"Artistic Rendition of a Classic, A toast to Valkyrie"

I just happen to love this game for its catchy artwork, and because of the PSP remake, added CG scenes makes it even more breathtaking. The status, Rpg engine, and concept of the game is a little odd and new, but interesting and fun when you consider that the hp goes past 9999. The damage is even more impressive that the most can go as high as the 1million mark, the chain combination, the gem engine as well as the money engine is indeed unique and interesting, but hard to understand when first played. Being a Rpg Vet, I always have to play it at its hardest level to ensure the best method of playing, and best replay value, but at this level, I doubt I would be replaying it from the very beginning every single time since it takes a while to really get into the click of the game, the heart of the Valkyrie at its hardest level. it is good that the makers of the game decided to bring out a difficulty engine to cover all basis of Rpg players out there.

I gave this game a decent 10/10 since it deserves such a great review after all the other rpg games I played... I gotta say that Sony did a right thing bringing this lil classic gem back to the PSP for all the new age players out there. Ontop of the realistic proportions the game offers, the character art is as realistic as a CGI cutscene.

Now to break it up... As you have read in the previous reviews, they have 8 chapters broken up in 24 periods... except...the first chapter is about 24 periods, the rest after that is a direct 28 periods each, but I only played on the hard difficulty, so I wouldn't have much of a accurate statement for the other ones.

The battle system is very unique, and can really make people go nuts if they don't know how it works, thus is why there is a ingame practice where you can explore the system more thoroughly if you need to know how it works. The replay value is low since you end up spending the first 30 minutes in the very beginning of the game, running through the storyline. Depending on the difficulty too, will depend on where you are being focussed on in the game. Hard may have less experiance, but it makes it up for more items, dungeons, and all the characters available for the taking. If you know how to chain correctly, the less experiance will fade away fast, and you can easilly milk the enemies for the Magic Gems that you need for more exp. IN anycase, there is bright hopes for the contunuation storyline that follows closely to this one, and I am looking forward to it greatly.

Have fun everyone, and I do hope you enjoy this game as much as I do, despite how boring it could get to some, others will be driven to the edges of their seats.
