FRONT MISSION 4 -- SHOP LIST
Purchase-able equipment list, organized by available sets for easier shopping.

Details:
   The lists below correspond to the various sets of equipment that becomes 
available to your two teams throughout Front Mission 4. At the head of each
list you will find information telling you when the shop will become
available to you. This information also corresponds to the shop sets listed
on my forthcoming "Bare Bones" FAQ, where I refer to, e.g., the 1st shop 
available to the Durandal as "Shop Durandal 1".
   In most cases, the equipment is sorted according to the first attribute
listed for items of the sort in question. Thus, bodies are sorted according
to the difference between their power output and their weight, which I call
"RmPow" (that is, the power remaining for further parts and weapons). The 
exception to this is weapons whose damage depends on accuracy (machine guns, 
rifles, knuckles, etc.). For these weapons, the sorting is according to the
damage they can be expected to deal with no adjustment for accuracy, which
I here list under "ExpDmg". Thus, in the 4th Durandal shop, the 24s Grayeye 
machine gun is listed above the FV-24, because its higher accuracy means
it will on average deal more damage, even though its damage rating is lower.
   In those instances in which two pieces of equipment have the same rating
for the sorting attribute, the first one listed typically reflects only my 
personal preference between the two, though I have made no concerted effort 
to make certain this is always the case.
   Weapon arms and the weapons they carry are listed with *'s. The listed
weight of a weapon arm includes that of any weapons it carries, and the
accuracy of the carried weapon reflects an adjustment for the accuracy of 
the arm. (Please see my "Beginner's Guide" or "Damage Tables" for details on
how accuracy is calculated.) Thus, although the machine gun built into the 
Gust 500 weapon arm has an accuracy of 80-75, it is listed here as 96-90, 
because of the +20% bonus from the arm. This is because the arm cannot be 
changed for this weapon, so the adjusted total is more informative. The 
expected damage (ExpDmg) also reflects this +20% bonus, thus the Gust's 
exaggerated advantage over all other machine guns available at the time.
   Whenever a set of legs is anything other than the standard 2 leg variety
I indicate this with a parenthetical: (H) for the Pegase hover skirts and 
(4L) for the Jagdhund 4 leg set.
   I recommend deleting this intro blurb, then printing one shop set per 
page and keeping the pages on hand for easy reference while playing. (You'll
have to set the left/right margins to 1" to get it to fit.) This should make 
deciding what to buy a little easier.
   All wanzer parts come with a standard 3-year powertrain limited warranty.

Key to abbreviations:
RmPow = Remaining Power: the difference between power and weight for bodies.
HP = Hit Points.
Ev. = Evasion % adjustment (wanzers must have 1% to use pilot evasion).
Move = Number of squares the legs can move without any additional skills.
Wt. = Weight.
Acc. = Accuracy for weapons and accuracy adjustment for arms (melee weapons,
       missiles and grenades do not benefit from the accuracy adjustments of
       the arm on which they are equipped, and accuracy can never exceed 99%)
DMG = Damage rating of a single attack with the weapon (number of bullets/
      shells/missiles times the damage done by each). Also the damage done by
      the airstrike of a radio backpack.
ExpDmg = Damage the weapon can be expected to deal in one attack (double this
         for weapons that can attack twice, such as machine guns). In most 
         cases, this can be increased by equipping an arm with a higher accur-
         acy. See my "Damage Tables" faq for info useful in comparing various
         arm/weapon combinations. See my "Beginner's Guide" for info on how
         accuracy and damage are calculated.
Ammo = Number of times the weapon/shield can be used without being replen-
       ished by item.
+Pow = Additional power gained by equipping a turbo pack (power from pack 
       minus the weight of the pack).
Item = Space available in the pack for the carrying of items (reloads, etc.).
Mv = Number of squares a jetpack will let you fly.
AP = Number of additional AP needed to operate a jetpack.
Repr = Amount of HP that can be restored (not counting any repair plus 
       skills) to a single part. Amount restored to each part when repairing
       "all parts" is significantly less.
Rstor = Amount of HP a destroyed part will have after being rebuilt.
StRem = Status Removal. Types of EMP status attack damage that can be removed
        by the repair pack.
Hmng = Homing. How good the missile is at hitting its target. Average is the
       worst, followed by good, and then excellent. Average will miss when 
       elevation changes a great deal and usually anything at only 6 squares
       distance as well. Good will hit most things unless something gets in
       the way (enemy is behind a tree or building). Excellent will almost 
       never miss.
Rad. = Radar range of the sensor pack when clear and when raining.
Son. = Sonar range of the sensor pack during the day and at night.
Area = Area of effect of an attack. NxN reflects the dimensions of the area
       struck by a radio pack's airstrike. N for rockets and grenades 
       reflects the number of squares out from the target square the attack
       will affect. The damage for rockets and airstrikes is constant over
       this area. Damage for grenades decreases with the distance from the
       target square.
Salv = Number of times the radio pack can salvage a friendly unit (wanzer
       with the pack must be linked defensively to the destroyed unit, with
       salvage set as the support action)
Armor = Dimensions of the area that can be given an additional armor coating.
        0 indicates the option is not available for this pack.
Sup. = Number of times the radio pack can call for a supply drop.
StAt = Unmodified % chance an EMP's status attack will succeed. Enemies can
       have resistances to this later on, as can you.
Type = Indicates the kinds of status attacks the EMP pack can make. M=Move
       (both half move and full move), A=Attack, B=Backpack, S=System, L=
       Link cut.
ALock = Number of time the EMP pack can be used to defend against missiles.
        Unit must be defensively linked to the attacked unit, with antilock
        set as the support option, and attacked unit must be within 4 
        squares of the EMP unit. EMP unit cannot thus defend itself.
