Metal Gear Acid
Review by shadow7153
"AC!D...damn that's fun"
Story: 8/10 I gave the story an 8 because a lot of the time these random major characters pop up at a random time without telling you. Also, in the begining, they don't really give a clear enough definition of what "Pythagoras" means, but thats all I'm saying about that.
Graphics: 10/10 This is the game's strong point. It looks exactly how MGS2 looks on PS2. There is a little motion blur here and there but it's really not bad at all. However, there is a lack of animated cutscenes, but there are a few.Very good graphics that game has.But the lip-saking,well, there isn't any. See below for more on that.
Sound:6/10 I was kind of disappointed that there was no voicework done in this game except for the card shop advertisements. Theres things likes oofs, and ahhs. but nothing more. However, the background music is pretty good for what it is. But that doesn't mean I'm not pissed that there's no voicework.
Gameplay:9/10 Very fun and addictive, but there is no thrilling action, because this is a turn-based card stradegy game. Don't expect Yu-Gi-Oh! with a gun though. This not the normal Metal Gear you know, but it works very well. Finally a card game that's not a lame-ass kiddie thing. God I hate anime...
Replay Value 8/10 There aren't a whole ton of extra features, but this is a game you will want to play over a couple of times. It's very good. Oh, one thing I did not mention above. The US and PAL versions of this game have multiplayer battle, a thing scrapped from the JP version. Unfortunatley, It kinda sucks.
Well, there you have it. A full (Well, not really full but good enough) reveiw wether this is a good game. What do I say? I say YES! There would no actiony Video games without Hideo Kojima! (Also Shinji Mikami, but he works for Capcom.) Long live the PSP, and screw the DS. See you 2, or should I say, the next review?
