II : Basics of the game

Like the title of the game hints, the object of the game is to collect the 
40 Winks.  The 40 Winks are scattered into 6 worlds.  4 Worlds have 7 
Winks each, while the other 2 Worlds have 6 Winks each.  When you have the 
40 Winks, you can open the door that leads to the final boss.

Each world requires that you finish the previous world before entering it.
In each of the 6 world, there are 3 levels and 1 boss level.

Not only you must collect the Winks in every level, but you must also 
collect 4 Dream Keys on every level too.  There is a total of 12 Dream Keys 
in each world.  12 Dream Keys are necessary to open the boss level.  If you 
finish a level without collecting all the Dream Keys, you'll have no choice
but to go through the level again to find all the Dream Keys this time.

In each world, you can do various things like saving your game, racing 
against Threadbear's champion, entering the 3 levels, using your Dream Keys 
to open the boss level, or going back into the house.

In each level, there are approximately 40 Cogs (40 in most levels).
Sometimes there is a little bit more (like 45).  In some levels, you don't
need 40 Cogs to finish the level, but most levels require it.  You must 
collect Cogs to open doors and activate elevators.

In every world, there is a Threadbear's champion floating around.  If you 
hit him, you can race against him.  If you win the race, you'll keep all 
the items you collected in the race.  You can race as many times as you 
want.  Races can be a good idea idea if you need some life.

You can save your game by jumping on the chair in every world.

You can play as the boy (Ruff) or as the girl (Tumble).  The game is pretty 
much the same except very minor differences.  There are approximately 4-6 
rooms in the whole game that can only be opened by a boy or a girl.  Also, 
both characters special costumes do the exact same things.

Useless tip : You can talk to the Winks near the entrances of each level by
punching them.  Once you save them, they say something different.

III : Controls and costumes

A) Controls 


=Normal=

First-person view = triangle
Long range attack = circle (while standing)
Moving attack = circle (while running)
Butt bounce = circle (once in the air) (Tip : When falling from a high 
              height that normally do damage, butt-bounce so you won't 
              receive any damage.)
Jump = X
Attack = square (press three times for a combo)
Pause = START
Rotate camera left = L1
Rotate camera right = R1

Dive under water = circle
Swim = press and hold X
Attack = square
Jump out of the water = X on surface

Accelerate = X

B) Costumes

Here are the special abilities for each costume.


#####Prehistoric Man#####

-Super-butt-bounce : the Prehistoric Man has the ability to 
"super-butt-bounce".  Simply jump and press circle.  Use this move to 
uncover holes in the ground of some places.


#####Jester#####

-Unlimited oxygen : the Jester has an unlimited amount of air supply in the 
water.

-Impervious to gas : the Jester can go through toxic gases without taking 
any damage.


#####Super-Hero#####

-Jet-pack : the Super-Hero can double-jump using his jet-pack.  Jump and 
then press X another time in the air to use the jet-pack.

-Homing missiles : The Super-Hero long-range attack is a homing missile.  
Press circle while standing to shoot.


#####Ninja#####

-Spinning attack : press and hold circle while running.  You can continue 
to move while spinning.  Beware, if you hold circle for a too long time, 
the Ninja will be dizzy and vulnerable.

-Rope hanging : in certain places, you can hang on a rope and cross an 
area.  Go directly below the hanging rope and face the direction you want 
to go.  Jump and the Ninja will automatically hang on the rope.  Press up 
to move forward and X to drop down.  You can't move backward.

IV : Winks locations

#####Nightmare Dreamworld#####


=Tick Tock Manor=

1-After the acid lake, you'll arrive in a room with 2 coffins.  Hit the 
switch in the next room so you can enter the coffins.  The Wink is in the 
right coffin.

2-End of stage.  The Wink is on a wooden trap bridge.  Enter the door near 
that place and butt-bounce the button, so the bridge will be safe now.


=Creepy Crawly Cemetary=

1-Kill the ghost mini-boss and go in the next room at your right.  You'll 
notice a strange spot on the ground.  Transform into a Prehistoric Man and 
butt-bounce the strange spot.  The wink is inside the hole.

2-End of stage.  Use the 40-cogs elevator.  You'll arrive to another 
elevator.  It can go down two floors.  The Wink is at the very bottom floor.
Kill all the green monsters and the door will be unlocked.


=Witch Way Woods=

1-When you cross the 10-cogs door, you arrive in a huge area with 5 doors, 
including the one you came from.  Go in the first room at your right.  
There is a Wink there.

2-Same area than number 1.  When you arrive in the huge area, go in the 
room directly in front of the 10-cogs door.  There is a Ninja box there.  
Transform into a Ninja and go to the door with a Ninja button.  Butt-bounce 
it and get the Wink in that room.

3-At the end of the level, there is a boss :  a witch.  Once you kill it, 
the Wink is free from his prison.

#####Underwater Dreamworld#####


=Splish Splash City=

1-Right after the Jester costume box, jump in the water.  There are 3 doors 
in that area.  Go through the door on the right side.  It looks like a 
dead-end, but its not.  At the end of the tunnel, swim up and you'll appear 
in a room.  The Wink is in that room.

2-End of level.  Before getting there, you'll have to open a door with 3 
locks.  There are 3 switches (one on each floor).  Each switch open a lock.


=Crazy Crab Caverns=

1-In the lava area, go through the 30-cogs door.  The wink is at the end of 
the room.

2-Return to the underwater 40-cogs door and get the Wink.


=Crusty Rusty Wreck=

1-After the 20-cogs door, advance until you arrive in a place with water.  
Jump on the block then jump on the other side.  Take the elevator.  You'll 
be on a corridor with big holes.  Continue past the corner and open the 
door at the end of the corridor.  There is a Wink in the cage.

2-There is a 30-cogs door and you can see the Wink on the other side.  
Return to the door once you have 30 Cogs and open it.

3-You notice that the Wink is imprisonned in a 40-cogs cage.  Continue 
through a new 30-cogs door.  Hit the switch and a teleporter will 
appear.  It teleports you in the water.  Quickly take all the remaining 
Cogs and swim through the 40-cogs trap once you're done.  Now you can free 
the Wink in the cage.

#####Space Dreamworld#####


=Cosmic Cheese Caves=

1-First, start by transforming into a Super-Hero near the place with the 4 
buttons.  Then go on the upper bridge and cross it.  You'll soon arrive to 
a place when you can drop down.  Just carefully move forward and drop 
down below.  Now turn left, then turn right.  Butt-bounce the Super-Hero 
button and go in the new room to transform into a Jester.  Now go all the 
way back to the place with the 4 buttons on the ground.  There is a Jester 
button.  Butt-bounce it and the two Winks are yours.

2-Read number 1.


=Lunar Mice Meteorite=

1-After you use an elevator, there is a door at your left.  You'll arrive 
in a place with rocks falling from the sky.  Go forward and you'll find a 
corridor.  The Wink is at the end of the corridor.

2-After you use the same elevator than the previous Wink, there is the door 
at your left that leads to the area with the falling rocks and the Wink 
number 1.  Well, there is another door at your right, but it is hidden.  
Enter this door and go through the 40-cogs door.  The Wink is there.


=Snoozy Woozy Satellite=

1-Right after the room with 4 switches, you'll arrive in a big room and you 
can see the Wink in front of you.

2-Just before entering the 10-cogs door, there is a room at your left.  
Butt-bounce the button and the door leads to a Wink imprisonned in a 20-
cogs prison.  Return there once you have 20 Cogs.

3-End of stage.  By using a rope as a Ninja, you'll appear behind the cage 
where the Wink is imprisonned.  Butt-bounce the Ninja button and the Wink 
is yours.

#####Prehistoric Dreamworld#####


=Stony Bony Valley=

1-Go through the 10-cogs door near the lava waterfall.  You'll teleport 
inside of a prison where a Wink is being caught.

2-End of stage.  When you have 40 Cogs, go through the 40-cogs door and 
rescue the Wink.


=Drip Drop Swamp=

1-Near the end, there is a big tree with mushrooms growing on it.  Climb on 
the mushrooms until you are at the top of the tree.  Transform into a Ninja 
and jump next to the Ninja button.  Butt-bounce it and the door will open.

2-End of stage, behind the 40-cogs door.


=Tippy Toe Temple=

1-In the room with the hanging ropes, cross the first rope then cross
the second rope.  You'll arrive to a place where there is a Wink.

2-End of stage.

#####Castle Dreamworld#####


=Deep Dark Dungeon=

1-After going through the first 20-cogs door, you'll teleport to the
starting point of the stage.  There is a Wink there, behind a 20-cogs door.

2-Go through the 40-cogs door at the end of the level.  Beware, there is a
trap in front of the door and you may die if you fall here.  The teleporter
on the other side of the door will teleports you to the beginning of the
stage.  There is a Wink behind a 40-cogs door there.


=Knight Time Towers=

1-You'll soon arrive in a room with many doors and a well in the middle.  
When you first enter the room, go in the first room at your right.  There 
is a Wink there.

2-End of stage.  Once you rescue the Wink, the exit appears at the other
side of the door.


=Tumble Down Ruins=

1-Right after the 40-cogs door.

#####Pirate Dreamworld#####


=Barnacle Boatyard=

1-In the middle of the stage, you'll come across a Wink in a cage.

2-Take the 40-Cogs elevator and rescue the last Wink.


=Pirates Paradise=

1-At a certain point in the stage, you'll teleport in a room with that Wink
in it.  In fact, it teleports you back to the beginning of the stage.  The 
difference is that the two doors are unlocked this time.

2-After the 40-cogs door, there is a room full of barrels.  Destroy them
with long-range attacks, because a lot of them contain bombs or monsters.
The path where you came from will be closed and a teleporter will appear in
the corner of the room.  It leads to the last Wink.


=The Scary Mary=

1-In the area with the lighthouse, transform into a Ninja and go inside the
lighthouse.  An elevator will lead you down.  Butt-bounce the Ninja button
and return to the elevator.  Climb until you get at the top of the
lighthouse.  Transform into a Prehistoric Man and jump below (by
butt-bouncing to avoid damage).  Return into the lighthouse and take the
elevator down.  Butt-bounce the Prehistoric Man button.  Now go in the room 
at your right.  There is a Wink there.

2-Directly after picking the first Wink, go in the room directly facing the
room you are in.  There is another Wink there.

3-End of stage.  Once you have 40 Cogs, return in the area with the big 
ship.  There is a Ninja Jack-in-a-Box there and also a 40-cogs door.  Go in
the 40-cogs door.  Pick your 40th Wink.  Congratulations!  You rescued all
the Winks!

V : Dream Keys locations

#####Nightmare Dreamworld#####


=Tick Tock Manor=

1-Right behind the stairs at the beginning of the stage.

2-Floating over the acid lake.  There is a floating platform there.  Stay 
on the platform and jump to get it.

3-In the area with the wooden traps and the Jester costume.  Press the 
buttons before walking on the wooden traps, so they'll be safe.  You'll 
need to transform into a Jester to butt-bounce the second button to disarm 
the second set of traps.  The key is near the exit of that area.

4-In the big room with a fireplace.  Once you use the first elevator, go 
into the corridor that is there and you'll find the key.


=Creepy Crawly Cemetary=

1-Behind the first tree directly at your right when you enter the first 
cemetary.

2-Behind the tree where the Prehistoric Man costume box is.

3-The place look like this : there is a Wink in a prison (you can't save 
him 
yet) and 2 Prehistoric Man Tokens around.  There is a lonely tree there.  
Check behind that tree.

4-Right after you bounce a Prehistoric Man button to unlock a door, you'll 
cross a tunnel and eventually arrive to an area that looks like this:  
there are 2 graves and a tree between them.  Look behind the tree.


=Witch Way Woods=

1-Use the Prehistoric Man costume to butt-bounce the button that open a 
door and go in the room with two sleeping monsters.  There is another door 
that leads to another room.  The key is there.

2-Its at the end of the underwater tunnel, in the water, in the beginning 
of the stage.

3-Once you go through the 20-cogs door, you'll arrive in a big area.  Look 
at your left.

4-Same area than the last key.  There is a lake at your left.  There is an 
underwater cave in that lake.  The key is at the end of the cave.

#####Underwater Dreamworld#####


=Splish Splash City=

1-When you go through the 10-cogs door, turn left end enter the room.  
Notice a very high open area right in front of you.  Transform into a 
Super-Hero and jump there using the jetpack.

2-Right after the 20-cogs door, plunge into the water and look around you.  
The key is at the dead-end.

3-Right after the Jester costume box, you jump in the water.  There are 3 
doors in that area.  The two doors on the left side are connected together 
by a tunnel.  The key is in that tunnel.

4-Right after the 30-cogs door, you'll arrive in a room with 2 other 
doors.  Go in the door at your left.  Climb the spiral stairs and you'll 
eventually arrive to a water area.  Plunge into the water and go forward 
until you pick the key.


=Crazy Crab Caverns=

1-From the beginning of the stage, swim until you arrive in a room where 
you can go out of the water.  There are big pillars there.  The key is in 
the air.

2-Right before entering the 20-cogs door, transform into a Jester and 
butt-bounce the button in that room.  It will open a door.  There is a key 
floating; the Jester costume allows you to jump high enough to get it.

3-In front of the big Nitekap statue that spit fire, there is a door.  Go 
in that room and punch the chest right in front of you.

4-Right behind the 40-cogs door in the lava area, there are 3 chests.  The 
key is in the chest at your right.


=Crusty Rusty Wreck=

1-This one is easy to miss.  After the 20-cogs door, advance until you 
arrive in a place with water.  Jump on the block then jump on the other 
side.  Take the elevator.  You'll be on a corridor with big holes.  The door
leading to the key is right in front of you.  This is a door with no ledge, 
on the facing wall, in the corner.

2-Drop into a small hole so you can swim next to the sunken ship.  The key 
is in the first room you'll see at your right.  Its in a chest.

3-Drop into a small hole so you can swim next to the sunken ship (like 
number 2).  You'll eventually return inside the ship.  Go through the door, 
climb the stairs, turn right, turn right again and go through the door at 
the end of the corridor.  The key is floating over the hole on the floor.

4-In the room with a Wink imprisonned behind a 30-cogs door, plunge into the
water.  Follow the path until you see a tunnel that go down.  Go in that 
tunnel and follow it.  Go up.  Now turn right.  There is a room there with a
key inside.


=====

#####Space Dreamworld#####


=Cosmic Cheese Caves=

1-At one point there is a big hole in the ground.  There is also a 
Super-Hero costume box next to the hole.  Below, there is a key in the room 
filled with monsters.

2-There is one place where you must butt-bounce a Jester-button and it 
teleports you somewhere.  There is a huge hole in front of you.  Well, there
is a ledge to your left.  Drop there and go in the corridor.  There is a 
button there.  Butt-bounce it, so the room with the key will be accessible 
later.  After butt-bouncing the button, continue and carefully drop down on 
the ledge below.  Jump again to the other ledge, and you'll find yourself 
in a corridor.  Now that you have butt-bounced the button, two walls will 
open at your left.  The key is inside a chest in that room.

3-Later in the stage, there is a small room with two monsters.  Kill them 
so the door will open.  In the next area, there is a very narrow bridge.  
The key is right in front of you on the bridge.

4-There is a room with 3 normal buttons and 1 Jester-button.  Butt-bounce 
the normal button in front of the locked door and the door will be unlocked.
There is a Super-Hero costume box in that room and also a key floating in 
the air.


=Lunar Mice Meteorite=

1-Right after the 10-cogs door, you must jump in a hole.  There is a key 
there.

2-At one point in the stage, you'll use a teleporter and appear right on a 
Jester button.  The key is near the door in front of you, at the end of the 
corridor.  Just look at your left when you're near the door.

3-There is a place where you must activate a floating platform to cross a 
very long electricity corridor.  In the room at the other side, there is a 
place that you just have to jump to get the key. 

4-First transform into a Jester and cross the long electricity corridor by 
stepping on the platform.  Go through the door and cross that room.  Go 
through the other door and look at your left, in the air.  Go below the key 
and jump.  The Jester costume allow you to jump high enough to get the key.


=Snoozy Woozy Satellite=

1-There is a gigantic area with falling rocks.  A key is in that area, on 
the ground.

2-After you cross the acid area, you'll eventually go through a 
teleporter.  In the new room where you appear, stay on the ground and go in 
the door.  Go through a second door at the end of the corridor and 
immediatly turns right.  You'll be in a room with a few pillars.  Check 
around the pillar in the middle of the room.  There is a key.

3-After you crossed the first rope with the Ninja, you'll come to a place 
with rocks moving on a conveyor.  Well, the key is high in the air.  Jump 
on a rock and then jump in the air to get the key.

4-There is a conveyor transporting big rocks.  After that, there is a big 
room.  There are floating platforms that come from the wall at your left.  
Step on one of these platform.  The key is near the exit of that room.  You 
need to jump to get it.

#####Prehistoric Dreamworld#####


=Stony Bony Valley=

1-From the beginning, go through the door.  You'll be in a big area with 
lava.  Go in the first door at your right.  Now there is a big hole in 
front of you.  At the right of the hole, there is an open space.  The key 
is in a chest there.

2-Right at the beginning of the area with rolling rocks.  Check in the 
place where the first rock come from.

3-In the area with rolling rocks, you'll have to jump over a canyon full of 
lava at one place.  Instead of jumping, turn right and go inside the canyon 
by using the small ledges.  There is a key at the bottom.

4-After you transform into a Jester for butt-bouncing a Jester button, 
you'll come to a place with a path that go left.  Well, ignore this path.  
Continue forward and turn left in the second path.  Drop down below and 
pick the key.


=Drip Drop Swamp=

1-First you need to transform into a Prehistoric Man.  Then go through the 
10-cogs door.  First the path turns right, then turns right, then turn left.
In the next corner, there is a hidden spot on the ground that you can 
break, using the Prehistoric Man butt-bounce technique.  In the next room, 
the key is floating in the air over the hole.  Transform into a Ninja, so 
now you can jump high enough to grab the key.

2-After the 20-cogs door, there is a teleporter.  Go in it.  Now turn left 
and check in the small pond that is there.

3-Depending of the path you take, you'll arrive to a big area with two blue 
dinosaurs on the ground.  There is a rope where the Ninja can hang, 
crossing this area.  There is also a small pond with an underwater tunnel 
below.  At the other end, near the ground, there is a teleporter.  Before 
jumping on the hill with the teleporter, turn left.  There is a key at the 
end of the area.

4-Near the end, there is a big tree with mushrooms growing on it.  Climb on 
the mushrooms until you are at the top of the tree.  Transform into a Ninja.
Jump on the spot near the door, over the tree trunk.  You can see the key, 
floating near the Ninja rope.  Jump to get the key, then butt-bounce for 
avoiding damage.


=Tippy Toe Temple=

1-Right at the beginning, you enter a big room with a lake.  Go directly 
forward and plunge in the water.  There is an underwater passage that lead 
to a key.

2-Go in the lake room in the beginning.  See the big Nitekap statue with the
two hands?  There is a key hanging there and you need a Ninja costume to get
it.  In the next room, there are two teleporters.  Each teleporter leads to
a location with a Ninja costume.  The easiest way is to use the teleporter
at the top of the stairs.  Transform into a Ninja then come back using the
same teleporter.

3-After the 30-cogs door, cross the lava by jumping on each block.  Climb
the stairs then turn right.  Jump on the moving blocks to get the key at the
end of that room.

4-After the 40-cogs elevator, go through the place with the rolling rocks.
You'll soon arrive to a lava canyon.  Instead of jumping over it, turn left
and pick the key on the small ledge.

#####Castle Dreamworld#####


=Deep Dark Dungeon=

1-Right from the beginning, go through two doors and you'll be in a big 
circular room.  Right at the start of this room, jump on the little wall at
your right and check the bottom of the room.  There is a serie of ledges
that lead to a key.  Carefully drop down and retrieve the key.

2-After the 10-cogs door, there is a key floating over the little wall at
your right.

3-After crossing the first Ninja rope, jump and grab the key in the air.
Don't forget to butt-bounce to avoid damage when you fall below.

4-The key is next to the Prehistoric Man costume.  The Prehistoric Man
costume box is just before the dark rooms leading to the room with the 
guillotines.


=Knight Time Towers=

1-From the very beginning, go right.  Swim all the way to the end of the 
river.  Transform into a Jester and climb at the top of the small tower.
Look in the air.  There is a key and the way to get it is by jumping while
being a Jester.

2-First, you need 20 Cogs.  From the beginning of the stage, go left and
follow the river until you see an underwater opening at your right.  Go 
there and enter the 20-cogs door.  Continue forward and you'll find a room
with a key and a Prehistoric Man jack-in-a-box.

3-You'll soon arrive in a room with many doors and a well in the middle.
You can either go in the well or the right door on the wall in front of you.
Both paths are connected together.  The key is in the water portion of the
path.

4-Right after the deadly traps, there is an elevator.  After that, there is
a floating platform.  Cross it and turn right.  Hit the switch.  Now go in
the newly opened room.


=Tumble Down Ruins=

1-Near the beginning, you will soon find a moveable block.  There is a small
room at your left with two chests.  The wall look like a sort of stairs in
that place.  The key is at the top of these stairs.

2-This key is behind a guillotine.  First you need to activate the nearby
switch.  Once it is done, quickly grab the key before the guillotine starts
to move again.

3-You cross a room and take an elevator that leads you to the upper portion
of the room.  You must jump from bridge to bridge.  When you are on the
third bridge, you can see the key on the bridge in front of you.  Take a 
good jump and get it.

4-After you cross the room with the moving pillars and the fire-breathing
pumpkin, you'll arrive on a wooden bridge.  In the right corner in front of
you, there is a key.  Jump there.

#####Pirate Dreamword#####


=Barnacle Boatyard=

1-From the start, go forward, turn left and go forward.  Look in the air.
There is a key floating over your head but you need a Ninja costume to take
it.  So continue and turn left at the first intersection.  Enter the door
and continue until you find the Ninja costume.  Now, get the key while you
are a Ninja.

2-This one is easy to miss.  Right after the 20-cogs door, there is a 
branching path.  Go left and look behind the wood sign.

3-After you go through some underwater section, there will be a Ninja box.
Transform into a Ninja and go through the two next doors.  Look at your
left.  There is a big monster over there.  Jump on the wooden platform and
quickly slash at him with the Square button until he is dead.  The key will 
appear once you destroy the monster.

4-After the 30-cogs elevator, you'll see a key at the end of a corridor.
Beware, the floor in this corridor consists of a serie of traps.  Don't fall
below!


=Pirates Paradise=

1-Right in the beginning, there is an explosive barrel in front of you.  The
barrel is in front of a sort of natural pillar.  Look around the pillar and 
find the key.

2-Right before the 20-cogs door, after the second big monster that throws
barrels, there is an open spot high in the wall.  The Ninja form is required
to jump there.

3-Right before the 30-cogs door (you can't enter it yet), turn right and
jump on the ledges.  It leads to a room with a key in it.

4-There is a place with a fenced treehouse at your right.  Go forward.  
There is a lone rock in the middle of the next room.  The key is behind 
the rock.


=The Scary Mary=

1-Go on the pirate boat where the Ninja jack-in-box is.  There is a
wood plank that stick out from the boat.  Transform into a Ninja and go on 
the plank.  Jump and get the key.

2-In the area with a big whirpool, there is a bunch of chest on the ground.
The key is in the farther chest.  Use long-range attacks to destroy the
chests, as they contain bombs and monsters.

3-First you must go in the area with the underwater shipwrecks.  You need to
be in the Ninja form to get this key.  Swim until the other side of the 
room.  There is a part of a ship underwater, with a whirlwind in the
middle of it.  Go in the whirlwind and you'll appear on a high platform.
Jump and get the key over your head.

4-In the area with the lighthouse, there are two platforms floating on the
water.  Directly below the platform with a Continue Point, a key is hidden.

VI : Secret areas

=Nightmare Dreamworld=

Witch Way Woods

1-Transform into a Prehistoric Man and go through the Underwater tunnel.  
Continue through the teleporter and you'll find an odd spot on the ground.  
Butt-bounce it three times in the Prehistoric Man form and a hole will open.

=Underwater Dreamworld=

Crazy Crab Caverns

1-Right before entering the 20-cogs door, transform into a Jester and 
butt-bounce the button in that room.  It will open a door.  There is a key 
floating and a crab wandering in the water.  Kill the crab and it will open 
a secret passage.

2-First you must transform into a Jester.  Then travel all the way back 
until you go through the 40-cogs door in the lava area.  There are 3 chests 
there.  A Jester-button is hidden in one of the chests.  Butt-bounce it.  
Now return to the place with the big Nitekap statue that spits fire.  A 
secret passage is opened in the wall next to the statue.

=Space Dreamworld=

Snoozy Woozy Satellite

1-Its near the place with the vaccum cleaner.  Go in the room where you are 
supposed to drop down.  Don't drop down, but instead go next to the little 
grey door and wait.  The vaccum cleaner will arrive and the door will open 
for a short time.  Enter while its open.

2-After crossing the first rope with the Ninja, there will be a conveyor 
transporting big rocks.  After that, there is a big room.  Go on the top of 
the mountain and stand in the middle.  This is a secret elevator that leads 
to a secret area.

=Prehistoric Dreamworld=

Tippy Toe Temple

1-In the room with the hanging ropes, cross the first rope then go left.
Instead of going in the teleporter, check the wall.  There is a place where
the wall is red.  This red portion of the wall is in fact a door that leads
to a secret area.

=Castle Dreamworld=

Knight Time Towers

1-The room behind the 40-Cogs door is the secret area.  At the end of the 
level, after you pick the last wink, don't exit the stage yet.  Transform 
into a Jester and go all the way up again.  Now before dropping in the 
hole, collect the Cogs in the air while being a Jester.  Once you have 40 
Cogs, go through the 40-Cogs door.

=Pirate Dreamworld=

Pirates Paradise

1-Just before entering the 10-cogs door, there is a big red X on the ground
at one place.  Butt-bounce it and a secret door will open.

2-Right after you pick the first Wink, go in the teleporter ahead.  Look
behind you and spot the big red X on the ground.  Butt-bounce it.

3-After you get the first Wink and teleports in a new area, notice that one
of the holes is covered with a grid.  There is a teleport under it.  Once
you press all the switches in that area, go in the next room and turn 
right.  There is a Prehistoric Man costume here.  Go back to the place with 
a grid and butt-bounce it a few times while being a Prehistoric Man.  The 
grid will break.

4-Right before the 30-cogs door (you can't enter it yet), turn right and
jump on the ledges.  It leads to a room with a switch in it.  The switch
opens the door at the bottom of the waterfall.

VII : Boss strategies

=Nightmare Boss=

Run away from the spider until it gets sleepy.  When it is sleeping, 
perform a running attack.  Run away again, as the spider will try to stomp 
you.  Then the spider will summon a horde of small spiders.  Kill all the 
small spiders by butt-bouncing them.

=Underwater Boss=

Make circles around the crab.  The crab will try to follow you, but he 
won't be fast enough, so he'll end up being dizzy and spining around.  
While the crab is spinning, do a running attack by aiming an unprotected 
part of his body.  Its better said than done.  If you do a running attack 
on his claws, you'll just bounce back, so you must hit his body.

=Space Boss=

First, climb the little mountain and transform into a Super-Hero.  Run away 
from the flying saucer and kill the enemies.  Each time you kill an enemy, 
the flying saucer will stop and spawn a new enemy.  While the flying saucer 
is spawning an enemy, his shield is off, so its time to shoot a homing 
missile.  Each time the shield is off, Threadbear will say : "ho ho!".  
When you hear this, immediatly shoot a missile.

=Prehistoric Boss=

When the dino rubs his paw on the ground, it means he is about to charge.
When he charges, dodge him, and the front of his body will fall on the
ground.  When it happens, go behind the dino and hit his butt with normal
punches.

=Castle Boss=

This boss is hard.  He is unpredictable.  First you need to transform
into a Jester.  There are two Jester boxes.  To damage him, you need to do
an attack combo.  Only the third attack of the combo can hurt him.  To make 
an attack combo, press Square three times.  Try to attack the horse in the 
back or sides if possible.  The horse can often turn around and charge you 
anytime.  The key to destroy him is to hit him with many consecutive hits.  
Once you hit him, wait for a second or so and start another combo.  If the 
timing is correct, you'll immediatly hit him a second time, and so on.

=Pirate Boss=

Totally ignore all the pirates who are trying to kill you.  They'll die
sooner or later because of the cannons.  Concentrate on the cannons.  Hit a
cannon to fire a cannon ball.  Don't try to aim directly at Threadbear,
because he is constantly moving.  Instead, aim on places where he can go.
Sooner or later, he'll walk in the spot you aimed and he will receive a 
cannon ball in the face.

=Last Boss=

This is the last boss of the game.  Beware, because he hits hard.  You need
to hit him three times with a moving attack (press Circle while running).
the third time you hit him, the robot will fall on the ground.  Quickly
punch it with Square.  You need to repeat this procedure 15 times!  It takes
a while.  When you finally kill it, the game is finished!  Congratulations,
you finished 40 Winks!

IX : Glitches

Description : Impossibility to load games, and often problems to save.  
(Note : This glitch happened to me in my first games, then it disappeared
in my most recent games.)

Solution : Start a game and then save it to FOUR different blocks.  This 
can be any block on your memory card.  Now, after that, you must always 
SAVE your game on the FOURTH block (40 Winks number 4).  For some reason, 
you must LOAD the game from the SECOND block (40 Winks number 2).  I found 
this "solution" myself.  When you save on the fourth block, the data 
appears on the second block.  Its very strange.

Oddly enough, I started a new game and doesnt have this glitch anymore.  I
can save and load normally without any problem now.

X : Walkthrough for "Crusty Rusty Wreck"

I received a few e-mails about this level.  Some people were stuck in it.
I was personnally stuck myself in this level for a long time, before I
finally found my missing Dream Key.  Because of this, I decided to
make a walkthrough of the entire level to clear things up.

I don't believe every level of the game needs a walkthrough.  Cogs are easy to
find in most levels and you can't really get lost.  For this reason, I will only
make a walkthrough for levels that really need it.


#####Underwater Dreamworld#####

=Crusty Rusty Wreck=

Note : I only indicated what is absolutly necessary to finish the level.  This
walkthrough don't talk about monsters, RT tokens, or air spots.  Keep that in
mind.

Comment : This level is quite easy when you know exactly what to do.  There is
an abondance of RT Tokens here.  If you pick all of them, that makes a
minimum of 2 life-ups.


Swim until you get inside the ship.  You arrive in a room with a pipe that
shoot steam; get the 6 Cogs in that room.  Move to next room.  Jump in
water and find hole, get 4 Cogs.

Return to surface and take elevator.  Go up stairs and enter first door.  
Take 2 Cogs in chest and go back to stairs.  Go all the way up and enter
door.  There is 2 doors in front of you.  They are 2 small rooms.  Pick
the 4 Cogs in the 2 small rooms and go to the elevator.

Jump over the trap and move forward.  Take the 4 Cogs in the room.  Return
all the way to the bottom of the stairs, and you'll find a 20-Cogs door.
Enter it.

In next room, go forward in locked door.  You arrive in a room with water
and a crate sticking out of water.  Jump on the crate and go on the other
side and take elevator.

Open the door and jump over the first hole.  Move forward a bit and turn
right.  Jump on the open space and take the 4 Cogs in the 2 chests.

Jump back to where you were previously and look forward.  There is a door
in the corner of the corridor.  Jump into the door and it will open.  Take
your first Dream Key and jump back to where you were previously.

Now look around and you see a door at a lower altitude.  Take a long jump to 
this place.  Rescue your first Wink and move forward.  Return near the elevator
but go right through the door instead.

Go at the end of the room and jump in the hole.  Swim until you get to a place
with 3 open doors.  Go in the right door and get your second Dream key in the 
chest.  Go in the middle door and get 2 Cogs in the chest.

Now continue to swim for a while until you return inside the ship.  Jump out 
of the water, move forward and go upstairs.  Turn right and there should be 2 
directions : left and right.

Go right and you arrive to a place with a hole on the ground and a Dream Key in
the air.  Get your third Dream Key.  Return where you come from and go through
the door in front of you at the end of the corridor.

Take the 2 Cogs in this room.  Now return near the stairs but move forward
instead of going down.  At the end of the corridor, turn right and jump into the
whirlwind.

You teleport in a big room with water in the middle.  Jump in the water and
continue forward for a while until you see a path going below you.  Swim down and
continue advancing until you get to an intersection.

Now you have the choice to go either left or right.  Go right.  Take your last
Dream Key in the small room.  Now return to the intersection and go forward.

Continue until you can go out of water.  You are in a room with a ninja box.  Jump
in the box and transform into a Ninja.  Return to the intersection and swim down.

You'll swim to another intersection.  Go left this time.  Swim until you can jump
out of the water and take the Ninja refills.  Take the 2 Cogs in the chest and go 
through the door next to you.

You arrive to a place with a Ninja button on the floor.  Butt-bounce the button and
the door is opened.  Before going there, you need to retrace your steps.

Jump in the water and start swimming.  When you get to the intersection, continue
swimming forward.  You arrive to an already visited big room.  Open the 30-Cogs door
and rescue your second Wink.

Now jump back into the water in the middle of the room and start swimming
forward.  When you arrive to the intersection, continue swimming forward.  
Jump out of the water and move forward through the 2 doors.

Ignore the Wink emprisonned in the cage and go through the 30-cogs door that is
there.  Hit the switch in the next room and a whirlwind appears.  Jump into the 
whirlwind and you teleports in the ocean.

There are exactly 10 Cogs scattered in this area.  When you get all of them,
enter the 40-cogs trap on the floor.  Continue swimming until you can jump out
of water.  Go back through the 30-cogs door and rescue the Wink imprisonned in 
the 40-cogs cage.  Level finished.
