- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

	Hey, wazzup? If you're looking for this FAQ, man you gotta be a hardcore Megaman Fan. And
I mean it. Because this game is neither released in North American (or any country other than Japan as
far as I know), actually this game is recognized as a lost megaman game in many official magazines. So
I assume you're using emulator for this game, and for the best of my knowledge there are not many ws
emulators around, and they either have problems emulating one thing or another so... (got a bit carried
away here).
	That right Rockman.Exe WS is the first game that attempt side-scrolling action in the Battle
Network Series (not Megaman Network Transmission). Although rumor says this game does not worth
playing, but personally I think this game is awesome. It features almost all aspects of the Battle Network
Series, such as Battle Chip, Style, Program advance, etc.
	This is actually my first FAQ, simply because nobody else is write one for this game and there
seems to be a request. However, you are welcome to e-mail me if you have any questions or report a
flaw in this FAQ, or just e-mail me for anything, I dont like to block people.

          2. Controls & Basic Game Play
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

	The controls of this game can get rather complicated if you are not familiar with Wonderswan.
But bottom line, you're still using a d-pad for movement and B&A for shoot and jump:

	Start Button - (usually default Enter in most emulators) call out the PET Menu, skip scenes
	B Button - (usually default Z in most emulators) fire/charge MegaBuster, and close PET Menu
	A Button - (usally default X in most emulators) Jump, slide, flip through scenes, and confirmation
 	X-pad - (usally default ArrowKeys in most emulators) movement in Cyperworld and PET Menu
	Y-pad - (usally default W,A,S,D in most emulators) select/use battle chips

	In the PET Menu, you can equip Megaman.exe with different battle chip by choosing the slot,
and then choose a battle chip. Also you can switch to the Style Screen with left/right button to change
his Style. But the you will not be able to equip him with anything unless you have the certain battle
chip or style.
	Sometimes in the game you will see the signal on the PET fade. Yes, just like MegamanZero,
this game IS time based, if you spend too much time on a certain place of a level(for getting chip data
or whatever reason), the signal WILL fade and you will not be able to send any chip data or equip a
style. And in certain places of the level you will see the PET beeping and flashing. Most of the times,
that indicates there is a rare/special chip around, and you will either have to break a wall or jump up/down
a slope to get it; but sometimes it's just that Netto wants to communicate with you.

	If you're actually reading this FAQ, i assume you are familiar with the Battle Network Series, so
I dont have to repeat it all over again since it's on every single website that has game review/preview.
"In the year 20XX...
	This game is mostly based on the story plot in season one, and a bit in season two since you
will get to fight the multi-bug organism, Gospel*. I think this game's plot is more like the animation than
any other Megaman Battle Network games.

*I dont know why dont the North American folks called it Treble since that's what it has been called all
along in the original series.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	I. Scenario One
	Scene one is kinda like the first scene in MMBN One, it's about Mr.Match and Fireman.  You can
read the plot if you want to.  It's about how Netto-kun(Lan) received a mail and how the oven in his
house caught on fire.
	This level is quite linear, you can just move on along the way. There's ot much to say about it,
but if you are having trouble getting through it, please to hesitate to e-mail me.
	Viruses: Canodumb, Mettaur, Swordy3, FireTower, Spooky(ghost)
	Rare Chip(s): Recover 60
	Boss(es): Fireman
	Recommanded Style: Normal, Aqua Custom
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

	II. Scenario Two

	Scene two take

	This scene takes place when the WWW had taken over the traffic. You will have to face either Elecman
or Colorman in the level. A new and pretty tough virus will make its appearance, Spikey. It will blast a
Heatshot in a relatively fast speed once in a while, and it has huge amount of HP. And when you're stuck with
him in a low ceiling, you will have no other option but to slide under his blasts. This level will also split
in half when you meet the third Spikey and a platform in the middle of the screen.

	Viruses: Mettaur2, Sparky(satelite), Spikey(wolf), Spooky2
		{Elecman Only: Thunder1, FullFire(wizard), Mettaur2, RingZap1(floating battery)
		{Colorman Only: BubbleWrap, Swordy3, Octon, Spikey
	Rare Chip(s): PanelGrab, Attack+40
		{Elecman Stage: IcePunch
		{Colorman Stage: Dash
	Boss(es): Elecman/Colorman
	Recommanded Style: Normal, WoodShield

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	III. Scenario Three
		This level is pretty much like the previous one and you have Spikey all over the place.
You will need some movement skill(or just Hub Style+AirShoe) to get the Sword ship though.  It will become
really handy against bosses since the damage of the double slash is equivalent to two fully charged buster.
Generally speaking, I think Magic man's level is easier then Pharohman's stage and Magicman is an easier Navi
as well.  By this point of the game you will probably notice that a Navi boss is weak against the special chip
particularily found in that stage(like Pharohman is EXTREMELY weak against Burning Body).
	Viruses:  Canodumb, Mettaur2, Spikey
		{Magicman Only: Spooky, Canodumb, BubbleWrap, MettFire, TriArrow, Mettaur
		{Pharohman Only: Handy, Spooky2, Canodumb, MettFire, Swordy3, Snapper
	Rare Chip(s): Sword
		{Magicman Stage: GutsPunch
		{Pharohman Stage: Burning Body
	Boss(es): Magicman/Pharohman
	Recommanded Style: Normal, HeatGuts
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

	IV. Scenario Four
		This Stage will be mostly done by jumping and sliding. A good way and probably the only decent
way to defeat Flappy and get their chips without dropping in to the pit is to use either Dash or Burning Body
with timing. I think bombman's level is easier because I got stuck in Snakeman's stage the first time when I
cant do the b2b jumping of the five blocks(almost right after snake ride, striaght vertical). The WideSword in
the common area is pretty obvious, however, you may need the AirShoe chip to get back otherwise you WILL have
to drop in the pit on purpose and start over.

	Viruses: Sparky, Octon, Flappy(anvil), Spooky, Mettaur2, Snapper(ninja owl), Canodumb
		{Bombman Only: Flappy, Beetank, BubbleWrap, Canodumb, Dynamite(grenade bag)
		{Snakeman Only: Puffy, Octon, Buffy, FullFire, BubbleWrap, Snakegg
	Rare Chip(s): WideSword
		{Bombman Stage: LongSword
		{Snakeman Stage: AirShoe, ElecSword
	Boss(es):Bombman/Snakeman
	Recommanded Style: Normal, AquaCustom, ElecBrother

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	V. Scenario Five
		HAHA, Wily is mad now hay?  But you wont let him win right?(heehee) This level will be really
easy if you have a ElecBrother Style or a PanelGrab or AirShoe equipped.  You will need a IcePunch Chip to
get the Firesword(actually when Netto communicate with you, he will tell you what chip to use to brake the
barrier).  Fireman's stage will be WAY tougher then Elecman's, simply because the last "tight rope without a
circus net" thingy. But you will get a DynamWave, which is pretty darn hard to try to get it from a Mettaur.
In Elecman's stage you will get AquaSword instead.  I highly recommand you to have PanelGrab and WoodShield
paired up in Elecman's level because enemy's attack will more than likely to push Megaman off a platform when
he is raising his shield, but with PanelGrab it's easier to keep him on the platform.
	Viruses: Mettaur2, Lockon(machine gun), Spooky2, Spooky, Canodumb
		{Fireman Only: BubbleWrap, Spooky2, Lockon, FireTower, Dynamite
		{Elecman Only: Thunder, Sparky, Puffy, Fullfire
	Rare Chip(s): FireSword
		{Fireman Stage: DynamWave, Recover 60
		{Elecman Stage: AquaSword
	Boss(es):Fireman/Elecman
	Recommanded Style: Normal, AquaCustom, WoodShield
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

	VI. Final Scenario
		Guess what? Wily and the WWW is down to his last diaper! That's right, they kidnapped Roll and just
to lure Megaman into their base. Protoman will come and help too, but sadly not helping you but get in your way.
(Netto and Megaman are always just two amateurs in Enzan's eyes, that's why he doesnt want Netto to get in the way)
The screen that has Flappy and Sparky is the one to get that has Undershirt hidden. Before you drop down the pit,
Lan will tell you to use a Program Advance to brake the barrier. After you drop down the from the left, you will see
a barrier which you can brake with a LifeSwordI P.A., brake it and get UnderShir inside. After Protoman, there will
be Lockon and Dynamite, those Dynamite will occasionally drop BigBomb chips, so dont miss them.

	Viruses: Octon, Puffy, Sparky, Mettaur2, Beetank, Snakegg, Spooky2, Buffy, Fishy2, Flappy, Handy, Lockon, Dynamite
	Rare Chip(s): Invisible1, UnderShirt
	Boss(es): Protoman and Life Virus
	Recommanded Style: Normal, HubStyle

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	VII. Secret Stage
	You must beat this game twice, have all the WWW Navis defeated and have aquired Hub Style to get
into the secret stage(is there any difference between those three?).  This level CAN be really difficult if
you dont have great movement skill and timing.  Those deadly spikes could pretty much kill you everytime.
Compare to all the other levels, this one is actually short.  If you are having trouble getting through
the spikes, try to get there as soon as possible so you are still in contact with Lan to upload chips like
Burning Body, Dash, and Invisible1 to guide Megaman through the area.
	Viruses: Spooky2, Octon, Mettaur, Buffy, Puffy, TriArrow
	Rare Chip(s): None
	Boss(es): Gospel
	Recommanded Style: Normal, ElecBrother, Hub Style
          5. Style Change Guide
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
	Unlike the Style Change in Megaman Battle Network II, you do not have to accumulate
certain ways of deletion in order to get a style, nor to have to win 280 battles to get a new one.  In
this game, a new style is gain automatically when you defeat a certain Navi in a certain scenario, and
you can carry all the battle styles at once and equip Megaman with a different style as long as you
have access to your PET.  In order to obtain all the styles, you will have to beat the game at least
twice due to different bosses are in different paths of the same stage.
	One thing to always remember: Styles are NOT power ups, each style has it's own pros and
cons and no style is "absolutely" stronger than another".  Styles are meant to deal with certain nasty
situations which others cannt or will have a hard time. However, ways to aquire all the styles are list as
the following:
	Normal Style
	Description:  The traditional rockbuster style.  Original Style of the blue-bomber.  It's attack
		is non-elemental.  And the charged buster will kill most small viruses in a blast.
	How to get: Given by dad with Megaman in the beginning(in other words, you dont need to
		do anything to "get" this one.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
	HeatGut Style
	Description: 	>Charged Buster will become a FlameThrower
			>Power of buster will be raised
			>2x attack power against Wood type enemy(are there any?)
			>take double the damage against water attacks
	How to get: Defeat Fireman in Scene Five
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
	ElecBrother Style (aka ElecNavi)
	Description: 	>Charged Buster will become a ZapRing
			>Speed of Movement will be raised
			>2x attack power against Water type enemy
			>take double the damage against wood attacks
	How to get: Defeat Elecman in Scene Five
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
	AquaCustom Style
	Description:	>Charged Buster will become a Bubbler
			>Charged time will be reduced
			>2x attack power against Fire type enemy
			>take double the damage against electric attacks
	How to get: Defeat Bombman in Scene Four
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
	WoodShield Style
	Description:	>Charged Buster will become a Twister*
			>a Shield is often raised to reduce the damage by 1/2*
			>2x attack power against Electric type enemy
			>take double the damage against fire attacks
	How to get: Defeat Snakeman in Scene Four
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
	Hub Style (aka Saito Style)
	Description:  	>Buster's attack power will be doubled
			>AirShoe, and PanelGrab are equipped
			>Non-elemental
			>Take twice the damage against ALL types of attacks(including non-elemental)
	How to get: Defeat every single one of the WWW Navis and you will get this style the next time
		you defeat Life Virus/beat the game.  You will have to beat the game at least twice
		to get this style since there is no known way that you can fight all the Navi bosses
		in one around.  It is also impossible to figure out whather or not Blues(Protoman)
		and Life Virus counts as the requirements because you will have to fight them to
		beat the game.
~~~~Battle Chips~~~~

	Just like in any other game of the battle network series, you will receive a chip data sometimes
when deleting viruses. Some battle chips are totally random on what enemeies that carry it, some chips
only appear on certain enemies. There are basically three kinds of battle chips: Standard chips, which
are the ones you get from deleting enemies, and have a one-time-only usage; Special Chips, which grand
megaman unlimited usage but only appear in certain areas of the stage and most of the times quite
shady; and Support Chips, which will be in effect as long as you slot them in the PET menu, and most of
them hidden in special areas of the game. The following is a list of all the battle chips in the game:

~~~~Program Advance~~~~
	Just like in MMBN I, II & III, you can select certain chips together to create a new and more
powerful chip.  This method is called Program Advance or P.A. in short.  In this game, you do not have to
select those chips in order since they appear on the screen anyways.  And they do not have unrealistic
power either.  When You select the correct chips in order, you will heard a chime and the chips will glow
together, then tab down twice to execute the P.A.  The following is a list of all the P.A.:
1. LifeSwordI
         7. Boss Guide
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
	Just like all the Megaman games, some bosses in the game could be a real challenge.  There are a
total of 10 bosses in this game. The following is a guide on how to beat'em:
1. Fireman
Operator: Mr.Match
	The first Navi that appears in this game besides Megaman.  He is pretty easier but also CAN be a
pain if you are new to this game.  His triple fire shot can be dodged easily with jump or slide.  His
flamethrow is a perfect opportunity for you to attack while his is standing still.  The only strong and
probably hardest to dodge attack is his double fire-tower, but can he defeat you with only one critical
attack? Not a chance, right?  If you are new to this game and really having a hard time beating him, my
only advise will be to PRACTICE.  Afterall, he is nothing compare to what yo will face next.
	Recommanded Style: AquaCustom
	Recommanded Chips: GutsPunch, AquaSword, and {HeavyStamp}.
2. Elecman
Operator: Count Zap
	This Navi by the name is an electric type, he can emit homing sparks that first stock up in the
center and then charge at you.  By charging, he can also slash you with his energy whip/sword.  But his
most deadly move is Thunder(Pokemon reference).  He will be invicible while striking you with four b2b
thunderbolts, it could be dodged by equipping Megaman with PanelGrab and slide though.
	Recommanded Style: WoodShield
	Recommanded Chips: IcePunch, WideSword, and {UltraBomb}.
3. Colorman
Operator: Madd (lol)
	Colorman is a funny guy.  Dispite his clown-like appearence, his is quite a match.  His will shot
out randomly fire or aqua tower for his first move and then throw the ball under him that bounce up and
down the screen.  Colorman can spin himself to make him invicibal for a second. Overall, even though he is
non-elemental, but at this point of the game you shouldnt have much trouble defeating him.
	Recommanded Style: WoodShield, ElecBrother
	Recommanded Chips: Dash, LongSword, and {LifeSword}.
4. Magicman
Operator: Yahoot
	The game gets a bit fun from starting here.  Enemies attacks will not be so obviously duckable, and
most players will panic. You will actually have to FIGHT the enemy, not just dodge and fire till he's killed.
Magicman's magic fire attack can be quite hard to dodge but luckily doesnt deal much damage. Try to shock'em
with a GutsPunch and slice'em with a WideSword when his is on the ground.  Dont worry about the damage he
does to you.  He WILL get deleted before you, trust me.
	Recommanded Style: HeatGuts, WoodShield
	Recommanded Chips: WideSword, ElecSword, GutPunch, and {HeavyStamp}.
5. Pharohman
Operator: None
	If you had played either MMBNI or II, you will know that Pharohman is not a regular surface net Navi.
He IS the Guardian of the deepest part of the net.  In the animation, he even deleted Megaman.exe in one shot!
He is real tough, and probably the toughest Navi if you didnt figure out THE effective way to defeat him.
That is, to use the Burning Body chip you acquired in his very own stage.  Even with your buster fully charged,
you will not deal a lot of damage and on the other hand, all of his attacks are really hard to avoid and
deals hell-lot of damage at the same time.  The only decent way is to equip Burning Body and FIGHT him.  He
WILL be down in four hits.
	Recommanded Style: HeatGuts
	Recommanded Chips: Burning Body and {HeavyStamp}.
6. Bombman
Operator: None
	Same with the previous two Navis, his attacks are pretty hard to avoid but luckily do not deal as
much damage and deadly as Pharohman's.  You dont exactly need a strategy for him, just remember to be steady
and not to panic when you get hit.
	Recommanded Style: AquaCustom
	Recommanded Chips: AquaSword, Sword, WideSword, LongSword, and {LifeSword}.
7. Snakeman
Operator: Mrs. Millions
	HE IS NOT TOUGH.  Sorry, just the developers probably think that after the crunch from the previous
three Navis our players should have a brake and face something easy.  After you acquired the ElecSword from
his stage, he will be NO challenge at all.  You can slice all his search snakes with any type of sword, and
himself is weak to ElecSword even though I'm not sure why.  Dont worry about his bite attack, that wont be
fatal.
	Recommanded Style: HeatGuts
	Recommanded Chips: ANY Sword and {Zeta-Cannon}.
8. Blues (aka Protoman.exe)
Operator: Ijuin Enzan (aka Chaud Blaze)
	Now he is famous, and cool.  But u-noe-wut? Too bad... too bad he show up at this point of the game.
You should at least have two styles and four or more special chips now.  If he appears earlier in the game,
trust me you will not be able to defeat him and not even close.  But with all the handy styles and chips
you have right now, he should not be that hard.  You can simply jump over his Sonic Boom and try to avoid
getting hit by his dash and aerial slash.  But I suggest you to use the FIGHT strategy rather than and
dodge one.
	Recommanded Style: ElecBrother, WoodShield
	Recommanded Chips: ANY Sword and {HeavyStamp}.
9. LifeVirus
Operator: Wily
	Well, what can I say, dont expect the FINAL enemy to be a piece of cake.  Afterall, his is the
ultimate creation of Wily.  Combined with the four types of elemental Aura, this monster is supposed to
have a aura that is non-piercable by anything.  Though his shield is scary enough.  A Sword chip is almost
crucial in defeating him.  ALL of his attacks are deadly and you WILL be deleted with just two hits.  And
this is probably the only enemy in which you will HAVE to use the dodge strategy than the FIGHT one.  It
has double the HP than a ordinary Navi, and if you do not crash his shield fast enough, he will put out a
special attack that is really hard to avoid which slims the chance of your victory.  So, a Sword chip or
the likes is quite important.  You can also jump over his laser with proper timing but however it may take
hell lot of practice though.
	Recommanded Style: WoodShield
	Recommanded Chips: ANY Sword and {Zeta-Cannon}.
10. Gospel
Operator: Sean (not really since he cant really control it)
	The multi-bug organism created by Gospel's Super Navi Project.  Not much is known about it though.
It has three attacks: the DynamicWave is easy enough to dodge; he will try to suck you into him then burn
you with his fire blast, avoid with slide; his GigaCrush is the hardest to dodge.  Perfect Strategy: have
UnderShirt, PanelGrab, AirShoe, and some other chips equipped and use HubStyle try to bring him down with
fully charged HubBuster, and when he uses GigaCrush, quickly change to WoodShield Style and change back
after.
	Recommanded Style: HubStyle, WoodShield
	Recommanded Chips: {HeavyStamp}, {Zeta-Cannon} and {UltraBomb}.
~~~~Pros and Cons~~~~

 Pros:
	>Styles, that's definitly important
	>Program Advance!
	>The traditional side-scrolling always got its charm
	>Well, a shocking nice graphic for WonderSwan
	>A neat proper difficulty
 Cons:
	>Not that many characters
	>Bass?
	>Story Plot too short
	>Of Course, this game is not released in English

~~~~Challenge Mode~~~~
	After you first beat Gospel, the Challenge Mode will be unlocked.  There will be one extra option
under the start menu.  There are three difficulties of the Challenge Mode: Easy, Normal and Hard(in that
order starting from top).  And after you reached 100% syncronization(ie, have defeated all Navi bosses,
have all special chips, have all styles), the EXtra-Hard Mode will be unclocked.  There is no difference
in the enemies oyu have to face in the different difficulties but you will have different chips.
Easy Mode: 	>Your HP is recovered after each battle
		>You have all the Styles
		>You have ALL the Chips
Normal Mode:	>Your HP is recovered after each battle
		>You have all the Styles
		>You have all the Chips except the three Support Chips
Hard Mode:	>Your HP is recovered after each battle
		>You have all the Styles
		>You only have a few recovery chips
EX-Hard Mode:	>Your HP is not recoverd after each battle
		>You only have the Normal Style
		>You onlu have a few recovery chips
Sounds hard hay? Trust me, it's harder than you think.  This mode is only for the amusement if this game
is not hard enough for you though...
