Bleach: Heat the Soul

C'mon, who doesn't like Bleach? Mostly likely for all the people who consider buying this are Bleach fans. Or else why would you buy this game out of all those available? Two reasons to buy this: You love Bleach, or you like to try out new games. I'm not going to hold it in any longer, Ikusai:

What is this game?
Basically put short and snappy, this is a fighting game similar to Tekken or Soul Calibur, but based on the anime Bleach. You are ONLY able to play as six different characters, each with a limited amount of moves. The whole game is cell shaded, whether you like it or not, deal with it.

Graphics: 9/10

Very colourful actually. Bright, nicely done, and just what you would expect to look like gamewise. It is cell shaded of course, like I mentioned before, which means it is 2D, much like Dragon Ball Z on the Psp. I can't condemn it at all, after all, it is what it should be.

Gameplay: 3/10

Unfortunately, I've learnt my lesson here; never judge a book by it's cover. That lesson cost me $30 from ebay. Sucks doesn't it? The characters lack variety, which means their skills are VERY limited, and you are able to "cheapskate" to win. If you have played fighting games before, it is basically another name for button mashing or tapping the same buttons over and over. Worst of all, you can only play as 6 characters... let's see... Ichigo, Inoue, Sado, Ishida, Renji, and Rukia. You're probably wondering now - "where's Kuchiki Buyakuya?" or "where's Jin?". Too bad, they're not here. Yeah... it sucks, theres nothing really in this game.

Sound: 6/10

Uhh... repeating battle music? But it sucks? Theres nothing more I can say here, cartoon music repeating. It doesn't get worse.

Replay Value: 1/10

None whatsoever. I got bored in 40 minutes.

Lag: 2/10

It will kill you, you will be in loading screens longer than you will be in fights. SERIOUSLY

Overall: 5/10 (Not an average)

This game sucks, really, it does. Laggy, no characters, no bonuses, no nothing. I added this game to my Psp collection so I can say - "Look I have a Bleach game imported from Japan!". Sorry if I'm being a bit harsh, but I'm only stating the truth. Yes, it hurts.
