==Section 2 - Gameplay Tips==-------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Before starting a new game check your Key Item list. Make sure you have
these four key items: M: Wavemaster, M: Twin Blade, M: Heavyaxeman, M:
Longarm. If you do not go back to your Mutation Data Flag and head to Delta
Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. View the four .hack//Sign movies here, just log
out and come back four times. If you do not do this in Mutation you cannot do
it in Outbreak, and then you won't be able to do the Phantom quest. If you
are starting this game for the first time and have not played the first two
games, then you cannot do the Phantom quest.

--Always be on the lookout for good trades. Check your Ryu Book III, it shows
what characters you have met, what items they have to trade, and whether or
not they are online.

--Check your friends affection levels in Ryu Book IV. The max level for
affection in .hack//Outbreak is 750.

--When in dungeons always break boxes, barrels, bones, and eggs to obtain
good items. If you can find a room that has 10-12 items to break, enter
and reenter several times to stock up on items like Health Drinks, Healing
Potions, Recovery Drinks, antidotes, restoratives, and elemental items
(relating to the element of the field you are in).

--You must Data Drain to get Virus Cores. Just keep an eye out for Kite's
infection level (his picture in the Skill Menu.) If his picture is turning
yellow, stop and kill enemies normally. Kite must get the finishing blow
for his infection level to go down.

--Periodically check all of your Ryu Books to see if you have met the
criteria, to get new wallpapers, music, and movies.

--Buy a good supply of Fairy Orbs, and Fortune Wires. Fairy orbs are very
helpful in dungeons, and Fortune Wires are good for getting the better
treasures.

--Watch the Liminality DVD that comes with the game. If you put the subtitles
on you can obtain three sets of keywords that you can use in the game to get
rare items. More on this in --Secret Areas-- under Miscellaneous.

--When in dungeons, look out for Moon or Hanged Man magic scrolls. These can
not be bought in any of the stores. However they can be very handy in tough
fights. The Moon scroll will put your enemy to sleep and the Hanged Man
scroll will paralyze the enemy, so whatever you do don't sell these they can
turn the tide of any battle.

--Always save your game before going into any new dungeon. You never know
what you will run into.

--Use Fairy Orbs on the Field and in the Dungeon. This makes it easier to
get around.

--If you have not played the previous 2 games, make sure you get all 8 of the
Ryu Books. To get them you must use Data Drain, every 10 Data Drains gets you
one Ryu Book. Ryu Books provide you with your stats for the game. Once you
have met certain requirements you can unlock pictures, music, and movies that
show up on your desktop. Also if you get all 8 books you can upgrade your
Data Drain ability. In Mutation if you have all the books you get Drain Arc,
the first time you Data Drain. In Outbreak you get 2128 Drain.

==Section 3 - The Walkthrough==-----------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FYI: This walkthrough is being written as if you have converted Data from
Mutation. I don't know anything about playing the game without converting so
I won't write it that way. I will try to give tips the best I can though.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the introduction you will be on the desktop.

New Email:

1. CC Corp: The world has been upgraded to Ver. 3.02. Which includes Grunty
    Search.
2. Wiseman: Telling you he will be out of touch.

New News:

1. Official announcement from CC Corp-Hackers were the cause of the comas.
Kite will comment on this news article.
2. Altlimit information
3. Next Generation Cellular Phone

Save your game if you want.

Choose The World.

Check the boards:

1. Version Upgrade information. Talking about the new Grunty Search.

Log in to the world.

------------------
-Carmina Gadelica-
------------------

You will see a scene with Mia. Afterwards, you can wander around. If you
want to start trading go ahead. Kite cannot have anybody else join his party
yet.

--Mia will not be available to be in your party for the entire game.--

--If you have raised Grunties for the Lambda Server in Mutation you can
now trade with the Bony Grunty for a Golden Grunty and Aromatic Grass. You
can also trade with Snakey Grunty for a Silver Grunty.

--If you raised the Grunties on Theta Server, the Iron Grunty will have an
Aromatic Grass to trade.

--Check your Ryu Books to see if you can get anymore images or music to
add to your desktop.

You will receive notification that you have mail.

2. Mistral: She wants to talk with you at Delta Root Town.

Check the boards:

1. Phantom-There has been a red wand seen at Lambda Stalking Betrayed
    Nothingness.

Log in to the world. Go to the Delta server.

You will see a scene with Mistral. After that you will see a scene with
BlackRose. You will be at Lambda server when it is all over.

--Mistral will not join your party for this installment. She will not auto
level up either.--

You will get notification that you have mail.

New Email:

1. CC Corp: Sigma server has been opened, you can now go to Sigma Server.
2. BlackRose: Telling you to call her anytime.

Check the boards:

1. To Orca: Orca said there was a strange room at Sigma Chatting Snaring
    Twins.

Log in. Head to the new server Sigma.

-----------------------
-Aerial city-Fort Ouph-
-----------------------

Run around and get acquainted with the new server. The equipment shop has
pretty much everything that was considered the best in Mutation. You can
also raise Grunties here as well.

--Make some trades to upgrade Kite if you can. Be on the lookout for Cyan,
he has the Owl Crest which he will trade for 12 Well Waters (Can be found in
Earth element dungeons.) This piece of equipment has Phal Repth which heals
all your HP plus any targets nearby.

--Cyan also has Sonic Gloves that he will trade for 12 Well waters, this is a
high level medium armor. Also check your Ryu Book III, look for Annri, she
has the Airy Robes, get those if you can.

--Always carry 3 or 4 different types of weapons for Kite. Make sure the
blades have different elemental attacks, try having some for each element.

--Try to find armors with the different elemental spells, namely for Kite,
since you have the most control over him.

--If you got the Lucky Shoes in Mutation, bring these along for every dungeon.
Also do the Same for the Time Sandals.

--Stock up on Recovery Drinks and Artisan Souls, which can now be bought at
the Sigma Item Shop.

The next dungeon Kite will have to go it alone, as he cannot add people to
his party yet. Try to trade for a weapon that has a Darkness Skill, also
pick up an armor that has a Wood Skill, this will help greatly in the next
dungeon. Bring along the Blades of Bond if you got them, otherwise find a
weapon with a Thunder Skill. Also buy some Blood Items to boost Kite's stats.
If you have the Lucky Shoes bring those along as well. Save your game and
head to the Chaos Gate.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sigma Chatting Snaring Twins-Orca was investigating a strange room
Lvl. 52 Element: Earth
Virus core needed: E X 2
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Consider using the blood items to boost Kite's stats.
--Have him cast the Rig Gaem and Rig Saem spells on himself (Found on Lucky
   Shoes.)
--Always heal yourself so that Kite is at full strength before each battle.
--Don't clear the field if you don't want to.

B4
Head North through the Purple Haze for a Data Bug Fight.

You will find Balmung fighting a:

-----------------------------------------
Databugged Ironball Titan-Earth Tolerance
-----------------------------------------

Since it has an Earth Tolerance hit him with Wood based Spells for an
elemental Critical. Balmung will help out greatly as well. After it takes
so much damage you can Data Drain for a Virus Core O. After that it will be
a:

--------------------------------
Ironball Titan-Thunder Tolerance
4550 HP
--------------------------------

Now use Darkness based spells and skills, always keep Kite's HP high though,
because he can hit pretty hard. If it is easier for you, stand back and have
Kite cast spells, they don't necessarily have to be darkness, just don't use
Thunder spells.

After the fight you will see a cool scene, and you will get Balmung's Member
Address! There will be another scene and Kite will receive Key Item Epitaph
02. You will then return to Root Town.

Log into the world and head to Sigma Server.

-----------------------
-Aerial city Fort Ouph-
-----------------------

--Now you have a number of things you can do, to move the storyline onwards
you should head to Net Slum.

--The Goblin Tag Challange is completely optional and I will cover it in the
Extras section of this guide.

--I am putting these dungeons from the lowest level to the highest level.

--Now that you can add people to your party, you can start trading for
equipment for them. When giving them armor keep in mind of the elemental
status, don't give them all the same element, mix and match to optimize them
the best you can.

--Watch out for the new weapons, a lot of them have Negative elemental
attributes, so make sure you give them Armor that will counter the negative
stat. For instance the FireDrake Bone has a -20 in Water. This could put
your character with a negative Water stat, give him Water armor to make
up for that, or just don't use them at all.

--About dungeons, I recommend using a Fairy Orb on each floor so you know
where you are going. All directions given in the walkthrough are for the
quickest way to the exit, but I recommend completing the dungeon, there are
exceptions and I will point them out in the Walkthrough.

First head to:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sigma Attracting Fate Ebb & Flow-Nuke Usagimaru's Dungeon
Lvl. 52 Element: Fire
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Nuke must be in your party.
--If you have the FishSkin Twin Blade bring them along, otherwise find an
armor that has Water Spells for Kite.

If you want the Tonosama sword you will have to answer some questions
correctly. When the man asks you the questions you will be given a list of
answers head in the direction of the correct answer. So head North for your
first question:

Question 1: A BLANK earned is a BLANK saved.
Answer: Penny

Question 2: Patience is a BLANK.
Answer: Virtue

When you answer them correct head North, then go down to B2.

B2
Head North for next question.

Question 3: A BLANK in need is a BLANK indeed.
Answer: Friend

Question 4: Two heads are better than BLANK.
Answer: One

Question 5: One mans junk is another man's BLANK.
Answer: Treasure

After answering the questions correctly, head down to B3.

B3
Just head North to the Gott Statue. You will get Key Item Tonosama Sword.
Kite will give it to Sanjuro, and Sanjuro will give Kite, Secret: Reason.
Sanjuro will log out and Kite will head back to Root Town.

-Aerial City Fort Ouph-
-----------------------

Now you have some Choices:

--You can do the Dungeon that Terajima Ryoko sent to Kite.
--You can do the Level 70 dungeon where the Red Wand was spotted. This will
be covered in its own separate section, but not in the Walkthrough.
--Finish up any Goblin Tags.
--Or head to Net Slum and carry on with the storyline.

OK! Now whatever you decided to do, this Walkthrough is going to:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sigma Generous Bemused Virgin-Area invited by Terajima Ryoko who is looking
for a rare item.
Lvl. 62 Element: Water
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Terajima Ryoko must be in your party.
--I recommend bringing Wiseman as your third Party Member.

Grunty Food: Cordyceps
Enemies: Databugged House Golem-Magic Tolerence
-DD Sorrow, Alien Axe, Water Beast
               House Golem-Physical Tolerence
-DD Virus Core F, Quake Axe, Laevateinn
               Undead Voodoo-Dark Tolerence
-DD Virus Core H, Erlin's Spear, Lava Greaves
               Spin Figure-Thunder Tolerance
-DD Virus Core I, Fairy Axe, Fire Beast

Tips on Enemies:

--Undead Voodoo can paralyze your party members so use an Antidote to heal.
Also use Kite's thunder skills to take them out quickly.
--The Databugged House Golem has Magic Tolerance, so have Kite and Ryoko
use their best skills. After he is Data Drained he switches to Physical
Tolerance, so have Kite use Magic Skills.

Tips on Data Draining:

--Since you have to Data Drain, make sure that Kite gets the finishing blow
on all monsters. Tell Terajima Ryoko to Standby, if she is stealing the kill.
Also have Wiseman on Healing.

               Ironball Titan
-DD Virus Core F, Yosetu & Fuyou, Gloves of Dark

Some Tips on this dungeon:

--Save before entering.
--It is possible to complete this dungeon and find all Magic Portals.
--When in battle have Kite deal the finishing blow on all monsters, even the
data drained monsters, this will lower his Infection Level.
--Use the battle tactic: Operation Recover or tell each individual character
to Standby. This will keep them from attacking and stealing the kill from
Kite.
--Don't worry too much about getting System Error--Game Over, it is very Rare!
--Do Not Data Drain more than necessary.
--Use the regular 10 SP Data Drain, not Drain Arc or 2128 Drain.

Just head North all the way. There will be a scene where Terajima Ryoko does

return to Root Town.

Now the keywords you have left are for Lambda Stalking Betrayed Nothingness,
and possibly the Goblin Tag. Both of these will be covered in the Extras

Now head over to Lambda server. Form a party and head to Net Slum.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lamba Pulsating Truth's Core-This is where Net Slum is located
Lvl. 30 Element: Wood
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will meet up with Tartarga and he will give you a message from Helba, go
to Sigma Tested Quicksilver Valkyrie alone. Tartarga will then mention he
wants you to get rid of a data bug, that is in the back of Net Slum. You must
fight:

----------------------------------
Databug Harpy Queen-Wood Tolerance
----------------------------------

This fight is easy just hit her with normal attacks. Data Drain her for Virus
Core O.

--------------------------
Harpy Queen-Wood Tolerance
HP 1970
--------------------------

You should have fought these before in Mutation. Just issue the skills
command and let your friends clean up the mess.

After the fight Tartarga will give you Feng Shui (Earth Element +1). Head
back to root town and switch to Sigma Server.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------
-Aerial City-Fort Ouph-

If you have fought the first Goblin, log out and check the boards. There will
be a new Goblin Challange this time at Sigma Detestable Gambler's Messenger.
If you want, go ahead and get that out of the way. The next dungeon Kite must
go alone so stock up on Recovery Drinks, and Artisans Souls. Bring along a
weapon that has a Darkness skill. Head to the Chaos gate and go to:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sigma Tested Quicksilver Valkyrie-Helba wants you to go here alone
Lvl. 52 Element: Wood

go ahead and clear the dungeon of all Magic Portals. But of course, here is

B2

Use your darkness Skills and magic. If it starts spinning try to move out of
the way to avoid a damaging attack. Heal when needed. Data Drain this
monster for a Virus Core R.

---------------------------
Comad Goo-Thunder Tolerence

---------------------------

Same as above. Use darkness skills and magic. Heal when needed

After the fight Helba will greet you and she also will agree to help you with

--Stock up on any items, buy some bloods to help boost stats, and upgrade Kite
and BlackRose.
--For your third party member I recommend bringing Wiseman. But you can take
whoever you like.
--Also give Healing Items, Restoratives, Antidotes, and Ressurects to
BlackRose and your third party member. This will allow them to help out with
the healing if things don't go the way you want.

When you are ready head to the Chaos Gate and go to:

B4
Just follow the path to the doorway with the Purple Haze. Use any Blood items
to buff up your stats, you also might want to consider using some of the
items that protect against elemental damage (Burning Oils, Holy Saps, etc.).
Heal up and head through to face:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phase 4--Fidchell-The Prophet
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Issue the Skills! command, then if you brought Wiseman give him the First
Aid! command.

Fidchell's Attacks:

--First off like most phases he has a slam into the ground for big damage
attack, so try moving Kite out of the way
--He will cast spells like: Dek Do, Mumyn Lei, Suvi Lei and others as well.
These cause status effects, heal with Antidotes and Restoratives.
--Oracle: Thunder Cry--Thunder spell attack, may also cause status effect.
--Oracle: Devil Quake--Massive Earth spell attack, may also cause status
effect.
--Oracle: Ice Storm--Water spell attack.
--Data Drain: Casts pretty much every status effect on one character.
--Also there may be more but this is what I faced.

If you did not bring Wiseman have Kite be the main healer. Otherwise just
have Kite use whatever skills you like to use. If Kite gets hit with a
status effect like sleep or paralyze, issue the First Aid! command and hope
somebody heals you. If Wiseman is healing this won't be a problem but if you
notice that Wiseman has been put asleep or Paralyzed have Kite heal him ASAP.
Just keep BlackRose and Kite attacking and after some time he will Protect
Break. Data Drain Fidchell for Segment 2.

Now Fidchell has 5000 HP, and he isn't quite as hard.

Fidchell Attacks after Data Drain:

--LaRue Zot-Water spell attack. Can cause good damage heal ASAP.
--Various Status effect spells. Have Wiseman or Kite heal them.

Just have Kite and BlackRose hit him with their skills. Wiseman should still
be healing because Fidchell can still hit hard. After you do a lot of damage
he will start healing for 400 HP. But even so this should not be a problem.
Eventually you will win.

There will be a scene and then you must fight.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cubia Core-Physical and Magical Tolerance
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now this time around Cubia has two forms.

General tips on Cubia:

--Always focus on the Core. Don't worry too much about the Gomora's. The
only one you might have to worry about is Repth Gomora.
--Keep an eye on his Tolerance level. Adjust your strategy accordingly.
--Tell Balmung and BlackRose to concentrate on Cubia Core only, don't let
them attack anything else. Use Designate Target, or Operation Union Battle
then have Kite attack the Cubia Core.
--Always heal after each attack by Cubia. Even if you think you don't need
to.

Cubia's First Form:

His first form has 2000 HP, and it changes its tolerance level. Have Kite act
as the main healer. Hopefully he doesn't have to devote his whole time to
healing. Cubia has some good attacks but nothing to hard. Have Balmung and
BlackRose focus on the Cubia Core, issue the Magic! command if he has Physical
Tolerance and the Attack! command if he has Magic Tolerance. Have Kite help
out whenever he can. Once you defeat the first form he will change to his
next form.

Cubia's Second From:

His second form has 5000HP, and he is exactly the same as the first form
except he hits a little harder. As always go after the Core, and ignore the
others. Use the same strategy as the first form. Watch his Tolerance and
watch everyone's HP. Eventually you will be victorious.

OK! Now since BlackRose is being forced onto you, this should be a signal that
something big is coming up, so now is a good time to trade for armor and
weapons.

Keep in mind that the Highest level armor is the Wood Based Armor (Airy Robes,
Spirit Hauberk, Oaken Leg Mail, etc...) However if you choose to equip it
this way your characters will only be able to cast Wood based magic. This
might be okay for people like BlackRose and Balmung, but for someone like
Wiseman it can make him utterly useless. So I like to mix and match the
different elemental armors for everybody (Kite is my only exception.) Also
try finding the Cosmic Staff for Wiseman this gives him 3 different Elemental
Summons, so if you do want to give him all the high level armor, the spells on
this wand will make up for that. Remember that just because it is a higher
level does not mean it is the best, even some of the old armor from Mutation
could be helpful.

For this dungeon I took: BlackRose and Wiseman. Another good party is
Balmung and BlackRose. Wiseman in some cases will have a hard time surviving
some of the bosses attacks, so you might want to consider Balmung. However
Wiseman keeps your party healed very well. So you might just want to consider
stocking Kite up with Resurrects and Artisans Souls.

Stock up on items like Recovery Drinks, Artisans Souls, Resurrects, Antidotes,
and Restoratives. Give some to the other two party members as well. Also buy
some Bloods to increase your stats, and maybe even some Speed Charms.

This is what my characters looked like before heading into the dungeon:

Kite:
Owl Crest
Spirit Hauberk
Cats Gloves
Time Sandals/Lucky Shoes (Bring both)

Weapons for Kite:
Two Together
Shin
Stealth Blades
Sora's Blades

BlackRose:
Dreams of Yore
Owl Crest
Tree Beast
Fire Hands
Oaken Leg Mail

Wiseman:
Cosmic Staff
Owl Crest
Airy Robes
Hunting Guard
Oaken Greaves

Now go to:

BreakWater will be carried out.

Data Draining one for the Two Together TwinBlade weapon, this weapon has a
summon spell called Lanceor Ch. This is a great spell to take out those
Darkness enemies quickly. I recommend this one highly!
--For the Lich Enemies use the Splinter Splash skill found on the Shin
TwinBlade, if you are up against 2 or 3 of them you can have Kite stand in the
middle of them and use Splinter Splash, he should be able to kill them all
with that skill.
--Hand of God enemies hit hard have Wiseman healing constantly. You can
Data Drain these for the Last Tess, a rare weapon for your Long Arm.

Kite's Lucky Shoes to cast Rig Geam and Rig Saem on everybody.

After some talking you must fight:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phase 5--Gorre-The Machinator
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gorre's Attacks:

Dek Do-Slows your characters down.
Creeping Murder-Fire Attack. Has a small radius, damage roughly 250-500 HP.
Also hits any characters nearby.
Blade of Scheme-Attack that hits all characters in range. It hits for big
damage.
Flare of Conspiracy-Electric Attack against one person.
Data Drain-Casts all status effects, and Life Drain.
Mumyn Lei-Puts character to sleep.
Miu Lei-Charms one character.

Have Wiseman be on First Aid! right at the beginning. Gorre has two heads,
one has a Magical Tolerance, and the other has a Physical Tolerance. Pick
whichever one you want (I go with the Magic Tolerance side.) Have BlackRose
attack whichever one that Kite goes after by picking Operation Union Battle.
If you brought Balmung instead of Wiseman, have Balmung and BlackRose attack
the Head with Magic Tolerance by using Designate target. Have Kite do the
healing. (You don't need to attack both heads only attack one, their HP is
connected to each other.)

Gorre has many attacks, and these attacks can hurt! So be careful. He has an
attack where he spins and hits the ground really hard and hurts your party
hard as well. If you see this try running away, you can also issue the
Operation Follow me so that your teammates will follow you out of harms way,
however I found this bothersome. He has an electric attack that can kill
Wiseman instantly, so get ready to resurrect and give him Artisan Souls so he
can continue healing. Also watch Wiseman's Status, make sure he isn't
paralyzed or sleeping, heal him ASAP. Creeping Murder, Blade of Scheme, and
Flare of Conspiracy all can do big damage, make sure Wiseman is healing. Also
make sure that you use a Speed Charm on Kite and BlackRose, since Gorre can
run pretty quickly.

Have BlackRose and Kite attack the Magical Tolerance head, use Kite's best
skills, whatever you like using for Kite. After you do enough damage you will
be able to Data Drain him. DD for Virus Core V.

Gorre's Attacks after Data Drain:

Suvi Lei-Paralyzes a character.
PheGan Rom-Earth attack
PheVak Rom-Fire Attack
Miu Lei-Charms a character.

Now he has 6000HP. Have Kite issue the Attack! command and keep Wiseman
healing. Use your favorite skill for Kite, you don't need to worry about
SP now, so use it over and over if you want. After you have done so much
damage Gorre will start to heal himself. But as long as Kite and BlackRose
keep hitting him that shouldn't be a problem. Keep at it and you will win.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Congrats! You have just beaten Gorre and the game.

After the Ending Credits you will receive Image 57-66. You will be asked to

For the Bonus Dungeon if you are the type of person that likes to collect

----------------------------
Black Death-Magic Tolerance
HP 9999
----------------------------

If you don't care about getting every item in the game go ahead and use your
best physical attacks to defeat Black Death, and put Wiseman on healing.

If you do care then read on:

Here's the problem with Black Death, he can be Data Drained for a Rare Twin
Blade Weapon, however he can only be Data Drained by using Magical Attacks,
and he has a Magical Tolerance. So here is a strategy you can use:

Run up to Black Death so that Balmung will go up and fight him, then stop and
get Kite out of Black Death's range. (This way only Balmung will get hit by
his attacks.) Then tell Balmung to Standby. You can put Wiseman to healing
if you want (I only brought him because he won't run up to the enemy and start
attacking). Have Kite cast a Beast Bane on Black Death, this will cancel out
his Magic Tolerance (this may take more than one Beast Bane, sometimes it can
be tough to break his tolerance, other times you may get it on your first
try.) Okay once that is done start using your high level magic (I used the
Summon Spell Lanceor Ch). Now this will take a while because of Black Death's
high HP. If you want you can have Wiseman help you, just use Designate Skill
and pick the spell you want him to use. However you want to keep Balmung
alive so it might be best to keep Wiseman healing. Also you may need to use
another Beast Bane when the first one wears off.

Eventually you will be able to Protect Break Black Death. Data Drain him for
the Golden Yasha. After that he will be a Little Doggie, so just give him a
smack!

After defeating Black Death, you will receive Images #67-76.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well that is it for the Walkthrough. Go ahead and do any of the extras that
you want. I recommend doing the .hack//Sign Phantom Quest in its entirety,
you get some great items. Well good luck and get ready for the next

==Section 5 - Goblin Tag==----------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During the Course of the game 5 Goblins will challange Kite to play "Tag" with
them. These challanges will always appear on the Message Board. So always
check there to see if you are getting a new challange. You can only get
access to these Tag Challanges if you have beaten all 5 Goblins in Infection
and Mutation. So make sure you finish those up first (you can do this in
Outbreak.) Also you need to beat these five Goblins in Outbreak to get the
challanges in Quarantine. So you might as well get it all finished up now!
Now here ya go, Good Luck to you!

Note: The fields where the Tag challanges take place are also good for
stocking up on Grunty Food items. So use this to your advantage.

Tag Challange #11 at:

--------------------------------------
Sigma Detestable Gambler's Sunny Demon
Lvl. 52 Element: Fire
--------------------------------------

Grunty Food: Twilight Onion

You will have to fight 3 versions of Stehoney T. Now this guy is pretty fast
but he is nothing compared to what you will face after him. Cast a Speed
Charm on yourself. If you can, try to focus on one Goblin at a time, use
skills or normal attacks. I have found that using Magic always misses. When
you get the Goblin down to about half HP his two friends will start to heal
him for 150HP each, so try to be quick about it. You can try separating them
but that can be tricky. Just keep at it and don't give up, but you do have
the right to get frustrated, I know I did! Also you might want to try
fighting them in First Person View, I found that I hit them more often when I
did, however this can be confusing and you can lose the Goblins easily. When
you win (and you will) he will give you Goblin Cap S.

After beating Stehoney T, Log out and check the boards, there will be another
Tag Challange, at Sigma Detestable Gambler's Messenger.

Tag Challange #12 at:

------------------------------------
Sigma Detestable Gambler's Messenger
Lvl. 52 Element: Water
------------------------------------

Grunty Food: White Cherry

You are up against 3 Versions of Jonue T. This guy is similar to the 1st guy
but faster. The Goblins will heal each other for 150HP as well. Cast a speed
Charm on yourself. I used the skill Saber Dance found on Sora's Blades.
Magic always seems to miss, although I've heard that some Lv.3 Spells may
work. If you are using Sora's Blades don't count on them to get the Death
ability, it never worked for me (although that would have been nice.) Just
persevere you will make it, again you have the right to get frustated, but
please don't hurt anyone! For beating him you will get Goblin Mail S.

After beating the required dungeon that you have to go to with Piros there
will be another tag challange on the boards. It is at Sigma Detestable
Gambler's Scent.

Tag Challange #13 at:

--------------------------------
Sigma Detestable Gambler's Scent
Lvl. 54 Element: Water
--------------------------------

Grunty Food: White Cherry

You are up against Zyan T. These guys can heal themselves for 150 HP at a
time. They can also Curse you, so bring along restoratives. Also bring along
a good supply of Speed Charms. Okay now that being said these guys are fast,
in my opinion these guys are the hardest, because they don't seem to have a
weakness. My advice go after one at a time, just follow them and don't let
them go. It may also help to go into 1st Person View, however this can be
confusing, so only do it if you know what you are doing. Once you get rid of
one its slightly easier, however it isn't that easy. I'm sorry I don't have
good advice for this one, but remember don't get too frustrated (your PS2
controller is your friend!) After you beat them you will get Goblin Gloves
S.

After you beat Zyan T. there will be another challange on the Boards at Sigma
Detestable Gambler's New Truth.

Tag Challange #14:

------------------------------------
Sigma Detestable Gambler's New Truth
Lvl. 56 Element: Water
------------------------------------

Grunty Food: Mushroom

Albert T is your next opponent. As always there are three of them. They will
cast a magic attack at Kite that can hurt his HP, it also can freeze Kite so
that the Goblin that you are chasing can get farther away while you sit there
doing nothing! As far as I know they don't heal each other. However lucky for
you this guy can be put to sleep, by either using Moon scrolls or the
corresponding spell. After you put them to sleep use Kite's Twin Blade skills
so you can take off a lot of HP. You will probably have to cast sleep a few
times per Goblin. After winning you will get Goblin Boots S.

Your next tag challange will be after beating the game.

Tag Challange #15

--------------------------------
Sigma Detestable Gambler's Gate
Lvl. Element: Fire
--------------------------------

Grunty Food: Oh No Melon

You must defeat 3 version of Martina T. She has a Magical Tolerance and they
can all heal for 400HP at a time. Luckily she isn't that hard to beat if you
know what to do. First cast a Beast Bane on her, this will cancel her Magical
Tolerance (These can be bought at the Lambda Magic Shop). Next put her to
sleep by either using a Moon Scroll or the Corresponding Magic spell (Moon
Scrolls can only be found in dungeons now, so if you don't have a lot the
Stealth Blades have the Sleep spell, also if you collected the Lady Armor you
can find the spell there as well.) Next use a high level magic on her (I used
Lanceor Ch found on the Two Together Twin Blade and was able to do over 1000
in damage! heh heh heh). Now keep in mind that the sleep spell will only
usually last for a little while, so you will have to recast Sleep. Also if
you take to long to defeat her, the Beast Bane could wear out, so you will
have to throw another one at her. Just take them out one at a time and don't
worry about the healing as long as you follow the steps above. For defeating
her you will get Key Item Imp's Cross.

If you equip all the Goblin Series S, you will get a Special Magic Summon.

Lambda Stalking Betrayed Nothingness-Area where Red Wand was spotted
Lvl. 70 Element: Water

If you are doing this dungeon at a lower level you can use any Moon or Hanged
man scrolls (or their corresponding magic spell.) to either put the enemies to
sleep or to paralyze them, this will help make this dungeon a little easier.

==Section 7 - Grunty Raising==------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grunties are your mode of transportation as you are going through "The World."
They are useful to get around on the field without having to fight enemies.
You can also trade with your Grunties for useful and rare items. And the best
part you can use them for Grunty Racing!!!

When you raise your first grunty he will give you the Grunty Flute (which will
be added to your Key Item menu). Use this item when you are in the field to
call the Grunty to wherever Kite is, and Kite can use him to get to the
dungeon without having to fight any enemies.

Each Server has 3 types of Grunties, each server is different (with the
exception of the Noble Grunty.) Raise all the different types for that
particular server and you can use your grunties for Flag Racing, where you can
win nice power-up items.

In Outbreak now your Grunties can use the Grunty Search feature. They can
now search for Magic Portals, Dungeons, and Grunty Food. Each grunty on a
particular server can do one of these searches.

==Racing Tips for Sigma Server==

Here are a few things I've noticed when racing on the Sigma Server:

1. Use the Aqua Grunty, this grunty can beat Balmung's time. I used the Aqua
Grunty to hit 1st place three times. The Milky Grunty is faster however
her control is horrible. So it is best to practice with Aqua and then try
using Milky (I never got used to using her though.)
2. Get the flags in this order: Red, Purple, Green.
3. At the very beginning of the race take a hard left right away. Try
sliding into the flags to save time.
4. On the way to the purple flag, take the pathway that goes past the
    recorder, not the Noble Grunty.

That's all the tips I have, mostly you just have to keep practicing and never
give up.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

==Grunty Racing Tips for Lambda and Theta Server==

1. The best choice on Grunty racing is to choose the Iron grunty on the Theta
Server and the Bony Grunty on the Lambda server.

2. The best order to grab flags is:

    Theta race: Green, Red, Purple
    Lambda race: Purple, Red, Green

3. A good way to race is to run close to the first flag, and start going the
other way. This way your grunty will "slide" to the flag.

4. To get the 2nd place Grunties use Poison, or Snakey Grunties. They will
not have as much speed as the Iron or Bony but they have really good
traction and it is good practice before using the faster ones (it's
possible to get 1st place with them, but you have to be really good at
    racing.

5. The Iron and Bony grunties are for getting first. When trying to get
first place and you have had enough practice, don't go all out and try to
win with the best time when only trying to get the first golden grunty. If
you do, it will be hard to beat your score, so in Theta, don't quit when
you bump into a person this could be important to getting your next Golden
    Grunty.

6. This takes time to learn but when you have to stop and do a quick 180,
immediatly press back on the analog so you're going the way you came,
press R2, and press up, this has to be done quickly and is vital to saving
    time.

7. When breaking with a fast grunty that doesn't have any good traction
(Iron or Bony), you should press back on the analog and make sure you
slide backwards into the flag and barely touch it with your tail this is
also vital to getting 1st place.

8. When turning with a fast grunty (Iron or Bony) you realize you will
have a tremendous slide, but this is normal, to make it easier, turn at a
sharp angle so you can stop sliding sooner and head forward, this is
especially important in the Lambda server.

9. In Theta you should ride on the edges of the wooden planks, this cuts
a couple of seconds off your time.

10. Don't use R2 to straighten the camera view when you're view is crooked
because it makes it so you can't turn with the analog and you just keep
going straight, to stop this you have to stop your grunty, which is a
     waste of time.

BlackRose has another Mini-Chain:

You get this email after visiting Net Slum the first time: (I'm unsure if
this is true, I'm just guessing because I forgot when I got it.)

     Email #1: At School
I was talking to my friends and I
found out that 4 out of 6 already
     have boyfriends! I can't believe
it! And yes, I'm one of the two
     that doesn't have a boyfriend,
So what? No one asked for your
     opinion.

Wait a sec...! Don't tell me that
     YOU already have a girlfriend!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK! I got an email stating that if you don't reply to this email you will
still get the response after the No Data Drain dungeon. However if you answer
with the response No.. but it's embaressing to write it will boost her
affection +10. If you respond with It's a secret she will not reply (I'm
pretty sure about this but if somebody got the reply by answering that way
please email me and let me know!).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The response to this email comes after beating the dungeon that Lios wants
you to get a Virus Core without Data Drain:

     Email #2: FYI
Let's get this straight. It's not
that I'm unpopular, you know? I'm
single by choice, I get asked out
     a lot, OK?! But unfortunately,
all those guys aren't really my type... :)
Anyway just don't misjudge me based
     on your perceptions, OK ?!
