"What is this supposed to be?"

Right right. Let's see... what's this game like? You're an android yep. And you fight other androids to go up this tower. And doing so will get you new weapons, and further into the game. To be perfectly honest, it's not even that exciting. The storyline is kind of pathetic as you don't actually know why you're fighting.

Storyline: 4/10

Like I said earlier, you fight up this tower. And there are normal enemies and bosses of course. But still up to now, I don't understand this game. You get a bit further into the game, fight a boss. It is basically something like this - "Hello, (your name). I've heard about you, now I'm going to kick your ass.". Then your character says "Why?". And the boss replies "It doesn't really matter!". So you fight, and fight higher and higher into this tower. Makes you think whether or not the creators are running out of ideas.

Gameplay: 7/10

The fighting isn't too bad. But it's a shame fighting is all there is to this game. You can have weapons on your head, arms and legs. So you use these weapons to destroy the other androids. Boom and boom. That's the whole game for you. Add in some lame storyline and that makes Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory.

Graphics: 6/10

The whole game is blockish. The scenery is not very exciting at all with blocks everywhere. The androids don't look that unique either. It is even fairly poor for a portable standard.

Music: 4/10

Bang, boom, ka 'chings. That's all it is. The battle effects start to annoy you after a while as that is all there is to the music. Just turn off the music and listen to nothing. It will prevent you from going insane.

Overall: 6/10

This game has no taste whatsoever. Lucky I got this game for free. Otherwise don't bother trying it at all.
