B-Boy

"On point, but not perfect"
Since nobody seems to be reviewing about this game, I guess I'll speak now.
B-Boy is the first game to revolve around Hip-hop and B-boying (of course). Here, you can choose to battle with other B-boys and B-girls with some well known names like Crazy Legs and Benny Kimoto, or you can choose to create your own character and battle it out.
This game was on point. It had some good ideas backing it up, but it wasn't perfect.
Graphics- 3.5/5
Although it may seem outdated, the game's graphics were pretty decent. The way your character would transition between moves was, although late sometimes, almost perfect. The only problems were the rest of the details the game left out. For example, the crowd at the Urban Games looked like cardboard cut-outs, and your character seemed to have the same facial expression throughout the battles.
Gameplay- 4.5/5
This is one of the game's strongest points. In Livin' Da Life mode, there was always something to do. You busy either with fixing up your character's looks, finding different transitions between moves, having practice sessions, managing your crew (which only consisted of two people only though, shame about that.), choosing the moves your character could perform, there is a lot to do there. Although, I can't say the same about arcade mode. You won't find much to do there except maybe the wireless battles. And the beat wheel was downright annoying.
Sound- 3.5/5
True to the B-boy spirit, the playlist consists of Hip-Hop and Reggae, and there are always some DJ mixes to accompany you in the menus, but they do get a bit repetative at times. Sometimes, the host of a battle (if available) would throw some comments at you and your opponents. The ambience will always match your environment (usually though, all you could hear was car horns). The crowd, though, is only limited to cheers and boos (a lot of people were expecting some insults, but you can't have everything you want).
Length and feel- 2.5/5
Ahhh, the game's weak point. Some may argue about my judgement for this, but I didn't feel as if I wanted to finish the game a third time. The first time, for the sake of finishing it, the second time for correcting any mistake I made, but for a third run? No sir.
Final say- 4/5
The game is a first, but not a perfect one. It has its flaws, but all in all, its a good game.
Recommendations?
I recommend this game to every aspiring B-boy. Even if your not, I still recommend it, you may even find a new interest because of this game.
