Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
Review by kleshaq
"Ratchet and Clank finnaly comes to the PSP!"
Ratchet and Clank:Size Matters is the first game in the Ratchet and Clank series to be on the PSP. Clank returns as a playable character.
The gameplay in this game is very good with better than PS2 graphics. The controls are a little difficult, especially the camera rotations on the R and L buttons though. You can switch it, but it's better to me on the R and L buttons.
The storyline is great and so are the cutscenes, except that you can't see Ratchet's armor on him in the cutscenes. Also, you can't see his weapons either.
The enemies are simple at first, but get pretty difficult as you progress. Even maybe a little too difficult, especially if this is the first time you've played a Ratchet and Clank game. Bosses aren't too hard either. Fights can be long and boring if you don't know what you're doing, so read the little helps screens as the game tells them to you.
The missions aren't too puzzling at all, but some of them are long, very long. The sidequests and bonus missions are fairly easy, but the races aren't. When you get to a mission with the edges of the screen all mixed and screwed around, trust me, you can't miss it, don't think that the game is messed up because it is not, that particular mission is supposed to be Ratchet in a dream, and he's tripping out, so don't freak out and say you got ripped off, because you didn't.
The weapons, gadgets, and armor are cool, but nothing except a few names, and one or two guns are different. The customizable armor feature is new to this game and series, and the effects they gain when you have all of one kind on at a time can be helpful. Leveling up your weapons and and gaining max NanoTech is easy at first as usual, but it remains this way for a while, making up for the hard enemies.
Levels are big, filled with enemies, Titanium Bolts, secrets, and missions, so make sure you check everywhere to find and unlock everything.
This pretty much wraps the game up into one thing, except the secrets. I'm not gonna reveal them except that you can unlock Ratchetzilla as a costume.
