"A good game that is fun to play"
Ghost Recon is a fun game that you will play until you have beaten it many times. I got this game about 6 months ago, and loved every minute of the game. It has a strong story that makes sense, but has its problems.
The game environment is not very detailed. in fact, I would go as far as calling it plain. The characters are well done through. The faces are not well done though. You don't see the guns on the screen, but that's ok because they would take up too much space of the screen.
The sound is done fairly well in this game. People yell in pain when hit with a bullet or explosion. The guns do not sound real, but they do get the job done. You hear footsteps in the different types of door/ flooring. You can hear the tanks parts moving, witch is really cool.
There a times when load music starts to play out of no where, when you only shoot at one bad guy, or there is only one guy in the area. This gets on your nerves at times.
These are some of the hardest controls to learn in a game. If you have played SOCOM US Navy Seals, you will have a hard time is them. Movement and turning is opposite of SOCOM. After a while you will get used to them, and have better reaction time with the controls.
This game is really fun to play. You have to control 5 players, plus yourself. You can switch to anyone of the other players at any time, and control them. Once you know how the map works in the game, it is excellent. The AI is ok, but could have been a little bit better. There is a lot of guns to choose from, and can only be used by certain types of soldiers. 2 player mode is loads of fun to play with someone. You can play with them on missions, go to kill all the bad guys in the area, or go against each other.
Replay Value: 4/10
After you beat the game there is not much to do. You can always play on a harder mode but its the same thing.
Rent or buy:
I would say rent first than decide if if you want to buy the game. If you have a choice between SOCOM US Navy Seals and this game, get SOCOM.
