    (1) Introduction
    ________________

I want feedback! E-mail me with any questions or comments you have about this
walkthrough or if you're stuck in the game, however little it is.

If you find anything wrong, even if it's just a typo, e-mail me at
m_edmonds@btopenworld.com with "Stuntman Walkthrough" in the subject field. If
I've missed something out that you notice, e-mail me. You will be credited for
    anything, no matter how small.

Having completed Stuntman, I had enjoyed it so much, I decided to write a
    walkthrough for it.
This is my first walkthrough, so please bear with me if I do anything crazily
    wrong!

Stuntman is a game where you make your way up the career ladder as a stuntman
in the movie business, starting as a rookie and ending as a stunt co-ordinator.
As you would guess, the stunts get harder and harder as you progress. If you
complete a stunt to the required grade, you will move on to the next one. If
you complete it even better, you will be rewarded with vehicles and toys to
play around with in the stunt constructor. There are also some fun driving
    games added into the cocktail.

Well, what are you waiting for? Get driving!

"So, you're the new guy, eh? Fancy yourself as a big hot-shot Hollywood
stuntman do you? Well just remember that I'm the one putting your
inexperienced-foot on the first rung of the ladder here, pal. I'm gonna give
you your chance to rise from a rookie driver to the hero of the silver screen -
so listen up - and more importantly, don't let me down.

But before we get started, the main question is - have you got what it takes?
In the high-octane world of professional stunt driving, fear is failure and
time is money... my money. The higher you climb the ladder of success, the
higher the stakes become. One momentary lapse of concentration - one tiny slip
    - and the shot's ruined, the car's a wreck and my movie goes weeks behind
schedule - which can't happen! If it does, then you can consider your dreams
of becoming a big-time Hollywood legend well and truly over my friend - you'll
be back parking cars before you know it.

So if you think you've got the skilld, the time has come for you to prove
yourself worthy of being called a stuntman - it's time to show me what you're
made of. It's time to impress."

    LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!

    ____________

    (2) Controls
    ____________

    D-pad/Left analogue stick - steering.

X/Right analogue stick up - accelerate.

[]/Right analogue stick down - brake, hold down after stopping to reverse.

    /\/O - handbrake.

    R1 - horn.

L1 - action e.g. jumping out of the car, cannon roll etc.

    R2 - look right.

    L2 - look left.

    R2 and L2 together - look behind.

    Select - switch camera mode.

    Start - pause.

Note: Acceleration, braking and reversing are pressure sensitive - the harder
you press the relevant button, the harder you accelerate/brake/reverse.

    _______________

    (3) Stunt Icons
    _______________

The stunt icons are images placed near objects to help you to know exactly how,
where and when to do each stunt. You will get used to them very soon.

R'¦¦ - reverse the vehicle in the direction shown. It is easiest to reverse
when you are looking backwards so you can see
     ¦¦ where you're going (duh!).
     \/

~~_ - do an 180 degree handbrake turn in the box. It counts as long as it's
between 160 and 200 degrees from when you came
/ in, so you can still get it if you mess up the turn.
     _
/ \ - come to a complete stop within the box. This is usually at the end of
a scene or followed by a reverse. The best
¦!¦	to do this is to use both the normal brake and the handbrake at the same
time, as this will bring you to a stop much
    \_/	quicker.

_/. - press the action button (L1) while within the box.
    __¦

¦/\¦ - go through a narrow gap without touching either side of it.
    ¦¦¦¦

/\* - get within the circle as or just after an explosion happens. There
will be a number above it indicating how long
¦¦O	there is before the explosion happens.

//\\ - this shows where there is a jump to go over.
    / ¦¦ \

/\¦ - get close to an object. If there is a small circle with it, make sure
you get in the circle without touching the
    ¦¦¦	object.

\ / - hit an object or pass through a mass of objects e.g. a café.
     *
    / \

/\ ¦ - clip an object i.e. glance past it rather than hitting it hard.
    ¦¦*¦

oo /\ - overtake the vehicle. If there is a circle attached to it, make sure
you pass through it without hitting the car.
      //

¦¦ - this will hover above a vehicle you are meant to be chasing. If it
starts flashing, you are falling too far behind.
    ¦¦
    \/

    (4) Car Guide
    _____________

For each car, I will give the top speed, the time it takes to accelerate from
0-60mph, how good it is at braking (based on the distance travelled when
slamming the brakes at 60mph)(from * to *****, 5 stars being best), the top
speed when reversing, how well it handles (how easy it is to handbrake turn on
mud and tarmac, control over jumps etc. I even included how easy it is to park
between two cars using a handbrake 180 turn)(again 1-5 stars), when it is
    unlocked and any other notes.

Note: To unlock a car, you must get a very high percentage of each stunt
correct. This gets higher as you progress through the game.

Note: When airbourne, the speed is 117mph because there is no friction to stop
the wheel turning. When you land, your correct speed will be shown.

    Blue "Stuntman" Car
    Unlocked: available from the beginning
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: *****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: There's nothing bad about this car. Then again, there's nothing
exceptional either. About as average as you can get.

    Yellow Sedan
Unlocked: after "Hiccup with the Pickup", Toothless in Wapping
    Top Speed: 74mph
    0-60: 6.5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 38mph
Notes: Nothing special here, just slow and cumbersome.

    Grey Sedan
Unlocked: after "Safe Stealing", Toothless in Wapping
    Top Speed: 67mph
    0-60: 9 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 37mph
Notes: If it's possible, this is even worse than the Tuk Tuk! It is very hard
to recover if you lose control. One to avoid.

    White Van
Unlocked: after "Rozzer Bovver", Toothless in Wapping
    Top Speed: 68mph
    0-60: 8.5 seconds
    Braking: ***
    Handling: ****
    Reverse Top Speed: 37mph
Notes: Although bouncy, I found this to be a surprisingly easy to handle.
    Definitely one to try out.

    Police Car (London version)
Unlocked: after "Fink in the Drink", Toothless in Wapping
    Top Speed: 66mph
    0-60: 8.5 seconds
    Braking: ***
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 36mph
Notes: Extremely easy to flip on jumps. About as bad as the Grey Sedan. Note
the siren (R1) and the lights (L1).

    Tow Truck
Unlocked: after "Filled In", Toothless in Wapping
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 4 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: *
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: I found this very hard to handle. It is very easy to lose wheels in the
    Stunt Arena.

    Red Stunt Car, No. 72
Unlocked: after being promoted to "Professional" (see note)
    Top Speed: 91mph
    0-60: 4 seconds
    Braking: **
    Handlind: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 45mph
Notes: This car's speed makes it best to use the handbrake lightly. It is easy
to flip when turning onto or off slopes.

    Stars and Stripes Stunt Car
Unlocked: after "Crazy Lee Carter's Automotive Thrill Show", Arena Show No. 1
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 4.5 seconds
    Braking: **
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: A good car. Handles best on tarmac.

    Yellow Hot Rod
Unlocked: after "Outta Town Nitro", A Whoopin' and A Hollerin'
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: ****
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: A very good car. It handles very well on all surfaces.

    Orange Hot Rod
Unlocked: after "The Corkscrew", A Whoopin' and A Hollerin'
    Top Speed: 84mph
    0-60: 4 seconds
    Braking: **
    Handling: ****
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: Good handling on all surfaces. Corners especially well on tarmac.

    Heinous' Hot Rod
Unlocked: after "Tame the Train", A Whoopin' and A Hollerin'
    Top Speed: 96mph
    0-60: 3 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 47mph
Notes: Although a very fast car, it is hard to handle approaching its top speed.

    Grey Pickup
Unlocked: after being promoted to "Senior" (see note)
    Top Speed: 78mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: *****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 39mph
Notes: The main strength is its braking, but it also turns quite well.

    Cop Car (Louisiana version)
Unlocked: after "Howlin' Hardy's Car Dominoes", Arena Show No. 2
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: Definitely the better of the two police cars. Not much more to say,
    really.

    White Sedan (1)
Unlocked: after "Office Obliteration", Blood Oath
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: Handles well on all surfaces, but be cautious on jumps.

    White Sedan (2)
Unlocked: after "Downtown Dash", Blood Oath
    Top Speed: 87mph
    0-60: 4.5 seconds
    Braking: ***
    Handling: *****
    Reverse Top Speed: 43mph
Notes: An exceptionally good car, the only one to pass completely all of my
    handling tests.

    Tuk Tuk
Unlocked: after "Tuk Tuk Chase", Blood Oath
    Top Speed: 64mph
    0-60: 9 seconds
    Braking: *
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 36mph
Notes: Easy to flip when cornering with the handbrake. The best way to corner
seems to be to stay right off the accelerator as you approach the corner,
swing around it, and then only put the gas back on when you are facing the
    right direction again.

    Yellow Van
Unlocked: after "Rooftop Rumble", Blood Oath
    Top Speed: 66mph
    0-60: 8.5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: *
    Reverse Top Speed: 36mph
Notes: This actually handles worse than the Tuk Tuk. I found it very hard to
    corner effectively.

    Metal Tuk Tuk
Unlocked: after being promoted to "Lead" (see note)
    Top Speed: 64mph
    0-60: 9 seconds
    Braking: *
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 36mph
Notes: This really is just a metal version of the Tuk Tuk with some groovy
    lights on the front.

    Thai Bus
Unlocked: after "Lucky O'Sullivan's Irish Hell Drivers", Arena Show No. 3
    Top Speed: 79mph
    0-60: 5.5 seconds
    Braking: *****
    Handling: *
    Reverse Top Speed: 40mph
Notes: If you've driven a bus in Driver 2, you'll know exactly what this is
like. It handles like a cow but is amazingly good fun to use with the Stunt
    Arena.

    Snowmobile
Unlocked: after "Suspects on Snowmobiles", Conspiracy
    Top Speed: 66mph
    0-60: 8 seconds
    Braking: **
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 36mph
Notes: This handles best on snow and dirt. Very lightweight, so it gets pushed
    around by explosions.

    Black RV
Unlocked: after "Hunted by Microlites", Conspiracy
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 4.5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: *****
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: Only failed one jump test, otherwise a great choice.

    Blue SUV
    Unlocked: after "River Race", Conspiracy
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 4 seconds
    Braking: *****
    Handling: *****
Notes: Basically the Black RV with slightly better acceleration and braking.

    Rally Car
Unlocked: after being promoted to "Assistant Co-ordinator" (see note)
    Top Speed: 91mph
    0-60: 4.5 seconds
    Braking: **
    Handling: ****
    Reverse Top Speed: 45mph
Notes: For some reason I found it incredibly easy to wheelie for a long
    distance, increasing the 'fun' value.

    Monster Truck
Unlocked: after "Monster Truck Mayhem", Arena Show No. 4
    Top Speed: 104mph
    0-60: 2.5 seconds
    Braking: *****
    Handling: *
    Reverse Top Speed: 51mph
Notes: The crazy speeds and suspension make this manic fun in the Stunt
Constructor. One you're definitely going to use.

    Jeep (1)
Unlocked: after "Wake the Garrison", The Scarab of Lost Souls
    Top Speed: 75mph
    0-60: 5.5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 39mph
Notes: It's quite easy to lose control on tight corners.

    Jeep (2)
Unlocked: after "Panzer Attack", The Scarab of Lost Souls
    Top Speed: 75mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 39mph
Notes: Identical to the first jeep in almost every way.

    Motorbike and side-car
Unlocked: after "Temple Trap", The Scarab of Lost Souls
    Top Speed: 75mph
    0-60: 5.5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 39mph
Notes: When using the handbrake, only use a very short tap as this corners very
    tightly.

    Armoured Truck
Unlocked: after "Sink the U-Boat", The Scarab of Lost Souls
    Top Speed: 79mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: *****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 40mph
Notes: Hardest to control after landing a jump, otherwise just sluggish.

    Civilian Jeep
Unlocked: after being promoted to "Co-ordinator" (see note)
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 4.5 seconds
    Braking: **
    Handling: ****
    Reverse Top Speed: 33mph
Notes: Fragile with very bouncy suspension. Although it handles well, it's not
really worthy of being the hardest car to unlock in the game.

    Supply Truck
Unlocked: after "World Record Attempt", Arena Show No. 5
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: The bad handling is not helped by hardly being able to see anything over
    the top of it.

    White Sedan (3)
Unlocked: after "Mountain Chase", Live Twice for Tomorrow
    Top Speed: 98mph
    0-60: 3 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 48mph
Notes: Very hard to handle, it seems to have too much power.

    Blue Sports Car
Unlocked: after "Head On", Live Twice for Tomorrow
    Top Speed: 91mph
    0-60: 4 seconds
    Braking: **
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 45mph
Notes: Again, there seems to be too much power to make it easy to handle.

    Tiny White Car
Unlocked: after "Police Chase", Live Twice for Tomorrow
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: ***
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: Handles OK but practically falls to bits with the slightest hit.

    White Sedan (4)
Unlocked: after "Moving Target", Live Twice for Tomorrow
    Top Speed: 83mph
    0-60: 5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: ***
    Reverse Top Speed: 41mph
Notes: Nothing special here, but still a car worthy of driving.

    Yellow Sports Car (1)
Unlocked: after "Stop the Stealth Jet", Live Twice for Tomorrow
    Top Speed: 103mph
    0-60: 3 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: ****
    Reverse Top Speed: 51mph
Notes: Finally, a car with very good handling to go with the very high speed.

    Yellow Sports Car (2)
Unlocked: after "Stop the Stealth Jet", Live Twice for Tomorrow
    Top Speed: 99mph
    0-60: 3.5 seconds
    Braking: ****
    Handling: **
    Reverse Top Speed: 49mph
Notes: Hard to handle, but more than makes up for it with its fantastically
    groovy looks.

Note: When you are promoted, the relevant car is rewarded at the end of the
movie you are working on. The hardest car to get is the Civilian Jeep, as you
have to be promoted to "Co-ordinator", i.e. get 100% on every stunt.
Filmography does not count towards this, although some can be earned when you
go back to stunts. Here are the stages you are promoted:

Start as "Rookie". Earn $200 daily pay.
Earn $20000. Promoted to "Professional". Earn $400 daily pay. Rewarded with
    Red Stunt Car, No. 72.
Earn $50000. Promoted to "Senior". Earn $600 daily pay. Rewarded with Grey
    Pickup.
Earn $100000. Promoted to "Lead". Earn $800 daily pay. Rewarded with Metal
    Tuk Tuk.
Earn $150000. Promoted to "Assistant Co-ordinator". Earn $1000 daily pay.
    Rewarded with Rally Car.
Earn $200000. Promoted to "Co-ordinator". Earn $1500 daily pay. Rewarded
    with Civilian Jeep.

Just for quick reference, I have worked out which vehicles are best at each
    element.

Highest Top Speed: Monster Truck (104mph)
Fastest 0-60: Monster Truck (2.5 seconds)
Best Braking: Grey Pickup, Thai Bus, Monster Truck, Motorbike and side-car
    (*****)
Best Handling: White Sedan (2), Black RV, Blue SUV (*****)
Highest Reverse Top Speed: Monster Truck, Yellow Sports Car (1) (47mph)

In my opinion, the best car is the Yellow Hot Rod because of its exceptional
handling and good all round stats. The Yellow Sports Car (1) follows close
    behind.
Statwise, the best vehicle is the Blue SUV.
The most fun by far is the Monster Truck because of its power and extremely
    bouncy suspension.

    ___________________

To do these tests, I used the blue 'Stuntman' car given to you at the beginning
of the game. I will include when they are unlocked for all of them.

    -----------
    (5.1) Ramps
    -----------

For each ramp I will give when it's unlocked, a distance rating (if you go
short distance, medium distance or long distance off it) and the height you get
off it. Where needed, I will add a comment.

I have numbered the ramps so that they look like this on the "ramps" screen in
    the Stunt Constructor.

    Ramp 1	Ramp 2	Ramp 3
    Ramp 4	Ramp 5	Ramp 6
    Ramp 7	Ramp 8	Ramp 9
    Ramp 10	Ramp 11	Ramp 12

    Ramp 1
    Unlocked: available from the beginning
    Medium distance
    Medium height

    Ramp 2
    Unlocked: available from the beginning
    Short distance
    Low height

    Ramp 3
Unlocked: after "Fink in the Drink", Toothless in Wapping
    Long distance
    High height

    Ramp 4
Unlocked: after "Filled In", Toothless in Wapping
    Medium distance
    Medium height

    Ramp 5
Unlocked: after "Safe Stealing", Toothless in Wapping
    Short distance
    Medium height

    Ramp 6
    Unlocked: available from the beginning
    Short distance
    Low height
Notes: This is a ramp designed to make two wheels leave the ground and two stay
on the ground. If done correctly, you can classily drive along on two wheels
    for a short distance.

    Ramp 7
Unlocked: after "Mountain Chase", Live Twice for Tomorrow
    Short distance
    High height
Notes: This ramp makes you go vertically upwards (and usually backwards). It
is effective when used in groups of three (like in Stunt Test 2).

    Ramp 8
Unlocked: after "The Corkscrew", A Whoopin' and A Hollerin'
    Medium distance
    Low height
Notes: This is the corkscrew ramp. Although fun, it tends to send the car
rotating too fast. I have only managed to successfully land this once. The
ramp used in "The Corkscrew", A Whoopin' and A Hollerin', is much better.

    Ramp 9
Unlocked: after "Tuk Tuk Chase", Blood Oath
    Medium distance
    Medium height
Notes: Just Ramp 1 with an explosion.

    Ramp 10
Unlocked: after "Suspects on Snowmobiles", Conspiracy
    Medium distance
    Medium height
Notes: Just Ramp 4 with an explosion.

    Ramp 11
Unlocked: after "Wake the Garrison", The Scarab of Lost Souls
    Long distance
    High height
Notes: Just Ramp 3 with an explosion.

    Ramp 12
Unlocked: after "Panzer Attack", The Scarab of Lost Souls
    Medium distance
    High height
Notes: This ramp seems to have no point except to smash up your vehicle.
However, it is fun to use with the Monster Truck. When approached at the
right speed, a breathtaking forward flip can be done. It looks fantastic on
    the replay!

    ----------------
    (5.2) Smashables
    ----------------

For these I will just give a comment in addition to when they're unlocked.

    1 Box
    Unlocked: available from the beginning
Notes: Only effective when you have lots of them close to each other. Quite
good fun to go into them at high speed so they go flying in the air and then
trying to catch one on top of your vehicle.

    Pile of Boxes
    Unlocked: available from the beginning
Notes: Just more boxes to have fun with. They make a good end to a jump if you
put a few in a row near the ramp.

    Billboard
Unlocked: after "Head On", Live Twice for Tomorrow
Notes: Another good ending to a jump, or a good breaker between a series of
    jumps.

    1 Barrel
    Unlocked: available from the beginning
    Notes: Basically a round box.

    Pyramid of Barrels
Unlocked: after "Safe Stealing", Toothless in Wapping
Notes: Several barrels in a pile. Like a round box pile.

    Horizontal Car
    Unlocked:
Notes: Put several in a row to create a good landing pad for a jump.

    Van
Unlocked: after "Outta Town Nitro", A Whoopin' and A Hollerin'
Notes: Provides a sturdier, bouncier landing pad when a few are put together.

    School Bus
Unlocked: after "Downtown Dash", Blood Oath
Notes: Another good landing pad when a few are put together. A fun game is to
try and jump a car so that it lands through the back doors of a specially
    placed school bus.

    Vertical Car
Unlocked: after "Filled In", Toothless in Wapping
Notes: Good for many tricks. One of my favourites is to put 5 or 6 in a row
(underside to roof, underside to roof etc.) and set up a small ramp facing
them. If you can clip the top of the first car, they all fall like dominoes.

    Pile of Cars
Unlocked: after "Rooftop Rumble", Blood Oath
Notes: Several in a row make an extra-bouncey landing pad for high jumps. Also
good to smash into from a low ramp.

    -------------
    (5.3) Special
    -------------

Again, I will just give a comment for each in addition to when they're unlocked.

    Car Cannon
    Unlocked:
Notes: This is a covered ramp with an explosion as you exit it. It is a classy
    way of doing a stunt.

    Fire Ring
Unlocked: after "Office Obliteration", Blood Oath
Notes: A good way to use this is as in "Crazy Lee Carter's Automotive Thrill
Show", i.e. a ramp, two fire rings, then a ramp to land on.

    Fire Fence
Unlocked: after "Hunted by Microlites", Conspiracy
Notes: Place a few in front of a ramp to make it lokk more impressive.

    Exploding Flatbed
    Unlocked: after "River Race", Conspiracy
Notes: If you put it in the right place, it is very effective. You do not need
to use L1 to activate the explosion. A good way to add more style is to place
a remote car perpendicular to the explosion pad and time the release so that
your vehicle hits the explosion just as the remote car reaches it. This is
very effective because all of the cars can fit underneath the flatbed.

    Small Loop
Unlocked: after "Sink the U-Boat", The Scarab of Lost Souls
Notes: This one is surprisingly hard to stay on, but still a good addition to
    any stunt.

    Giant Loop
    Unlocked:
Notes: Much easier to go over than the small loop. Put a few in a row to
    create a loop-the-loop style corkscrew.

    Lorry Ramp
    Unlocked:
Notes: As used in "Office Obliteration". Quite good fun to use. The ramp
extends through the lorry, but the part inside the lorry is hidden by the
boxes. If you go through it once and then drive up it again very slowly, you
    will see what I mean.

    Remote Controlled Car
Unlocked: after "Tame the Train", A Whoopin' and A Hollerin'
Notes: This gives a driverless car a short burst of nitro. To set them going,
press L1. Good to use for multi-car jumps.
Unfortunately, they all go at the same time, so you can't set them off one at
    a time.

    Explosion
Unlocked: after "Temple Trap", The Scarab of Lost Souls
Notes: Press L1 to activate it, then when you drive over it, an explosion
happens. It can be used as many times as you like, but once it has happened,
you have to press L1 again to set it up. This means you cannot have three in a
row, as only the first one you drive over will go off.

    Cannon Roll Ramp
Unlocked: after "Rozzer Bovver", Toothless in Wapping
Notes: This may seem pointless at first, but a successful cannon roll can be
done with it. Get a lot of speed, then aim to get the ramp just inside your
left (or right) wheels. This should cause the car to canon roll. If anyone
finds a better method, please e-mail me with it. You will be credited.

    Wall
    Unlocked:
Notes: A good way to stop a car. You can be buried by boxes! Set up three
walls like this: ¦_¦ to form a pen. Then place as many box piles as
possible in it. Drive as fast as possible into the pen and you will be
stoppedn by the back wall as several boxes fall on top of your car, covering
    it completely.

    ----------------------------------
    (6.1) Toothless in Wapping, London
    ----------------------------------

And so you start your stunt career in a low budget gangster comedy set in
central London. These first stunts aren't to hard and this is a good movie to
get used to the controls, the icons and the director barking in your ear all
    the time.

The required pass rate for these scenes is 75%.

    =============================
    (6.11) Hiccup with the Pickup
    =============================

    Scene difficulty: *
100% bonus: Grey Sedan, Ramp 4, Ramp 5

    1. Stay to the left of the road to avoid the green car that comes out in front
of you and handbrake 180 to the right, just in front of the van.
    2. Go right around the corner and stay on the left to avoid both cars before
doing a handbrke turn right into the alley. Carry on down the alley to hit the
    boxes at the end.
    3. Handbrake turn right and the left into the tunnel. Make sure you stay on
the left or you'll hit the lorry. Make sure the blue car has passed before
attempting to overtake the green car.
    4. Swerve back to the left to avoid the car coming the other way and turn left
out of the tunnel. Aim for the right hand side of the gap, as a lorry will
    force you there anyway.
    5. Carry on forward to hit the boxes.
    6. Stay on the right hand side of the alley you enter to go mast the skip.
    7. Handbrake turn left and go through the boxes, immediately turning left
    again.
    8. Use both handbrake and normal brake to stop in the box.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $2000
Time bonus: 8.78 seconds - $1760 (You will get $20 for every 0.1 second
(rounded to the nearest 0.1 second))

    ====================
    (6.12) Safe Stealing
    ====================

    Scene difficulty: *
100% bonus: Grey Sedan, Barrel Pyramid

    1. Accelerate and hit the boxes to the left of the lorry.
    2. Handbrake turn right and squeeze past the skip.
    3. Hit the boxes ahead.
    4. Handbrake turn right and then left. Aim to clip the dorr off the van and
    handbrake turn to the left.
    5. Brake in the yellow box then do a reverse 180 or a 3-point turn.
    6. Turn left and left again before braking in the yellow box.
    7. Straighten up as you reverse towards the end of the pier and slam on the
accelerator as soon as the director says "Brake". If you slam on the brakes,
this will just send you reversing faster off the end of the pier.
    8. Jump off the middle of the pier to land in the yellow box.
    9. Accelerate through the time gate and brake in the yellow box.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $2000
    Time bonus: 6.58 seconds - $1320 ($20 for every 0.1 seconds)

    ====================
    (6.13) Rozzer Bovver
    ====================

    Scene difficulty: **
100% bonus: White Van, Canon Roll Ramp

    1. Accelerate up the middle of the ramp and turn slightly left at the top to
    hit the life ring.
    2. You should now be at a very good angle to take out the rubbish bins (excuse
the pun) as you pass through the warehouse.
    3. Enter the second warehouse and perform a handbrake turn left around the
first line of containers. Handbrake turn right around the second set of
containers, but do it shrply so you hug the containers on the right hand side
and avoid the oncoming fork-lift truck. Handbrake turn left around the third
set of containers and swerve right through the exit to avoid another fork-lift
truck. Stay to the left, and go over the steps next to the roadblock.
    4. Handbrake 180 in the yellow box, careful of the police car that races
towards you. Bear in mind as you drive away that it is easier to avoid the
reversing lorry on its left hand side.
    5. Turn right and handbrake turn the next right, setting yourself up to go
    through the roadworks.
    6. Handbrake turn right again and keep to the left to avoid the police car
that bursts out of the warehouse next to you. Swerve into the tunnel and mount
the pavement to overtake the car to the left.
    7. Wait until the car coming the other way passes, then swerve right to
overtake the car. Swerve left again to avoid the van and then to the right to
    avoid the car.
    8. Ignore the traffic crossing your path ahead, as it all passes before you
get ther. Go through the gap ahead.
    9. Try not to be put off by the car to the left ahead and the lorry that comes
out of the road to your right and aim to get your left wheels up the plank.
No matter what happens, you will be credited if you go through the time gates.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $2000
    Time bonus: 10.60 seconds - $2120 ($20 for every 0.1 seconds)

    (6.14) Fink in the Drink
    ========================

    Scene difficulty: *
100% bonus: Police car (London version), Ramp 3

In this scene I found it better to use the normal brake most of the time than
the handbrake, as there are many sharp corners linked together.

    1. Accelerate throught the gap and follow the car around the corner.
    2. Go left under the crane then immediately right. Follow the car left, left
again, then right. Accelerate and hit the barrels.
    3. Handbrake left and swerve into the warehouse. DO NOT turn left as you will
lose a lot of time - the entrance is slightly hidden around the corner. Go
through the warehouse and handbrake 180 to hit the boxes.
    4. Follow the car to the right. Go through the barrier to the left of the
    skip.
    5. Go right of the second skip and swerve left to avoid the reversing lorry.
Go under the crane and turn right.
    6. Keep to the right of the car and aim just ahead of it as it turns. Brake
hard with both handbrake and normal brake as you hit it to avoid following it
    into the river.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $4000

100% bonus: Tow Truck, Vertical Car

    1. Follow the van around the corner, avoid the lorry and turn left. Handbrake
right then left, avoiding the car and do a handbrake 180 turn into the
warehouse. Stay to the left of the skips and jump through the boxes on the
    lorry.
    2. Turn left at the exit and stay right of the first lorry. Swerve left to
get close to the second lorry.
    3. Handbrake right and right again. Swerve through the roadworks onto the
    ramp.
    4. Go through the boxes. The van leaves you for the time being.
    5. Swerve left right at the top of the ramp to avoid the fork-lift truck while
still getting close to it and to avoid the wall ahead.
    6. Handbrake right into the warehouse. Keep to the right to avoid the
fork-lift truck and go between the next fork-lift truck and the lorry.
    7. Swerve out of the warehouse and hug the left wall to just squeeze under the
    ladder.
    8. Handbrake right and press L1 when you're in the yellow box.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $4000

    (6.2) A Whoopin' and A Hollerin', Louisiana
    -------------------------------------------

This is another comedy, set in the USA this time. Quite a lot of the driving
is on dirt tracks so get used to the handling quickly. On quite a few of these
stunts, timing is essential, so make sure you can do them at speed.

The required pass rate for these scenes is 80%.

    =======================
    (6.21) Outta Town Nitro
    =======================

    Scene difficulty: */**
100% bonus: Yellow Hot Rod, Van

This scene is all about timing, but if you get it wrong, you should still have
    enough time to complete it.

    1. Accelerate and keep to the left to avoid the oncoming vehicle. Handbrake
    right through the fence.
    2. Go up the hill and aim for the smoke to hit the chimney in mid-air.
Handbrake right as soon as you land to avoid going off the road and into the
    fence.
    3. Follow the road at top speed and jump through the trains angled slightly to
the right to avoid the cop car.
    4. Handbrake right and right again through the burning buildings. Try and
angle yourself for the ramp coming up if once you have done the scene a few
times and know where it is.
    5. Accelerate hard and jump through the wagon. Handbrake right as you land,
    avoiding the trees.
    6. Handbrake 180 through the level crossing and get close to the cop car.
    7. Get close to the explosion and use the normal brake to turn left.
    8. Take your time to line up with the thin gap and drive at a medium pace
    through it.
    9. Handbrake right through the fence.
    10. Go slightly left as you jump the first swimming pool to avoid going into
    the second pool.
    11. Handbrake right through the fence.
    12. Go through the gap and tap the handbrake to do wide 180 turn on the dirt.
    13. Go through the gas station to get close to the explosion.
    14. Go through the gap ahead and swerve right to avoid the fence that juts out
    in front of you.
    15. Handbrake right and accelerate hard to get under both falling chimneys in
    time.
    16. Handbrake right then left and jump the river through the billboard.
    17. As soon as you regain control, go left back onto the road. Handbrake right
and keep hard on the accelerator, Press L1 when you're in the yellow box and
be careful not to hit any vehicles.
    18. Brake hard in the box that appears after you land.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $4000
Time bonus: 21.78 seconds - $8000 (You will get $40 for every 0.1 second
(rounded to the nearest 0.1 second) up to $8000)

    ====================
    (6.22) The Corkscrew
    ====================

    Scene difficulty: **
100% bonus: Orange Hot Rod, Ramp 8 (Corkscrew Ramp)

    1. Turn right onto the road and follow the car. Make sure you get in the
circle by the van but don't hit it.
    2. Line up for the jump, avoiding the school bus. The roadworks will throw
you out of line a little but only a minor correction should be needed.
    3. Stay on the right of the road and go onto the grass to overtake the car on
its right. Use the fence to keep control and straighten up if needed. Use
the normal brake to slide right into the dirt track. Go between the two
vehicles ahead and get close to the pickup.
    4. A very short tap on the handbrake for each of the long corners ahead should
be enough to slide around them. At the hairpin bend, use the handbrake just
after the lead car begins to turn and swing around. Carry on up the slope and
handbrake right through the far end of the smashable fence at the roadblock.
    5. Line yourself up very early for the gap in between the trees and squeeze
    through.
    6. Handbrake right as you smash through the fence.
    7. Keep hard on the accelerator as you pass the next few vehicles.
    8. As soon as you go over the little bump next to the van, get on the normal
brake to slide at a 90 degree angle facing to the left. Once you're lined up
with the tunnel/bridge, accelerate through and handbrake right at the end,
being wary of the vehicles just around the corner. This part is the toughest
part of the scene and needs quite a bit of practice. Go around the corners
ahead and head to the left through the barn as the lead car crashes. Handbrake
right as soon as you exit, or you'll hit the fence.
    9. Stay to the left to go over the jump by the roadblock.
    10. Handbrake left through the fence.
    11. Straighten up to jump the fence.
    12. Go straight on and be prepared to do a handbrake 180 in front of the
    approaching cop cars.
    13. Head around the bend to the left and line up early for the corkscrew ramp.
Drive through the yellow bars once you land.

Immediately swerve right around the car and left past the van.
    2. Head up the centre of the road and aim to jump between the left hand bar
and the number of the time gate, getting your angle right to land on top of
the train. If you miss, you won't get 100%, but you can either wait for the
train to pass and follow it over the bridge or use one of the ramps either
side of the river to jump it. If you miss, go to number 5.
    3. Straighten up and drive along the top of the wagons onto the flatbed.
    4. Stop until the platform is alongside you and drive smoothly onto it.
    5. Drive through the barrier at the end of tthe platform.

vehicles, then through the car wash.
    10. Stay right through the car wash to avoid the ditch at the end. Go up to
the stationary train and hug it to avoid the oncoming train. Handbrake 180
    once you've passed both trains.
    11. Now hug the moving train to go between the two. Once they have passed,

walls and racks of Driver games (Reflections' PS1 classic).

    1. Accelerate and overtake the van.
    2. Overtake the car on its right.
    3. Swerve left to overtake the van.
    4. Go through the barrier. You can either take it at 90 degrees to end up on
the far side or swerve through it to go left of the bus. Either way - don't
    hit the bus!
    5. Avoid oncoming traffic while still going at high speed - try to look ahead
so you can change lanes early. Go through the barrier again.
    6. Accelerate hard to overtake the taxi and nip up the slip road.
    7. Glance along the bus.
    8. Overtake the lorry, being careful not to hit either lorry.
    9. Go past the taxi and overtake the car in a clean swerve to avoid the

Accelerate hard and hit the bins on the left.
    6. Hit the bins on the right and avoid the car that comes from the left as you
    exit the alley.

    						******MOVIE MOMENT******
When you look at the replay of this scene, there are several points where the
motorbike/helicopter chase scene in Tomorrow Never Dies is parodied: the jump
over the helicopter, the drive along the balcony and the little bridges between
    each roof.
    						******MOVIE MOMENT******

    1. Accelerate hard and turn right onto the bridge, avoiding the traffic.
    2. Keep to the left of the exlosion - if you're too far to the right, you'll
hit the van, fall into the crater, or both.
    3. Swerver right then left through the junction. Take it slowly up the ramp
and enter the building. To get out again, turn 180 degrees then go to the
right of the entrance and turn right. Go through the doors to go onto the roof
and follow the arrows left, over the bridge, left and right. Swerve around
the end of the building as you go through the explosion.
    4. Go over the bridge to your left and through the explosion.
    5. Accelerate hard and keep slightly to the right over the jump.
    6. The next jump is very tricky to pull off. You need to be going at pretty
much exactly 40mph to go over it. Here's how you should do it: Keep a high
speed around the right hand corner and accelerate very hard just before the
left-right bend, avoiding the walls. Look at your speed as you go over the
jump. If it's less than 40mph, start accelerating slightly earlier next time.
If it's over 40mph, start accelerating slightly later next time. Eventually,
you should be able to judge the exact point where you start accelerating.
E-mail me if you find a better way of doing this.
    7. Turn right through the explosion.
    8. Go carefully across the bridge and turn right after the time gate.
Accelerate hard to jump over the helicopter.
    9. Turn left then right and nip quickly across the bridge before it's shot
    down.
    10. Turn right and then left at the time gate. DO NOT go straight on over the
ramp ahead - you went there earlier in the scene!
    11. Go down the ramp and line yourself up carefully on the balcony. Drive
along it carefully and down the ramp at the end.
    12. Go through the gap.
    13. Ease off the accelerator slightly and jump through the trailer.
    14. Drive through the gap as soon as you regain control - it won't count if
    you're too late.
    15. Accelerate hard and aim for the boxes when you jump. It doesn't matter
where you end on the barge as long as you land in the yellow box.

    (6.42) Hunted by Microlites
    ===========================

    Scene difficulty: *****
100% bonus: Black RV, Fire Fence

I found this the hardest scene in the game. Even after completing the game, it
still took me a very long time to get 100% on this one.

    1. Head to the left around the car. Don't use the brake on the left turn
ahead. Instead, stay on the right of the road, ease off the accelerator
slightly and hold left to slide around the corner. This needs to be done
perfectly to get to an explosion later on - if you clip the kerb, you almost
certainly won't make it in time. Also, there's a snowmobile that tends to hit
you in an annoying way if you don't time it right - you'll see what I mean.
Accelerate hard away one you completed the turn. Get close to the first
    explosion.
    2. Keep hard on the accelerator and go to the right of the road sign. Head
for the explosion straight ahead. Remember what I said about the first
corner? If you did it perfectly you'll JUST make it to this explosion in time.
Be careful as well - just behind the tree on the right of the explosion is a
large rock you can easily hit.
    3. Go through the time gate between the trees and throught the middle of the
explosion if it has a few seconds left, to the side if it's practically 0.
    4. Jump the ravine through the fence towards the right hand side to avoid
    landing in the shed.
    5. Go throught the time gates and near the next explosion. The following
explosions can be hard to find the first time you do this stunt, but follow
the arrows and once you know where they are, you'll have no problem.
    6. Go through another explosion.
    7. Go through the left hand side of the explosion ahead to jump the tree at
    its lowest point.
    8. Go through the trees and near the explosion.
    9. Hit the snowman.
    10. Aim for the microlite and jump of the roof of the hut. This again requires
perfect timing and judgement - once you've done this part a few times, you
should have an idea of where to aim and how much power you need. This looks
spectacular when it works but a bit rubbish when it doesn't.
    11. Go straight through the explosion.
    12. Go through the trees and brake a little to aim through the door of the
    narrow shack.
    13. This bit's tricky. Brake soon after going through the shack and turn
right, avoiding the camera crew (if you hit them, you fail the scene).
Carefully go around the edge of the ravine, keeping off the accelerator until
you've rounded the end. Accelerate hard and around the corner to the right
and go over the left hand side of the ramp to jump under the highest part of
    the falling tree.
    14. Go straight ahead and avoid the snowmobile as you go near to the explosion.
    15. Take evasive action to avoid the trees and go through the explosion.
    16. Go through another explosion.
    17. Line up with the barn window and jump into it at full speed.

    						======SHORTCUT======

    1. Accelerate gently until your speed reaches about 25mph, at which point you
should have enough grip to accelerate hard. Follow the RV and take out the

    gap between the logs.
    11. Carry on ahead. Handbrake turn left around the tree as you go through the

100% bonus: Armoured Truck, Small loop

    1. Accelerate to the left and go through the entrance. Brake to slide right,
then left after the pillar and left again on the bank, being careful of the
little section of wall sticking up. Accelerate hard and brake left through the
    boxes at the end.
    2. Brake left to slide neatly behind the pillar. Quickly line up with the
pillar ahead and press L1 to fire a rocket at it. If you miss, the scene is
    failed.
    3. Accelerate hard to make it through the quickly closing gap ahead in time.
    4. Go up the ramp formed by the pillar and turn right as you jump off. You'll
land heavily so you'll probably get a lot of damage from this jump.
    5. Accelerate hard and touch the brake to slide left and clip the hut.
    6. Go to the right of the first truck and swing left to overtake the second
    truck.
    7. Get close to the explosion.
    8. Go to the left through the hut.
    9. Go right and aim for the middle of the tiny gap between the two trucks
blocking the bridge that was destroyed in "Panzer Attack". Smash through the
    middle and jump the canyon.
    10. Clip the aeroplane wing and avoid the wrecks while going at full speed.
    11. Get near to the explosion - timing is quite tight for this one.
    12. Get near to the second explosion and brake quite hard as soon as you get it.
    13. You need to be going reasonably slowly and aim for the centre of the wall
ahead. There will be two to smash through in quick succession, so carry on
    going straight ahead.
    14. Turn right and go through the two market stalls.
    15. Go left through the time gate. Brake right and slide to clip the corner
    off the building wall.
    16. Swerve left then right to avoid the oncoming trucks and brake left through
    the wall.
    17. Aim ahead of the U-Boat tower and jump off the ramp at full speed.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $10000
Time bonus: 8.02 seconds - $8020 (You will get $10 for every 0.01 second
    remaining)

    (6.7) Arena Shows, Stunt Arena
    ------------------------------

In between movies, you will be required to participate in stunt shows at the
Stunt Arena. These get progressively harder but are very short and shouldn't
cause too much trouble. Usually, the pass rate is the same as the upcoming
movie, but it varies from show to show.

    Stunt difficulty: *
100% bonus: Stars and Stripes Stunt Car

    1. Accelerate as hard as possible to jump through the rings.
    2. Keep on the accelerator through the fire fences.
    3. Ease of the accelerator slightly just before the canon, then accelerate
hard again to just clip the top car of the pile. If you accelerate all the
time, you will miss the pile completely.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $8000
    No time bonus.

    1. Accelerate hard to clip each car as you go past.
    2. Accelerate hard through the final set of three.
    3. Go over the jump, not hitting L1 until you are in mid-air.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $6000
Time bonus: 2.44 seconds - $1470 (You will get $30 for every 0.05 second
(rounded to the nearest 0.05 second))

(6.73) Lucky O'Sullivan's Irish Hell Drivers
    ============================================

    Stunt difficulty: ****
    100% bonus: Thai Bus

This is a lot harder than it looks. You need to stay in the yellow box as long
as possible, although only two wheels are needed in the box. I found it easier
to switch to the front bumper view so you can see exactly where you are in
    relation to the box.

    1. Accelerate and keep in the yellow box. Go over 4 jumps carefully so you
don't land on the car in front.
    2. Move into the diamond formation.
    3. Move into the triangle formation.
    4. Keep moving on one side and allow the cars to pass. Start accelerating
again as the second one passes and slot behind the last one. Slalom through
    the cones.
    5. Move into the inverted triangle formation.
    6. Move behind the last car once you're on the straight, ignoring where the
box is - you'll be credited anyway. Follow the cars over 2 thin ramps.
    7. Jump through the fire ring.
    8. Accelerate hard and go over the indicated ramp, avoiding other cars on
    landing.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $16,000
    No time bonus.

    (6.74) Monster Truck Mayhem
    ===========================

    Stunt difficulty: ***
    100% bonus: Monster Truck

The key to this stunt is keeping control of the monster truck, as it's very
easy to go bouncing off the course and failing the stunt. You will be required
to do 3 laps of the dirt area in the arena involving driving over cars and
jumps. Try to roll the left or right two wheels of the monster truck only over
the rows of cars rather than just piling into them. Also, when going over the
ramp just before the first 180 degree turn, keep of the accelerator until you
have landed to avoid doing a wheelie. Use the handbrake to go around the 180
degree turns while keeping hard on the accelerator. Once you get used to it,
you should be able to do this with plenty of time to spare.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $10,000
Time bonus: 4.38 seconds - $3510 (You will get about $80 for every 0.1 second
    remaining)

    (6.75) World Record Attempt
    ===========================

    Stunt difficulty: *
    100% bonus: Supply Truck

    1. Accelerate hard and go around the loop, steering left very slightly as you
    go to avoid falling off.
    2. Line up with the ramp and press L1 in the box to hit the nitro. Stay
straight and jump off the ramp. When you land, stay in control enough to
    drive between the yellow bars.

    I got:
    100% accuracy bonus: $30000
    No time bonus.
