and weapons. The flash sticks need to be hacked in order to upgrade a variety of weapons. The outfits come in handy as some help you with your Reputation score, while others offer more armour.
One cool thing is that this game pretty much “punishes” you for grabbing the biggest, baddest weapon and for using your health packs; it forces you to go in slow and really take your time blasting the bad guys, and using cover. So far, the pistol seems to have the highest Rep bonus, while the Sniper rifle has none, or close to none.

OVER ALL SCORE: I'd give it an 7/10. As somethings could've been better but it wasn't really a mediocre game.
The Good: The shooting, the Rep factor, the lil laser scope feature on the guns, and the fact that its not good to snatch up the BFG you can
The Bad: repetitive taunts from bad guys, thugs look like each other, A.I. is rather weak, environment could've been more interactive
If you can find it to rent, I'd recommend renting, unless if your just a fan of action games or the Miami Vice universe itself.
