This is a ranking system guide for all versions of Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution
on the Sony Playstation 2. It can also be applied to the arcade Ver. B. A
Japanese text decoder is required to view the Japanese text.

Below is a flow chart of the ranks available in the game, and the conditions
for gaining or losing them. The ranks are listed in an ascending order, top to
bottom.

:10th kyu - 1st kyu...........................................................
  .	Ranks are gained here through experience points.
  .	For every 100 experience points gained, you raise a rank. You cannot
	lose ranks here.

:1st dan - 10th dan...........................................................
  .	Ranks are gained either through consecutive wins over same rank
	opponents, or victory points.
  .	Victory points are gained or lost each time you fight with same rank
	opponents. Win the opponent, and you get +1 point. Lose, and get -1.

:Warrior - Guardian...........................................................
  .	Ranks are gained either through consecutive wins over same rank
	opponents, or victory points.
  .	Victory points are gained or lost each time you fight with same rank
	opponents. Win the opponent, and you get +1 point. Lose, and get -1.
  .	(*)1 Guardian rank only. Also rank up immediately after defeating a
	     Hero rank opponent.
	(*)2 Guardian rank only. Also rank down after 3 consecutive loses to
	     Hero rank opponents.

:Hero - Champion..............................................................
  .	During Hero rank, you will have to win 15 Guardian rank opponents
	consecutively to gain to Champion rank. Losing to a Guardian rank
	opponent at this time will instantly demote you back to Guardian rank,
	while the opponent becomes Hero rank.
  .	Champion rank is the highest rank, and you will not gain or lose any
	ranks once you reach this.

:Pheonix - Daredevil..........................................................
  .	These are 2 special ranks in the game which are not obtainable by
	normal players. Pheonix rank is held by a Jacky player in the game,
	Napoleon (i|I), while the Daredevil rank is held by Ohsu Akira
	({) who is uses Akira.



[UNLOCKABLES]-----------------------------------------------------------------
As you gain ranks, you will be able to unlock some of the coordinates, or
outfit colors schemes, which vary among the characters. However, everyone will
get the gold  color scheme when they reach Champion rank.

Below is a list of the ranks which you will gain the coordinates.

  .	Champion
