A PS2 game where you can use a toaster as a weapon?

Okay, all I remember was that you can play as two characters an alien and a professor. The professor can invent things, he uses a toaster as a weapon to fight off giant plants I think, If the professor touches electrified water he gets zapped and you can see his skeleton. Also the last boss is a alien with a big head that floats around the room. Does anybody know the name of the game?

Perhaps MDK2? It had three playable characters, one who was a scientist with a toaster.

Also, for something like this that isn't likely going to be asked by multiple people, using the board would be better for a faster answer.
