Star Wars: Battlefront II

"Great 3rd Person Shooter for the PSP"
Star Wars: Battlefront II
Star Wars: Battlefront II enabled interstellar battle for the gamer on the go, and was a hit!
Graphics
8/10
Everything is this game is beautiful. Character Models are all represented a distuguished manner. All weapons look great. The space battles look graphically great, making you get lost in the moment. Suffurs from grainy background and borders. One downfall is the draw distance, although expected with PSP games, hurts Star Wars: Battlefront II. When looking for that single Ewok left to kill it can be aggravating looking for that little fur ball.
Control
8/10
There is about 4 different control types in this game for every kind of player. I was satisfied with the basic control lay-out as it suits all your needs. Although a 3rd person shooter with a single analog stick seems as if it would cause massive mayhem the face buttons serve as a decent replacement. Problems remain though, as pin point accuracy is almost impossible and switching to your secondary weapons in the heat of battle is a hassle.
Sound
10/10
Every blaster blasts, the lightsabers are easily recognized by their classic 'shooshes' and such. Jawas, Ewoks, and Wookies also lend a great background music to the intense battles. Even the menu music serves its purpoes. What got me though, was the space battle sound effects. When a TIE fighter explodes the PSP's speakers boom.
Overall
Lack of true online play hurts this game. It would have been perfect as a must buy online game, but alas we are stuck with the AD hoc mode which is better than nothing. Space Battles lose their fun though due to the lag. The Galactic Conquest should keep any and every Star Wars fan occupied for numerous hours and it never gets old. There is a decend amount of maps to endure for weeks as every map looks and feels different
Rent of Buy
I would give this a buy. The price hurts it though as the PS2 version can be found for 35 dollars compared the the 50 hard earned dollars spent on this. This game sticks out in any PSP collection as a must play and I see no reason other than the price why you wouldnt want to buy this game.
