"A great game, one of the best for PSP."

Normally, people have these massive intros, but I'm at a loss of words, at what I'm supposed to say. But I'll give it a try. I did not play the original Final Fantasy Tactics, so I'm unaware of any changes that have occurred, but apparently it's very similar. This is a truly spectacular video game and is one of my favorites.

Storyline (7/10):
The story line is fairly interesting but it gets pretty boring after a while. It's pretty dull to hear the same lines repeated over and over again. But, overall it has a nice presentation and was fairly good.

Graphics (9/10):
I really liked the graphics; they were a perfect match for this game. The sprite artwork during actual game play is quite nice and I think it fits nice with the SRPG style game. The cuts scenes are amazing and are top of the line for a psp game. The only thing I disliked was that during the non-cut screens, with grid-line cut-screens; is fairly choppy.

Sound (2/10)
The sound is terrible in this game. I ALWAYS had my sound cut off for the entire game. The bleeps and bloops of your character moving or the stereotypical noise of scrolling text drive me insane. During the cut-screens Ramzaa(the main character) always seems to have an echo to his voice, even if they are outside.

Game play (10/10):
The most important part of a game and this is where FFT excels. The game play is like almost all other SRPG's. It's on a grid, where you move your characters and do an attack that best fits the situation. The best part of the game was getting job points and switching your character's jobs around. I would spend hours just trying to get my main into a ninja or one of my other characters into Dark Knight.

Replay Value (9/10):
The replay value is great. You spend so much time outfitting your characters with the best equipment and abilities. The only part that is wrong here is that I was used to being able to go after the game and still run around or even get to start the game over with the same equipment and abilities. But not here you couldn't. You have to make sure to save a game file and not to save on the same block during the final battles at Orbonne Monastery. I had to play the game ALL over to finally get to some of the sub quests. Make sure to ALWAYS have a back-up save file.

Overall (9/10)
This game was fantastic. It was truly one of my favorites. It was well worth the money. The shear amount of time I wasted playing this was just insane. It was just the right thing for long car rides. Or just being bored at home. The difficulty wasn't too hard but had a pretty steep learning curve. But near the end you have all of the tricks of the trade down pat. This is a game that I think should be anyone's collection.
