Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects

"A Marvel Let Down"
INTRO
We all know by now who marvel is and who their superheros are. So there is no need to go into great detail of the characters and their special abilities. I will mention a few later on to give an example. This game is a fighting game. Plain and simple, all you do is fight all the time. As you advance you get to unlock characters and items. I have heard this game is much better on the console version, but this review is about the hand held one.
GAME PLAY
The game play in this game is very simple, beat up everyone and move on. You start out as the Thing, and later on play other characters. Some of these marvel superheros seem very weak in this game and much stronger in the comic books, go figure. There aren't many combos in this game; it's more like button mashing. If you can get your enemy in the corner and clobber him, then do it. The super ability for each hero is nice, but limited in the number of times you can use it. The only thing is, you might get bored after awhile with all this mindless fighting. At least the change in characters gives some type of change, but the bottom line is, it's all the same. It can be somewhat fun if you can find some one else and fight against him.
APPEARANCE
Again, another strike for this game. The appearance is average, which is bad for high expectations for PSP graphics. You have the technology, don't know why EA didn't want to use it, or maybe they don't know how to use it good on hand held games? Which ever it is, I have no idea, but I thought it could have been a lot better. The sound is also bad, again EA is good at this, I don't know what happened, maybe they tried to rush this game and it came out like this? Anyway, sorry didn't like the graphics or the sounds from the characters. The music to this game is somewhat good but not great
OVERALL
Like I said in the beginning, maybe the console versions is much better. Cause this version is poor. Unless you a die hard fan of Marvel Comics, you might enjoy or love this, otherwise you going to tired and bored of it real fast. It looks like fighting games don't do good on hand held games. It is hard for me to give a game over ranking of five, if I didn't care enough to finish it, so four is good enough number for me.
