FIFA Soccer

"Well its not bad but its not great either"

Well the first installment of FIFA for PSP left me a little disappointed but yet seemed to be a very fun game to play. There are over 400 playable teams too choose from which makes the game pretty deep. The game is one that I play regularly on my PSP and i think you should check it out also.
My Review-

Graphics 15/20
The graphics on the game are not showcased very well, they are very good but on a small screen and a mainly zoomed out view they just aren't impressive. On replays or cut scenes after goals you see very good looking player models, but when you are playing the game there just is a hazy figure with just the right hair, skin and jersey color visible with not much detail.

Sound 22/25
The sound in this game is really good. The commentators are very good and you hear what you need to. The effects of kicking the ball are heard and if you hit the post you will hear it. The sound is very good and impressed me.

Gameplay 20/25
The gameplay is very solid nothing more nothing less. Its good old soccer that runs pretty smoothly. I enjoyed the gameplay and the only downfall with it was a minor one, when the ball goes out of bounds there is a small delay of a second or two which isn't really bad. Overall the physics are great the only thing missing is a pass meter there is just pass, no control on how hard or far it goes it just goes.

Replay Value 21/25
The replay value is great on this game you can play many seasons with many teams (over 400) this is another bright spot in the game it doesn't get old with the different difficulty levels and with all the teams you can always play against a new team.

0verall i give FIFA Soccer for the PSP a 78/100 a good game just not great its a fun game but hopefully FIFA Soccer 2006 can be better than this installment of a very solid PSP game that shines in many places yet has glaring wholes that need to be fixed.

I recommend you rent this game first you like it then buy it, its a good game but just not a must buy.
