"Another version of the V.R. Mission...?"
This is my second written review of this game, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions... Here goes:
Yes, this is Metal Gear: VR Mission...! Inside in CD alone, contains tons and tons of mission - training missions. At first, all you got to play are boring old, original, and sneaking missions from the original Metal Gear Solid. After playing for quite some time, you will notice that you have unlocked some new modes like the Puzzle Mode where you got to use lots of your brains (yes, thinking!) and also a Mystery Mode where you get to solve different types of mysteries. There is also a mode where you get to use Grey Fox (The Ninja) for the very first time, and he is only in Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions. Sadly, you need a 85% completion of the game before you can unlock the Ninja. The game is rather easy to complete but will take some time and thinking before you can complete the game. The controls of the game are very similar to the original Metal Gear Solid. If you played MGS before this game, you are already familiar with the controls. If you have not tried the original MGS, the ''Options'' section will give you all the controls, which are easy to remember.
Sadly to say, there is no story or which in this game. All you get and have to do is train up on your sneaking skills and gun skills. Nothing much on the storyline...
Firstly, the music. Well, the music is almost the same from the original Metal Gear Solid, just a little bit of arranging on Ninja's missions. The music might get quite boring after a long time of playing as they just keep playing over and over. As for the graphics, its also almost the same as the original MGS, but in this version characters look better. The opening FMV is great, seeing all the characters that you will see in the game, basically Snake, Ninja and Naomi.
The replayability of the game itself is high due to the fact that you got to use a lot of thinking for the different modes that you can unlock. And this game could really get you addicted to it. Why? Because that there are computed high scores for you to beat. This should keep you company for a long time, and you could even challenge a friend's time!
To buy or to rent?
If you really enjoyed the original Metal Gear Solid, BUY IT! I am sure that you will also like this version of MGS! Also, you can't possibly beat the game within the rent period! It is a game which requires thinking and experimenting. Buy Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions today!!
