"Call of Duty: Roads to Victory Review"

Call of Duty: Roads to Victory is a First Person Shooter set during the events of World War II, and is exclusively available on the PlayStation Portable System. It features everybody's favourite WWII guns, and wide variations of Vehicles are seen throughout the game. The game is hard, well, in a sense that the controls are hard to master, being that the PSP has no second analogue stick…. So aiming guns etc is done by using Circle, Square, Triangle and [X].

The Controls are the only flaw in this game, however, they are in fact better than a lot of other FPS PSP games, so I won't downplay them too much.

The game play is as you would expect in any Call of Duty game. Where ever you go, you'll see Germans, and these need to be killed, to allow you to advance with the story. The story mode features you playing as an American Soldier, Canadian Soldier and even a British Soldier! How is that for diversity?

The graphics are very good. Whilst you may compare them to those of Call of Duty's on Consoles such as the PS3, Xbox 360 and even PC, don't forget that this is on a PSP. The graphics are brilliant for the PSP, and are very lifelike. You shoot someone, they fall in a unique way that no other soldier in the level does. You fire a gun, you see the bullet fly, and the recoil in a detailed way. The graphics are great, what more can be said?

Constant gunfire, vehicles driving by in the vicinity, and soldiers running to their objective… These are just a few samples of what sounds can be heard in this game, and are done very well, if not perfectly for the game, and could maybe even rival the sounds from a late PS2 game, and possibly even an early PS3 or Xbox 360 game, that's how well I feel they were done!

The game also offers a great replay value. There are multiple difficulties offered in the game, each being a lot more challenging than the previous. Finished the game on Hardened?? Well, then play it on Veteran! This is the perfect way to challenge yourself, and also a great way to pass the time.

There is also a lot of Bonus material in Call of Duty: Roads to Victory, and obviously, the more you do, the more you unlock!! The bonus material includes Cheats, such as infinite Ammo and Grenades, Information about the guns used in-game and movies from the game. It is all very worth-while to try and get.

There is also a Multiplayer in Call of Duty: Roads to Victory, although it is only AdHoc, and not online/infrastructure. But it is a great game to play with friends who may also have it, as there are game modes such as Team Deathmatch and a straight out Deathmatch with 6 players in one room, it is a great time passer, as well as great fun!

Overall, Call of Duty: Roads to Victory is a very good PSP game to own, it has an enthralling single player campaign, fun 6 player multiplayer game modes, and brilliant graphics! I give Call of Duty 8/10. It is a great game, but there are better out there, and the loss of points also comes from a lack of online-infrastructure mode, which other PSP First Person Shooters include. Still, it is a great game, and I would definitely recommend it!
