Metal Gear Acid

"If you need a first game for your PSP, get this."

I enjoy most Metal Gear games, but when I saw this, I wasn't too excited. The whole card battle system thing didn't seem to great to me. Even though I had my doubts I bought it anyway. So I go home, and start playing, and find out its not all that bad. After about an hour of playing I started to get used to it and before I knew it I was in love.

Game play:10/10
This has got to be the first time I have ever seen a card battle system work. The different types of weapons, they way you use them, the delays. Also how the system works with the environment is incredible. You can also do some other things such as melee which was good also, then you could shoot the person on the ground. Later you get to control two people, and it gets even more fun. You can make more strategies, get things done easier. It is just incredible. Also, If your at home playing this game, charge it while you play because you probably wont have enough battery life to last long enough.

Graphics:10/10
I put this game into my PSP and the second I saw what it looked like, my mouth just fell to the ground. These graphics are stunning, its going to be VERY hard to top these in later games. They made all the different characters look great, all the weapons, all the environment objects are all very well done. If you were one of those people who couldn't resist licking your PSP while it was off, your going to have a problem here.

Storyline:10/10
Simply amazing. I'm not sure if I can even explain how great it is without giving away too much. There is just so many twists that make it so great and so many things that you don't expect. If you play the game, I'm sure you will understand where I'm coming from with this.

Sounds:9/10
If you've played Metal Gear games before, you should know what to expect. Of course everyone loves the classic Metal Gear beep which you get here and you get that classic surprise sound from other games. The sounds of bullets flying and grenades exploding are great also. There may not be any voice overs but with what is has is good enough.

I don't think it is possible for me to say anything else for this game but go out right now and buy it. No, don't even think about renting it, buy it!
