Hello, and welcome to my FAQ/Walkthrough for Midnight Club II. I have not
played Midnight Club II for very long, so this is isn't my favourite game and
I don't know much about it, so you might want to look at the other guides for
this game because they're probably better. Anyway, I'm not very good at
introducing myself in FAQs, so let's just get on with the guide, OK!?

Version 1.00 - Saturday, 4th September - Started to write this guide. I
borrowed this game off a friend not too long ago and completed it. He agreed
to let me borrow it until I complete this guide, quite generous of him.
Anyway, all of the walkthrough is complete, and most of the guide is complete.
Don't expect a lot more updates.

If you want to play the game, you'll need to no the controls. The further you
get in the game (which should be no problem with my FAQ...heh heh...), the
more controls and special features you can use, like nitrous (boost) and
weight transfer. This section will tell you how to use the basic controls. If
you are not clear on how to use them, there is a much clearer version on the
options menu in the game.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basic Controls Explained:
=========================

Left Analogue Stick:
Basically, when you're car is moving, the left analogue stick moves your car
in the same direction you move the stick. Be careful, though, because some
cars and motorcycles can easily skid out of control.

Right Anaolgue Stick:
The right analogue stick can move your car. Most people use X and Square to
accelerate and reverse, but you can also use the right anaologue stick. If you
push it up, you will accelerate, and if you push it down, you will reverse.
This is quite useful if you want to move at a certain speed.

R3:
This beeps your horn. Doesn't really have a purpose.

L3:
This flashes the lights at the front of your car/bike. This button is only
used to show other street racers that you want to race with them. Other than
that, I can't think of any other reason why you should use this button.

R1:
The handbrake. Basically, if you're going really fast and you need to pull a
sharp turn, press or hold this button. It will make your turn easier and your
vehicle will usually skid. Be careful using this button, though, because you
can sometimes spin out of control.

R2:
This uses your nitrous. A nitrous is just a boost, but your car can only hold
so many of them (the maximum is 5). Pressing R2 will also perform a Slipstream
Turbo, but look at the section below on more info on that.

L1:
Again, check the section below to find out more about weight transfer.

L2:
Holding L2 will change your camera angle so you can see what's behind you.
You shouldn't use this much because you can easily crash because you can't
see where you're going. This is usually used to see what the vehicles behind
you are up to.

Circle:
The handbrake. Basically, if you're going really fast and you need to pull a
sharp turn, press or hold this button. It will make your turn easier and your
vehicle will usually skid. Be careful using this button, though, because you
can sometimes spin out of control.

Square:
This slows down your vehicle, but not as fast as the handbrake. Once this has
slowed down your vehicle, you will reverse.

X:
This accelerates your vehicle. Obviously, the longer you hold it, the faster
your car goes because no car gets to its top speed straight away. Never take
your thumb off this button unless you really need to stop straight away.

Traingle:
All this does is change your camera angle/view. If you don't like the default
camera angle for some reason, you can change it to first person view or other
angles. You might want to play about with this button at first to get used to
the different camera angles so you know what one you like best.

Up D-Pad:
Pressing this will show you the whole map of the city you are racing in. It
will take up your whole screen though, so only use it briefly or you'll crash,
unless you can see through the map outline.

Left/right D-Pad:
This will change the song you are listening to. All three of the cities have
about 10 different tracks. Los Angeles tends to have more rap/hip hop music,
Paris has some dance/club music, and Tokyo has more Techno music. I'm not
sure if you'll like much of the songs but oh well.

3.0 Unlocked Controls --------------------------------------------------------
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

As you proceed during the game, you will be told that you unlocked something
other than a car. The things that you unlock during the game should improve
your driving skills. I'm writing this little section to tell you how to use
these controls properly, and where to find your special driving skills.

NOTE: Nearly all of the unlocked controls are unlocked in LA. Just so you know
and I don't get any stupid Emails.

=---------=
+ Nitrous +
=---------=

I wouldn't usually call this an extra maneuver, because you unlock it just by
beating the first race. Anyway, your nitrous is just a boost. Pressing R2 will
turn on your nitrous. Two blue flames of fire should appear at the back of
your car, giving you an extra boost. However, you only have a limited amount
of nitrous'. At the early stages of the game, you only have one nitrous per
race. But, you can earn a maximum of five boosts, but only at the very latter
stages of the game that is.

=---------=
+ Burnout +
=---------=

At the start of any race or whenever your car is still, hold down the
handbrake and the accelerator at the same time. Your wheels will produce smoke
and the meter on the right of the screen will fill up. Release the handbrake
and your car/bike will get an extra boost. Once you have unlocked this trick,
always do a burnout whenever your car is still. It helps a lot and it will get
you out of tight situations.

=-----------------=
+ In-air controls +
=-----------------=

When you drive up a ramp and your car is in the air, hold down the L1 button
and move the left stick in the direction you want the car to land. In-air
controls are best used when you hit a ramp from a slightly different angle and
you lose control in the air. This should also make landing a lot easier.

=-------------------=
+ Slip-stream Turbo +
=-------------------=

When you are behind a car, the metre on the right of the screen will fill up.
When it is full, press the R2 button to get an extra boost without losing a
Nitrous. Pretty cool, eh. Use this quite often as it is a very helpful trick.

=-------------------=
+ Two Wheel Driving +
=-------------------=

When you are driving on the road and you want to squeeze through a tight space,
hold down the L1 button and move the left stick in the direction you want your
car to go on two wheels. It looks cool and it is quite hard to pull off so
don't try too hard to use it in races. I would just use it for show.

4.0 Tips in Racing -----------------------------------------------------------
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

This section is basically just a few tips on how to complete this game as soon
as possible and lower frustration to the minimum level. Midnight club II is by
far the best street racing game I have ever played but however, it can make
you so angry at sometimes, (especially during Tokyo in career mode) it's the
sort of thing that makes you want to smash your PS2 into the ground and bury
it somewhere where nobody will find it. I'm here to make sure you don't do
that and to make you the best illegal street racer in the world.

Always do a burnout before the race actually starts, and if you are facing in
the wrong direction, just position yourself to where you want to go by
pressing left or right (Donut) whilst holding down X + R1, and you'll blast
off like a rocket. And if you take a massive hit and you are not moving, do a
burnout or a donut to get back to your normal speed and catch up with the
other racers.

Whenever you need to squeeze through tight spaces, go on two wheels as you're
driving. Try not to flip over on the roof of the car, though, because that
will lose precious seconds and it may lose you the race.

When you are racing against motorbikes, try and knock them off their bike to
get in front of them easily. Bikes are faster than cars so if you cheat and
knock them off their bikes, you can easily get in front.

This tip is always a good way to win a race. Whenever you're behind someone,
hit their back wheel to make them skid and turn around, so that they're facing
in the wrong direction, allowing you to quickly get in front of them and
hopefully win the race, if done correctly. Note: When you ram there back
wheel, (either side) the person you hit will usually come back for revenge and
do just what you did to them. An easy way to avoid this is to find a pole, a
wall or a tree that doesn't break when you drive into it, and just as the
driver is coming up behind you, drive up to one of the objects that I
mentioned before and quickly turn away from the object, making the other racer
crash into it. This is also a good way to get rid of the police.

If you only have one nitrous, save it until the end of the race. If you have
more than one nitrous, use it just before a huge jump or ramp to get a little
extra speed. Don't do this on every level, though, because you might need to
use a nitreous or two when you're WAY behind from the other racers.

Whenever you're on your bike, do a wheelie (L1 + down) to pick up a lot of
speed. By doing this you have a much greater advantage over cars because it's
like an extra nitrous, only you can do it whenever you want to. I would advise
you to not to do a wheelie when you are about to turn; it might cause you to
crash. Another trick with your motorbike is the weight transfer. Holding L1
will make your character duck down allowing you to turn easier and go a little
bit faster.

Usually when you are just about to race up a long ramp, you might lose your
balance while you are in the air. Hold down L1 when you're in the air and the
direction (left, right, up or down) you would like to land in. If you do this
correctly, you should save a lot of time and speed.

If you are stuck on a race and you don't know what car to use, exit to front
end on the pause menu and then look at your cars. Press square to see the car
statistics and what cars are best at what.

+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

Career mode is basically the main part of the game. It lets you race other
people around the city and win their cars. Career mode lets you complete most
of the game; the other part in the game is earned in the arcade mode. The
further you get in the game, the better the cars you get. Races gradually get
harder the more you play the game, the more you play the game the more fun it
should get. Slowly you will gain a reputation around the world and soon be
champion of the world. You may think it but there is no disadvantage with what
car you have to what car you are racing.

-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
5.1 Los Angeles
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-

There are three cities in the game, L.A, Paris and Tokyo. Out of the three, I
would say L.A is the worst, least Fun City in the game, and it's the easiest
too. It hardly has any short-cuts, and there's really only just one huge
freeway that runs around the whole city. But there's one thing that I really
like about L.A and it's the Dam. You can do some heavy jumps in it. It is used
in most of the races in L.A.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=
 5.1a) Moses
=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Moses is one of the main characters in L.A, he is the first person you race
and he sets you up with other racers around town. When you start the game, you
are told to flash your lights at Moses (L3) and follow him to the race point.

============
 Initiation
============

This is the first race of the game; of course it's going to be easy. You don't
really need directions; it's just a straight road with minor curves. Try and
beat 1.00 without cheats.

=====================
 Welcome to the club
=====================

This just one of the many proper races that you'll have in the game, you
shouldn't find it to hard to beat. Go around the police car and turn right at
the first checkpoint. Try and over-take Moses here and race up the stairs. You
should land on the highway, when you do land on the highway, turn left. Just
clear the next few checkpoints without hassle. When the last checkpoint is on
your mini-map, instead of turning left then right, go through the narrow alley
to find that the final checkpoint is on your left.

You have won the Citi.

You now have the Nitrous, which is an extra boost when you press R2.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 5.1b) Steven
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

==============
 Takeoff time
==============

This isn't really a race, you have a time limit, and every time you clear a
point, you get time added on to get the next checkpoint. Head straight to the
first checkpoint; go through the gates for the next one. You should easily be
able to find the next two checkpoints without directions.

===============
 Triple threat
===============

This is the first race that you have where can collect the checkpoints in any
order. I'm going to give you the easiest route to take, you might find another
route but mine is quicker. Go straight ahead to the first one, turns right and
the rest of the checkpoints are easy to find. If you don't understand my
route, just follow Steven to the end the first time round, then just do the
same route as Steven but faster.

You win the Emu.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=
 5.1c) Maria
=-=-=-=-=-=-=

After you follow Maria, it will tell you that you have unlocked in-air
controls.

The best car to use for the next two races is the Citi.

===============
 Freeway rally
===============

Most of this race is on the highway, so watch out for the traffic. Cut through
the grass and dodge the trees. You have to jump off of where you are now and
onto the highway, stay with the other racers and dodge the traffic. There is a
police helicopter shining a light on the highway, try not to get caught in the
light, sometimes police cars come and catch you if you stay in the light for
too long. There is one point where a massive lorry turns in front of you,
chill don't panic, just go in-between the wheels and find yourself in front
(Most of the other cars crash here). Just go through the next few checkpoints
the next and last time you get off of the highway, there is one sharp turn.

===============
 Corner cutter
===============

This race is just you and Maria. Every time you clear a point, you get time
added on for the next one. It's just like Steven's first race only this time
your racing someone. Just smoothly complete this one by just making a few
sharp turns. Nothing to look out for apart the police road block towards the
end of the race and keep your balance when you jump off the grass at the end
of the race.

You win the Torrida

=-=-=-=-=-=-=
 5.1d) Angel
=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The Torrida is the best car to use for the next three races

====================
 Hollywood Hysteria
====================

I only have one route to win this race, there are others but I personally
think my route is best but you might think differently. Start facing the right
and then make a right at every checkpoint until you are at the snake road.

This is when it gets tricky. You have to make the second right and then left
at the checkpoint and make your way back to the snake road, try and stay with
the other cars. Now follow the other cars until you are on the really straight
road, here's where you use your nitrous.

You have unlocked the burnout.

======
 Drag
======

On this one you are racing Angel's Dad. Do a burnout; avoid the bus and then
jump off of the road. The checkpoints are basically just on the LA river.
Watch out for the two ramps, hit the one on the right and keep a good balance
in the air, you'll need it. The next two checkpoints are on the slanted wall
on the left, stay on the wall until you get the second one. Gets back on the
floor and use your Nitrous. The next checkpoint is straight ahead. Once you've
collected it jump the wall on your right. If you have enough speed, jump over
the buildings, and if you're in front of him by far then slow down at the last
blue checkpoint and get on the road to find yourself at home.

You win the 1971 Bestia

====================
 Cheaters never win
====================

In this race, if you fall behind, you'll probably catch up again, so don't
restart the race. Make the first left and hit the back of Angel's car, now
turn right across the bridge, left and then another left across the bridge.
Now, there are different ways to go from here. I'm going to tell you two ways.

1) You can turn right when you get off of the bridge and make the first left.
2) This is a short cut that I found when I crashed into a car. Anyway, If you
turn right once you're off the bridge again, there is a very narrow alley on
the left. Slow down if you don't know where it is. Try the race a few times
and know where it is, turn right out of the alley, trust me it's quicker.

Now, clear the next point and head across the long and straight road. Now,
before this checkpoint, do a 180 degrees turn so that the back of your car
hits the point. Do a burnout, and avoid the truck, left, right or under to
avoid the truck. Use your nitrous and smash through the glass and slightly to
the right is the next checkpoint, now go towards the road on the left at top
speed. Turn right once you're on the road to get the next one. Take the second
right, and then take the first left. Smash through the fence on your right and
go under the building-site and turn right.

You win the Interna

=-=-=-=-=-=-
 5.1d) Gina
=-=-=-=-=-=-

===================
 Unexpected Guests
===================

You should take the lead early on if you do a burnout. Take the obvious turns
at the first three checkpoints. Head straight for the next one, now there are
a set of stairs on your left. Jump them and head for the next checkpoint. Keep
going straight until you can see the next checkpoint inside a car park, get
the checkpoint and quickly escape the car park on your right. The rest is
simple, find your way to the end and just follow your nose. It should be a lot
easier doing it yourself than following my directions.

==========
 Showdown
==========

This is your the first race that includes motorcycles so, a little tip: knock
anyone who is in front of you off their bikes!

This race is quite short, so you won't need directions for it, but, when
you're on the bit where you have to left, right, left, right etc. Start going
left first and do not crash. When you are back on the main road, boost when
the orange checkpoint is on your map.

You win the Cohete

=================
 Weight Training
=================

This isn't actually a race; it's just for you to get used to a bike. Just head
to the checkpoint on the other side of the city doing wheelies and stuff. If
you don't complete this on your first try, you'll have a problem completing
the next race.

======================
 Flight to the Finish
======================

Traffic is high in this race, so I would use the Cohete. Get onto the highway,
if you are behind, does a wheelie. Once you've collected the third checkpoint,
you have to turn right, it's a sharp turn so hold down L1. Now you should be
on the airport road that goes round in circles. Watch out for turning
vehicles, especially limos and buses.

Once you clear the airport bit, turn right; watch out for the cops. Turn
left at the next point and go through the parking lot. Turn left once you're
out of the parking lot to get the next checkpoint. Continue going straight to
get the next two. The next one is on the grass, use L1 to turn here. Follow
the road to the next one and brake through the fence into the construction
site and jump the ramp.

You win the Citi Turbo

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 5.1e) Hector
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

===============
 Lose the Cops
===============

This one is so easy, I completed it on my first try. It's not actually a race;
you just have to lose the cops. Head towards the checkpoint and go down any
alleyway or jump any ramps you can find. When you've lost the cops, quickly
make your way to the next race.

=============
 Block Party
=============

This is another race where you can collect the checkpoints in any order. Start
by going in the direction you're facing in (follow the pack) and take a left
across the bridge. The first checkpoint is right in front of you, get it and
turn right, now turn left. Turn at the second right and there should be two
checkpoints in front of you, turn right at the second one to get the next one.

Don't turn left now, keep going straight and collect the next three
checkpoints - on the right - in any order. Now, make your way to the last four
checkpoints and collect them so that the one you get last is nearest to the
last one. (If that makes sense. Think about it)

You unlocked the Slipstream Turbo.

=====================
 Slipstream Chicanes
=====================

This one is too easy, and if you win it, you get to race the champ. I'm to
lazy to give you street racers directions that you don't really need, so I'm
just gonna give you one little shortcut. Once you've cleared the last blue
checkpoint, cross the small bridge and just to your left is a brown and rusty
fence. Smash through it and go up the ramp at top speed and you should land on
some rooftops. Keep going straight to find your self with the Monstruo.

You win the Monstruo

=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3.1f) Dice
=-=-=-=-=-=-

This guy is on the front cover of the game, I don't know if that means
anything, but I thought I'd just like to say. He is also the champion of Los
Angeles and he'll give you the two toughest races so far in career mode.

===========
 Crossover
===========

This race takes quite long to start, so keep on your mark; the game has not
frozen. If you get a very good start, stay at the front of the pack, but if
you get a bad start, stay at the back because nearly all of the racers crash
when you turn right. Get the first checkpoint and turn left, try and use the
Slipstream Turbo if you get the chance. Turn left and clear the next two
checkpoints, now you have to go in and out of the trees, clear all of those
points and go down the hill. There is a really sharp turn coming up on your
right. Make your way onto the highway and follow the checkpoints until you
have to jump off of the highway onto a construction site bellow. Smash through
the fence and the rest is quite simple, there are a lot of different routes
here, pick the one you're familiar with, or just follow the other racers.

It shouldn't be too hard if you try it a couple of times. If you fall behind,
don't give up. It's a very long course so you've got a lot of time to catch
up.

====================
 Droppin' Knowledge
====================

The checkpoints on this race are very far apart so there are millions of
different routes. I'm only going to tell you the way I think is best. I found
that if you jump the steps and go down the road on your left and smash through
the glass in front of you, and approach the checkpoint from the left. Now, go
onto the s-type road and get the next checkpoint, avoiding the other racers.
Keep going until you are under the stadium. Keep making the obvious turns and
be sure to hit the jump over the Dam. You should now be on the last blue
checkpoint. There is some glass slightly to the right. Smash through it and
use your Nitrous. There is a huge jump ahead, hit it and you'll see huge
writing telling you that you have unlocked two-wheel driving.

You unlocked the Jersy XS and are now the champion of L.A

5.2 Paris
-+-+-+-+-

Paris is my favourite city in the game; it's got the most shortcuts in the
whole game. I really enjoy going up ramps. When I'm bored, I put on infinite
Nitrous (See cheats at the bottom) and go on a little cruise around the city
with the SLF45OX.

 Eiffel Visions
================

Blog is the very first street racer you race in Paris. He is a DJ and he makes
his money everywhere around the world. He comes from East London, which is a
bit annoying because that's quite near to where I live. Anyway, I just hope
you can put up with his annoying voice.

For the first race in Paris, this race is pretty easy. I would use the Jersy
XS. When you start, try and put the Slipstream Turbo to some use and make
sure that the back of your car hits the first checkpoint by doing a 180 on the
grass and doing a burnout. Sometimes, it's a good time to use your Nitrous on
the way back to where you started. A sharp right turn is coming up, then
another one left. There aren't any major shortcuts in this race. You shouldn't
be stuck on this race for very long.

Use your Nitrous when the last checkpoint is in sight. If you've got loads of
time at the end of the race, pop up on two wheels to zoom through the three
pillars. It looks really cool, but your car might tip upside-down and you'll
lose the race. But hey, you've got nothing to lose.

=================
 Rooftops Vistas
=================

This is probably one of the most enjoyable races in the game. It was actually
the first race I had a go at; I played it at my friend's house, so thanks to
Frankie "Frank-master" for showing me all of the shortcuts and jumps.

Start by going straight and turning right after the second bridge crossing.
Now, there is a very useful shortcut, turn left the moment you get the next
checkpoint through the gate. In front of you, you should see a massive red,
long ramp. Speed up it and use your Nitrous to fly high up into the sky. You
might land out of the course but, if you land on the wooden floor that slows
you down, you're in the right place.

Now, there is another useful shortcut here. As soon as you hit the next
checkpoint, turn left down an alleyway. Go left up the ramp and now turn
right. You should be going up an alleyway now and approaching a ramp off some
rooftops. NOTE: There are a lot of neat jumps around here. When you land on
the road, turn right. Follow the checkpoints to an alley that leads to another
set of rooftops. When you're jumping off of the rooftops, keep to the right
and make sure that you actually jump over the rooftop. Head left across river,
when you get the next checkpoint, quickly take a left down another alley to
save a lot of time.

Once you're out of the alley turn right down the road into a big, open space
next to the ramp you went up in the beginning. Head to the top left corner of
the huge space into some alleyways; try not to get lost here. Once you clear
the next point, go left down an alley and another left onto the road. Make a
hard right into another alley that bends slightly for another little shortcut.
There is another alley ahead of you just as you leave the last one. Slide down
these narrow alleyways and you'll be back at that massive, open space again.
Go through the checkpoint in the open space and through yet another alley.

There is a tunnel coming up so, keep to the right. Race up the road that runs
along the river and slow down when you go up onto a bridge on the left,
otherwise, you'll lose. Head along the bridge, past the first road to the left
and on your left you should see an alleyway with a bit of grass in it. Zoom
out of it onto some grass, go up the little ramp slowly and head into the
Cathedral.

You win the Boost

============
 Twin Turbo
============

Jewel & Julie are twins who say that they are the best duel racers in the
world. You're better than them, so it shouldn't be too hard to show them up.
You can collect the checkpoints in any order in this race, and the
checkpoints are in a loop. There are three different cars in this race, your
car, (Boost recommended) Bryanston V(s) and Jersy XS(s). The Bryanston Vs
start on the right, and the Jersy XSs start on the left. I would go with the
Bryanston Vs. Just follow the checkpoints one-by-one. When you reach the
checkpoint that connects the loop, go through the parking lot on your right
to avoid the Jersy XSs coming the other way. There are roadblocks ahead, you
can smash through the green ones, but the black ones are as hard as rocks. At
the end you can either jump the ramp or go around it. Jump it, just for the
fun of it and make sure you land properly, because this jump once lost me this
race.

================
 Roller Coaster
================

Try and use your Slipstream Turbo at the very start of the race, but don't go
too fast or you'll miss the turning. It's a sharp right turn to your right,
and then you have to make another right turn onto a straight road, try and use
your Slipstream Turbo here. When everyone is turning right here, slow down,
but don't turn yet. There is an alley with a bright red P on it, crash through
the two fences and continue through another set of alleyways. Once you're out
of the alleyways, you can either turn left and through another alleyway on
your right. Or you can take the right. I would take the right and tag the
shadow of the checkpoint on the grass and zoom through the alley on the right.

Now you'll have to jump onto the freeway, heading left. Make a hard left into
the gas station after the checkpoint on the freeway. Go up the ramp on your
right and make your way back into yet another alleyway. Once you're out of the
alley, there will be a massive hill of grass with steps in the middle. Jump
the grass on the right side of the hill using the Nitrous. Aim to the right of
the checkpoint to avoid the buildings. When you land, there should be two
hills going down, go down the hill on your right. Zoom out of the hill and
head under the arches and there should be a roundabout. Go to the left side of
the roundabout and jump the ramp, through the glass to get the finish line.

You win the Bryanston V

==============
 Seine Insane
==============

You can collect the checkpoints in any order in this race. Start by getting
the two in front of you, when you get the third one-which is just ahead-turn
right. Get the one in front of you and make a really sharp right turn onto the
road next to the river. (underneath you) Get the one on the road and the next
two are just ahead. For the next one, you have to jump the hill, when you are
jumping, aim just slightly to the left to avoid the tree. Clear the next one
and go under the tunnel that bends slightly. The next one is on the bend, but
watch out for the other racers coming in the other direction.

The next two are obvious, but after the second one, you have to turn right to
get the next one. After you collect that one, get the one in front of you and
make your way to the road again. You have to jump the road again now for the
next three. For the next one, instead of jumping the road again, slow down and
turn off the road and head in the other direction. I think you can find the
last one by yourself now. Make the obvious turns and the last one is in that
big open space again.

========
 Swerve
========

I would use the Jersy XS for this race, because I changed the route a bit at
the beginning. Do a burnout at the beginning and turn your car around, there
is an alley to the left, go down it and turn right. It's easier with the Jersy
XS because you can turn quicker while doing a burnout, trust me it's quicker.
Go straight and brake through the small fence onto the freeway. Be aware that
you have to change sides of the freeway into the gas station. Go through it
and change sides again. When you get the checkpoint on the other side, you
have to go in and out of the pillars of the bridge. When you have got the next
one, you have to get off the freeway.

Go to the right turn of the roundabout ahead and turn right at the next point.
Ahead is an alleyway with a few checkpoints in it; once you're out of the
alleyway, you have to get back on the freeway. Once you're on the freeway, you
have to get straight back off it again. Go through another alleyway on the
right once you're of the freeway. The last bit of the race is straight
forwards with minor curves. The last checkpoint is on some grass.

You win the Schneller V8

 5.2d) Stephane
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

================
 Roundabout Run
================

You can collect the checkpoints in any order in this race; Stephane picks the
best route. Start by collecting the first three checkpoints going anti-
clockwise. Once the third one is done, go down the road in front of you. Take
the second left for the next three and again go anti-clockwise. Get out of
that bit and take the third left, take the next right through the arches for
the next two checkpoints.

Keep going straight through some more arches and over a small, wooden bridge.
Go through a set of alleyways slightly to the right once you've crossed the
bridge. When you're out of the alleyways, turn left and collect the next three
checkpoints, in an anti-clockwise order and zoom down the road ahead. The next
three checkpoints are just ahead, collect them in an anti-clockwise order
again and go to the road to the left if you collect them in an anti-clockwise
order. The rest is simple.

================
 Over and Under
================

Start by going up the hill with the rest of the group and try and use your
Slipstream Turbo, keep good balance in the air. Go down the next hill and make
a diagonal turn left down another hill. At the next one turn right; watch out
for the police roadblock ahead, Keep going straight for the next one. You have
to make a diagonal turn right and make a hard turn right underground. Clear
the points easily and once you're out of their, use your Nitrous to jump the
Pyramid thing and get the next checkpoint in the air.

Go under the tunnel to your left and once you're out of the tunnel; slow down
to get the next checkpoint to the right, and go through the alley and turn
left. Make a hard left again and make your way back under the tunnel. Halfway
through the tunnel, you'll come between a right and left, go right. Now go
left this time. Again, Slow down as you leave the tunnel and turn left through
yet another alleyway. Turn right out of the alleyway. Turn right at the next
checkpoint and there will be two hills, go up the right one. The rest is too
easy. The finish line is on the Freeway.

You win the Alarade

 The Art of Racing
===================

The beginning of this race is really hard. When you start, go on two wheels to
avoid the red carriages going round in circles. The next bit's tricky, you
have to go in and out of some concrete with grass on it that's as hard as
rock. When you're out of there, there should be a small roundabout in front of
you, go left through the arches and watch out for the buses. Go to the end of
the road and turn right. Once the one in front of you is cleared, turn right
down an alleyway and left out of the alley for the next point

Continue to drive forwards and down a small alleyway. Turn right out of it and
head for the next checkpoint. When you have cleared it, just to the right is a
ramp that leads through some glass. Jump it and the next checkpoint is right
in front. Get the one in the grass thing again and go straight out of it. You
have to go through that huge wheel now that has red carriages, Here's where
you squeeze R2 for a Nitrous. The next checkpoint is in the middle of that
giant arch and you have to turn right as soon as you're out of it and down a
road. Get the next couple of checkpoints and jump of them steps and don't land
in the water fountain. You have to now go on that road that you went down in
Primo's first race. Get off of that road with the first chance you get. You
have to finish the race now with that huge pyramid jump again.

=====================
 Few and Far Between
=====================

This race is quite hard, considering that you are racing against motorcycles.
Traffic is low and the checkpoints are really far apart. I am not going to
give you directions. There aren't any shortcuts really, just go on two wheels
when you come across narrow arches. Use your Nitrous on the river jump and
don't follow the motorcycles.

You win the Fripon X

=================
 Monsoni Monsoon
=================

You won Ian's car and now he wants to win it back on a bike. He says he's good
on a bike and I'm not sure if that's true or not, just watch out. Start by
knocking the other bikers of their bikes and going down the alley in front of
you. Turn left out of the alley and then right. The next one is on a
roundabout. Go around the roundabout anticlockwise so you clear the checkpoint
from the right. Go down the road in front of you when you clear the checkpoint
and turn left at the turning before the end of the road. Turn left somewhere
for the next one and then turn right. Make the first right again and the next
one is on another roundabout.

Approach the checkpoint the same way you did on the first one. Go for the next
point and turn right onto the freeway. After the first checkpoint you clear on
the freeway, you have to change sides of the freeway. You have to swap sides
again after the first checkpoint on the other side. Go through the gas station
and clear the point just outside it. Now, get off the freeway, clear the point
and turn right. The next two are straightforward. The last one is in a car
park with a bright P on it like most car parks and alleyways.

You win the Monsoni

 5.2f) Farid
=-=-=-=-=-=-=

===================
 Catacomb Criminal
===================

Farid is an underground street racer escaping the cops, whatever you do, don't
use a bike. He is not a very good racer and his first race is easy. Once
you're out of the first sewage tunnel, the next underground tunnel is just
behind the pillars in front of you. Next, you are outside for about a second.
Turn right as soon as you hit the checkpoint and go back inside another sewage
tunnel. Pillars are in the way of the next tunnel again, but this time the
tunnel is on the right. Now you are outside. (Turn left out of the tunnel.)
Watch out for the Ambulance crossing the road and go straight on. Past the
Ambulance take the first left and then turn right through the arches. The next
checkpoint leads you underground again into another sewage tunnel.

Once you're out of the tunnel, go straight through the grass and into the
Cathedral. Turn right out of the Cathedral and then left. Police try and pull
you over here so, try and crash them into walls. Get the checkpoint on the
grass and go down the road to the right of the Cathedral. Make your first or
second left, it doesn't matter and go down the alley for the next one. Go
straight and use your Nitrous to jump the river and through the arches. If
you're going fast enough you will jump over the arches but that's unlikely to
happen. The last checkpoint is opposite the pyramid thing leading underground.

===============
 Lose the Cops
===============

This isn't really a race; you just have to lose the cops like on Hector's
first race. You have to get to the checkpoint without the cops following you
there. I would suggest that you go underground whenever you get the chance.
You have only got two minutes so don't take too long hiding underground. You
can find cops on the mini map, there the blue arrows.

You win the Stadt

 Extortion
===========

You are racing someone other than Farid. This time, you're racing against Owen.
He needs something from Farid's car, but instead of arresting you, he wants to
race you. Boy, he must be confident. He is probably a better racer than Farid
so don't expect to beat him on your first attempt. It should take you a couple
of times to beat this guy, so don't get frustrated when you lose on your first
race.

Start by going up the steps and through
some arches, go down the grass, clear the point and go left down another hill.
Turn right as soon as you can and clear the checkpoint on the grass. Turn left
and then right at the roundabout. Turn left onto the freeway, clear the point
and change sides of the freeway. You have to change sides again to get the
next checkpoint and then turn left through the gas station. Turn right coming
out of the gas station and down the alley.

Turn right onto the road and then turn right again. You now have to turn left
onto the freeway. Swap sides of the freeway after the first checkpoint on the
freeway for the next point. Swap sides again and turn left off the freeway. A
roundabout is just ahead and you have to turn right at the roundabout down an
alleyway. It's quite hard to see. The next checkpoints are in a zigzag in and
out of the alleyways. On the last blue checkpoint, turn right through a fence
and jump the ramp. The final checkpoint is in another alleyway with some grass
in it.

You win the Victory

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
 5.2g) Parfait
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Parfait is on the front cover as well as Dice and she is the Paris champ. She
will give you two tough races. If you beat her you get a cool car, are
champion of Paris and can now move on to race in Tokyo.

=================
 View From Above
=================

You start behind in this race but that doesn't matter. At the start of this
race you can both get on the main road, take the first right and go left
through an alley that leads to a ramp. Or you can stay on the main roads. The
jump is quicker but harder and the main road is slower and easier.

Get the next checkpoint and turn right through another alleyway and cut
through the grass on your right. (Watch out for the trees here) Get the
checkpoint and turn left. Straight-ahead is an alleyway that leads to a jump
over the river, gets onto the ramp but don't use your Nitrous or you'll fly
off course. You should land in a little tunnel that ends in the middle of
loads of alleys. Go down the one on the left. Get the checkpoint and go right
up a huge red ramp. When you land, go left and on the road, go down the one in
front of you. Follow this road and take the second right up a bumpy hill. Get
the checkpoint and go left then right. You should be on a bending road. Jump
off the hill and go through the alleyway in the top right corner.

Turn left and then take a right. Follow this road and turn right, go down the
alleyway in front of you and jump onto some rooftops. Now keep going through a
straight red tunnel and jump over the river. The next checkpoint is on some
grass, get it and brake through the underground tunnel. When you're out of the
tunnel, the checkpoint is on the left. You now have to jump the river again on
a wooden ramp, use your Nitrous or you'll go way too slow and lose the race.

Get the checkpoint and keep going forwards up a hill. Turn right down the road
at the checkpoint and jump down the hill. Go down the alleyway just to your
left and the final point is too the left aswell.

======
 Haul
======

You start this race where you finished last time, only you're facing in the
opposite direction this time. Start by going down the alley in front of you
and turning left slightly through the grass, make sure that you get on the
right side of the rocks. Smash through the bars on your left and turn right
out of the alleyway. Get the checkpoint on the main road go around huge statue
with four pillars in the middle. Go up the road behind the pillars, get the
checkpoint on the hill and turn left.

Now, instead of turning left and going down the road, cut through the grass
and into the building. When you're in the building, you will notice that the
building forms a shape of a ramp. When you land, you should be on another
ramp, so jump it. You should be on some grass now, go left and get onto the
road. Follow the road to a roundabout and turn left. The next two are on the
same road. After the second one, the next point is on a roundabout. You have
to go around the whole roundabout because the next checkpoint is behind you.
Get the checkpoint and make the first left.

The next one is on that river road again, but you get off of the road straight
away. Once you're off the road, go down the road that the checkpoint's on. Go
through the tunnel now and turn right in the tunnel. Now turn left. Turn right
when you're out of the tunnel and then take your first left. Turn right just a
bit so that you can jump the ramp through the glass for a shortcut. Get the
checkpoint and keep going forwards through the big wheel. The last checkpoint
is on the road if you turn left at the roundabout. It's in a waterfountain.

You win the Modo Prego and can now race in Tokyo

5.3 Tokyo
-+-+-+-+-

Tokyo is a fun city, but not as good as Paris. It has some nice shortcuts and
some big jumps. All of the races are quite hard. But you have to remember that
the traffic is on the left side of the road in Tokyo. Zen is really easy
though. He rides a bike but is still the easiest racer in Tokyo. When you beat
all of the other racers in Tokyo, you can race the Tokyo champ, Makoto. When
you beat him, you can race the world champ... Savo.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=
 5.3a) Shing
=-=-=-=-=-=-=

=============
 Red Herring
=============

This race is too easy. It isn't really a race actually, you're by yourself and
you have to collect three checkpoints around Tokyo, and you have a time limit.
Go down the road in front of you and turn at the first left. Go down the
second alley on your right. When you clear the point do a nearly 360? turn but
this time go on the traintracks. This way is quicker and you get a nice view
of Tokyo. Follow the track to the end and you should beat the time by 20
seconds.

====================
 Ichiro's Challenge
====================

You aren't racing Shing in this race, you are racing his friend Ichiro. Start
by going straight and taking the first left. On this road turn left at the
second turning and keep going down the road. Turn left at the left after the
checkpoint and now make the second right. Get the checkpoint and turn at the
second left. Clear that checkpoint and keep speeding forwards for the next
one. You have to smash through the bars on the left to get the next one.
Follow this road until you get the checkpoint, turn left at it. Go around this
weird shaped roundabout anti-clockwise and zoom through the next checkpoint.
Go down the road with the checkpoint on it. Now, you can either jump the pile
of dirt or go around it. You now have won your first car in Tokyo.

You win the Lusso XT

===============
 The Real Deal
===============

Finally, you are racing Shing. You beat his little time trial and you beat
Ichiro, time to beat him. Start by going left a little and try to keep up
with the pack. The first two points are on the wall of the shallow canal,
collect them and get the one on the road. Get back on the canal and go under
the bridge. After the next two checkpoints, the next ones on the road. Turn
left once you've got it, rev up the road and turn left at the next point.

Turn left across the bridge and now turn right. Turn right now and watch out
for traffic and turn right again. The next checkpoint is underneath the
freeway on the left on a road behind a little building. Turn left when you see
a shop called Speed and get the checkpoint on that road. Turn right now and
you should be heading south. Now turn right onto the traintracks and clear the
checkpoint on the tracks. Get off the tracks and make sure that you land on
the road that the checkpoint's on. Use a Nitrous and speed up the massive ramp
that leads you over the river. When you land, go around the weird shaped
roundabout and turn left, cut through the road and see that the next point is
on a different road. The next point is on the same road. Turn left at the
point and cut through a Depot, there is a massive ramp coming up and you have
to smash through some bars to gain access to it.

You win the RSMC 15

==================
 Shibuya Scramble
==================

This dude took Gina's car and now she's in big trouble with the Yakuza, you
gotta help her out. When the lights turn green that's when you go. Turn right
and go through a series of sharp turns. Once you're on the long straightaway,
There is a confusing bus Depot up ahead. Once you're there, you can either go
up the little ramp which is very narrow. Or you can go under the ramp and risk
hitting at least three busses. Whichever route you choose, get the next point
and use the really small space on the left as a shortcut. Turn left at the
next point and this time I would go under and through the Depot. Turn right at
the checkpoint and quickly turn left through some glass. Go up the stairs and
jump through the billboards.

After you have discovered my little shortcut and you have landed, turn left at
the next point and head down the alleyway in front of you and turn left. At
the Depot, make sure that you go up the ramp on your left instead of going
under it, you will crash and lose. When you're off the ramp, the road is a bit
to the right, on this road you will find the next checkpoint. Immediently make
a left through an alleyway and turn left at the weird shaped roundabout. Take
the second left and then cut through the Depot for the next point. Keep going
and make the second right. Keep going straight and through an alleyway, turn
left out of it to make Ricky madder than ever.

=================
 Ricky's Revenge
=================

You beat his first race and now he wants to get his revenge, the little
scumbag gets a head-start on this race, make sure that you beat him. If you
start by smashing through the glass on your left you should be in the top 4
racers in no time. Try and use your Slipstream Turbo on someone. Turn left
after the first checkpoint and somewhere on the right is some glass. Don't
smash through the glass; on the right is a little jump that leads over a water
feature and to the next checkpoint. Turn right up a ramp at the next
checkpoint and then jump off the ledge onto the road just in front. When you
get to the end of the road turn right and take the road on the left.

There is a lot of traffic around here so be sure not to crash. When you get
the next point, on the right is an alleyway that leads straight to the next
checkpoint. Out of this alley there is another one on the left. Once you're
through all of the alleyways, the rest is too easy. I would suggest going over
the Depot and smashing through the glass using up all of your Nitrous. I
didn't notice this until Ricky said "Can you finish under thirty seconds" or
something like that. You only have 2.30 to finish the race.

You win the Vortex 5

 5.3c) Haley
=-=-=-=-=-=-=

========
 Enigma
========

Haley hates guys who try and show-off to her so she's gonna do her best to
beat you. This race is an unordered checkpoint race; there are four sets of
four checkpoints around the Northwest side of the city. Start by collecting
the first checkpoint on the right and try your best to cut corners on the
grass. Once the first four are done, you need to turn one more time and down
the road in front and turn left at the first turning. Get the checkpoint on
this road but do not jump the stairs yet! It is very hard to land without
slowing down. You might think you have to get it but you don't have to jump it
yet. Turn right and then right again. Smash through the bars on the right,
clear the point and turn right. Smash through the gate(s) in front of you and
turn right under the traintracks and jump the stairs for the next checkpoint.

On this road take the second left and turn left and make two sharp turns
right. Now you have to make two sharp turns left and head for the checkpoint
under the tunnel. Take the first right and turn left at the next checkpoint.
Now you have to get on the left side of the freeway by doing a really sharp
turn left. Clear the two points on the freeway and turn right off of the
freeway. Get the next point, turn left and find yourself at home.

===========
 Intuition
===========

Traffic is quite high and the cops are out so I would use the Vortex 5 since
it has better handling. Start by going up onto the freeway and clearing the
point up there and coming back down again. When you've cleared the next two
take the second right and try not to hit the pillars. On this road there is a
fire-truck and a car accident, there is also a police car chasing the pack.
Turn right now and make sure that you get on the left side of the small
building on the grass.

The next part of the race is set in three different alleyways that are
connected in some way. There are loads of different ways to get to the next
checkpoint and I'm too lazy to tell you, just turn right at it. You have to
turn right again at the next point under the traintracks for the next point.
When you do get to the next checkpoint again there are loads of different ways
to get to the next one. I'll tell you my favourite way. Make the first right
possible and turn right straightaway after the checkpoint. Go around the
stadium area and go down the road in front. Get the next checkpoint without
turning much and get onto the freeway. After two checkpoints you have to get
off the freeway and cut through some grass on the right. Get the checkpoint
and turn right onto the road with the final checkpoint on it. It is crucial
that you do not crash here.

You win the Saikou

 5.3d) Nikko

=====================
 Drifters Playground
=====================

Nikko is one of those racers that has a slow car but is a fast racer, if you
no what I mean. He isn't a very good racer but he will never give up trying to
beat you. At the beginning of the race when everyone slows down to get on the
traintracks, don't slow down, just bounce off the walls. If anyone tries to
over-take you, use the Slipstream Turbo on them. If you crash while you are
jumping off of the tracks, turn right quickly. But if you are going fast and
have landed well, go through the open space with the other racers.

There are about five checkpoints and a series of sharp turns, this is the bit
where I tend to lose control and crash a lot. Get past this bit well and the
future will look bright and you're in with a chance of winning the race. Turn
left at the next checkpoint and turn right through one of the alleys. The next
few checkpoints are basically in a straight line. Keep going straight and turn
left when you go on a slightly curved road and now turn right at the next one.
After the next point the next one is quite far away. I would go to the end of
the road and turn left twice. Turn left and get ready for a sharp turn left.
Dodge the trees and keep going in a straight line. The orange checkpoint
should be visible in-between two buildings. Use your Nitrous to go up the
ramp. The Vortex 5 is the best car to use in this race since it has better
handling than the Saikou.

TIP:

I just noticed when I was writing this FAQ that, if you press L2 at the
start of the race to look behind you, You will see two Fire-trucks, an
Ambulance and a Police car driving very fast with their sirens on. When you
are out of the tricky bit at the beginning of the race, when you turn left and
go down the first alleyway on the right, you will see the two Fire-trucks, the
Ambulance and the Police car. I found it very interesting and I thought that
I'd tell you lot about it.

Every time you get a checkpoint you either have 20 or 15 seconds to get the
next one. I found it is very easy, you shouldn't really be stuck on this race,
I wasn't, that's why I'm not gonna give you directions. But I will give you
important tips. At the start of the race use the other cars as cushions. Well,
I mean, bounce off them for an easier turn and you should be third or fourth
in no time. When you are turning onto the Freeway, get in front of the bus so
you don't crash into it. Another thing to look out for is the truck that gets
in your way. When you're off the Freeway, (the third one) you have to turn
right into an alleyway, which's where the truck is. The rest of the race is
behind the road, in an alleyway.

Zen has got to be the easiest racer in Tokyo. Partly because he rides a bike
and partly because he's crap, and he gives you easy races. You only have 1.50
to finish the race, which is plenty of time, you should knock off at least 20
seconds. Turn right at the second and third checkpoint and on the right side
of the road there should be an underground tunnel. Once you're out of the
tunnel, turn right at the next checkpoint. Turn left at the next checkpoint
and go under the traintracks. Take the second right and turn left down an
alleyway. The rest is easy, I'll just say that you have to make a sharp right
turn at the last checkpoint. The very last checkpoint is underneath some
garage place.

 Karma Rising

This race is quite long but has got to be the easiest race in Tokyo. It's
really stupid to have such an easy race so late in the game. You should never
be stuck on this race unless you keep on crashing. The shortcuts are easy to
spot and you only have to make the obvious turns to win the race.

You win the Nousagi

This race is quite short but really hard. Start by making the second right and
turning left. Now turn right and then left. You should be on a small high
street. Smash through the bars on the right to get on the same road as the
next checkpoint. Turn left at the checkpoint. Now, you can either turn left or
right. Right and then left would be my choice since there is less chance of
crashing. When you're through the very small and narrow alleyway make a really
sharp right turn. Dodge the buildings and the trees and jump over the river.
Sometimes you land on the Freeway, other times you don't, hey that's life.
Actually, it's better if you don't land on the Freeway. Turn left through the
grass. Now, I don't know which ways quicker here. You can either go under the
small tunnel and taking a sharp right turn, going through a small garage
lining you up with the finish line. Or you can turn left and go straight to
the finishing line. I finished with a record of...1.39.95, try and beat that
with the Saikou.

This isn't actually a race. Help get Gina out of trouble. Payback her debt to
Ken'ichi by taking out all the racers with the Tokyo cop car. Try getting a
lot of cars at the beginning and try and get the last two cars in front of you
and using the Slipstream Turbo on them. The racers help you out a lot because
they all go the same way.

========

========

This race is easy only because your opponents have a much better car than you
do and the traffic is really high. The whole race is basically on one straight
road. It is kind of like the first race in the game, just a few roads with
very minor curves. The only bit I got confused about is at the end. The final
checkpoint is on the left ramp onto the traintracks.

You win the Saikou XS

 5.3g) Makoto

Makoto is the all district champion and he's gonna show you why. He's a really
good racer and he drives the Torque JX which is bloody fast and it has four
Nitrous. He never lets anyone race him unless they beat his little time trial
that goes around Tokyo.

=================
 Rite of passage
=================

You have to beat Makotos time trial, which is really fun. Start by turning
left and then turning right onto the road. Follow this road until you are in
line with the checkpoint. Now, don't turn left onto the road, you're gonna
smash through some bars and head up a ramp. You don't need to use your Nitrous
on this ramp. When you land turn left and somewhere along the road is a ramp
on the left. It would be better if you use your Nitrous on this ramp otherwise
you might fall in the river. Now when you land the next one is really far
away, you can find your own way there; there isn't really a faster way, there
all about the same. When you do get the checkpoint, Smash through the glass
and follow the road right to the next checkpoint. I would use a Nitrous up
this ramp but make sure that you line yourself up right. The final checkpoint
is in sight and it is the same place as you started.

========
 Enduro
========

Try and stay in the middle of the pack and use the Slipstream Turbo on someone
before they use their Nitrous. Once you've cleared the first point, stay on
the left side of the bending road so you don't crash into traffic coming the
other direction. Continue going straight and through another bending road,
again on the left side of the road. Get the checkpoint and get onto the
Freeway (the right entrance) and dodge the traffic.

Once the checkpoint on the Freeway has been cleared, get off on the first exit
and take the fist left. Turn left again and go down any alleyways that you can
see. Whichever way that you come for the next checkpoint, turn right onto the
traintracks. Get off the tracks to the road on the right, use weight transfer
in the air and Nitrous up the big ramp that participated in the last race.
When you land, turn right at the weird shaped roundabout and then left. Keep
going straight and go through the stadium area, turn right at the checkpoint.
Ahead you have to smash through some gates into a grassy area. Turn left out
of it. Go straight down the road in front and turn left at the end of the
Freeway. Get the checkpoint and turn left and get to the right side of the
road that connects to the Freeway. The next checkpoint is in-between two
buildings but not on the Freeway.

If all goes well, you should be battling with Makoto for first place. Or
sometimes you will either be miles in front or far behind. Get the next
checkpoint and turn left. The next checkpoint is right in front but you have
to dodge some features to get to it. Turn right and don't crash into the wall
that sticks out. It's hard to avoid so practice. At the next point, turn right
up a ramp that is involved in Ricky's second race. Go down the road in front
and now would be a good time to use your Nitrous. Go down the alleyway just a
bit to the left. Cut the corner on the left for a small shortcut. Go through
the road next to the bus Depot and take the second left after the Depot. Turn
left at the next checkpoint and go down the diagonal alleyway.

The next checkpoint is just in front but you have to go up the Depot ramp on
the right to clear it. Take the road on the left and cut the corner on the
right again. Just to the right is some glass, smash through it and follow the
road to the checkpoint and turn right at it. Turn left and then right. Keep
going forwards across the canal and brake through the underground barrier.
Follow it all the way to the end and keep your balance in the air so you don't
crash and lose at the very last second. You've now can race the world
champion...Savo.

You win the Torque JX

Savo is the world champion. Obviously he's the best racer in the game and
obviously he's gonna give you six real hard challenges. He's really hard to
beat and you might be stuck on him for ages, or you could just beat him
straight away which is very rare. He gives you six races, two in Tokyo, two in
Paris and two in Los Angeles. The fist race will give you a real good
taste on how the other races are going to be; meaning it's quite tough.
You should be okay if you keep on coming back on races and never give up.
Always explore the races before you try and win, but you will probably get
lost. The races are really long too which means that if you are behind, you'll
have plenty of time to catch up.

NOTE: These six races are a lot more easier if you use the Torque JX for all
      of them.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Savo - Tokyo
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Stage I - Intake
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

This race is quite long. He sometimes counts down in another language,
sometimes in English and other times he just says 'ready... go' so be on your
mark. When you start, you start in the stadium area. Go straight with the pack
and go to the left a bit and turn right down an alleyway. Follow the alleyway
and when you can see the next checkpoint it would be a good idea to slow down.
If you turn that corner well and you don't crash, the next thing to look out
for the lampposts because if you crash into one of them, you will be stuck
there forever.

The checkpoint in front of you leads down to a small bending tunnel. If you're
racing with the Torque JX, hold the left analog stick left all the way until
you are straight again. Once you're out of the tunnel, try and use the
Slipstream Turbo, but if you can't find anybody to use it on, don't worry and
just turn right down the road at the next checkpoint. The next checkpoint is
at the end of the road and the arrow is pointing right, so obviously you turn
right. But, it is not that simple, you have to turn through the Freeway
entrance on the left-hand side. Now you're on the Freeway, the next checkpoint
leads you off it again.

Now this bit's a bit harder, the next checkpoint leads you back on the Freeway
but traffic is coming in the opposite direction. The second checkpoint on the
Freeway will tell you to turn right but not off the Freeway. Ahead is a little
hill in which you have to go down. You cannot see the cars underneath you, so
I would go down the middle lane. You go through a tunnel now but you have to
turn right out of it straight away.

It would be easier if you slow down and go slightly to the right to turn left
at the next checkpoint. This will make you turn in time with the rest of the
pack, plus your car will probably be nearly blown up. Turn left at the next
two checkpoints and the next checkpoint is under the bridge in the canal. The
next two checkpoints are on the slanted wall on the left, but when the wall
starts to turn, jump off onto the road and get back on the slanted wall. It
would be a good idea to use the Nitrous here, to get far away from the pack.

Make a sharp turn left and slow down to get the perfect turn under the
Traintracks. Follow under the tracks and as soon as you get the next
checkpoint, hit square to slow down. Go up the ramp but not too far or you'll
fall off the tracks. Keep going straight towards the checkpoint, getting off
the tracks at the same road as the checkpoint and make the first right
possible, which should be a diagonal road that leads to the next point. The
checkpoint leads onto another Freeway and change sides of the Freeway on the
left. Be aware that you have to swap sides again to clear the next point.

The next checkpoint leads you off of the Freeway for the last time (in this
race). Cut the corner for the next right turn and go through the left side of
the first Depot ramp for a small shortcut. Turn right at the next checkpoint
and you can cut that corner aswell. Go down the road you are on and smash
through the glass on the right. Make the second right turn after you've
cleared the checkpoint and now make the second left, try to avoid smashing
through the glass on the right here.

It is the last part of the first race against Savo, and I would say that it's
the hardest. You have to keep turning in and out of walls and garages. I could
just do without it to be honest. I was first by miles and I crashed trying to
go through one of the garages. Obviously I lost and I was so angry about it, I
fell off into the river trying to ram off Savo the next time I tried it.
Anyway, You should end up on a ramp that was used in Makoto's time trial. Use
up all of your Nitrous on this ramp, just for the sake of it.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Stage II - Light
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

You start off at the back of the pack so it gives you a good advantage to use
the Slipstream Turbo. Use the Slipstream Turbo and zoom of onto the Freeway
through the first checkpoint. Be aware that the traffic is high on the Freeway
but don't go on two wheels because of the slight turn. Clear the point that
leads off the Freeway and turn at the third right and cut through the Depot.
Head straight towards the next checkpoint, cutting through the Depot again.
Use your handbrake and slow down to avoid crashing and the other racers coming
the other way.

There are two checkpoints on the Freeway before you go under a tunnel. Get out
of the tunnel at the first exit on the left. When you're outside, you go round
in a circle, which means that you have to turn right at every checkpoint,
except for the first one. When you are facing two underground tunnels, take
the left one because the right one is the one that you came out of.

You might want to use up a Nitrous at the end of the tunnel. You will know
when you are getting off the Freeway because the checkpoint is on the exit.
Clear the point n the bending road and there is an alleyway on the right when
the bend turns straight. Go down the road on the left and go through another
alleyway that is also on the right. The next point leads onto the Freeway,
when you're out of the Freeway, turn left and slow down to make an easy right
turn to the next point that leads to another Freeway.

The checkpoints are easy on the Freeway, the only problem is that the traffic
is coming in the opposite direction. Cut through the grass and get on the
right side of the furthest away buildings. Dodge the trees and turn left at
the checkpoint. The next checkpoint is just down the road and it leads onto a
Freeway, again.

Turn left once you're off the Freeway and turn left again at the second
checkpoint on the road. Don't turn left again, instead turn down the alleyway
just to the left. Clear the point in front of you and go through that very
small and narrow tunnel with yellow and black stripes around it. Smash through
the glass in front of you and jump up a series of stairs and ramps, using
weight transfer at it's best.

Found out a little fact about this race and I just thought that I'd tell you
lot about it. You only have 5.30 to finish the race in. It's way too much time
to finish the race in so I wouldn't worry about it that much.

Savo - Paris
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Stage III - Burn
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

This Race is in Paris and there are four checkpoints that are spread out in
the Four Corners of the city. It is an unordered checkpoint race, which makes
it really hard because there are so many different routes to take. I'm only
going to tell my favourite route and what I think is quicker than any other
route.

I think that you should start by turning right with Savo and turning at the
fourth left. But you might find it quicker to go straight, turn right at the
pyramid thing and head underground. Whatever way you go, you should notice
that the checkpoint is on the grass behind the cathedral. There is a road
behind the checkpoint, turn left on the road and straight in front of you is
some bars that lead to a jump over the river.

Do not use your Nitrous on the jump or you will fly off course. Anyway, you
should land in a gap in-between the walls. Go through the alleyway on your
left and go right up that huge red ramp that you go up in Blogs second race.
When you land and have got off of the wooden floorboards, try not to crash
into the car that is coming in the other direction. Head down the road on the
right once you're out of the set of alleyways. Follow this road until it
starts to bend. When you turn left make the first right. Follow this road and
turn left cutting through the grass just a tiny bit. Go up the stairs for the
next checkpoint.

When you're up the steps, go down the road on the left and then turn right
down a bumpy road. When you reach the roundabout, go down the road on the
right. Now slow down and turn left onto the Freeway. The checkpoint is on both
sides of the Freeway but stay on your side, it will save time. Follow the road
and turn into the first gas station you can find. This turn is quite sharp and
you have to avoid hitting the gas tanks which makes it even harder. Now go up
the ramp slowly so that you can go down the alleyway on the right without
hitting the pole. At the end of the alleyway, turn right. Turn left now and go
through the alleyway on the right.

After the alleyway there is a ramp behind some trees which you might have
jumped on Parfaits race. It's fine on Parfaits race but on this one it gets on
my nerves. If you go too fast, you fall in the river and if you go too slowly,
you fall in the river. Anyway, once you've cleared the point, get onto the
road and turn right twice. Take the third left, first right and first left.
You will find the finish line on the grass and racers will be coming from all
different directions. So use up all of your Nitrous to guarantee first place

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Stage IV - Turbo
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

This is the last race you will have in Paris, so of course it will be fun. It
takes you around the city and shows you nearly all of the jumps and alleyways
in Paris. It is a long long race with loads of sharp turns. the Torque JX
would be the better car to choose from, since you don't lose control on sharp
corners like the Saikou XS.

Get a good start by not letting the racers behind you barge you into the big
wheel. Once you're through the wheel and onto the main road, now would be a
good time use your Slipstream Turbo. The first checkpoint is in the middle of
the arches, clear it and go to the road on the left. After you go up the hill,
you will notice a building on the grass on your left, it will probably look
familiar to you. Anyway, Go into the building with all of the other racers. I
usually crash here, so make sure you don't if you want to win the race. You
will be facing a ramp, jump it (use weight transfer) and if you land well,
there will be another ramp waiting for you.

Well, you should land in a park with a lot of trees, don't turn onto the road
yet. Turn left off the park with the other racers. When you are turning left
onto the road, make sure that you avoid the bus on the right lane. Stay on the
left lane, if anything, drive on the pavement. There are a lot of buses on
this road so you might want to pop-up on two-wheels. Turn right at the next
checkpoint. This bit is tough. I'm not sure at all which way is quicker here,
so choose the way best for you.

1) You can either keep going along the road without turning and jump the
pyramid jump. (on the way to the jump a bus sometimes turns into you and it
will slow you down big time) When you land you have to go through some
alleyways with sharp turns.

2) Or you can make the first right and take the next two lefts (not through
the arches), not turning right at the checkpoint.

The next checkpoint is on a road (turn right at if you are coming out of the
alleyways and keep going straight if you're coming the other way) that leads
down an alleyway that contains the next checkpoint. Go up the ramp and you
will see that the checkpoint is on the left side of the building. Clear the
point and make your way through a red tunnel. A jump is coming up but do not
boost because you'll fly off course. Make your way through the cathedral and
turn left as soon as you're out of it.

Head down the road left of the checkpoint and jump the river. Clear the point
in the alleyway and head down the road on the left. At the roundabout, you
should be able to see that the next checkpoint (on the right) is behind a
ramp. It wouldn't be a great idea to jump it because you will probably crash.
Go around the right side of it instead. Turn right at the next checkpoint the
traffic is very high on this road, even worse it's coming in the opposite
direction.

Turn right at the next checkpoint and now make another right. The next
checkpoint is leading up a ramp into a building. Follow through the building
and turn left. The next checkpoint is on the ramp but it is really hard to
see. Turn right at the checkpoint on the road and the next checkpoint is in an
alleyway in front of you. You now have to go up the ramp you went up before
but this time, the checkpoint is on the right side of the building. Once
you're through it, you should land on some rooftops. You should find the next
checkpoint behind a small ramp, jump it. Use weight transfer on this one
because you might fall in the river.

Ending the last race of Paris, find the next checkpoint, jump the river, land
through the arches, go up the bumpy road on the right, clear the checkpoint
and finally use up all of your Nitrous to get to the finish line. There you
have it, the last race of the best city is over. Just to go a little further,
try and beat my best time of 3.47. time to move on to Los Angeles.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Stage V - Traction
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

This is an unordered checkpoint race with a lot of sharp turns. And to make it
even harder, it's raining, that means that the road is slippery to. There are
about a million different routes to take to win this race. It will take
forever for me to tell you all of them. Therefore I am only going to tell you
the way that I beat the race in.

Start with a Slipstream Turbo to take an early lead and turn right onto the
freeway (the first one you come to). Follow the Freeway until you clear the
second point, turn right onto a circular road. Straight after you clear the
next point, make a real sharp turn right onto another circular road. You are
on the wrong side of the road now but it doesn't matter. Exit the Freeway the
first chance you get and turn left.

Now, clear the point in front of you and make the second left, use your
handbrake on this turn so that you don't fall in the Dam. Make the next two
left turns and the next checkpoint is on the same road. After you have crossed
the bridge, make the second right and smash through the glass to cut the
corner.

Follow this road until you have to jump the Dam (use weight transfer). When
you land, make the first left once you've cleared the checkpoint and make the
first left again. Turn right now and try not to fall into the Dam. Make the
next two right turns and now turn left. Clear the point and go to the very end
of the road and make a left onto the Freeway. Get off the Freeway as soon as
you can. Turn left once you're off of it and head down the alleyway in front
of you. Turn left once you're out of it.

Make the first left and you should hear some sirens coming from behind you,
ignore them, don't panic. Turn left and then right now. You're on a long road
now so you might want to use up a Nitrous. Avoid traffic on this road and keep
control of your car. You might want to practice going through this road a
couple of times. Turn right with the other racers and make the first left. The
next checkpoint is right in front of you, but you have to jump down to get it.
Once you have got it, head up the hill on your left.

Once you have gone up the hill and have cleared the checkpoint, somewhere on
the right is a diagonal road, use your Nitrous here. Clear the point in front
of you and try not to cut through the grass because you might crash into the
rocks. Just keep to the main roads and play it safe. The rest is easy. You
just have to make a series of left turns and the finish line is in a car park.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Stage VI - Apex
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Ok, the last race of the game, you're finally there, no point of giving up now
is there, just one more race...Apex. Come to think of it, this race is quite
easy, just long. It took me 6.41 to finally beat the champ, but I lost once
with a time of 6.29.

Zoom out of the car park and turn left with the other racers. Somewhere along
the right, past the pillars is an alleyway that leads directly to the first
checkpoint. Head straight down the road on your left and now you have to go in
and out of trees for five checkpoints. Take the second right once the tree bit
is done and try not to crash into the trees on the side of the road. Head
right at the checkpoint and onto the snake road.

Turn right as soon as you clear the point on the snake road. On the right is a
building, some grass and some trees. Ignore the other racers here and just
head straight to the building instead of going around the trees with the other
racers. Turn left as soon as you clear the checkpoint and zoom down the road
on the right. Along the road that you are on is the next checkpoint, when you
clear it, on the right is the same car park that you started in. now instead
of following the route that you went before, on the top right corner of the
car park is a huge pillar. Get on the right side of it and smash through the
glass on your left.

After you're through the glass keep going straight and the next checkpoint is
on the left. Turn right at it and make the next first right. Turn left at the
next checkpoint and turn left again. Slow down here and turn right down an
alleyway with loads of satellite things. Turn left at the next checkpoint and
make your way to the airport terminal with the other racers. Instead of going
to the higher level of the terminal, you're going to stay on the same floor.

When you turn to get to the checkpoint, use your handbrake and try and fit in
one of the gaps between the pillars. Do this because the checkpoint is in the
middle of the pillars. Turn left again and make your way out of the terminal.

Make the first right and then take the first left. Cut through the car park in
front of you and the next checkpoint is right in front of you. Make the second
left and cut through the alleyway on your right. Turn right when you clear the
next checkpoint and head through another car park. Smash through the glass in
front of you and slow down because you have to make a sharp left turn. Follow
this road and turn right at the next checkpoint. Now, jump into the Dam to
clear the next checkpoint. Follow the Dam until you notice two massive pillars
holding up a bridge, turn right through a hole in the pillar. This bit was
used at the end of Dice's first race.

Clear the point in the tunnel and, if you make the second left there will be
some stairs on the left. Jump them and head down the road on your right. Turn
left at the next checkpoint and then take the second left. Follow the road.
When you reach the next checkpoint keep following the road and turn right onto
the Freeway. The traffic should be going in your direction now. Clear the
first checkpoint on the Freeway and turn right onto a circular road.

Keep following the Freeway and when you see that the next checkpoint is on top
of you, turn right onto another circular road. Clear the next checkpoint and
change sides of the Freeway and head onto another circular road. Now follow
the Freeway until it dies into a road. Now make the first right and turn right
again onto the grass. It's not over yet, keep it focused. Get onto the road
and make the fourth left. Make the first right and use up one of you Nitrous.
You should find the finish line easily. It's in the gas station. Let's make
some fireworks.

You win the Veloci, you beat the world champion, and now have the
appreciation, attention and respect that you well deserve.

probably my favourite part of the game other than career mode. You can play
with your friends against each other, you can work as a team, and you can even
race against each other. This section will just give you a brief description
of the different multiplayer modes in MC2, so I hope it helps.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Cruise
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

In cruise mode you can just drive around the city of your choice and just muck
about with your mates. You have limited time. You can try playing tag if you
want to, but it's not that fun. Just relax, go mad on the jumps, find
shortcuts for races or go on a rampage. This mode is most used when you want
to show someone to Midnight Club II. You don't have to do anything in cruise,
so just knock yourself out.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Battle
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

This is my favourite setting. You can choose two different types of Battle.
Capture the Flag or Detonate. You can also choose a map. Imperial Palace,
Shibuya, Wharf or Full.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Capture the Flag
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Basically, on this one, all you have to do is find the flag on your Radar and
bring it back to the checkpoint. If someone other than you has the flag, you
just have to crash into them a couple of times so that they drop it. Then you
can pick it up again. But if you have it and you crash into a wall, sometimes
you drop it. You can also pick up weapons around the city, like Stealth. When
you press L3, you fire your weapon.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Detonate
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Detonate is just like Capture the flag, only that you carry a bomb instead of
a flag. But the difference is that instead of dropping the bomb, you blow it
up.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Race Editor
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

If you go to Race Editor mode, you can make up your own race. You can also
choose other things aswell, like: The time of day, weather, pedestrians,
opponent cars and other things like that. But if you choose Race Editor in
arcade mode, you can play the races that you created yourself.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Career
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

In Career mode you just replay the races that you played when you were trying
to complete the game. The difference is that you can play with your friends.

+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

The game was made for car racing. Obviously, you need them to win races. I'm
just going to tell you what cars are best at what. I'm also going to tell you
who you win the cars off of.

NOTE: The statistics to the vehicles were made up by me. The description
      underneath the "looks like" is taken from the game however, but that's
      the only part I didn't make up.

This is the best car in the game so far. It has good handling abilities and

This car is a Lotus Elise. It sure does look like it, but it has completely
different status. For example: The Lotus Elises acceleration is amazing, but
the Alarade's acceleration is quite poor (compared to the Lotus Elise). It is
a good car overall, but apart from the acceleration it's not a bad car.
Although, it is a very light car, meaning that it is sensitive to hits, which
might cause it to go off course a little bit sometimes.

heavy, which gives poor marks to the handling. This car has a good

THANKS TO MINESWEEPER FOR PARTS OF THIS SECTION!

=-------=
+ Moses +
=-------=

Moses is your very first opponent in the game. He is quite large with a big
head. He is quite a nice guy, as he welcomes new street racers. He is not a
very good racer himself, but somehow he uses that to his advantage. He will be
your friend and guide throughout the guide.

=--------=
+ Steven +
=--------=

Steven is not a very good racer either, and he is the second racer you meat.
He is more of a technical driver, meaning that he concentrates too much on the
cars engine and stuff like that. Because he is so clever and knows all about
cars, he gets himself into a lot of trouble with the more advanced street
racers. He talks mostly about his part of the car in a technical kind of way,
so it's really hard for any of us to follow.

=-------=
+ Maria +
=-------=

Maria is a really loud and competitive racer. She always tries to get in
first, and she looks for speed in a car, and she doesn't care about anything
else. She has an older brother though, called Hector, who is very protective
over her. He is also another racer you get to meat in the game.

=-------=
+ Angel +
=-------=

This guy thinks that he is the best and he can do whatever he can, just
because his dad is some famous guy in Hollywood. His name doesn't suit him at
all because he tries to cheat a lot. Instead of trying to win, he concentrates
a lot on cheating and knocking other cars off the road.

=-------=
+ Diego +
=-------=

This guy is Angel's dad. He is some famous guy who works on movies in
Hollywood. But when he is not working or enjoying his fame, he likes to race a
lot. He has his old classic muscle car which he likes a lot and has never lost
a race without it. He used to be a really good and well known street racer,
but then he realised that it is too dangerous and risky, so he took it up as a
part-time jobb.

=------=
+ Gina +
=------=

Gina is probably one of the main characters in the game. She is your fanclub,
and she follows you once you're out of Los Angeles. She gives you a lot of
helpful tips throughout the game, but she is really annoying sometimes. She is
always in trouble, and she relies too much on you to get her out of it. She
does play a big part in the game, and you can either like her, or hate her,
she's that type of character.

=--------=
+ Hector +
=--------=

Hector is Maria's older brother, and he has a very short temper. He gets angry
when he loses, and he's really built. He will tear you into pieces if you take
the piss out of him, so try not to.

=------=
+ Dice +
=------=

Dice is the champion of Los Angeles. He acts like he's really cool and tough
when he probably is but he shows off too much. He has the biggest reputation
in L.A and his face is on the front cover of the game, I'm sure that that
means something.

=------=
+ Blog +
=------=

Blog is the first racer you meat in Paris. He is not a very good racer, but he
works quite hard at it. He comes from London in England, and he is a DJ of
some kind. He's usually out drinking when he's not drunk.

=---------------=
+ Jewel & Julie +
=---------------=

Jewel and Julie are sisters, and they are one of your best opponents in Paris.
They have both grown up together in Paris since they were little, so they know
the place quite well. They used to be dual racers, but they were too good at
that so they moved onto street racing. Julie is the kind of girl that likes to
flirt with the other racers to put them off a bit, but all Jewel cares about
is winning the race.

=-------=
+ Primo +
=-------=

Primo is the most annoying person in the game. He used to be an F1 racer, but
he wasn't good enough at that, so he gave up, and moved down to street racing
for some more excitment. He has this really stupid Itallian accent which can
get on your nerves a lot because it is so bad. He will give you some stupid
insults, but don't let him put you off your racing.

=----------=
+ Stephane +
=----------=

Stephane has lived in Paris all his life, and he knows everything about the
roads and he is very familiar with shortcuts. He uses this to his advantage.
He has this crap annoying French accent which is bad but not as bad as Primos.
He doesn't like this new idea of foreign racers coming into Paris and beating
him.

=-----=
+ Ian +
=-----=

Ian is not really a serious racer, he just does it for some extra cash. He
comes from Australia, and for some reason he chose Paris. He is a Motorcycle
expert, and he leads the Motorcycle gang in Paris. He likes racing to show off
to his friends. He is not a bad racer, he just doesn't like it that much. I'm
sure if he spent some more time on racing, He'll be a much better and popular
racer.

=-------=
+ Farid +
=-------=

Farid comes from Algeria. He came to Paris because he is on the run from the
cops. He must of done somethin wrong because he wants to keep his low profile.
Farid is quite literally and underground street racer, as all his races are in
the catacomes, because he wants to keep a low profile. He'll turn his back on
you somewhere through the game, because he uses you to get the cops out of the
way.

=------=
+ Owen +
=------=

Inspector Owen is after Farid. He is a posh, old rich guy from England, you
can tell from his voice. He is after some documents of Farid, and they are in
the car that you won from Farid. This is the weird part. Instead of arresting
you and getting the files, he wants to race you and risk losing the files.
Sound like an inspector?

=---------=
+ Parfait +
=---------=

Parfait is the Paris champion. She used to be a fashion model, but now she has
grown older and lost her looks and her fans. She decided to take up street
racing as her full-time job, because she new that she would never be as pretty
as she was before, and never get them European contract deals. She just hates
people who try and challenge her, because she thinks that there only racing
her to get a sneak look on her.

=-------=
+ Ricky +
=-------=

Ricky got Gina into a lot of trouble with the Yakuza because she took a job at
his club, and she challenged him to a race. He took away the Vortex 5 that you
gave her from Primo, and she is in serious trouble with the Yakuza. She needs
you to get her out of trouble.

=-------=
+ Shing +
=-------=

Shing is a dick head. He owns a lot of money because he comes from a rich
backround. He acts like he is from the ghetto for some reason when he's not,
and he tries to act real tough. He hates newcomers, and he doesn't care if
they are the champions of two districts. He wants you to beat a time trial and
his friend Ichiro before he races you. I think that he does this because he's
so scared of losing his cars, money, and chicks.

=--------=
+ Ichiro +
=--------=

Ichiro is Shing's racing partner, and he is just as bad as Shing. You never
hear him speak because he's not really a popular guy in Tokyo, and he's scared
of losing Shing's money. He doesn't really like the way that Shing uses his
money, so he just gives up after a while.

=-------=
+ Haley +
=-------=

Haley has grown up in America somewhere, but she didn't really like the racing
cars and rules, so she came over to Tokyo to show off her skills. She really
hates guys who try and show off in front of her, and she really loves beating
them in races. She owns a really nice ride, which makes you wanna beat her
that much more. She is quite an aggresive racer, so expect to be pushed
around.

=-------=
+ Nikko +
=-------=

Nikko is the most annoying racer in the game. He has these dreams of one day
being the best street racer in the game, which is nearly impossible because
he's so bad. He has this horrible fashion sense, with this annoying voice. It
is actually quite funny the way he dresses.

=-----=
+ Zen +
=-----=

Zen talks so much like a samurai which is really annoying because he's a
racer. He takes racing very seriously, with a lot of serious practise. He has
amazing skills with the Motorcycle, and he owns the Motorcycle gang in Tokyo.

=----------=
+ Ken'ichi +
=----------=

Ken'ichi is one of the main heads in the Yakuza gang. He is one who is
involved in Gina's problem with the Yakuza, so you will have to deal with him
to help Gina. You should not screw around with this guy, because he has this
habbit of getting his men to kill people. He will only respect you if you play
by the rules, and win fairly.

=--------=
+ Makoto +
=--------=

Makoto is a buisnessman in Tokyo, and he earns a lot of money. He uses his
money on expensive cars, so with that money, he is able to beat all of the
skilled racers in Tokyo. He's only really interested in how skilled you are.
He doesn't really care if he loses because he has enough respect and he knows
theracing is not his thing.

=------=
+ Savo +
=------=

Savo is the world champion of the Midnight Club. Nobody has been able to beat
him, but Savo really wishes somebody would because he's sick of being the
champ. Expect to spend quite a bit of time with him once you reach him, since
he has six excruciatingly difficult races for you. He will also
affectionately call you "asswipe" all the time. Both of these factors tend to
cause losses of sanity while you race him.

10.0 FAQ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

This is just a list of all the most frequently asked questiones in Midnight
Club II. More questiones will be added whenever I get Emails. Please read this
section first before you send me an Email.

=============================

Q: I loved the two Midnight Club games, will there ever be a Midnight Club 3?

A: Well, I'm pretty sure there will be. It will be called: "Midnight Club 3:
DUB Edition". I don't know much about it, but I'm sure if you visit the
message boards at GameFAQs, you'll find out all you need to know about the
upcoming Midnight Club.

=============================

Q: How do I get 100% completion? I beat all six of Savo's races, but I still
don't have 100%! What's wrong?

A: Nothing's wrong. To get 100%, you need to beat every race in career mode,
then you have to beat all the circut races in arcade mode. It is easier if you
try the circut races once you have beat career mode first because nothing is
better than your sweet Veloci...

=============================

Q: Where is the circut walkthrough in your FAQ?

A: Well, as I said somewhere earlier in the FAQ, I have never owned Midnight
Club II, and I don't plan to. My friend agreed to lend me this game until I
completed this guide, but this game was a lot longer than we both expected,
so I decided not to write the arcade circuts. If anyone has an arcade circut
walkthrough, please tell me because I do not ownthis game.

=============================

Q: It says in your vehicle list that there are cop cars. How do I unlock the
cop cars?

A: There are simply three cop cars; LA Cop, Paris Cop and Tokyo Cop. To unlock
a cop car, simply beat all the arcade circuts in that city. So, if you want
the LA Cop Car, simply beat all the arcade circuts in LA.

=============================

Q: When I beat a racer, I start in the middle of the city I'm on. It says on
my map that there are one or two street racers. When I drive to one of the
racers, they won't race me. What am I doing wrong?

A: You don't just drive up to a street racer and expect them to know that
you're one of them, can you? Anyway, when you find a street racer, just press
L3 to flash your lights at them, and then follow them to where they want to
race you.

=============================

That's all the frequently asked questiones I have so far. If I have missed any
out, please tell me and I will add them as soon as possible.
