"...and I though the second one would be the best..."
Ratchet and Clank: UYA is one of those games that aren't heard of as much as games such as GTA:SA and Halo 2. However, it's in a league of its own.
This is the third of the series of Ratchet and Clank. Everything from the first and the second such as the wrench, the weapons, the armor, and characters and a few more things are now in this game as well.
Also, it's one of the few games that are multi-genre. It could be called a platformer, a FPS, a TPS, and an RPG. It's unique, to say the least. Anyway, on to the review.
* Story: 8/10
You pretty much save the galaxy (To put it quite short and not give away any spoilers) However, you'll meet some of the characters from the first and second game. Cutscenes fill you in on the details, and just like in the first game, these can be quite funny.
* Sound/Music: 9/10
The sounds are even better in this game, as just about every action makes an appropriate noise. As for the music, it seems to improve every game. It always tends to match the stage or situation.
* Graphics: 9/10
The environments have always been detailed in R&C games, and this one is no different. The animations are fluid and you can see far off in the distance. Just looking at the screen at what is going on within the game... you'll be amazed.
* Gameplay: 10/10
This is where it really shines. It plays like a action-packed game. The emenies are lethal as they are smart. If you don't play well, you'll pretty much fail. Weapons that you use level up and become more powerful against your foes. You also get armor that helps you as well. Also, there are a ton of collectibles and such. It'll take you quite a while to beat this great game.
This is one hard game to pass up. Everything that was in the second one (improvable weapons/armor/enemies/other fun stuff) has been renovated and added to this. Also, the multiplayer itself is rather well put together. Adding that and online play, you could play this for a good long time.
