    1.0 - Building Basics
    =====================
    When you are building,  pay attention to how much space is available within
    the square of land you have chosen.  If there are too many obstacles (trees,
    roads, water, castle walls) you won't be able to build the maximum 16
    structures within your facility.  Don't worry if there are a few obstacles.
    Each facility can build at most 1 large structure,  leaving ample space for
    15 smaller structures in most squares of land.
    
    Since Building Conditions are based on a combination of land suitability
    and facility compatibility, if you build a compatible facility near a land 
    square which only has fair (green)  compatibility, it will usually turn that 
    land square into good (blue) compatibility for that facility.  This can be 
    useful for chaining compatible facilities next to eachother.
    
    If structures are built on poor land,  they will take longer to build.  
    This has no effect on how many structures an officer will construct with
    a single development command.  Rather it can effect how long after the 
    development command the structure is actually completed.  While a structure 
    is being built you don't get anything out of it and its hit points are 
    halved (at least). 
    
    The structures built when you develop a facility are random.  Facility 
    compatibility and fief stats and officer POL skill can all help influence 
    what is built.  If you want to build the large structures (which you should),
    make sure adjacent facilities are compatible and your using your most skilled
    officer.

    1.1 - Speed Modifiers
    ---------------------
    The following chart lists modifiers which will decrease the base build time.
    Base build times are listed in the Facilities section.

    1.2 - Productivity
    ------------------
    The following chart lists how many structures an officer can build with a 
    single develop command based on his political skill.  This number applies
    for both developing existing facilities and building new ones.  When an 
    officer with greater then 79 politics develops a facility, development will 
    usually continue for two seasons.  That officer can still take an action in
    that second season.  Note,  building a big building like a Dojo counts twice
    against the number of structures built for the officer.

    2.0 - Structures
    ================
    In order to build a facility you must have an adequate Daimyö ranking and 
    access to a key fief. Key fiefs start off with the ability to construct 
    certain facilities regardless of your Daimyö ranking.  For instance,  if you 
    own Teraike Castle you can build a Complex at Teraike Castle even as a Minor 
    Daimyö.  However you won't be able to build Complexes at any of your other 
    fiefs until you have become a Conqueror.  If you have reached the required 
    Daimyö ranking and don't own a key fief you can still build the structure as
    long as you enter into an alliance or vassal relationship with a Daimyö who 
    owns a key fief for that facility.  Be warned if the relationship goes south
    or you lose the key fief you won't be able to further develop any facilities 
    of that type until you regain access to a key fief.  Its worthwhile to note 
    that all the key fiefs for smiths and colonies are in the west.  So if you
    are an eastern Daimyö,  get your diplomats out west.

    Below is a breakdown of the specifics for each facility.  Note that only one
    L(large) size building can be built per facility.  When a building name differs
    in game from in the manual the manual name is included inside parenthesis. Each
    breakdown uses the following format.

    2.2 - Castles
    -------------
    If you ever find yourself in Japan,  I highly recommend swinging by Himeji-Jo.
    Its one of the few castles from Nobunaga's time that has survived through all 
    the years (not rebuild like Osaka Castle), and its in pristine condition. Its 
    an amazing  sight to see and you can even climb all the way up to the top and 
    look out at the boundaries of the fief.  Its completely open for tourists to 
    paw over :-)

    If you want to build multiple keeps of Azuchi on up,  you just have to keep 
    re-declaring once per turn for each fief you want to upgrade. You can jump 
    directly from Himeji to Foreign Main Keep if you have at least 900 Foreign when 
    you declare. 
    
    (Keep Placement Suggestion)
    Although you can move your main fief around as much as you want,  it costs 
    20,000 gold each time you do it.  You will want to choose a stable location at
    some point.  The in game text suggests that you build in a fief which has a
    port, because then you can build Bazaars which are helpful for getting the 
    foreign rating you need for higher level castles.  However,  colonies work fine
    for getting your foreign rating up,  and if you think about it,  what is the 
    main bonus of you main keep?  Being able to attack anywhere from it.  So 
    wouldn't it be better to have you best military generals in your main keep? I
    always turn one of my fiefs with a hunting ground into a military academy. There
    are plenty of officers in the game with good military skill and not much else.
    Unless you want to spend time training them in other attributes so they can 
    become mediocre civil officers,  wouldn't it be better to train them to be the
    uber officers who do battle from your main keep?  This is why I suggest placing
    your main keep in a fief with hunting grounds,  and running a military academy
    at your main fief.
