In the late 19th century, Europe was in the midst of a crisis. Unexplained
phenomena were being reported all across the continent. In the mountains,
people attacked by wolves were driven mad, becoming savage beasts themselves.
In the Atlantic, military vessels, merchant ships and civilian boats all
began to mysteriously vanish. In parts of Germany, fear of mysterious
kidnappings and dissappearences kept terrified villagers trapped in their
homes. Finally, when reports from northern Africa told of dead rising from
their graves, many believed it to be the end of the world.

The governments of Europe tried to control the situation through the use
of elite secret investigation units specifically created to deal with the
unexplained phenomena. However, all of their best efforts ended in failure.

Meanwhile, in the countryside of Germany, a man was watching the developing
situation with great interest. His name was Dr. Hans Jaeger, a wealthy
scientist whose research into electricity manipulation had made him a
preeminent figure in the academic community.

To Hans, the bizarre headlines in the newspapers were all too familiar. It
was many years earlier tht Hans came to possess a most peculiar book. The
book was filled with bizarre verses of broken poetry telling of the fall
of mankind and the dawn of an eternal age of darkness. At the time, Hans
dismissed the book as nothing more than an old collection of mythic poetry.
But now, as headline after headline echoed the contents of the centuries-
old tome, even Hans could not deny that there was more to the old book
than simple myths and legends... It was a prophecy.

Three warriors were selected for their unique balance of skill and power.
The first warrior was Logan Blackheart, a notorious pirate who had recently
lost his ship to one of the unexplained incidents in the Atlantic. Thirsty
for revenge, and longing to return to the sea, Logan agreed to cooperate
with Hans in exchange for a new ship and a chance to avenge his lost
shipmates.

Next, there was Delphine de Soras, a skilled marksman from the mountains
of France. Her father and brother were among the first killed by the
Werewolf while hunting near their mountain home. In exchange for revenge
and money to support herself and her mother, Delphine agreed to help Hans
in his battle against evil.

Finally there was Sundano, a noble warrior and shaman from the jungles of
Africa. Sundano had come to Europe earlier to join one of the government's
secret investigation units, but was labeled a savage and was not allowed
to participate. Hans later found Sundano through his government's contacts.
When approached by Hans, Sundano was not interested in money. He agreed to
fight simply to free his people from the curse of the evil Voodoo Queen,
and restore balance to the world. With the help of these three brave
warriors, Hans swore to put an end to the evil prophecy once and for all.

Hans is a scientist amd sholar who, until recently, had been a reknowned
university professor. His research on the free manipulation of electricity
had earned him recognition and many prestigious awards. However, as he
became increasingly obsessed with his research, he found himself labeled
as an eccentric outcast by his jealous peers in the scientific community.
False accusations would ultimately cost Dr. Jaeger his work and his good
reputation. However, Hans was a resilient man. Using the great wealth he
had inerited from his father, Hans was able to survive comfortably and
continue his research in private. When Hans learned of the strange events
that had struck Europe and Northern Africa, he realized that they were
more than random occurences. Based on a book of ancient prophecies that
had been left to him years earlier by and old friend and colleauge, Hans
knew that if things were to continue on their current path, the entire
world would soon be plunged into darkness. In an attempt to challenge
fate, Hans took it upon himself to assemble a team of monster hunters and
put an end to the progression of events outlined in this "evil prophecy."

Dreaded captain of the infamous pirate sip "Blackwynd", Logan Blackheart
was well known as both a skilled fighter and a notorious pirate. However,
all of that changed one stormy night several weeks ago, when Logan's ship
and crew fell victim to a mysterious rash of disappearences in the
Atlantic. From this experience, Logan learned first-hand that the ships
lost in the Atlantic did not simply vanish, they were attacked by terrible
sea monsters. Logan alone survived the ordeal and swore vengeance on the
monsters that had robbed him of his ship and crew. Meanwhile, Hans Jaeger
heard rumors that the infamous pirate Blackheart was without a ship. Using
his connections, Hans tracked down the ruined pirate and offered Logan a
new ship in return for his help in vanquishing the evil that threatened
humanity. Logan didn't particularly care about saving the world, but
desperate to return to the sea and avenge his fallen comrades, he agreed
ti join Hans in his monster hunt.

Born and raised in the wild mountainous regions of France, Delphine is a
skilled marksman and a resourceful survivor. Her father and brother were
killed before her eyes by a giant werewolf in the mountains near her farm-
land home. Seeking vengeance, she recalled the folklore of her childhood
and forged silver bullets to combat the monsters. However, she soon found
that even after selling all of her family's meager possessions, there were
far more monsters standing in her way than bullets in her guns. Desperate,
Delphine left her mountain home in search of help, promising her mother to
return after she had killed the werewolf. In town she learned of a rich
German aristocrat offering a huge reward for anyone capable enough to serve
on his team of monster hunters. In exchange for help in exterminating the
monsters that had overrun the land, Hans promised to give Delphine her
vengeance and enough money to support herself and her mother until the end
of their days.

A warrior Shaman from the jungles of western Africa. Sundano's village was
enslaved by the Voodoo Queen. Sensing the rising evil in the world, Sundano
foresaw that it was not just his village, but the fate of all humanity
that was in peril. Upon hearing that countries of the world were assembling
teams to investigate the strange incidents, he traveled to Europe to lend
his aid and represent his people. However, he was labeled a savage and not
allowed to participate. Sometime later, Sundano was contacted by a German
scientist named Dr. Hans Jaeger, who had learned of Sundano's existance
through members of the international council. Dr. Jaeger offered Sundano
anything he wanted in exchange for his assistance in destroying the
monsters that had appeared in Europe and elsewhere. Having no need for
money, Sundano refused any reward and asked only that he be given the
chance to free his people and destroy the evil Shaman priestess known as
the Voodoo Queen.

Objectives: [] Go to the Mountains

You'll start out inside Jaeger's mansion, where you can save your game.
But besides the save point, there's nothing else there, so head for the
door. It leads to the sanctuary outside. There, you'll find four different
statues next to eachother, each with a different color flame above them.
Each color corresponds to one of your characters. Speak to the the one
with an orange flame with Logan. Speak to the green one with Sundano.
The blue one is for Jaeger, and the yellow one is for Delphine. These
statues all reveal information on the game's controls. Once you've spoken
to all four, you can head down the next path in front of you.

You'll find yourself in a circle of stones, with a statue at each corner.
Speak to the one left of where you enter, and it will tell you to try an
X,X,() combo on the enemy that spawns in the middle. Fear not though, as
it's realy just a clay puppet that will not move or fight back. So, land
the combo, then pick another of the four statues to talk to. You will be
told to land an X,X,X combo, an X,(),X combo, and an X,(),() combo. After
completing each of these tasks, head off the path towards an old mining
tunnell. Approaching it will take you to the next area.

    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Trail

After walking forward into this area, your first real enemies will spawn
from the ground. You'll be facing Savage Wolves as well as Wolfmen.
You can take them out very easily with either combos, or your square button
attacks with any character. I find using Delphine or Sundano is the easiest
way, although it should be noted that each type of enemy has different
strengths and weaknesses. For example, the Wolfmen are weak against Magic,
but strong against Lightning, while the Savage Wolves are weak against
Light, but are completely immune to fire. The monster encyclopedia in this
guide details the stats of all monsters in the game.

After you defeat the first wave of enemies, you'll see a cutscene of Logan
being attacked, and Delphine saving him. The game uses this time to
introduce the compatibility feature to you. You can try it out if your
MP guage is more than half-way filled. Using Logan, hold R2, and then
select Delphine's icon to do a combination attack. The strength of these
attacks will depend on how much compatibility there is between the two
characters executing the move. As you play, you'll sometimes see the word
"Help!" above a character. If you save them, the compatibility between
the character you rescued and the player you were using will increase.

Eitherway, head on, and take out the next couple of rounds of monsters.
Also, keep your eyes on the map for a small path that heads to the right,
towards a barn. There you will find a barrell that you can smash to reveal
an HP+ item. Keep going, and defeating more waves of monsters. It doesn't
really matter which directions you head in first, as you'll have to clear
out the entire area before you can move onward anyway. Just make sure to
crack open the blue crates when you find them. One contain's a gun that
Delphine can use to take out enemies quickly, and the other contains a
chainsaw for Logan.

If you ever feel lost as to where to go, however, simply press select and
look at the map. The trail that you are looking for will be marked with a
glowing symbol. When you reach this location, you'll find an old man who
will refuse to let you past unless you kill all of the enemies in the
area. Once you've done that, he'll happily let you pass though. You'll
then be taken to the grading screen, to see how well you completed the
stage. You can then continue on to the next one.

Objectives: [] Head to the Mountains
                      [] Find the Tunnell
                      [] Find the Key
                      [] Find the Card

Just after entering the area, Jaeger will give you a more indepth look
at how the Compatibility system works. After he's done talking, head over
to the save point in front of you and save your game. After doing that,
you can head forward where you'll be greeted by more Savage Wolves and
Wolfmen. The wolfmen here are different than the ones in the previous
stage, though. They have slightly more HP but are much weaker against
Jaeger's lightning attacks. Regardless, destroy them all, then begin to
walk along the train tracks.

You'll find enemies on the train tracks as well, only there there won't
be any place to run. You can just blast your way through them with some
strong moves. Just keep fighting your way through the mobs until you
reach a train tunnell. Walk up to it to be brought to the next area in
the stage. Once going through, your objective will be changed to "Find
the Tunnell", which according to the pause menu, should be halfway up
the mountain. So, get a move on it, and follow the path. Fight your way
through the monsters until you reach a wooden bridge.

You can see spikes protruding from the wood on the bridge. Wait until
they slide down, then quickly run across them. Don't worry about the
characters you are not controlling, as they will get by on their own.
After you've crossed the bridge, you'll be up against another mob of
wolves and wolfmen. Kill them however you like, but don't be in a rush
to move on. If you head off the path to the right, near a boarded up
entrance to a mining tunnell, you'll find another crate that you can
smash. It contains a high-powered bow that Sundano can use. With this
sucker, it's one-hit-one-kill!

Keep going until you reach another wooden bridge with spikes on it. Again,
wait until they go down then run across. There you'll see a man standing
on the side of the road. Kill any monsters that are bothering you, then
talk to him. He'll tell you that he won't unlock the mining tunnell for
you unless you bring him a "Lunging Wolf" monster card. This adds a new
objective to the menu, "Find the Card." When he finishes talking, smash
the crate that's next to him to find a strong electric gun that Jaeger can
use, then continue forward and cross the next bridge, jumping over the
spike traps that are on it.

Continue to slaughter your way through the hordes of enemies, as you travel
down the path. Soon, you will come across a new type of wolf enemy. It is,
as you can guess, a Lunging Wolf. Defeat a few of them, and you should be
able to come across their monster card fairly easily. When this happens,
finish clearing out the enemies that have surrounded you, then turn around
and backtrack to where the old man was -- you'll definitely encounter many
more enemies on the way back, but that's just how this game works. Talk
to the man, and he'll give you the key for the mining tunnell. After that,
just head back across the bridge you originally took to reach the old man.
After a cutscene the stage will end.

          Objectives: [] Exit the Tunnell
                      [] Find the Mine
                      [] Cross the Bridge

Save your game at the savepoint near where you begin, then head down the
path in front of you. When you come to the first bridge, be ready to kill
enemies that will be spawning on both sides of it, then cross it and keep
moving. Enemies will be steadily spawning as you fight your way towards
the next bridge. Keep killing them, then carefully walk between the spike
traps that are in place on the bridge. The enemies that spawn on the far
side of it may make this difficult. You may want to use a large attack,
such as Logan's Bomb Cluster to blast them away. Just be careful, as the
wolves in this area are able to poison you with their bites. Thankfully,
the exit of the tunnell is not far past the bridge. Once you make it out
of the tunnell, your objective will become "Find the Mine."

Fight your way through the monsters, along the path, in this area. Keep
going until you arrive at a fork in the road. There's a bridge, but the
gap in it is far too wide for you to get across. So, head to the left of
the bridge. Fight the Rotting Wolfmen and the Venemous Wolves that are
there, then look around for wooden planks on the ground. You should be
able to find two of them. You can't fight properly while holding them, so
give them to your less-used characters, and then bring them back to the
bridge.

Walk towards the gap in the bridge, while controlling the characters who
are holding the planks, and you'll place them down to form a bridge. It's
not enough yet though, so head back to the fork in the road, at the base
of the bridge. There, you'll find a third plank on the ground. Pick it up
and place it with the others. You should then head down the path that
leads to the right of where the bridge is, fighting any enemies that you
come across in the process. This path leads to another dead end, but at
the end of it you'll find a fourth plank on the ground. Pick it up and
bring it back to the bridge, and you'll finally be able to cross.

After crossing the bridge, you'll again be attacked by some enemies. Kill
them, then bust open the crate that's sitting on the ground to find a
flamethrower that Jaeger can use. It's not too effective on the enemies
in this area, but it's always fun to see them running around on fire.
Anyway, continue down the path to the left. Keep moving in that direction,
killing monsters, until you reach another fork in the path. Head to the
left, and fight your way through that area. Eventually you'll come to
the entrance of a mine. This signifies the end of the level.

          Objectives: [] Search for Clues
                      [] Find a Digging Tool
                      [] Find the Moonshadow

There's a save point over to your right, after entering the mine. Save
your game, then head forward. The path is very wide, but it doesn't have
any curves or twists, so just defeat the enemies as they appear as you
move. When you reach two rows of spike traps on the ground, carefully
walk between the rows, then continue moving and killing until you reach
a doorway. Walk through it to reach another area of the mines.

In this room, fight your way through monsters until you reach a fork in
the path, with a blue crate in the center of it. Bust it open to find a
rocket launcher for Logan, then head over to the right to find Mucci, the
man who locked the mines in the first place, again. He'll offer to trade
a full vial of your MP gauge for some information and a "bonus item." It
may hurt a little, but do it. Though your MP gauge will be emptied, he
will tell you that only bullets made from Moonshadow will kill the
Werewolf. Even better, he'll give you a map that shows the location of it.
When Mucci's done talking "Find a Digging Tool" will be on your objectives
list. With that, head back to the fork in the path, and head back the
way you came.

Start taking out the enemies that spawn -- which will be easy, especially
if you start by emptying out Logan's rocket launcher. Make your way up
the path that you have not been on before. It leads to a room with a pick
axe on the ground, as well as a barrell that you can destroy to reveal
a HP+ item that applies to all of your characters. Once you have this
item "Find the Moonshadow," will appear on your objectives list. Now,
you will be all set to go for it. So, head back to the path that lead
to Mucci, only this time take the path that goes out to the left. Note,
that unlike the wooden planks from the previous stage, the pickaxe can be
used as an effective weapon. So don't worry about which character you
give it to.

Keep following this path, and you'll come to a fork in the road. First,
take the path to the right to find another crate, which contains a dart
gun for Sundano. Personally, I can't stand it, but it's your call. From
there, head back to the previous fork in the path, and this time take the
second path. Keep moving, all the while killing more wolf creatures, until
you reach another fork. From here, take the left. If you were to look
at the map on your menu screen, you'd see that this is where the Moonshadow
is supposedly buried. When you reach the end of the path, you'll see a
cutscene of the Moonshadow being uncovered; Mucci was correct!

After Delphine loads her bullets with Moonshadow, backtrack until you
reach the previous fork in the path that you were at -- and yes, you
can drop the digging tool if you'd like. Once at the fork, take the path
that you neglected to take before, and fight your way through the last
few waves of monsters to reach the exit of the cave. Once there, you'll
be brought to the ranking screen, and the level will be over.

First of all, Delphine is the character you want to use here. That
being said, much of your strategy will revole around her using her
guns, and you won't want the other characters wasting your MP. So,
at the start of the fight, press down on the D-Pad to prevent them
from using their special attacks. After that, you'll just have to
fend off the wolfmen and savage wolves, until you see the Werewolf
getting ready for a charge attack -- you'll know when it's coming,
because he will glow red. When this happens, back off so that you
don't get hit, then run up to him and hit him with a X,X,() combo to
knock him into the air. While he's in the air, you can shoot at him
with the square button, provided you are not attacked by another
monster. You can then shoot t him a few more times while he's on the

As the fight goes on, things get harder. The wolfmen and savage
wolves evolved into stronger variations. Also, as your MP gauge gets
low, you'll have to fight to keep it up. Try to have enough for two
attacks before you even bother knocking down the big Werewolf. Also,

After leaving the mansion, head to where the four statues holding the
different color orbs are, and take a left. Continue until you are in the
center of a circle of stones, and from there take another left. Proceed
down that path, without straying, until you reach a wooden bridge. Cross
this bridge to reach the port area. There you'll find several men that you
can talk to, who will further explain the controls of the game. Hopefully
you have them down by now on your own, however. Either way, head across
the town square, and head onto the docks. Talk to the sailor on the docks
and tell him that you want to go to the Seacreature, and you'll sail
right out of town.

On the ship, there's not much you can do. You'll be told to gather
information by talking to the passengers, but they really don't say all
that much. One guy mentions rare silver and gold monster cards, but no
one appears to know about the Seacreature. So, just talk to the big guy
on the upper deck when you are ready to depart the ship.

Objectives: [] Find the Sea Cave
                      [] Topple the Mast
                      [] Unblock the Cave

You'll start out on a shipwrecked boat, crawling with Fishmen. You can
take them out like you would the Wolfmen from the previous chapter, but
be careful, because some of these guys come armed with torches, which can
be used to set you on fire, while others carry pitchforks which they will
use to stab you. You can pick these weapons up after knocking out the
holders -- the pitchfork's pretty good, but only in the hands of LOgan
or Sundano. Just forget about using the torch completely: It sucks. Fight
your way through the monsters, onto the second, then third boat. It is
there that you'll find a crate containing a chainsaw for Logan. Pick it
up, then move on to the fourth ship.

Make your way to the mast of the ship, and Jaeger will suggest knocking
it down to create a bridge. You'll need a torch to do this. So, kill the
monsters that spawn, then run to the back of the ship, where you'll find
a railing that's on fire. Press triangle while holding a torch to cause
it to be engulfed in flames, then turn around and run back all the way
to the second ship you were on. At the head of this ship, you'll find a
cannon. Get to the cannon before the flames on your torch goes out, and
press triangle to fire the cannon, knocking down the mast that was on the
fourth ship. With that, run back onto the fourth ship, and cross over
your new bridge, to reach solid ground.

You'll immediately be greeted by some Zombie Divers, as well as a squid-
like monster. You can pull some combos to take them out, as they are not
too strong, but there's also a crossbow sitting next to one of the large
rocks in the area, that Sundano can use. After taking out those enemies,
you can head onto the next "path" of boats. It's a straight path to the
cave from there, but unfortunately it is blocked. You'll need to find one
more torch before you can continue, and you may have to do quite a bit of
backtracking to find an enemy that's carrying one, if you aren't lucky.

Once you have a torch, press triangle near the lit torch that's next to
the blocked off cave, to get yourself some fire. Then, run across the
nearby boat, ignoring the cannon that's on it, and light the unlit torch
that is on the ground on the other side of the boat. After doing that,
walk onto the next boat, and light the cannon with your torch. This
cannon will fire, and blow away all the rocks that were blocking the
cave. Head into the cave to finish up the stage.

    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Exit

The first thing you'll notice when you enter the stage, is that Logan is
no longer around. Don't worry, he'll be back later. For now, head forward
and save your game, then head forward and be ready to take out the Sea
Soldiers that will spawn and attack you. You'll encounter Zombie Divers
and Blue Sea Soldiers here as well. Just keep fighting your way through
them until you reach a spiked barrier. There, wait until the spikes
retract, then carefully jump over them. You'll have a small army of
Squidmen waiting for you on the other side. Take them out, being careful
not to get hit by their ink attacks. This attack will slow down your
characters to a crawl, and make your warriors unable to attack. This
sounds simple enough, but you'll also be fighting off Zombie Divers, who
have vicious headbutt attacks. And it's easier said than done. Just be
sure to help any party members that are in danger.

After clearing out the monsters, head forward into another cave, and
you'll be brought to a different area. Fight your way along the path in
this cave, taking a right at the first fork in the path, until you reach
a pool of water. You'll see a lobster in it. To easily take out the
crab, hit it with a lightning attack from Jaeger, then move in and beat
it up with Sundano. After doing that, you can smash the crate that's in
the water, to reveal a dart gun for Sundano if you'd like. After doing
this, head back to the fork in the road and take the second path, to
the left.

Kill all of the Squidmen and other sea monsters in that room, then head
further along the path, into another room containing a pool of water and
a crab. Slay this one in much the same way that you did the first, then
smash the barrell sitting in the water for an HP+ item. You can then
turn around and head left of the large open area that you were just in,
down another narrow path. You will of course be slaughtering enemies by
the dozen as you stroll along. Keep going along until you reach a pile
of gunpowder barrells.

Defeat the enemies surrounding the gun powder barrells, and pick up a
torch that one of them drops. You then have to head all the way back to
the entrance of the cave, and light the torch. After that, you must run
through the cave, lighting the other torches as you go, to keep the flame
alive on the one you are carrying. Yes, you could have done this before,
but I promise it will be easier with the enemies cleared out beforehand.
This way, some may spawn to give you a hard time, but it's no where near
as difficult as it would have been otherwise. When you reach the barrells
light them on fire to blast away the wall, revealing another room, with
a torch inside.

From there, you can continue on in the cave -- don't go into the room
you just opened up just yet. Just around the corner, you'll find a crate
which hold's a flamethrower that Jaeger can use. Using that or any other
methods you like, annhilate all enemies in the area, until you reach
another pile of explosives. There, make your way back to the last torch
that you lit, and using a torch you picked up off the ground, get a hold
of some fire. After that, again run from unlit torch to unlit torch,
including the one in the room you opened up, to keep the flame on your
torch in existance. Keep like this until you reach the second pile of
explosive barrells. Blow these ones up to reveal the exit of the cave.

          Objectives: [] Find the Exit
                      [] Seal the Well

Start by walking forward and saving your game, then continue along around
the first turn. There you'll face the first wave of monsters for this
stage: They're the same guys you faced in the last one, nothing new. Take
them out, then fight your way through more waves of them, as you make
your way towards a fork in the road. The left path leads to a dead end,
so just take the right, running past the spikes on the ground when they
are down. There you'll have to take out a few more enemies, including a
pair of annoying Squidmen. Kill them then maneuver your way past some more
spikes to reach another fork in the road. This time the path to the right
leads to a dead end. So, head left, kill a few monsters, and don't stop
until you see a cutscene, and you find yourself in a new area.

Here you'll meet up with Logan again. He'll be carrying a huge rock, and
will be unable to fight while holding it. You'll have to keep him from
dying as you guide him to the mysterious hole in the area. After that it
is just a long, long spiral for you to head down, fighting every step of
the way. There are a couple of new enemies (Fire Sea Soldiers and Venemous
Squidmen) that show up, but there's still nothing tough. After a while
you'll come to an area with a crate. You can smash it to find a flame
thrower that Jaeger can play with. Further ahead, you'll find another one,
which holds a machine gun for Delphine. Yoou'll also begin to be attacked
by Mermaid enemies at this point. They aren't too bad if you take them out
quickly though. Let them live too long, and they'll turn you to stone,
freezing your movement.

It's a long and hard struggle to the bottom, and if one or more of your
party members is knocked out, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the
enemies rather quickly. Stay moving, and try and make use of Jaeger's
time stop ability if you feel surrounded. When you reach the bottom, lure
Logan over to the hole. When he gets there, you'll see a cutscene and
the stage will end.

          Objectives: [] Find the Exit

First of all, walk forward and save your game, as always. After that, head
along the path, killing the different types of sea monsters. Among these
enemies are lobsters: Remember, lightning is the way to go for them.
Follow along the path, killing enemies until you reach a large pond. Here
you'll spot a path that breaks off to the right, but there's nothing over
there, so don't bother. Instead, just continue forward, across the water.
Keep going until you reach a cave entrance. Head through to the next area.

In this next area, your goal will be to put out four torches. You'll have
to be fast though, so don't linger around fighting any enemies. If you do
that, Warrior Fishmen will spawn and relight the torches that you already
put out. What to do, is first head to the center of the area, and look for
Mucci, who will be marked on your map with a blue dot. From him, begin
moving around the edge of the area, going in-and-out of the alcoves, to
find all of the torches. Run up to the torch, put it out, then continue.
Don't fight while doing this; keep moving. Some Fishmen will most likely
relight some of the torches. The area is essentially a circle though, so
keep going and relight the torches if you must. Eventually all four will
be out at the same time, and you'll see a cutscene of the door opening.
When this happens, head back to Mucci. The path to the door is right next
to him. Of course you can talk to him before leaving as well.

Jaeger will be the main player in this battle, and you'll want to
save all of your MP for him, so at the start, press down on the D-
Pad. That said, you don't want to go anywhere near the creature at
the start of the battle. See, the creature is in a pool of mucky
water, and if you step into it, he'll eat you alive. The water slows
you to a crawl, and prevents you from using specials. Not only that,
he can knock you clear across the arena from there. So instead of
jumping in, just wait a while. Kill some of his minions to pass the
time, and build MP. Once the boss starts chucking energy balls, its
on. Soon after that, he'll jump out of the water: Then he's in your
domain! Hit him with a X,X,[] combo. If performed successfully, you
will damage him and shock him. While he's shocked, hit him a few
more times, until he runs back to the water.

This strategy is the most effective one, but you need to be able to
pull off the combo correctly, or the monster will get away. However,
that's not to say this is the only way. If Jaeger dies, basic combos
from the other characters will knock the Sea Creature down -- And
while he's down you can repeatedly kick him. The down side is, that
he loves to use a spinning attack after you've knocked him down. So
while it's plausible to beat him with this method if you lose Jaeger
you really don't want to have to. It's alot more dangerous, and it

First of all, you start out in the Ceremonial cave, trying to find an
exit. This is a separate stage entirely, but it's a joke, so I'm not even
including that. The goal: Run forward. The level takes all of 15 seconds
to complete. Once that's out of the way, you'll find yourself in a new
area. Save your game once you arrive, then head forward through the area,
fighting all of your basic monsters from the sea. Cross the bridge you
come across to reach the entrance to the town. There, simply talk to a
man, who will mention a monster with stitches all over the body. When the
conversation ends, you'll be brought back to Jaeger's mansion, and the
doctor will tell you more about the monster. After that, save your game,
leave the mansion, and head to the right of the four statues outside, to
reach the first stage of the Frankenstein Chapter.

          Objectives: [] Find the Laboratory
                      [] Hurry to the Tunnels

At the start of the level, head to the right, and descend the stairs that
you come across. You'll immediately find yourself facing waves of science
experiment-turned monsters, some on four legs, some on two. Take them
out, but know that some are not effected by Jaeger's lightning based
attacks. Once you've killed them, talk to the man who is standing in the
street about to wet himself. He tells you that a monster took his son,
and that he's willing to lead you to a tunnell. After he joins you, keep
moving forward killing monsters until you reach a split in the path. You
can take a right to find a barrell with an HP+ item, but then you'll have
to turn around and go left. Kill all of the enemies in that area, then
smash the wooden crate in the center to reveal a chainsaw for Logan.

After you've cleaned up that area, head to the side and look for an
accessible street, that leads elsewhere. Head onto it, and continue
slaughtering your enemies. Keep heading in this direction until you reach
another set of stairs. Just to the left, after climbing these stairs, you
will find a crate holding an electrical gun for Jaeger. However, you are
strongly advised not to use it on these enemies... You'll find yourself
taking quite a bit of damage as well, if you hit the wrong ones. That
said, kill all of the enemies in the area, then proceed to cross the
bridge ahead. After that, it's a linear path to the tunnell's entrance.

                      [] Reunite Father and Son
                      [] Find the Laboratory

From the start, walk forward and save your game. After doing that, head
onto the large catwalk in front of you and fight your way across. There
are no new enemies yet -- just the same basic cyborg monsters from the
previous stage. After you break through the waves of enemies, you'll come
to a ladder on the opposite side of the catwalk. Approach it to descend
to the next level of the sewers. Thankfully, this is as far as Logan will
stand having the useless old man follow your group! So head forward without
him, and continue killing those monsters.

At the first split, take a left. Jaeger will point out a guard that he
tells you to sneak past. I found it more fun to get behind him with Logan
and deliver a German Suplex. Whatever. Take him out or avoid him, then
head up the short set of stairs into the next hallway. There you'll find
a crate containing a machine gun for Delphine. Grab it and use it to lay
waste to the Electric Blades and Double Blades in the room. Head along
the path, across a bridge, killing enemies all the while. You'll soon
come across another guard that you can either kill or avoid. Guess which
path I took. Continue into the next hallway, ignoring the boy wearing a
red shirt. He isn't the right one: Leave him to die.

Just past that, you'll come to a third guard. Kill him or sneak past him,
and you'll come to a small alcove where you'll find a little boy crying.
Speak with him, and your new objective will be to "Reunite Father and Son."
Don't turn around though; Keep going forward. At the end of the path you
will find a barrell holding an HP+ item for everyone. To the right of that
you will find another crying boy. This isn't Ralph. Forget about him,
as talking to him will cause Ralph to leave. Head back to the beginning of
the area, while staying close to the first boy. If you get too far ahead,
he will run back to where you originally found him. Talk to the father
to finally get him to leave. "Find the Laboratory" will become your main
objective again.

Head along the path in front of you, killing all of the enemies. When you
reach the first fork in the path, take a left. There you'll fight some
more enemies, including a new type: Exp. #37. They are larger, stronger
versions of the Exp. #25s, the four-legged monsters you've been killing.
From there, keep moving along, back towards where you found Ralph. You
will find a barrell sitting where he was, which holds an HP+ item that
should be useful to you. After picking that up, head to the next alcove
ahead, to find an exit from the Sewers. Approach it and the stage ends.

                      [] Find the Key
[] Go to the Boss Door

Walk forward and take a few steps to the left at the start to reach a save
point. Save your game, then head to the right into a pool of red water.
There you'll find some enemies to butcher. Unfortunately, you'll also
very likely experience some slow-down... Kill the enemies as quickly as
you can to fix that, then head to the left. Keep moving forward until you
reach a set of stairs. Use the stairs to reach a catwalk. Fight your
way along the catwalk until you reach a four-way intersection. The doors
on the left and right sides of the path are locked, so head forward.

You'll only take a few steps before you see a cutscene of the four members
of your party being man handled by a monster. They'll awaken in another
area of the dungeon, each in a separate room. Each room will have four
switches. You'll notice that these switches all have a marking above them:
and they correspond to the buttons on your controller! Press pause to look
at the map, and notice where each character is. You'll notice the map
also looks like a formation of the PS2 buttons.

Place Logan on the switch below the upside down triangle. Put Jaeger on
the one marked by two swords forming an X. Put Delphine on the one shaped
like a square. Finally, put Sundano on the one shaped like a circle. Once
you've completed this, the doors will open. You can then proceed to make
your way around the room, which is like a big circle, eliminating enemies.
One type of enemy, the Prototype #2, come weilding War Hammers. Defeat one
and give the hammer to Logan, and you'll kick some serious ass. Make your
way to the south-west corner of the room (as shown on the map) and you
will find a door. Unfortunately, it's locked.

Head into the corridor opposite the door. Kill the enemies that attack
you, as you make your way towards the staircase in the middle of the room,
on the other side of the corridor. Approach it, and you'll move to the
second floor. There you'll find a few disgustingly strong Chimera creatures
Stay on your feet, because if you let them hit you, they'll be able to do
some big damage. Head around the room once, and kill them, and the key you
were looking for should appear on the platform in the middle of the room.
You can use Sundano's jungle spirit attack to make this task easier. Pick
up the key when you are done, and head back downstairs.

Once you are downstairs, head forward into the corridor in front of you.
A steel grating will come down to block the way, and you'll have to fight
a few enemies -- ok, alot of enemies. Once you do that, turn around and
go for another of the four corridors. Again, steel grating will come
down, and you'll have to fight enemies. Head for a third corridor, and
Again your path will be blocked, and you'll have to do some killing.
When you finally reach the fourth one, your path will not be blocked;
But you'll still have to fighr enemies. After that, it's just fighting
your way through a few dozen more enemies, back to the boss door, that's
keeping you from finishing the stage.

The first thing to know about going toe-to-toe with Frankenstein,
is that if you try it, your ass will be handed back to you. Like
the other boss monsters, however, Frankenstein does have an instance
where he'll be vulnerable. He's a bit more stubborn about showing
it though, if the right conditions are not met. First of all, turn
off the others' attacks by pressing down on the D-Pad. Then, try
and get them to back off. While they are close to Frankenstein, he
will use physical attacks, and those don't help you at all. Once
everyone is standing far enough away from Frankenstein, he'll slouch
his shoulders, and then lift an electric generator over his head.
This is the only instance that you can attack him for relevant
damage, so don't miss your oppurtunity.

Sundano can be a key player if you keep him alive. If you summon the
forest sprit while Frankenstein's shoulders are still slouched, it
is likely that the white tiger will run and hit the beast. If you
are lucky, you may even get two or three hits in this way. This is
probably the biggest way to deal damage, and if you kill the Exp.s
as they come at you, you can keep your MP bar up, and keep the
attacks flowing. If Sundano is killed, however, you'll have to use
an alternate method. Switching to whichever of your characters has
the largest Upper stat, then knocking the monster into the air with
a X,X,() combo, and hitting him a few more times as he falls, is a
fair way to do damage as well. This method requires that you move
away from him as he gets up, however, or he may counter-attack you.
Keep at it until the monster meets the same fate as the last two.

Head forward around the first bend, and begin taking out the army of small

so this may take a while. You can make it quicker by killing the Shamans
first. If they go down, so door the demon children. The Shamans will shoot
magic balls at you, so be careful. However, once you kill them, you can
pick up their Voodoo staffs. These will prove useless to three of your
warriors, but if Sundano weilds it he'll be able to shoot out energy balls
just as easily as the Shamans can. Keep going until you reach a path that
breaks off from the river. Head onto the dry land, continuing to kill the
monsters that attack you (which now includes Horned Leopords and Voodoo
Warriors.)

Defeat the enemies around you, then head forward into the next river.
There, take a right, and fight your way along the path of water, taking
out the enemies that you come across. After walking far enough, you'll
reach a small waterfall. from there, head left onto the solid ground, and
take out some more warriors and leopords. Fight your way past them to
reach the river above the waterfall. From there, continue fighting your
way up stream. Keep going until you reach a spot with large open wooded
areas on both sides of the river. First head to the right, and kill the
Shaman that's near a barrell. Then, crack open the barrell to find an HP+
item. Then, head to the left side to find a crate concealing a machine
gun for Delphine. Use it to mop the floor with a few more monsters.

Once all of the enemies nearby are out of the way, step back into the
water and continue making your way forward. You'll be attacked by more
Shamans and Okihuzaks. As usuall go for the Shamans, and once they're
dead, keep moving. It's a strech, but if you keep following the water,
you will come to a tunnell entrance. Assuming you've killed all of the
Shamans in the area, you'll be allowed through, and the stage will end.
However, if you've missed any Shaman you'll have to backtrack and find

count it as part of this stage. Start by stepping over to the right and
saving your game at the start, then head forward. You'll have a few waves
of enemies to take out, but they won't prove much of a problem. It's just
a bunch of Ayedihs, which, much like the Okihuzaks, are linked to Shamans
in the area. Head along the path killing the Shamans until you reach a
tunnell, and you are all set. This brings you to the actuall stage.

This area is rather short as well, provided you know where to go. If you
look around the first area, you'll find large stone statues shaped like
human heads. In the first area, look for one with only its left eye lit
with a flame, and step on the portal in front of it. On the second screen,
look for one with only its right eye lit. On the third screen, step on
the portal in front of the stone head with both of its eyes lit, and then
on the last screen, step on the portal in front of the statue that does
not have either of its eyes lit. You'll be fighting enemies while you do
this, but its not that bad. You can even ignore the enemies if you like,
though it is not reccomended. When you step on the last portal, the stage
will end.

    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Exit
                      [] Find the Temple
                      [] Avoid the Guards

You'll start out still in the Forbidden Forest, but to get out, all you
have to do is fight your way along a linear path, taking out some enemies
along the way. This will lead you straight to the Dead Marsh. This area
is crawling with new enemies, such as the Demon Mask Warriors and Rotten
Zombies. They're pretty tough, and the area's huge. All in all, things
Can be a little difficult, if you don't pay attention to where you are
going. Look at your map, and head south-east from the start, until you
reach an area where Sundano points out guards that he says you should try
and avoid. Avoid them if you want, but remember that if you flat out
kill them you may be able to win a monster card. Do know, however, that
fighting those demon children in the water can prove to be difficult, as
there are many deep spots that will slow you down if you step in.

Keep your eyes on your map, and make your way to the lower-right hand
corner of it. From there, take a path heading north, and make your way
to the top-right corner. There, you'll find an enclose temple area. Head
inside, and begin to clear out the enemies. This is easier said than done
as the entire floor is covered in deep water -- In other words you can't
use your weapons, and you'll move like a snail stuck in peanut butter.
When the area finally is cleared out, you can climb the stairs that are
against the wall on the right to finish the stage. And no, you can't
finish the stage if there are enemies still alive in the room. Believe
me, I tried. More than a few times.

          Objectives: [] Find the Entrance
                      [] Save the Sacrifices
                      [] Ascend the Pyramid

Save your game at the start, then take the path to the left. You'll be
fighting some enemies of course, and there are a few that are a step up
from the ones in the previous stage, such as the Magic Shamans and torch
weilding Urustims. They're still not too much trouble though. Just keep
going until you reach a fork in the path which has stairs to your left.
Head over to these stairs, and you'll enter a new area of the temple:
The sacrifice chamber.

In this area, start by heading left, and fighting your way through some
enemies until you reach a set of stairs leading to a higher ground. Kill
all of the enemies on this platform, then look for a man who's being
crucified on some wooden planks. Approach him when all of the enemies
around you are dead, and he'll be set free. Next, turn around and head
back to where you entered the area. There should be two paths to your
direct left and rights, that lead into open areas, on the ground level
of the temple. Head through these areas, one at a time, and fight your
way through monsters, to reach a second and third sacrifice. You can
head to the far right of the area to find the last of the sacrifices.

Once you've saved all four of the sacrifices, head back to where you
entered the area, and head up the stairs directly in front of you. At the
top, you'll have to fight some more enemies, and make your way around to
the back side of the temple. There, you'll find another flight of stairs
for you to climb. At the very top of the temple, you'll find a portal.
Step into it, to finish the stage. The portal brings you to the chamber
of the Voodoo Queen, so be ready for a fight.

First of all, the outermost area of the arena is covered in flames.
Don't step on the flames, as you will take damage. Now even without
the flames, this fight is hard. The Voodoo queen will not only
summon zombies to help her, she'll summon clones of your characters!
These clones are dangerous. They have your special moves, and they
will use them. Try not to let that happen -- make destroying these
clones your top priority. However, when you do this, switch to a
character that is not the clone's character. If you attack one of
the clones with the original character that they are a replica of,
you will both take damage, for some reason. An exception to this,
is jumping attacks, which work normally. Remember that, if your
party is reduced to one living character.

Unfortunately, the Voodoo Queen's defense is just as good as her
offense; The window of oppurtunity for you to attack is unusually
small. After killing a clone, get up close to the Voodoo Queen,
and wait until she drops her guard and puts her hands over her head
in the air. She will only leave them there for a second or two, and
another clone will sprout from the ground instantenously, but this
is your once chance to hit her. Run in and do a combo attack to
knock her off her feet, and then attack her a few more times before
she gets up (Delphine's guns work good for this.) If you knock down
the Voodoo Queen fast enough, before she can even summon a clone,
you may get another oppurtunity to attack her right away. If you
get this chance, make it count. The fight will be a long one, but
you should be able to win.

*Note*: You can actually get monster cards of each of the clones in
this battle. Whether or not it is worth it, is up to you.

To get started on your journey to Egypt, you'll have to first head to the
town. You've been there three times now, so that really shouldn't be a
problem for you. Once in town, head to the dock and talk to the sailor
next to the ship. Select "Mummy" on the list of destinations, and you'll
be on your way to Egypt. On the ship feel free to talk to some of the

    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Trail
                      [] Kill the Scorpion

At the start of the stage, you'll be in a secluded area of a town. Head
forward and fight your way through the Skeletons, Mummy Cats and other
Egyptian beasts until you reach the edge of the town area. Picking up a
spear that a Skeleton Commanderr drops can make this easier. Once outside
the town, you'll find yourself able to travel either to the right or to
the left. If you head down the path to the right, you'll eventually reach
a barrell with an HP+ item in it. However to advance in the stage, you
will ultimately have to take the path to the left. So, do that and begin
blasting your way through the different desert monsters.

On this path you'll find a bridge. Cross it and continue taking out the
monsters that attack you. You'll find a crate that contains a machine gun
for Delphine that will help you do this. Fight your way through all of
the enemies in the town, and you'll reach another open area. After dealing
with any enemies that have spawned to attack you, you should see a group
of Bulging Mummies standing ahead. Head over to them and kill them, then
head down the path that they were blocking. The trail is a long one that
stretches all the way around the map, but it will get you to where you
Are going.

After heading far enough, you'll see a cutscene of a Giant Scorpion
attacking. He has his own health bar at the bottom of the screen, so he
could be considered a boss. God know's he's tough enough to be one...
But whatever. He's sitting in the sand away from you, so you'll have to
use ranged attacks to hit him. Logan's bomb is my favorite since the guns
Delphine uses may go off and hit a skeleton, and Sundano's boomerang is
always a bit out of control. You'll have to destroy the Skeletons as they
spawn to keep your MP up, and hit the Scorpion at every opening you have;
And remember to dodge his poison spray as well as to stay away from the
edge of the sand where he can hit you. The fight is ridiculously long,
but after enough hits the Scorpion will go down. You can then head across
the sand to finish the level.

          Objectives: [] Traverse the Valley
                      [] Avoid the Guards
                      [] Kill the Scorpions

Save your game, then head forward along the path in front of you. Make
your way to the bridge, as you take out the Skeletons and other monsters.
From there head forward until you reach a fork in the path. The "path"
to the right is really very short, and there's nothing over there anyway,
so just head to the left. Head forward on that path until you reach a
short staircase. Head up onto the raised path, and follow it until you
reach another staircase. Descend back down to the ground, take out any
last enemies that appear around you, then move forward to the next screen.

On the next screen, fight your way forward through the enemies until you
reach a split in the path. To the left is a wooden crate that holds a
chainsaw for Logan, but honestly, it will be useless in an area with so
many enemies. So you should probably just head to the right from the
start. Fight your way along that path until you reach a point where Logan
points out a guard in the area. You know the drill, sneak past him or
kill him; This time I definitely say kill him though, as he drops an
awesome AXe that Sundano or Logan can use.

Regardless, you'll be heading to the left, dealing with two guards in
whatever means you like, to reach another fork in the path. The area is
slightly difficult to explain, but if you look at your map, you'll notice
that you are on a circle. Take the path that branches north. In this
area you'll find a bunch of enemies (which will be easy to take care of
if you have an Axe) and a crate which contains a shotgun for Delphine.
After picking it up, head forward into an open area. You'll see a brief
clip of the Mummy before going in.

There's an insane amount of Scorpions that you'll have to kill: Nearly
100, and they come in huge groups at once, and will dive in and out of
the sand as they fight. The fight is long, and although the Scorpions are
not tough individually, there's so many that things can get tough. The
best method would be to do Wide combos,by pressing X,(),X while using
Sundano, to hit multiple enemies at once. And keep an eye on your MP bar;
Whenever it reaches half-way, switch to Delphine and use her healing
ability. Odds are you'll need it during this fight. When the Scorpions
finally stop spawning, head over to the entrance of the temple. and you
will be brought to the mission ranking screen.

Objectives: [] Go to the Main Hall
                      [] Gather the Sunstones
                      [] Destroy the Cats

The first room of the temple is rather simple. In fact, it's just one long
straight hallway. Save your game at the start, then head forward, fighting
through the enemies. There are a few new appearences, such as the Royal
Cat and the Red Bulging Mummy, but they are nothing more than higher ranks
of enemies you've killed in the previous stage. You shouldn't have any
trouble reaching the stairs leading to the main hall, which are on the
opposite side of the hallway.

In this room, head forward through the fist few waves of Skeleton-type
monsters, and descend a short flight of stairs. There, at the first break
in the path, head forward up another flight of stairs, into a room with
a crate in it. Take a moment to kill any of the monsters in the room
first, then crack open the crate to reveal the first of two sunstones
that you'll need to collect. Pick it up with someone and carry it to
the previous room, and back down the flight of stairs. Then, proceed to
the room shaped like a circle, that breaks off of the main path. As soon
as you are in, you'll be locked in, as a bunch of cat monsters drop from
the ceiling. Drop the sunstone and start butchering the hairballs --
which is both difficult and annoying, as they all jump around at once --
to open the doors of the room again.

When the fight ends, continue into the next room, and smash the crate
on your right to find an electricity gun for Jaeger. Use it, and take out
all of the Skeletons in the room, then head down the hall into the next
area. Kill the monsters in this room, then smash the barrell that's on
the floor to get an HP+ item. From there, head down the hall to the left
of where you entered, to find another room with a crate containing a
Sunstone in it. Clear the room of enemies, but just leave the Sunstone on
the ground where you found it -- you have no use for it yet, anyway. You
can then turn around and head back to the room containing an HP+ barrell,
and this time take the path to the right.

Fight your way into the first hallway in this direction to find a barell
that contains a blow dart for Sundano. From there proceed into the next
room, and proceed for a fight against a group of severely overpowered
Anubises. Your best hope of survival is to move in with either Sundano
or Logan, and get a Scimitar away from one of the Anubises, and use it
against them; Because if you let them hit you with those blades, you will
be losing health incredibly fast. Making use of Jaeger's time freeze, and
Delphine's healing will also help you a lot. Don't put down the Scimitar
though, because you'll have to go into the room and kill the monsters
all over again! Hooray!

In this room, you'll notice a wall with two glowing recesses in it.
They are slots for the two sunstones that you found earlier. So, do some
backtracking, and give each of the two stones to one of your four
characters. Carry both stones back to the wall, and you'll see a short
cutscene of them sliding into place. When the scene ends, this stage
will end.

    | | | Pyramid Tomb [5x05] | | |
    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Tomb
                      [] Defeat the Guardians

Start out by saving your game, then head forward along the path, killing
the enemies that come at you. Pick up a weapon when you get the chance,
as you make your way around the turns in the path. Aside from the damn
cats along the way, there's nothing to worry about. Keep moving until
you come to a set of stairs that lead to a statue shaped like a Sphinx.
There you'll have to fight some Anubises, which is a little trickier,
but still nothing you shouldn't be able to handle. Just get a Scimitar or
Axe from one of them, and hack away. Once they're gone, head around one
of the sides of the Sphinx statue, and jump over the spike traps. After
that you'll have to take out a few more enemies, and then you'll be all
set to head through the doorway in front of you, to the next area. Hell,
you can even run through it while enemies are still around.

Upon entering the room, you can break some barrells and crates that are
standing by the large statues, to find an MP+ item, an HP+ item, and an
HP+ item that works for everyone. You'll also find a rocket launcher for
Logan, and a bow for Sundano. The weapons won't help much, but you can
save the health restore items for use during the upcoming struggle, if
you need them. You probably will, especially if you don't know how to
handle this fight from the start. You will not be able to put down these
gods with conventional methods.

Basically, there are four statues of gods: One on each of the four corners
of the pedestal in the center of the room. When you approach one, it will
come to life. While it's alive, monsters will spawn endlessly, and the
god will follow you and attack you. However, you'll also notice four open
sarcophagi in the room: Three against the walls, and one lying on the
ground near where you enter. You can't damage the gods, but you can knock
them down with smash attacks and upper attacks. Take advantage of this
by uppercuting one into the open sarcophagus on the floor, and smashing
the other three into the ones on the walls. Sundano is probably the best
pick for this, as his attack reach is the largest. Once all four gods are
put to rest, the pyramid in the center of the room will rise to reveal
a door. Pass through it to finish the stage.

Boss: The Mummy
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The first thing you should know about your enemy before attempting
to fight them, are the attacks that they have -- and the Mummy has
a lot of attacks. His most frequent attack, which he'll generally
use in between his other attacks, is to move around in circles,
while a swarm of bees follow him. This isn't difficult to deal with;
Simply don't run into the bees. Another attack he has, is to raise
his hands in the air, and summon Deadman's Hands to appear in the
ground. While you should do your best to avoid them, they will not
do damage; Rather, they just slow you down so that the skeletons in
the area can get you easier. Another attack of the Mummy, is to
summon lightning bolts. You'll know these are coming, because he
will glow blue for a second, and then some circles will appear on
the ground. Stay out of the circles, and remain on the ground, and
you should avoid the damage. However, this is also your chance to
move in and do some damage.

The Mummy has one more attack as well: A fire based one. When he
uses this attack you have another opening to hit him. You'll know
it is coming, because he will glow red for a moment. After he does
this, two large flames will appear near him. Soon after appearing,
these will disperse into walls of flames, possibly hitting you.
What you must do to damage the Mummy, is run between these flames,
jump into the air, and hit him while he's glowing red. This will
send him to the ground, we're you'll have a few more chances to take
swings at him. When he uses his lightning attack, the same idea
comes into play. Hit him while he's glowing to knock him down, then
take a few more swings while he's down. Repeat this strategy until
the Mummy lands on the ground for Phase 2 of his fight.

At this time, the Mummy will no longer use his bees, dead hands, or
flame based attacks. Instead he will focus on moving in for melee
attacks, and will also frequently spit black mist from his mouth at
you. None of these attacks are hard to avoid, but none of them leave
an opening for you to hit him either. For that, you still have to
wait for his lightning attack, and sometimes he'll go a long while
without using it, which can be annoying. Thankfully he should only
have a quarter of his health or so, by the time he takes to this
attack pattern. Stick in there, and he should drop soon enough.

          Objectives: [] To Dracula's Castle

To get to Dracula's Castle, you'll actually have to start by heading back
towards the Werewolf area. If you forgot, to get there you have to take a
left at the four statues outside of Jaeger's mansion, to reach a circle
of stones. There, take a right and head into the mining tunnells. You
will have to fight your way through the first two stages, as well as the
first screen of the third stage, but this will be easy, as there are no
extra objectives, and the enemies are all very weak. On the second screen
of the third stage, make your way forward until you see a blue glowing
statue in the distance, then take a right. Enter the tunnell that is
over there to reach the first stage of the Dracula Chapter.

    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Village
                      [] Kill only Vampires

The fitst few waves of enemies are just the weak ones from the Werewolf
chapter, which you can take out easily. Don't get used to that though,
because when you reach the bridge that's just head, you'll start facing
much harder enemies, exclusive to the Dracula chapter, such as Wretched
Undeads and Hunchbacks. Just past the bridge you'll find a doorway that
leads to the next area. For some reason it has a "new stage" opening, but
it is also labeled as being the Cursed Cemetary, so I'll just consider it
all one stage.

On this next screen you'll be fighting your way through a village area,
with various types of undead monsters. As you go, you'll come across
several villagers as well. Supposedly, you are to defeat the monsters
without harming the villagers. Personally, I couldn't resist killing a
few villagers on purpose -- they have an awesome blood squirt effect!
Ahem -- anyway, keep going until you are out of the village, and you reach
a large treee, where you can either head left or right. Head left, and
walk forward until you see a small shack. Approach the door, to enter
the next stage: The Catacombs.

    .--.-.-----------------------------------------------------------.-.--.
    | | | The Catacombs [6x03] | | |
    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Exit
                      [] Kill the Skeletons

Start by saving your game at the start, then head forward along the first
hallway, fighting your way through the undead monsters as you go. When
you reach a large door on the opposite side, you'll be brought to the
next screen, where you'll find an old friend named Mucci. Talk to him,
and he'll give you a tip on defeating the giant skeletons. You can kill
them by hitting them in the head. This won't make much sense to you now,
but it will soon enough. So, for now, just keep moving forward.

You'll have to take out a few Gutted Vampires first, and then you'll come
across a swarm of Bats. Neither of these foes are too tough. Just break
through the groups swinging like a demon. Continue heading along the path
until you reach a fork. The path to the right will get you a crate with
a blow dart for Sundano, but you'll also be trapped in the room with a
bunch of Bats. It's really not worth it at all, considering how annoying
it can be to kill them. So just head left from the get-go.

It's there that you'll first run into the giant Skeletons that Mucci
mentioned a little earlier. They're tough, and you'll only damage them
by hitting them in the heads. Jaeger is the best for this, do to his
ability to do multiple attacks in the air, with one jump. What to do,
is jump up to one, hit it in the head three or four times to knock it
down, then kick it a few more times while it's down. Take out the first
two that you find, then approach the large wooden door that's against
the wall, and it will open. Behind the door you'll have to take out two
more of the skeletons. You can then either head into the room with a
barrell in it (which contains a HP+ item) and fighr more bees, or just
continue on through the next wooden door. I believe that is the wiser
course of action.

There's another two skeletons for you to face in the room behind that
set of wooden doors. And after taking them down, you have another choice:
Head through another set of doors, or head into the room with a barell
and some bats. The barell in this room contains a shotgun for Delphine,
and again, is not worth entering. So again, head through the wooden
doors in front of you. And though at first you may be releived to see
no skeletons in this room, as you turn the first corner you'll find a
couple of even deadlier ones -- and they breathe fire. If you picked up
a sword from one of the other ones, jumping up and hitting these guys
in the head with it seems like a decent strategy. When you kill both of
them, you'll pick up a key automatically. From there, just head forward
through the next wooden door to finish the stage.

    | | | Court of the Damned [6x04] | | |
    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Castle
                      [] Find the Gate

First of all, there is a mini-stage of sorts, called "Road to the Castle",
but being as it is so short, and there is no mission ranking screen, I
just mereged it with the Court of the Damned stage for this guide. Anyway,
as always, save your game at the start of the stage. Then head onto the
path in front of you. There are a bunch of corners in the path, but it
never breaks off into more than one direction, so there's no chance of
you getting lost. There are a few new enemies, such as the really cool
looking Fire Skeleton, but there's nothing that bad. Just continue until
you reach a gate. Approach the gate to head into the castle's courtyard,
and the start of the real stage.

As soon as you enter the court yard, you'll be put up against a new type
of enemy called the Winged Vampires. They jump around alot, so you'll
have to stay on your toes, but you can still take them down easily. Head
on through the enemies until you reach a blue crate. You can smash it
open to gain an electricity gun for Jaeger, then continue forward, using
the gun to blast the enemies to dust, while the ammo lasts. Just around
the next corner, you'll find a barell that contains an HP+ item. Grab it,
then continue along the path, to a somewhat open area.

On the right side of this area, near the wall, you'll find a crate that
contains a rocket launcher for Logan. Grab it, then wait as a bunch of
Knights spawn in the area. Unload your entire supply of rocket launcher
ammo in to one of them to kill it, then pick up the sword it drops and
use that to take out the remaining Knights.

Now, you'll actually have no choice but to hold on to one of the Rune
Swords that they drop; You'll need it to advance. See, if you look at
your map, you'll see a path at the bottom-center. Head there with a sword,
and you'll find a switch on the ground, in front of a pool of red. While
holding the sword, press triangle in front of the switch, to place the
sword into the ground. You will then have to turn around, and go take
out some more Knights, to steal there swords. You'll need four in total,
and you'll have to place one on each of the four switches located around
the red pool. Once all four swords are in place, the metal gate across
from the pool will open. Just walk through the door to finish the stage.

    | | | Dracula's Castle [6x05] | | |
    '--'-'-----------------------------------------------------------'-'--'
          Objectives: [] Find the Exit
                      [] Stop the Knights

Things get serious in this stage. You'll be attacked by Knights right
from the start, and you won't find a save point at all. You may actually
benefit by running from the Knights, since you won't have any weapon
going into the fights, but if you take one out, you'll have a powerful
Rune Sword as a weapon. So, make that choice, then head forward into
the first corridor of the castle. There you'll find a wooden crate that
holds a flamethrower for Jaeger.

The next room contains a large group of Bloody Knights, incredibly tough
enemies that make the Chimeras back in the Frankenstein chapter look like
four year old girls; And if you fight them, there is more than a good chance
that all three of your AI controlled characters will be killed. In the room
after that, you'll find a barell that contains an HP+ item, but just beyond
you'll be attacked by a group of Savage Knights, which are just as strong as
the Bloody Knights. Although you can disarm them with Wide Attacks, there
are just too many for it to be worth fighting; You'll lose too much health.
Again, it's probably best to just keep moving, and run past them.

In the next room, in the corner, you'll find a bow for Sundano. It will
be all but useless though, so don't pick it up. Head into the next hall,
and you'll be greeted by six Bloody Knights, who form on ruins on the floor.
The thing is, you won't be running past them this time, and as you fight
them, I promise you, that all three of your AI controlled party members
will be killed. That's a guarantee. What you'll have to do, is hit wide
attacks on the Knights to make them drop their swords, then place the
swords into the six ruins on the ground, one at a time. The thing is,
these Knights are so strong, that you can't afford to get hit by them.
Roll around to avoid their attacks, and plan your moves caredfully. When
you finally do place all six swords on a ruin, the door in front of you
will open it. Head through to confront Dracula.

          Objectives: [] Defeat Dracula

    .-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-.
Boss: Dracula
---------------------------------------------------------------------

In Dracula's first form, he likes to fly around the room, and send
out exploding bats. He'll also occassionally use a green beam attack
that will petrify you (Why, I don't know, as he almost never follows
it up, and it doesn't do any damage on his own.) Regardless, he has
one more attack, that being to turn into bats, and fly to the outer
edge of the room. When this happens, you have to get over to him and
hit him for damage; It's the only time he's vulnerable. At the start
it's best to hit him with a smash attack, and then get him a few
more times while he's down. As the fight goes on though, the floor
will begin to move quite fast, and you'll be lucky just to get the
attack in, as you struggle to move. It doesn't help that you will
be dodging the flaming bats the whole time, that seem to wander
around aimlessly. And no, your AI control characters will not make
any attempt at all to dodge them, so don't expect them to last. As
for which character to use, go with Sundano. The reach of his smash
attack make him the obvious choice.

The second form is very different, and if you ask me, a hell of a
lot easier. Dracula will be inside a machine in the middle of the
room, completely invincible. Occassionally, he'll toss a ball of
energy at you. When this happens, you just have to get behind one
of the six pillars in the room. Despite the bats flying around --
the non-explosive kind -- and the moving floor, it's still not all
that hard to position yourself. Every time an energy ball hits one
of the pillars, part of the ceiling will come down. When all six
pillars are destroyed, the ceiling will collapse, exposing Dracula
to the sunlight, killing him. Game over, Dracula.

Boss: Werewolf
---------------------------------------------------------------------

While he's in the air, you can shoot at him
with the square button, provided you are not attacked by another
monster. You can then shoot t him a few more times while he's on the
ground before he gets up.

As the fight goes on, things get harder. The wolfmen and savage
wolves evolved into stronger variations. Also, as your MP gauge gets
low, you'll have to fight to keep it up. Try to have enough for two
attacks before you even bother knocking down the big Werewolf. Also,
know that if Delphine gets KO'd, things will get signifigantly
harder for you. The others won't be able to do nearly as much damage
after countering one of the Werewolf's charges. So, stick in there,
and try not to let Delphine die.

Boss: Sea Creature
---------------------------------------------------------------------

It's alot more dangerous, and it
taKes alot more time.

Boss: Frankenstein's Monster
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Boss: Voodoo Queen
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Boss: The Mummy
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The first thing you should know about your enemy before attempting
to fight them, are the attacks that they have -- and the Mummy has
a lot of attacks. His most frequent attack, which he'll generally
use in between his other attacks, is to move around in circles,
while a swarm of bees follow him. This isn't difficult to deal with;
Simply don't run into the bees.

Chimp
-----
If you summon Sundano's jungle spirits many times, eventually a Chimp
will come in place of the tiger, and you will gain its Monster Card. Once
it leaves, you will randomly get it upon further summons. It is virtually
useless in combat, however.

Level 5 Combos
--------------
Througohut the game you'll encounter many statues that will ask you to
show your strength of combos. If you perform a combo that is ranked at
level three or lower, nothing will happen. However, if you perform one
that is ranked as level four, you will have it upgraded to level 5, the
highest possible.
