                          The Beginning

At first, there was no intention whatsoever to type this faq,
but when I found only a few on gamefaqs.com and as I kept playing,
I found some info, which I though could be useful.

That's why this faq was released in such incomplete version and you
will find corrections here and there. I will beat this game for the
second, time (only if I have more spare time) in order to complete
my role.

Arc the Lad is a brain-challenging game and mini-me like it.

This could be a summary of my l^oo^ng hours playing Arc the Lad.
and this faq will keep growing as I keep on playing :)

General Gameplay.
Characters can jump over obstacles/enemies during battles, and many
good ideas to bring this cute-mature-RPG one jump ahead.
Why do you think you want to go up and down the 50-70 floors
Forbidden Ruins and still get excited to do it again?

I am (STILL) about 50% to finish this game. I have finished all the
Sacred Ruins and the 50 Floor Forbidden Ruins, haven't tried the
Monster Tournament Arena.
I am using a walkthrough by Billy Lee to guide me.
I am done with Garuano and now upgrading levels, etc.

1. USEFULL AND UNIQUE ITEMS
   ========================

   *Strengthen Fruit -1/1 2/2- Add Effect:Increase HP When Level Up
   Go to smith in Prodias.
   It is a very usefull item since you do not have the Necklace yet.

   *Death Crimson -15/15 8/8-  Start Effect: Add Silence Attack.
   You can get it when you defeated a monster at the vacant house
   in East Aldia. I got it when I took a bounty hunter job.
   (Protect house from bulglary or Robber's Revenge?).
   You can still get it after the job done. Final effects:
   Confuse, Sleep, Poison, Darkness, and Silence.
   Range: Very good. Recommended.

   *Submachine Gun -10/10 8/8- or +3 -8/8 15/15- No Effect.
   This gun can be very powerful when shoot from behing enemies.

   *Claymore -8/8 18/18-  Start Effect: No Effect
   Beat the Guardian Forest of the Lost Forest and get Claymore.
   Continue to White House. Leave White House for the Smith in
   Prodias, Now you can choose to Add Item Effect;
   1)Add Defense, 2)Add Defense Ability, 3)On Attack Recover HP.
   I chose the 3rd. It can heal max 14HP per attack (not counter
   attack). It helps your captured monster a lot. Compare to
   Scourge -10/10 27/27- which can ONLY heal 2HP per attack on
   Max Level (althought it will raise you attack by 12).
 

   *Falchion "Earth" (second made) - 14/14 26/26-
   Second time Add Effect: On Attack Recover HP
   My second Falchion is a nice replacement to Claymore since its
   attack power is 11 points higher than Claymore and it heals 13HP
   per normal attack.

   *Short Sword -13/13 25/25- Add Effect: On Attack Take Damage
   Convert your Arc 1 saved data, you will then get a Short Sword
   (in Arc 1 you get it when you beat Iga) -12/12 23/23-
   available at the Chongara's Shop.
   Go to smith in Prodias (see the pattern?)there will be 3 effects
   to choose from. The 3rd one is On Attack Take Damage n you will
   have to pay 16,000. (What's the purpose on taking damages?).
   When Arc uses it, his HP reduced by 4/normal attack and will be
   doubled on critical blow. HP reduced by 28 on Max Level.
   No need to pay 16,000, instead, go to the Vacant House on the
   Northwest, fight enemies with Short Sword, and eventually you
   will get the "On Attack Take Damage" effect with no cost.
   Also, you might encounter wanted monster Tianus inside.
   Range of Short Sword: Good

   *Meow Sword "Wind" -11/11 9/9- Start Effect: Increase Defense Ab
   DO NOT FORGET to steal from Tianus and you will get Meow Sword.
   this can add 20 defense to your status,
   (add defense by 25 on its Max Level).

   *Platinum Edge -15/15 44/44-  Add Effect: Increase Counterattack
   This sword has a big advantage, not only it has a powerful Attck
   Lvl., its Increase Counterattack is to complete the advantages.

   *Getsteel Claw -10/10 25/25-  Add Effect: Steals MP
   Buy Steel Claw from the second floor shop behind the Smith in
   Prodias. (after completing the "Exterminate the weapon's thief"
   pass through the back door) Add Item Effect: Steal MP.
   Raised Max Level it to receive Getsteel Claw.
   It can steal 11MP per normal attack.

   *Chaos Herb -10/10 12/12-    Add Effect: Heal HP each Turn
   Equip this and you will be healed 3HP each turn.

   *Sun Hat -12/12 16/16-  Start Effect: Heals HP each Turn
   Imported from Arc 1.
   You will get healed 5HP per every turn.
   Equip it together with Chaos Herb will give you 8HP each turn.

   *Necklace -12/12 4/4-  Start Effect: Increase HP on Level Up.
   Imported from Arc 1. It helps increasing HP when level up.
   Equip it together with Strengthen Fruit for a blazing result.

   *Fabulous Ring -12/12 7/7-  Start Effect: Increase Magic Ability
   Imported item from Arc 1. It raises your magic ability
   (by 10 points) and is a better substitution for the Ancient Ring

   *Fabulous Sword "Light" -15/15 35/35  -  Start Effect:
   Imported from Arc 1. A very good sword with 5 different effects
   at the end (and has a nice attack level when finish upgraded).
   Other benefit: Kills instantly without the HP1 condition.

   *Silk Belt -12/12 9/9- Start Effect:Increase Exp Points Received
   Imported from Arc 1.
   Definetely a must have items.

   *King's Image-0/0 5/5- Start Effect:Increase Exp Points Received
   Imported from Arc 1.
   Definetely a must have items.
   Equip both of Silk Belt and King's Image and you will get
   more than a double rewarding experience.

   *Tragedy Glasses -12/12 9/9- Start Effect: Set Up Weaknesses
   This is the only item that can do a secret trick (so far).
   See Treasure Chest No. 1.

   *Romancing Stones 1,2,3,4
   Imported from Arc 1.
   This could be a heaven on Earth. (always use 0 MP on magic)
   Combine it to get a rebirth Romancing Stone in Arc 2.

2. SMITH (one of the most important fact of the game!)
   ===================================================

   2.1. Smith in Prodias
   ---------------------

   Upgrade is the magic word, ehm, the smith word.
   There are 4 (four) options.
   1. Judge Item (All)
      Yes. He will tell you how good or bad is your item.

   2. Raise Item Level
      Upgrading item's effect and attack level to its max.

   3. Add Item Effect
      (Use Raise Item Level frequently to open this option)
      Add (special) effect to your weapon.
      Example:
      (Claymore - On attack, heal HP),
      (Short Sword - On attack, receive damage)
      This option is not for all weapons/items.

   4. Raise Max Level
      (Use Raise Item Level frequently to open this option)
      It raises your weapon/armor's item effect and attack level
      surpassing its normal max level.
      Example: Platinum Edge Max Lvl will be -15/15 44/44-
      Blade become Bitch Blade -13/13 30/30-, etc
      Some weapons cannot use Raise Max level option.
      Example: Fabulous Sword, Death Crimson, Metal Defender,
      Phalanx, etc.

      Note that when you open this option, it doesn't mean the same
      option is automatically available at the smith in Brakia.
      You just have to trigger it one more time. Moreover, the 4th
      and 5th option in Brakia are not the same.


   2.2. Smith in Brakia (after getting the Silver Noah)
   ----------------------------------------------------

   Here you will get 5 options
   1. Judge Item

   2. Raise Item Level

   3. Add Item Effect

   4. Raise Offense/Defense (All)
      (Keep doing Raise Item Level, and this option will be available)
      What's the big deal?
      This is an upgrade version of the Max Level in Prodias.
      It can upgrade your items, accessory, weapon, and armor
      Including the ones you could not Raise Max Level in Prodias.
      Example: Fabulous Sword is now -15/15 35/35- (before is
      only -15/15 24/24-), Anti Hemoji+9, Strengthen Fruit+2,
      Ancient Ring+3, Silk Belts -12/12 23/23- (nice), Chaos
      Herb+4 (add effect: Heal HP each turn)-10/10 12/12-,
      Tragedy Glasses -12/12 14/14-, Paralysis Apple+3, Sun Hat
      -12/12 16/16-, King's Image+2, Dark Sickle+5 -10/10 38/38-,
      etc.

   5. Personalize
      To open it, just do Raise Off/Def frequently.
      What's next?
      It is a personal's or a character's weapons & accessories
      upgrade.
      It gives you an opportunity to choose one weapon/accessory
      and then choose who will become THE NEW OWNER.
      By doing this,
      your weapon/accessory once again is upgradable one more level
      The other thing around is the weapon will be exclusively for
      THE CHOOSEN CHARACTER, that means the other characters
      will not be able to use it AT ALL.
      Example: Fabulous Sword attack level from -35/35- now is
      -38/38- after Personalized by Arc, Metal Defender stats is -
      -15/15 24/24- and now is -15/15 27/27- after Personalized by
      Arc. Dark Sickle+5 -10/10 38/38- becomes -10/10 40/40- after
      Personalized by Lich. Snake Whip -15/15 35/35- becomes
      -15/15 38/38- after Personalized by Lieza. Remember Diekbeck?

   2.3. Smith Miscellaneous
   ------------------------

   *WARNING!!!
   -----------
   You will get, I repeat, YOU WILL GET RANDOM RESULTS!
   Example:
   *Random results on Add Item Effect
    When I went to Prodias and add effect to my Falchion sword,
    I got: Increase Magic Defense. After I made my second Falchion,
    I receive: On Attack, heal HP.
    What if I got the 3rd Falchion (where to find Long Sword?)

   *Random results on Max Level
    Chain Guard can be maxed out to -10/10 12/12-
    However on the second time, It stop at -9/9 12/12-.

   *Random results on Raise Off/Def
    I raise my Fabulous Sword and I got -33/33- for attack.
    I try again and the stats became -27/27-.
    Ok, this time I got -35/35- which is nice :)

   *Short Pole for the first time is raised to -10/10 8/8-
    The second time is -10/10 17/17- (big difference!).

   *Suggestions
   ------------
   What you should do
   *Add Item Effect*
    Get/buy the effect when weapon level is low to save some money.
    When level is higher, the cost is higher.

    *Personalize*
    It is easier for you to choose this option when you have
    more then one of the same items.

   What you should not do
   *Raise Max Level*
    DO NOT "RAISE ITEM LEVEL" YOUR FAVOURITE WEAPONS TO ITS MAX
    before "RAISE MAX  LEVEL" show up. Why? Because, you can not
    use this option when your weapons/items already at max lvl.

   *Trick
   ------
   -In Prodias, when using Raise Max Level, your weapons can be
   upgraded more than one level. Now just before you achieve the
   highest level (one more level to go), go to Brakia,
   choose Raise Off/Def. It can upgrade your weapons a few more
   attack levels. (Try a few times to check your best result)

   -The second option is to buy a lot quantity of the same item,
   say at least 20 pieces of the same item. In Prodias, Raise Max
   Level all of them. Now, go to Brakia, choose Raise Off/Def.
   The good news is, a few of the items will be available to be
   upgraded surpassing its Max Level, but only a few! (4/5 pcs)
   The bad news is, you have already l^oo^se a large amount of
   money by doing this option. But you will get a better result!
   Example: Snake Whip -14/14 21/21- becomes -15/15 35/35- Nice.

   *Important Notes
   ----------------
   -Some weapons are developing their effect during level up.
   Example: Fabulous Sword and Death Crimson both can have 5
   differents effects at Max level; Confuse, Sleep, Poison,
   Darkness, and Silence.

   -Save before you choose to Max Level or Raise Max Level
   as you will get random results.

   -A good idea is to increase the quantity of the items/weapons
   you bought/found.
   This way, you wil have a bigger chance to check what is the
   highest level for each item/weapon. Just save your file before
   you do this. After knowing what level is you are aiming at,
   load the data and go for it.
   Example: Save data, buy 10 pcs of Platinum Edge, check its
   highest levels, load data, raise level until you get the
   best result. Repeat on another item/weapon.

   -What you will always loose is a large amount of money.


   *The difference between Raise Max Level n Raise Off/Def: 

   --------------------------------------------------------
   --Raise Max Level
   It is concentrating on increasing the Effect Level
   (weapons)and the Attack Level (weapons)
   -usually at the same time,
   Example: Getsteel Claw will be maxed at 10/10  25/25
   Effect : Steal 11MP per attack.
   Benefit: Big steal of MP from enemies.
   Example: Sun Hat (accessory) cannot be maxed level.
   It does not add a + (plus) sign.

   --Raise Off/Def
   Has a priority on upgrading Attack Level (weapons)
   or Defense Level (Items, Accesories, Armors)one at
   a time.
   Example: Getsteel Claw will be maxed at 9/9  (Off)30/30
   Effect : Steal 4MP per attack.
   Benefit: Increase attack level.
   Example: Sun Hat will be maxed at 12/12  (Def)16/16
   Benefit: Not all items will degrade its effect when using the
            Raise Off/Def option. Sun Hat heals 5HP every turn
            while its defend ability increased almost a double.

   It adds a + (plus) sign when you raise some items/weapons.
   What is it?
   +0 means plus one level increase of Offense or Defense.
   +1 means plus two levls increase of Offense or Defense.
   +2 means plus three level increase of Offense or Defense.
   (Plus one level usually adds 2/3 pts to the Offense/Defense).

   Note:
   Not all items will get a + sign.
   Ex: Snake Whip -15/15 35/35- does not get a + sign.

   If you want to do all the Smith-things or upgrade most of
   your weapons, you had better cash your cheque for AT LEAST
   10,000,000 at the nearest bank (Max Money is ONLY for 999,999 G)
   And it is only for about 50% of the story depth.
   Who says life is cheap?
   (Spoiler: GS code on Infinite Money to end your suffer).


   2.4.Smith Summary
   -----------------
   Things can get pretty rough and complicated so I try to describe
   what is necessay to do, in a very brief manner.

   1. Read from the Judge Item option if you want.
   2. Raise Item Level, but DO NOT MAX IT.
      Use this option for several times to open Add Item Effect.
   3. Choose your favourite effect.
   4. When you use Raise Item Level frequently, the Raise Max Level
      will be open. Remember you will get random result. So try to
      save and stock many of the same items to get the best result.
   5. Now you can go to Brakia (after getting the Silver Noah) and
      open Raise Off/Def. This can be used to upgrade all of your
      weapons/items/accessories' offense or defense level.
   6. Personalize will be available in Brakia.
      Choose THE "new" owner and the attack level will be upgraded.

   (Yes, it sounds very simple)

   Now, try to upgrade all the weapons/items ~@@~

   2.5 Smith things
   ----------------

   Here is a list of some of my upgraded items.
   Remember, this is not a perfect list since we always get a
   random result. It's just an example of what you will get when
   using the options at the smiths; Raise Max Level, Raise Off/Def.
   (And I really don't have time to test all the
   possibility from all of the items in this game ;')

   And believe me, you may always get a better results ~^^~

   When looking into the list, you can decide which particular
   weapon, for example, is a high priority.

3. CHOKO
   =====

   3.1. When will she be able to join?
   -----------------------------------

   This is what I have experienced.

   Before going to the Vacant House in Clenia with Gruga,
   visit Choko in the Time Forest. She will then escort you leaving
   the forest. If she does not join you, pay a visit one more time.
   After the second escort, Choko WILL JOIN YOU.
   Maybe you can get her as soon as your arrival in Clenia.

   (Don't forget to complete her side quest)

4. COMBINATIONS OF EQUIPMENTS/ACCESSORIES/ITEMS
   ============================================

   4.1. Leveling Up Plus Increase HP
   ---------------------------------
   Equip Necklace from Arc 1 together with Strengthen Fruit
   (Add Item Effect: Increase HP On Level Up).
   Example:
   Gruga Level 47 up to level 48, HP increase by 7
   Without the Strengthen Fruit,  HP increase by 6
   Without both of them,          HP increase by 3

   Tosh Level 61 up to level 62,  HP increase by 6
   Without the Strengthen Fruit,  HP increase by 5
   Without both of them,          HP increase by 2

   In Arc 1, I used to equip Necklace and ...
   In Arc 2, what is the best combination to boost up HP/MP?
   In Arc 3 ?

   4.2. Healing Every Turn
   -----------------------
   Equip both Chaos Herb (Heal HP each Turn)and Sun Hat (Heal HP)
   and you will be healed 3HP + 5HP every turn.
   Everytime you go downstairs of upstairs, go in or go out, every
   normal turn or transfer turn, you will be healed 8HP.

   4.3. Double Up Your Experience
   ------------------------------
   Equip both Silk Belt and King's Image and you will get more than
   a double experience rewarding when leveling up.

   4.4. Boosting up HP and Attack Level
   ------------------------------------
   Equip Instant Sword, Necklace, Strengthen Fruit (Razor Knight,
   Kobold, Arc, Tosh, Elc). And when level up, not only your HP is
   boosting, you will get more on your Attack Level.

5. COLLECTING MONEY AND EXP.
   =========================
   5.1. In Alatos
   --------------
   I do this after completing Chimera's Lab, before going to
   Brakia/Holn. (Actually you can choose where to go first).
   Forbidden Ruins
   * Floor 50
     Enemy: Lich (level 49)
     Hint:
     -Sell all your not-very-usefull items/weapons to make
     some empty spaces on the items box (20 or more).
     -You will be more eficient by using only 3 or 2 characters.
     If you want to steal and leveling up, bring along 3 characters
     Ex: Choko+Shu+character.
     If you only want to level up just bring along 2 characters.
     Ex: Choko+character.
     That way, you will save a lot of time because you do not have
     to wait for your turn to come and you will get a better
     starting position.
     -When you are done and want to bring along 5 characters,
     go upstairs to floor 50 and then downstairs to floor 49 to
     pick your new characters.

     Methode 1:
     1. Hit Lich using the strongest charc. (I use Choko).
     2. Steal Chain Guard by Shu (Steal level 3).
        Romancing Stone will help. (If you didn't success the first
        time, repeat and wait for Shu's second turn)
     3. Lich is unconcious (HP1), hit Lich using a character
        you want to increase level. Equip Silk Belt n King's
        Image to get +/- 24,000 exp (+/- 11,000 exp without
        Silk Belt and King's Image). Occasionally, Lich will drop
        Dark Sickle (worth 8,000 G).
     4. Repeat (Go downstairs and up again).
        Collecting those Chain Guards and keep leveling up
        (level up the captured monsters) here is an easy task
        However when you achieve level 49 (Lich is also level 49),
        you will get only +/- 2,000 exp (+/- 5,000 exp by equiping
        Silk Belt and King's Image).
     5. When your bag is full, you are ready to roll.
     6. Go down to Floor 40, reenergize.
        From here you can get out and sell those Chain Guards
        for 3,000 G (and Dark Sickle for 8,000 G) each
        then go back to Floor 50. Or else..
----------------------------------------------------------------
     7. Go to Floor 39,
        Enemy: 3 Arc Gargoyle n 2 Death Mage.
        Hint: Higher lvl. means quicker.
        Destroy all five monster using magic.
        I found Choko is the most efective (use kira-kira).
        Still equiping Silk Belt n King's Image, you will get
        22,000 exp per one blow, depends on your magic level.
        When Choko's movement is at level 7, all will be easier.
     8. When you need to reenergize, just go to Floor 40.
     9. Repeat. It is very easy to raise up Choko.
    10. When you feel enought, go to the exit statue on level 40,
        go to Gazalla, sell those Chain Guards (and Dark Sickles).
    11. Go to Floor 50 again. And to Floor 39 again. Repeat.

     Methode 2:
     * When your characters achieve level 49, use Dieckbeck to gain
     experience. Then go to Dr. Vilmer in Yudo Village - Yagos isle
     and use the device infront of him to transfer Dieckbeck exp.
     to any selectable characters.
     Dieckbeck is always at level 1, that's why he will always get
     +/- 11,000 exp when he defeated Lich (Other characters will
     only get +/- 2,000 exp. above level 49 and +/- 5,000 exp when
     equiping both Silk Belt and King's Image).

     Do not forget to equip Silk Belt and King's Image on your main
     characters when transfering experience from Diekbeck in order
     to receive greater benefit.

Note:
-When Choko achieve level 120, go to the Mother's Claire House
to get Death magic (Add Ability). Death magic cannot kill
instantly monsters with the ability of HP1.

-Choko needs less <3 minutes to increase level when above lvl 100.

-Btw, Messoreppa cannot kills instantly the enemies with HP1
ability. Also, when using Messoreppa, you will get the cheapest
rewarding exp. Only get 432 exp from one Arc Gargoyle by equiping
Silk Belt n King's Image, while usually you will get above 4700 exp
by using a normal attack/magic attack. (Iga lvl. 64)

6. CAPTURED MONSTER
   ================

   6.1. Capturing Monsters
   -----------------------

   Due to uncertain conditions, the details below is just a summary
   of what I have been implementing in capturing monsters.
   There is no guarantee whatsoever to the contents.

   I am going to update this topic.

   You really should highly consider some important elements
   in order to successfully capture, such as:
   1. Increase her whip skill level on the status screen.
      Always use whip as weapon to achieve level 15.
   2. Use Magic Boost Up Items
      Any item that can increase your magic status would be fine. 

   3. Leveling Up Lieza
      This will also increase her magic ability (Ravish level 3),
      among other stats.
   4. Choose the right equipment/accessories
      Equip: Snake Whip -15/15 35/35- (Personalized it)
             Fabulous Ring (Personalized?)
             MagicIllusion Robe/Elven Chain (Personalized?)
   5. Choose the right partners
      -Bring Diekbeck/Hemoji since they got "Change Enemy" skill.
      -Bring a character w/ high magic stat and Might Mind skill.
      -Bring Choko to eliminate obstacles/powerful enemies.
      -Bring
   6. Use helpfull magic skills
      Use Speed Up, Slow Enemy, Weakens Enemy, Confusion,
      Hold Enemy, Petro Wind, Dream Knock,etc
   7. Use secrets if available
      Use the Tragedy Glasses trick. (see Treasure Chest No.1).

Hint???
THIS HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED!!!
Do you have difficulties in capturing monster?
Use Diekbeck and/or Hemoji. They have the "Change Enemy" skill
to change higher class monsters into a lower class monsters
while the inner ability of the monster is remain 100% original,
only the status (A,D,MG,AG,T,C,R,C,J) will be altered based on
their (new) class level. Sometimes you need to use it a few times
before the monster's class altered.
This may become your advantage.
I hope, when you lower the monster's class, you will be able to
(ease the paint in the a**) catch them more easily.

   6.2. Mother's Claire's Cave
   ---------------------------

Hint:
There is a slightly more easy way to get pass the cave.
Whenever your team is in great danger just go out the cave,
go to the nearest Inn, take a rest. Now, with full energy,
finish the job.
All the sticks you had turned on, is still on.
You just have to smack down the bad guys, again.

class, you should check between your actual level and the
Requirement Level of Class Change.
Example: Arch Gargoyle is captured at level 48
         class change into Spelunker -level 40 (lower class),
         Now, you cannot go back to Arch Gargoyle
         before it reaches level 50. Because level 50 is the
         Requirement Level for Class Change into Arch Gargoyle.

*Do not forget that when you are leveling up, the status at the
Mother's Claire House is also increasing.

   6.4. Inner Ability
   ------------------

   Which captured monsters have good skills?

   Both topics (Inner Ability and Add Ability) are to clarify which
   monster has which skills.
   This will help you to decide whether to capture it or not,
   and to decide whether you are going to level it up or not.
   Also to help you viewing the Add Ability List faster rather than
   always go to the Mother's Claire House.

   *I do not have time to capture all the monsters in this game.

   Tip:
   I recommend you to always save and check the Add Ability skills.
   If it is to your satisfaction, level it up, if not, sell it
   or load the previous saved data.

   Note:
   *Starting from this version, I am using the GS code "Dieckbeck's
   Max Exp" for this faq reason, and I found it very usefull to dig
   infos about Inner Abilities and Class Change.

   *I used Instant Sword to increase Attack level on level up.
   (Instant used only for certain monster -Razor Knight, Kobold-).

   *However, while the HP is boosting up, the MP is crawling; raise
   1 MP per level since you shared Dieckbeck's exp.
   When using normal method (no Dieckbeck's exp. shared) by using
   combinations of Necklace and Strengthen Fruit, it can boost up
   your MP by 3 points per level. But, you need to gain exp. in a
   slow-mo way. It is up to you to decide.

   6.7. Recommended
   ----------------

   This is the list of some captured monsters which has
   better/usefull abilities compare to the others.

   The star (*) sign is to represent how good is the captured
   monster. I have to finish this game in order to catch all the
   star signs, but before that, it is sufficient to judge from
   their actual abilities.

   1.Hobgoblin (*****)
     Reasons:
     * He has the "Charge" inner ability among others.
     * He has the "Invincibility" add ability.
     * He has a good attack and defense status, even better than
       some of the main characters. Good Range, Speed and Agility.
     * He has 3 in 1 battle ability (to use 3 differents skills);
       Punch, Sword, Ax.
     * He has 2+1 level status on the counter skill.
     * I am sure he has more good reasons to come.

   2.Death Devil (***1/2)
     * He has the "Invincible" inner ability.
     * He has the "Resurrection" add ability.
     * He has plenty good magic skills; Death, Divide, Petro Wind,

   3.Razor Knight (***)
     * He has the "Charge" inner ability.
     * He has the 5+1 movement range.
     * He has other usefull skills; Cure, Expand Range, Hold Enemy,
       Divide, Magic Shield.

   4.Poison Cloud (***)
     * He has the "Wide Attack, Trans Enemy & Petro Wind" inner
       ability.
     * He has the "Cure, Hold Enemy" add ability.

   Note:
   *Starting from this version, I am using the GS code "Dieckbeck's
   Max Exp" for this faq reason, and I found it very usefull to dig
   infos about Inner Abilities and Class Change.

   *I used combinations of Instant+Necklace+Strengthen Fruit to
   increase Attack level and HP amount on level up. (Instant used
   only for certain characters -Arc, Tosh, Elc-).

   *However, while the HP is boosting up, the MP is crawling;
   raise  only 1 MP per level since you shared Dieckbeck's exp.
   When using normal method (no Dieckbeck's exp. shared) by using
   combinations of Necklace and Strengthen Fruit, it can boost up
   your MP by 3 points per level. But, you need to gain exp. in a
   slow-mo way.
   The comparison for the main characters is as follow:
   -When I did not use any combinations:

   without notice, right after I executed one action by Lieza
   (magic skill?).

   It seems the Shotgun have also dissapeared from my item box!
   Confused. I then reset my console.

   9.3. SUBMACHINE GUN
   When I Raise Off/Def it to Submachine Gun+3 -8/8 15/15-
   (I bought many of it in order to get a better result),
   Shu suddenly refused to equip it. There is no sign of
   Submachine+3 on the Equip Screen???
   although you still can view it on the item box.
   Confused, I sell all the other Submachine Gun which did not get
   a good/high level. That was when I notice my Submachine Gun+3
   has change its name into Submachine Gun (the status is still -
   8/8 15/15-) and the good news is Shu can Equip it now.
   Pfff...


                           Treasure Chest

Chest No. 1: Tragedy Glasses trick

Do you know that all main characters including Choko
(except Diekbeck and captured monster) can get additional
elemental effects at the same time by equiping a accessory?
Effects: Earth Proof, Water Proof, Fire Proof, Wind Proof,
Light Proof, and Dark Proof.

How?
On the Equip screen, Just equip the Tragedy Glasses and replace it
with other accessory (you need only to press X button).
DO NOT press circle while replacing it.
After, go to upper status screen. You got it.
Do the same thing to the other characters.
Note:

*you can do this trick anywhere, anytime!

*The effects will stay:

-When you go out a town to the continent map, go out to the world
map, go to other continent, go inside a town, even after you saved,
inside the Forbidden Ruins -while you're still on the same floor,
when exploring the whole continent and catch battle after battle,


*The effects will go:
-When you go upstairs or downstairs inside the Forbidden Ruins,
(You just have to redo the trick)
-When you enter a Sealed Ruins,
(You just have to redo the trick)

Chest No. 2: Slasher
   Found at: Elc's apartment -on the bed-
   I am not 100% remember how to get this item.
   (I did not jot it down right away, sorry..)
   I got it before the battle with Slasher at Shu's apartment.
   The possibilities are;
   1) When you were suppose to go to the Ceremony Pavillion,
      you go to Prodias instead and take a rest at the Elc's
      Apartment, but when you press that x button,
      what you get is a Slasher.
   2) When you are in Yagos Isle (Yudo Village),leave for Prodias
      right away and take a rest at Elc's Apartment, press x and
      you get it.

   Note: Since you can get Defender at Level 1 in the Sealed Ruin
   in Yagos,you may combine it to get Dual Knife-Add Silence Attack
