"One of the few good games on Virtual Boy"

The game: Everybody from Super Mario Kart, except Bowser, are here to play Tennis, in either singles or doubles action.

Graphics: 7: All of the characters look great and so do the tennis court, even though it's only in red,
everything is done quite well, and looks great.

Sound: 6: Sound effects are all right, you got all your old tennis sounds in here and they're done pretty
good, but the background music can get tedious at times.

Gameplay: 8: Here's the cast of characters for the game: Mario, Luigi, Princess, Toad, Yoshi, Koopa
Troopa, and Donkey Kong Jr. You play in singles and doubles action, and most tennis rules and scoring applies to this game. Scoring for example goes, 15, 30, 40, game, but if you tie at 40 with the other player you gotta go through a deuce, and you gotta win the set with at least 6 games, and the other player must not have more than 4 wins, because if they do, for example, you gotta have 7 wins if your opponent has 5 wins, to win a set. You can choose the length of your matches by choosing 1, 3, or 5 sets. Faults are also in the game, and it's hard to avoid them during a serve. You can also go trough a tournament with the rest of the players to win a trophy.


Replay Value: 6: Well, it's fun that you can play in doubles action, and tournament mode is a plus as well, too bad there wasn't a 2-player link mode, or this game would've been a heck of a lot of fun.

Overall: 7: The game comes with your Virtual Boy, and is a great game, Mario Kart proved to be fun by
combining Kart Racing with Mario characters, and this title combines tennis with them, and it comes out another winning combination, so don't miss out on it.
