Review by ShadowAsylum

"After seeing how the other EA sports games have been overloaded with glitches, I was skeptical, but should I have been?"

I was skeptical about buying this game, when I saw that no reviews have been released for it yet. I decided to get it due to my love for the console Nba Live games. Many have whined about shutdown and freezing in other ea sports games, and a few have about this game. I have had no problems with freezing or shutdown with this game. This game does not have franchise, the little street games, or create a player. It does happen to have the whole All Star Weekend which includes rookie vs sophmore game, all-star game, slam dunk contest and three point shootout. There is a mode called Superstar Challenge where you have 20 events in recent NBA history that you have to help relive, and if you do so you unlock either Jerseys or teams. The online play does have some lagging, but I haven't had too much lagging. I have only played two online games soo far, and on the second game my opponent must have had a lot of lagging and lost connection. I think this game is great, and is an easy pick-up.

Pros:
All-Star Weekend
Great Graphics
Online Play

Cons:
No Franchise
No Create a player

This game really makes me feel like I am playing just a smaller version of a console game. Which is great because that is what it is. The game also has all the music that is put into the console game, only problem is I'm not a hip-hop fan. I do happen to like some of the music in this game, but the fact that you have an option to turn the music off is a good thing. Some of the music artists are Q-tip(feat. Busta Rhymes), Black Eyed Peas, Jurassic 5, N.O.R.E and like 12 others. The gameplay is slick, and there is no framerate loss, except for a few times on online games.

Graphics:
9/10, the graphics are good, they could be better, but they are still impressive as they are

Commentary:
7/10, they get old quickly, but aren't that bad if you get used to it

Gameplay:
9/10, the game play is great and will make you feel like you are playing the console version

Music:
7/10, not my cup of tea, but it may be yours, but some of the songs weren't too bad

Replay Value:
10/10, you have the slam dunk contest, 3 point contest, season, online play, and the superstar challenges that will keep you playing

If I could go with decimals I would give it a 9.3, but I can't so I go with a 9, and it keeps me playing. I think you should go out and buy this, it's a great game, and if you like the console Nba Lives you will not be disappointed with this.
