Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Review by Assapopulas
"VERY quick review for those that really just wanna know"
Okay so I LOVED this movie. I have been a fan of the Final Fantasy series for a long long time. And the Final Fantasy 7 series has always been my favorite. But honestly, If you haven't played any of the other Final Fantasy 7 games. You will have NO idea what's going on, except for the brief explanation of the story at the beginning. I waited to watch Advent Children until after I played the 3 other FF7 games. The original, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. Advent Children was made as a sequel to Final Fantasy 7 to answer any unanswered questions. If you haven't played Final Fantasy 7, you'll be confused. The characters and their backrounds aren't explained very much at all, basically because Square Enix assumes you have played Final Fantasy 7. Don't get the wrong idea though, The movie is not bad at all. I just recommend you playing at least one of the Final Fantasy 7 games. (prefferably the original)
Story
This is a great sequel to Final Fantasy 7 and it really does have a great story (if you understand whats going on) basically, there is a problem with the lifestream, Jenova's cells have been released and people are infected with a disease called "geostigma" Three remnants of Sephiroth are seeking Jenova's remains and with them, they can pretty much revive Sephiroth. Cloud and his friends are out to stop them.
Music
The Music in this movie is done incredibly well. Many tracks from the original Final Fantasy 7 are brought back and recreated. Although the orchestrated One-Winged Angel was a lot better than the version they used in the movie.
Characters
The whole cast from Final Fantasy 7 is brought back and they look great :)
I just wish Square Enix had explained them and their backrounds a little bit more for those that haven't played Final Fantasy 7.
Graphics
They are amazing, The water effects are great, even the hair looks amazing. I have watched this movie multiple times now, and I have yet to find anything wrong with the graphics in it.
So that's about it. If you haven't played Final Fantasy 7, you might not enjoy this.
If you are a fan of Final Fantasy 7, you will love this movie.
The only reason I gave this an 8 out of 10 is because this movie is really only for fan of Final Fantasy 7.
