"Too good to be true!"

Graphics 10/10: The detail of this game is simply amazing. All the characters are very sharp and can be seen well in any angle. The snow that flys off your board while you snowboard downhill is extremly realistic. Not to mention while you race imprints of other racers snowboards can be seen all the way downhill. Each coure is detailed to its best.

Gameplay 10/10: The gameplay is also the best. Allowing three different types of modes ranging from racing to showoff to free riding. Racing allows you to choose from three different difficulty settings in case one becomes too easy. Also many shortcuts can be found to give you that extra boost. Showoff lets you see the top scores you can get on each course. It lets you jump into colored snowflakes to test your skills, and if you succeed in hitting one your trick point changes to 2 times, 3 times, or even an amazing 5 times. Free ride allows you to search out all the aspects of each level to find all the shortcuts.

Story NA/NA: Although at the moment SSX does not contain any story, when SSX:DVD comes out there should be rivalries between all the characters.

Difficulty 10/10: This games difficulty is great because each level becomes more difficult. Also the races go in three different difficulties. Not to mention you can earn different medals depending on how well you do. Many feel you have to master the game to recieve gold medals on the last few levels.

Sound 10/10: The sound ties in so well with SSX that it can not get lower then a 10. Between the fast techno beats of each level to the remarks of each racer after falling it just is the best.

Replay Value 10/10: I bought this game when it came out(October 26, 2000) and still continue to enjoy it today(March 2001). Every time you play a new high score can be achived. This game is just too fun to put down. I feel this may be the best game out right now.

Rent or Buy: I would say rent it first for few reasons. First off it is March 2001 right now and SSX:DVD will be out soon. Also although 9/10 people who play SSX love it, there are a few who do not like it. This would be a must buy if SSX:DVD were not coming out soon.

Overall 10/10: Woo! This game is the best...
