Why can't i enter the Super high tension mode ?

i have played this game before. last year i beat the game. and i often use SHT mode.
Yesterday, i wanna play it again that game. but because of the condition of the DVD, i bought it one more DVD.
and then i started the game from new game. i try to enter SHT mode by psyche up all of my party. but when it reach 50, it says, "a state of high tension"
and then i try to psyche up it again and again (almost 30 times) but it doesn't reach the SHT yet. what's wrong with my game ?
is this different version of DQ ?
because i heard a rumor that says some version can't reach SHT mode or some version may have SHT but the main Char won't turn into super saiyan (it will still be wearing his bandana)
can anybody help me ?

When it says "a state of high tension" that means you won't be able to go to super high tension. When you get to 50 and it doesn't say that is when you should try for super high tension...NOT before then. After you reach super high tension the first time you will still only be able to reach super high tension about one out of three tries, even though it may seem like it takes a lot of tries.

Answer

What he said is correct. You cannot reach it until the game decides you are familiar with high tensiion. I believe it was 10 high tensions, and then the first time you go for 100, it is guarenteed. Afterwards, using timbrels will NOT increase the USER's tension to 100. example:
Jessica uses the timbrel.
Nothing happens.(on jessica)
