\-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/

v1.45 1/21/04: Added IGN FAQs to the list of Web sites this FAQ is on.
v1.44 9/21/03: Modified the charts so they used only standard ASCII characters.
v1.43 8/24/03: Cleaned it up.
v1.42 8/09/02: Updated e-mail address and the Legal Disclaimer.
v1.41 8/06/02: It seems like everytime I change something, it gets screwed
up...Hopefully, I've fixed it this time...
v1.40 8/06/02: It seems like everytime I change something, it gets screwed
up...Hopefully, I've fixed it this time...
v1.30 8/05/02: Changed lots of things into charts, to make them look simpler
               and be easier to understand.
v1.20 7/25/02: Changed the format once again and fixed some errors. For some
reason, in the previous version, one of the symbols I used came
               up as all question marks.
v1.10 7/25/02: Fixed some typos, changed some of the design, added to the
Obtainable Code Name List, and added the Unobtainable Code Name
               List.
v1.00 7/22/02: Completed the FAQ. You would be wise to expect updates...

If you have a question or submission regarding the Code Names not covered in
this document, a correction, or an idea to improve the FAQ, you can contact me
by any of the following means. If you just want to chat, please don't contact
me. It doesn't bother me, it's just that I often don't have the time. Also, if
it's a question, even though you can contact me for help, you'll most likely
get a faster response at the boards.

|------------------[ VI. Standard Codenames Ranking System ]------------------|

These are the Standard Code Names. These are not dependant on Game Level. The
only conditions for these Code Names are Alert Modes, Enemies Killed, and
Continues. If you meet the conditions for a Non-Standard Codename, while
still meeting the Standard Code Name's conditions, you will get the Non-
Standard Code Name. The use of Special Items is permitted. They are in order
of worst to best.

|------------------[ VIII. Worst Code Names Ranking System ]------------------|
\-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/

These are the Worst Code Names. These Code Names essentially require you to
do terrible. The below factors are all that matter. From what I've seen, you
can appararently only acquire them on the Tanker-Plant Chapter. The use of
Special Items is permitted.

|-------------------[ IX. Best Code Names Ranking System ]--------------------|
\-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/

These are the Best Code Names. They require much more skill to acquire than
the other Code Names. You can't get any of the Best Code Names on Very Easy.

Depending on the Game Level, you can only achieve certain Best Code Names.
Here is a chart to demonstrate:

 __________________________________________________
|Game Level| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
|__________|_________|_________|_________|_________|
|Extreme |Big Boss |Fox |Doberman |Hound |

|Easy |Hound | | | |
|Very Easy | | | | |

This chart will also make it easier for me to explain the conditions for the
Best Code Names.

If this chart doesn't seem to make sense, I'll try to explain it. You have
to use both charts. Let's say you want to get Doberman on Hard. You look at
the first chart to find that Doberman is number 2. Then, you look at the
second chart, and look under column 2. Those are the requirements for Doberman
on Hard.
