Untold Legends: The Warrior's Code
Review by Legendaryscmt
"A few things were finally done right"
Controls
Same as the last one, so nothing too new.
Graphics
Better than the first. The cutscenes look good, along with character motion. No more of that robot walking animations. There's also this sense of height in the game. I can walk higher. I can walk lower. I can jump during an attack. Yippy. Skippy.
Sound
Nothing too impressive. A little bit better that Brotherhood, but not by much. Considering how many times you'll be running around in an area, it gets old after awhile.
Gameplay
Warrior's Code is better than the first, plain and simple. You can now choose from 5 character classes: guardian, mercenary, disciple, prowler, and the scout. The character editing is now more in depth. You have more colors to choose from when deciding their hair and skin color. Wow. That's a lot more depth Each of the characters still have their special abilities and their own armor sets. Your character can now turn into a certain type of beast when they kill a certain amount of enemies. You'll get an enemy bestiary, and the enemies are a little bit stonger in this game. You'll have the ability to charge your attacks, and also strike an enemy while they're down or after they release a powerful attack, causing a bit more damage. The story isn't anything you'll be talking about soon, but it's atleast better than the first. I mean, even White Noise had a better story than Brotherhood of the Blade. The menu screens have been redesigned, so they're easier to understand and to use. The new voice acting isn't that bad, but like the music, it's noting all special. Remember how in the first game the environments were kind of bland and small? They changed that. The environments are freaking huge. I even got lost at one point, as sad as that sounds. Like the first you'll be able to play with your buddies using the link, which is always fun. Adding onto that you can play online. Friggin online, with 7 different modes. Anyone see that coming? Anyone? I haven't played it online, so I can't say whether it lags or anything like that.
Overall
If you played the first one, buy it. If you haven't, buy it. If you just bought a PSP, you probably wouldn't even have the money to buy it.
