Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee
Review by Jubei_Hikari
"Better than the PS2 version ^^"
I've been a fan of the game since HSG3 and I know that doesn't make me a season vet but I'm pretty sure I can beat anyone who dare cross my path. But the graphics are great, the characters are well designed and to top it all off the online capabilities make it one of the best PSP games out. Let's start the review...
Graphics: 10
Sort of remind you of Harvest Moon for gamecube with the cel shaded faces. But the scenery, I thought, stoled the show. Everything you loved about the game on Playstation was pretty much copied and pasted onto this portable system. No real problems in this area...or at least none I'm concerned with.
Sound: 10
When playing golf, you are suppose to be quiet and concetrating on your swing. The music in the background is very somber, very relaxing to the ears. Character voices are nice...none that i wouldn't want to hear. Overall, there wasn't anything new to be notice but sometimes no change is the best change. makes "cents"? ^^
Controls: 10
How many buttons do you need to just hit the ball. All you need really is your L and R buttons, X, Square, Circle and the d-pad. The triangle button isn't really needed but since it's there use it. But really the game is so simple that you really couldn't give the controls a low score. Let's move on...
Gameplay: 10
Finally the reason you guys are reading this. All the physics of the game are still there. If the ball hit's right where the fringe starts and the fairway ends...the ball pops straight up...I don't think Tiger Woods does that. The wind is still a factor, making expert players watchful and novice player hate. The lie of the ball is a major factor of the game as well. If left alone it could make or break at Match play game. Kudos to clap hands for their genuisness. The online/wireless multiplayer is great. Best sport game on the psp to date...Until HSG Open Tee 2 or whatever they call it^^
