"THUG 2 is back and better than ever!"

THUG 2 was awesome when it was released for the consoles in 2004, but now it's coming back for the Playstation Portable called Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix. This game has more features than the console versions too so this game is a must buy for fans of the "THUG" series or even the "THPS" series.

Graphics 10/10
The graphics in this game are INCREDIBLE! If you have played the console version and this one, you will not really notice a difference. They are unbelievable for a port game. The frame rate is also extremely good.

Controls 7/10
The controls are not that great though. Since the PSP doesn't have the "L2" or "R2" shoulder buttons, it makes the controls more complex. So there is no way to rotate faster any more. Also, since there are not 2 analog sticks on the PSP, you are going to hate the camera controls. When you are skating, you have to use the directional pad to skate and the analog nub to change the camera view. When you are walking, you can use the directional pad or the analog nub to walk around but if you want to change the camera view, you have to hold down the O and then move the analog nub! That gets very annoying if you are used to the Playstation 2 controls.

Gameplay 10/10
This game features a story mode and a classic mode! The story mode has so many unlockables, you will be playing this game for a long time. There is also 4 new levels for story mode exclusively for the PSP and they are HUGE and very creative. Classic mode is a game mode that has the same kind of goals that were in the "THPS" series. Most goals are "Collect S-K-A-T-E", "Fnd the Hidden Secret Tape", "Collect C-O-M-B-O", or "High Score". Both game modes will supply you with plenty of game time.

Sound 10/10
The big soundtrack from THUG 2 is in this game as well. There are many different songs. The songs are pretty good too. Everything in the game sounds realistic as well and the voices are from the real skaters like Bam Margera, Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen etc.

Replay value 9/10
This game has three difficulties so you might want to complete all three difficulties as a challenge and to unlock so much more stuff. You can unlock characters, cheats, and levels just by completing a classic/story mode on any difficulty and each difficulty has different unlockables too. Each time you play through this game is no different than the last time you beat it unless you are playing a different difficulty so it might get a little boring but that's alright.

Conclusion
Overall Game Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros:
+Graphics are awesome!
+New levels are really fun
+Everything from THUG 2 and more
Cons:
-Controls aren't that great
-Not much of a difference among the 3 difficulties
