----The FOREWARD----

Thank you so much for at least paying some attention to this guide (FAQ) and
giving credit where credit is due. to GT INTERACTIVE for making the game(s) and
proceeding to continue this game strand with a quintology (5 games, 4 of which
are still to come..). I was saddened to hear that these great games to come
would not be on the Playstation. Why I say that 4 are still to come is this.
Before the game was released, they decided that this would not be included as
one of the official games added to the quintology, and that a totally NEW
character would play as the star of the coming titles. His name is Munch,
MUNCH'S ODDYSEE. Check out my last guide on metal gear solid. It's 13 pages in
size 10 font so it's informative all right..Thank you SSSOOOO much for looking
at this FAQ. It took me a good 4 hours or so to write and about 80-85 hours to
play the game! Oh yeah, this FAQ was NOT written before the game was released,
it was written after as to not to divert the gamer when he sees the word `FAQ'
on the page. This is a GUIDE not an info. Guide. I don't do that. But if you
would like me to, then I'll take requests. THANKS and ENJOY your experience here
at ODDWORLD..

---- Explanation of the first linking to the 2nd installment----

The first game was quite a fun one at that! Although long and hard/medium types
of difficulty, it was a challenging game. In the first story, Abe was up late
one night working as a peaceful little janitor ,waxing the floors like a good
mudoken, when all of the sudden he walks by the conference door. The Glukkons
are havin' a secret meeting! What about ? Abe's a bit confused, so he decides to
but in and crack the door open a small bit to see what all the fuss was about.
He saw a screen about his favorite food that they make, SCRAB CAKES! Then some
of the others that they make. Then he saw that they were down on the species
that they make those out of. Therefore, prices were dropping. Then, horrified,
Abe saw a screen with a mudoken skeleton on it as MEAT for the next delicious
snack food at RUPTURE FARMS!!! Abe had to take action! So, he did. Starting into
the game of ODDWORLD: ABE'S ODYSSEE...

Now, complete with his first journey he is congratulated by the leader of the
Mudokens, the shaman himself! So, of course the shaman gives Abe a pat on the
back .. That sends him crashing down the balcony! He then sees spirits that tell
him to go to Necrum because the evil Glukkons will stop at nothing, and now it's
personal, to get the TEARS of the Mudoken race for their key ingredient in the
hit soft drink, SOULSTORM BREW. The preceding statements are how Abe came to be
the star of OUR show; here at ODDWORLD..

EMOTIONS OF THE MUDOKONS

ANGRY Mudokens- They will refuse to listen to you. If you hit them, they'll hit
you back. They'll be restored to normal if you say that you're sorry.

WIRED Mudokons- They're just plain lazy and out of control. They wont work at
all. They're always strung out on laughing gas. You have to slap them to make
them normal.

DEPRESSED Mudokons- They're so upset over work and slavery and all of that, that
they don't even notice Abe. One touch can cause them to commit suicide. So, show
them some sympathy when you meet them.

SICK Mudokokns- These mudokons are drunk on Soulstorm Brew that they can barely
move. You'll need to find a helper mudokon to give you a healing ring so that
the sick mudokons can recover.

BLIND Mudokons- They can't see. They need guidance by voice. You have to tell
them to wait most of the time or else they'll fall, explode, be eaten, cut, or
shot if you don't in certain areas.

The Cast

Vice President Aslik- Glukkon in charge of FeeCo Department
General Dripik- Glukkon Commander of Slig Barracks

Scrabs- Vicious giant crabs that tear you to shreds!
Paramites- Little pack animals that are cute and cuddly, sometimes..
Shrykull- Half-Mudokon, half -legend, all trouble.
Fleeches- Starting life as a happy pet for Glukkons, they're quickly flushed
down the toilet.
Flying Sligs- Sligs that can fly.
Slurgs- The lowest form of life on Oddworld. They look like snails.
Slogs- They bark, eat mudokons, and don't like to play. But, they love Sligs.
Sloggies- Baby slogs.
Greeters- Little tin can with a mouth and a wheel, but no eyes.
Crawling Sligs- They are crawling sligs or sligs that crawl.

---- FUTURE PROJECTS AS WELL AS COMPLETE----

I have successfully cranked out a 16 page guide on Goldeneye: 007, a 7 pager on
Time Crisis: PSX version, a 13 pager on Metal Gear Solid, and working on a
Banjo-Kazooie. ( I know, I'm a bit behind here. I beat the game about a week and
a half after it came out and still haven't gotten to writin' a good old high-
quality guide for it.) I hope that in the future I'll get a chance to write a
Zelda: The Ocarina of Time FAQ when I get down to the video store and rent it or
get a chance to buy it. If I play Turok2 I may even do a guide for that as well.
I'll be writtin' a FAQ for CRASH 3 tomorrow by the looks of it. It's a pretty
tough game. It took me about 12 and a half hours, relics and all. Well, I hope
that you like my FAQs that I write. Bye!!!!!!

---- THANK YOU'S AND THE LEGAL STUFF----

Copyright 1998 by Zack Thiesen. Anyone who attempts to reproduce this FAQ
EXACTLY the way as is, is busted.. NOT. It's not REALLY copyrighted but please,
ask before you reproduce the stuff that is on this page. THANKS! I'd be happy to
let you use it. That doesn't, however, mean that you can copy it word-for-word,
it means that you can use the info on the FAQ to help you write your own on the
same game. I'd also like to thank my friend Dylan for helping me out with the
FAQ by playing the game with me and helping me out. THANKS (again.)!!!!
