Worms: Open Warfare

"The first but hopefully not the last for the psp."

This is the first worms game for the PSP, named Worms: Open warfare and for a little title is a huge reason to buy a PSP if you don't own one already.

Storyline: 0/10
There's no storyline here or any worms game but worms has never needed one. You could play this when your bored, frustrated, with mates or if you have a few minutes to waste before doing something else.

Graphics: 8/10
Worm's use a 2 and a half D background which means that your battle field is the same as previous worms games but the background itself changes and contain vortex's or even London. The cut-scenes are great with little funny stories and good graphics.

Sound: 8/10
I love the sounds in worms but I know a lot of people dislike them finding them tedious, but I love killing a worm while listening to london bridge is falling down.
The worms voices are also funny with a wide range and each with something funny to say.

Game play: 9/10
The game play is the same as all the previous 2D versions of worms and thats why it's amazing. Its easy to learn, its fun to use and can create some of the best gaming you can have on your PSP. The challenge mode can be seen as short but I think its just enough.

Re-playability: 10/10
I know a lot of people won't agree with me on this due to the lack of online mode and the shortness of the challenge mode. My first argument is the fact you have so many different maps its a new challenge and you can have the game how you want it ( weapons, size of maps, teams ). My second argument and possibly my most strongest in my eyes is the multiplayer mode, You can have wireless play with people around you which is good as most multiplayers are but the fact that worms can have up to four people playing with one PSP is pure genius in my eyes. The countless hours I have spent with my friends on this game in college or when were out just gives it even more to offer and makes it that more fresh knowing that each game will be different.

Over all I give this game a 9/10 just for the multiplayer mode with your friends and the fact that its worms portable.
