"A fun, entertaining game, which will keep you playing!"
Spyro 3 is a fun, entertaining game, which will keep you coming back for more. Here is my review:
It is not that difficult to pick up this game and play it right away. It may take a little while to get the control of each new character, but it is not a problem. The controls are simple and easy to understand
I don't have much to complain about in this area. There are five different playable characters in Spyro 3. Here they are:
Sheila the Kangaroo: A high-jumping kangaroo with a kick that will hurt your opponents.
Sergeant Byrd the Penguin: A flying penguin with rocket launchers on his shoulders. Cool!
Bentley the Yeti: A large club-wielding yeti that will smash opponents to bits.
Agent 9 the monkey: A monkey with a laser gun to shoot the opponents. You can aim anywhere you want, and it is addicting to play with him.
And, of course, there is Spyro. This flame breathing dragon enjoys scorching the opponents to bits. Or you can charge right through them. Spyro has the ability to glide, swim, and hover at the end of a glide.
Oh, and you can even play as Spyro’s dragonfly sidekick, Sparx.
The point of the game is to collect eggs of baby dragons (you also can collect other things along your quest, such as gems. But you do not have to collect all of the gems in order to complete your quest). The evil sorceress stole these eggs. The story isn't anything special, but it doesn't really lack anything. You have the classic evil with their sidekicks. The bosses may prove challenging, but they are not impossible. There are also several side quests along the way, which aren’t necessary to complete, but are fun to play. For example you can skateboard as Spyro.
The graphics are nothing incredibly special, but they are fluid and only a few glitches can be found. The landscapes look smooth, but nothing really stands out. They are about the same as the previous two Spyro games. Nothing great, but enough for it to pass
The voices of the creatures that you encounter in each area are unique, and have their own personality. It adds an effect to the game that just makes it more entertaining.
It may be fun to go through Spyro 3 again, but chances are you will not finish this game twice. It loses the fun and challenge.
Spyro 3 is a fun game that is worth your money. You should enjoy this game, the characters, and the numerous, challenging side quests.
