This is a list of all the items and their uses.
Since in the other faqs you can already find out how to acquire the
items, I am only going to discuss their usage here.

Unlike many lists out there with missing information on some
items, this list contains usage for all the items.



Potion
 - single character recover 200 HP

High Potion
 - single character recover 1000 HP
 - 99 to teach a summon care

X Potion
 - single character recover full HP
 - 1 to add HP + 5% to an armor
 - 30 to teach a summon carera

Mega Potion
 - all character recover 2000 HP
 - 50 to teach a summon carega

Edel
 - single character recover 500 MP
 - 1 to add MP + 5% to an armor

Edel Turbo
 - single character recover 1000 MP
 - 30 to add magic booster to a weapon

Elixir
 - single character recover full HP MP
 - 5 to add HP + 20% to an armor
 - 5 to add MP + 20% to an armor
 - 8 to teach a summon raise

Last Elixir
 - all character recover full HP MP
 - 20 to add AP double to a weapon
 - 1 to teach a summon araise

Phoenix Tail
 - single character recover from KO

Mega Phoenix
 - all character recover from KO
 - 20 to add auto phoenix to an armor

Poison Cure
 - single character recover from poison
 - 99 to add poison attack to a weapon
 - 40 to add poison defense to an armor

Gold Needle
 - single character recover from stone
 - 30 to add stone defense to an armor

Eye Medicine
 - single character recover from blind
 - 60 to add blind/darkness attack to a weapon
 - 40 to add blind/darkness defense to an armor

Yamabiko Grass
 - single character recover from silent
 - 60 to add silent attack to a weapon
 - 30 to add silent defense to an armor

Holy Water
 - single character recover from zombie and curse
 - 70 to add zombie attack to a weapon
 - 30 to add zombie defense to an armor
 - 99 to teach a summon zombie attack

All Purpose Medicine
 - single character recover from all negative status
 - 20 to add auto status recovery to an armor

Power Memory
 - single enemy drop Power Sphere after battle

Magic Memory
 - single enemy drop Magic Sphere after battle

Speed Memory
 - single enemy drop Speed Sphere after battle

Ability Memory
 - single enemy drop Ability Sphere after battle

Al Bhed Recovery Medicine
 - all character recover from poison, stone and silent plus 1000 HP

Healing Water
 - all character recover full HP during battle
 - 4 to add knowledge of medicine to a weapon
 - 5 to teach a summon prayer

Tetra Elemental
 - single character recover full HP plus 4 elemental guard during
battle
 - 12 to add complete curse defense to an armor

Bom Piece
 - single enemy minor flame damage
 - 4 to add flame attack to a weapon
 - 4 to add flame defense by half to an armor
 - 1 to teach a summon fire
 - 2 to teach a summon ba-fire

Bom Spirit
 - single enemy major flame damage
 - 1 to add ba-fire when pinch to an armor
 - 8 to add flame defense completely to an armor
 - 2 to teach a summon fira

Flame Magic Stone
 - all enemy major flame damage
 - 20 to add flame absorb to an armor
 - 4 to teach a summon firaga

Electric Ball
 - single enemy minor thunder damage
 - 4 to add thunder attack to a weapon
 - 4 to add thunder defense by half to an armor
 - 1 to teach a summon thunder
 - 2 to teach a summon ba-thunder

Falling Thunder Ball
 - single enemy major thunder damage
 - 1 to add ba-thunder when pinch to an armor

Southern Wind
 - single enemy minor ice damage
 - 4 to add ice attack to a weapon

Northern Wind
 - single enemy moderate ice damage
 - 1 to add ba-cold when pinch to an armor
 - 8 to add cold defense completely to an armor

Ice Magic Stone
 - all enemy major ice damage
 - 20 to add ice absorb to an armor
 - 4 to teach a summon blizzaga

Black Magic Stone
 - all enemy HP reduced by 1/2
 - 8 to teach a summon gravity

Light Magic Stone
 - single enemy flare attack
 - 16 to add magic counter to a weapon
 - 60 to teach a summon flare

Holy Magic Stone
 - single enemy holy attack
 - 4 to add physical defense + 20% to an armor
 - 4 to add magic defense + 20% to an armor
 - 60 to teach a summon holy

Highest Magic Stone
 - single enemy ultima attack
 - 4 to add physical attack + 20% to a weapon
 - 4 to add magic attack + 20% to a weapon
 - 99 to teach a summon ultima

Grenade
 - all enemy damage

Armor Grenade
 - all enemy damage plus armor break effect

Stone Grenade
 - all enemy stone effect
 - 10 to add stone attack to a weapon
 - 60 to add stone attack change to a weapon
 - 20 to add complete stone defense to an armor

Poison Tooth
 - single enemy damage plus poison effect
 - 24 to add poison attack change to a weapon
 - 12 to add complete poison defense to an armor
 - 8 to teach a summon bio

Smoke Bomb
 - all enemy damage plus blind effect
 - 20 to add blind/darkness attack change to a weapon
 - 10 to add complete blind/darkness defense to an armor
 - 6 to teach a summon blind attack
 - 12 to teach a summon blind buster

Silent Mine
 - all enemy damage plus silent effect
 - 20 to add silent attack change to a weapon

Sleep Powder
 - all enemy minor damage plus sleep effect

 - all enemy major damage plus sleep effect

Body Srength Spring

 - single enemy damage plus magic effect cancelled
 - 30 to add no encounter to an armor

 - singe character max HP x 2 during battle

Magic Strength Medicine
 - single character max MP x 2 during battle

Body Strength Secret Medicine
 - all character max HP x 2 during battle
 - 1 to add HP + 30% to an armor

Magic Strength Secret Medicine
 - all character max MP x 2 during battle

Twin Stars
 - single character MP usage 0
 - 20 to add MP usage 1/2 to a weapon
