    Fatal Frame is a Ghost story and thus this FAQ will detail all things related
    to ghosts in this world.

    Fatal Frame is a Ghost story.  Thus, there is a lot of information about the
    ghosts that inhabit the Himuro Mansion.  In this FAQ I will attempt to give
    you all the information you will ever need to become an expert on the subject.
    Completing the ghost list is probably the one thing all players will want to
    achieve most, because it is a matter of just finding every ghost, and it
    unlocks one of the top abilities.

    This is the Ghost list as displayed in the game (available once you complete
    normal difficulty).  I have decided to list it here completely before going
    into detail because when I go into detail I list the ghosts in their proper
    order, there are a few places in the ghost list that do not follow this.

    2-2. Ghost List (Hatred Spirits)
    ==============================================================================
    
    Hatred Spirits
    --------------
    These ghosts have been turned evil by the Malice.  They roam the mansion
    trying to spread the pain and suffering that they themselves experience.
    
    In this revision I will simply be listing the Hatred Spirits with minimal
    information.  In the next revision I will fill in the missing information.
    As for completing the Ghost list, it is virtually impossible to complete the
    game without capturing all of these spirits.
    
    *The "night" field lists the first night a ghost may appear.  Generally all
    ghosts can appear in subsequent nights.
    
    *If there is a specific location listed it speaks to the place where the
    spirit will always be located.
    
    *Life is the base life of a randomly encountered ghost of this type.  When
    you encounter ghosts after a cutscene they often have more life than they
    would normally.
    
    *Damage is Listed as a % of total life a ghost can remove in normal
    difficulty. GHOSTS DO 2X DAMAGE IN NIGHTMARE.
    
    *Difficulties are ranked as a relative 1-10 scale.
    
    *Score potential is a measure of how easy it is to score big on a ghost, my
    top score is in (x,xxx).
    
    I filled in all the fields for Bound Man as a preview of what is to come in
    future revisions.

    Strategy: This ghost is very fast and makes keeping your distance very
              difficult.  So I recommend you stand your ground.  At 150 life
              she is not very resilient.  If need be snap nonperfect photos.

    Strategy: Ghost has a very long reach.  Just open up the distance and power up
              when he is about to reach/grapple for you he will duck down low and
              to the left.  Often this makes for a missed shot when your capture
              area is small.  So be ready for the quick movements.

              moment.

    Strategy: Blinded CAN NOT SEE.  Do not MOVE, period.  I used to try to power
              up to full then move to make her Rush.  With the kind of damage a
              blinded can do it is best to just go to camera mode and stop moving. 
                                         If she performs her teleport behind and is
    right on top of you, do
              not panic, do not move.  Charge your camera to full and wait for her
              moment of weakness.  If you snap a non-zero shot of a blinded she
              WILL rush you, so be ready to snap a quick shot.  Blinded will
              perform teleport behind 100% of the time after a Zero shot, so hit
              the 180 button.

              to deal with overall.  It is later in Battle Mode when trying to
              get S-Rank that she becomes difficult.  Capturing her spirit is
              never a problem.

    ==============================================================================
    
    Ground-Tied Spirits
    -------------------
    These spirits suffered and end so gruesome that they have been tied to the
    location of their deaths, forever cursed to relive the experience.
    
    These spirits are generally easy to find and non-offensive.  Most of them are
    worth a nice amount of Spirit Points.  So do them a favor and release them
    from their pain on this plane while also gaining valuable points to upgrade
    your camera with.  You will hear static whenever one of these ghosts is near.
    When you are pointing at it your radar will shine bright blue.
    
    They are listed in the order that you should find them.  This part deviates
    from the in-game ghost list. I've listed the ghosts with location and score.

    2-4. Ghost List (Seal Spirits)

    Seal Spirits
    ------------
    These spirits are Ground-Tied spirits that are in some way tied to a door in
    the Himuro mansion.  Capturing these spirits will unlock a door.
    
    It is literally impossible to complete the game without having captured all
    the Seal Spirits.  So I will simply list their location, score, and which
    door the spirit opens.

    2-5. Ghost List (Floating Spirits)
    ==============================================================================
    
    Floating Spirits
    ----------------
    These spirits are echoes of the past.  In some cases visions of death, in some
    others visions of people going about their daily lives.  These spirits will
    aid Miku by showing hey how to proceed.  They often offer messages from the
    grave as well as the occasional item.
    
    These spirits make up the "meat" of the ghost list.  It is very possible to
    complete the game having missed many of these.  Often you will find that you
    need to revert to a previous save in order to capture these ghosts.  It is
    this section of the ghost list that requires the most skill to complete.
    
    Score varies on Floating Spirits, depending on how fast and how cleanly you
    capture the spirit. Most of the ghosts will just have their name, location,
    code, and approximate score.  Those ghosts that require "special" attention
     to capture will have that information listed.
    
    **NOTE**
    These ghosts must be captured in the order that I have listed them here.  If
    you go too far in certain sections, the floating spirit will not appear. I
    have listed that information where I know it to be applicable.  But if you
    follow the list you should be fine.

         NOTE: After cutscene, activate camera, do a 180, look up.
    Bro's Shadow(OE): Score(600) Location: Fireplace, staircase
    Hallway Man(NF): Score(800) Location: Fireplace, 2F near broken staircase
         NOTE: If ghost does not appear, go click on 2F door and try again
    Man at Screen(F): Score(1650) Location: Fireplace, 1F near screen
    Wandering Man(E): Score(275) Location: Library
    DeadManís Body(NF): Score(1000) Location: Library, in closet
         NOTE: Difficult ghost to capture, after cutscene, go to camera mode, go
               down and right with the focus and snap.  Very short capture time.
    Man At Window(O): Score(400) Location: Kimono Room, near window
         NOTE: Another hard ghost to capture you must capture him through the
               spaces in the kimonos.  Find a clean shot to the middle of the
               room before activating, then get there fast when the time comes.
    Man in Closet(E): Score(400) Location: Lamp Hallway, closet
    Standing Man(F): Score(800) Location: Library, doorway (as it opens)
    Man Behind(F): Score(1175) Location: Kimono room, 180 behind after cutscene
    Woman at Mirror(E): Score(250) Location: Walkway/2F, at mirror
    Wandering Woman(E): Score(200) Location: Burial Room
    Girl Pointing(E): Score(300) Location: Storehouse
    Woman on Porch(E): Score(200) Location: Cherry Atrium

         NOTE: After opening door, go camera, sidestep left, she comes into view.

         NOTE: After leaving Doll Room for the first time, as you come around the
               corner to the Atrium, she will leap from above.  I recommend going
               to the corner, entering camera mode, facing the Atrium.  Sidestep
               to the right until you leave camera mode, re-enter camera mode and
               snap the shot as soon as possible.

         NOTE: This section of the ghost list requires precise movements in order
               to capture the next 3 ghosts.  After Woman at Corner, go to the
               Fish Tank Room, defeat the ghost, capture Monk Into Dark, then
               go to the locations specified for the next 3 ghosts, in order.

               look up so that you can see the 3F window.  Do a 180, leave camera
               mode, walk forward until the ghost is activated, go camera mode,
               do a 180, look up, snap ghost.  Do it fast you don't get long.  You
               can save the game before this ghost if you are worried.

         NOTE: This is perhaps the hardest ghost in the game to capture, it may
               require many attempts.  Best thing I can say is to run a little
               bit past the edge of the stairs into the hall, maybe .25 seconds
               longer than ghost appearance, go camera and snap as fast as you
               can.  This ghost has caused a lot of people a lot of problems.
    KidRunningAway(F): Score(600) Location: Fish Tank Room
    Bro's Shadow(O): Score() Location: Corridor, corner near demon mouth
    Hanged Woman(E): Score(700) Location: Cherry Atrium, tree branch

    Some of the random ghosts are mini-versions of the real thing.  I have listed
    below those ghosts that come at a specific time tha trepresent the actual
    ghost of the person who has died.  You can generally tell when you have faced
    one of the unique spirits because of the blue flame that comes to your camera
    after the battle.  When you recieve a blue flame it means you have cleared
    that ghost off the ghost list.

              If he gets too close he will grapple.

              you can see him.  When he is in those walls he is very difficult to
              deal with.
