"The first FPS for PSP Delivers!"

This game is the main reason I bought a psp. When I heard there would be run an gun on the go it sold the system for me. This game does exactly what its supposed to do gives you a fun game you can pick up for 15 minuets or hours and hours. And it does so with amazing graphics and enough new ideas to keep you around. I love to see my enemies and objects decode it's very rewarding.

Presentation 8/10

While random level generator was a great idea it wasn't executed as well as it could have been. The levels are always blocky and sometimes lack structure. You find yourself occasionally walking down long hallways with nothing at the end.

Graphics 11/10
I have never seen my psp look so great. This game really shines at showing the potential of the psp. I can't stress enough how awesome this game looks.

Sound 8/10
The guns sound amazing and blend well with the graphics and the music is upbeat. And like MGA it cranks up wen enemies are around.

Gameplay 9/10
I don't know what is up with all these web sites ripping on the controls. How can you complain when you can customize every button? I have only 2 complaints no crouch and no grenade button.

Lasting Appeal 10/10
With the random generator and infinite mode this game is extremely repayable. As well as the ability to upgrade and collect weapons for multiplayer. Multiplayer is the real appeal of the game. It works out well weather your going 1 on 1 or 4 player free for all. I can see myself playing CA with my friends until CA2 comes out.

Overall 9/10
My only complaints are the lack of crouch and grenade buttons. And the unfortunate lack of online play. I didn't rate the story because beyond the premise and what's in the booklet there isn't one. It is border line Doom. Not that that is a bad thing. Personally I like the game without a story, run and gun is what I bought the game for and that is what I got.

Own/Rent
Personally I consider this a game to own but if your in doubt rent it and you will see for your self that Coded Arms is definitely worth picking up.
