"NBA Live on-the-go is simply AMAZING."

Introduction : The NBA Live series has always been a successful series on console systems and when I heard that NBA Live 06 was coming out for the PSP, I was very interested. The fact that I could play one of my favorite games on-the-go was very tempting.

NBA Live 06 plays a lot like the console version. If you are familiar with the series, you'll see most, if almost all, of the modes you would find in the console system with only one notable exclusion, a dynasty mode. NBA Live 06 also includes Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure online capability which actually runs very well.

Gameplay : The gameplay in NBA Live 06 for the PSP is done very well. This game is extremely fun to play and you'll find yourself getting addicted to playing this game, especially playing online. One drawback in this game is the fact that the difficulty is just a little too easy. I have my game on the highest difficulty and the only time I ever lose in season is if I sim a game. The controls are very well done in this game and it really was done well for a portable game. I find myself very comfortable with the controls and the crossovers are awesome.

Graphics/Sound : The graphics in this game are extremely impressive for a portable game. The players actually look a lot like they do in let's say, the PS2 version.

The sound is also very well done but the only drawback is that the commentators, Marv Albert and Steve Kerr, repeat a lot of phrases and sayings.

Replay Value : This game is the kind of game that you won't get tired of for a while. There are a lot of different modes that will keep you coming back for more including the Slam dunk contest, 3 point contest, season mode, and the fabulous online play. You'll find yourself having to charge your PSP battery a whole bunch of times because of the amount of time you'll be playing this.

Final Recommendation : This game is definitely worth a buy. It's extremely fun to pick up and play wherever you go whether it be the doctor's office, school, or on an airplane. If you've always wanted to play the NBA Live games on the go, this is your cup of tea.
