"Taking Urban Fighting To the Max"
Def Jam Vendetta, the first game, was an outstanding game, although there were a few missing things. Thats where Fight for New York comes in. This game adds many new features, such as 70+ characters, 40+ artists to choose from, you can learn a Blazin move at the Gym from every character there is in the game, including a few others that the game threw in, you can use weapons, and thats only the half of it.
Graphics: 10 out of 10
You can't really argue with the graphics on any platform nowadays. Thats all I'm really gonna say for this one.
Sound: 10 out of 10
The songs for this game are great, and they have almost a song per every artists - more than a normal in-game soundtrack. The voice-overs for this game are perfect, nothing that you can really complain about.
Gameplay: 9 out of 10
The gameplay for this game is amazing, although there is one major flaw. First off, this is another one of those fighting games where if you play against another person who all he does is punch and kick and nothing else, it is almost impossible to grapple them.
Characters: 10 out of 10
With over 70 characters to choose from, all very well designed, you should be busy for hours. The Artists look exactly like they do in real life, and the voice-overs are amazing. Also, characters that were created by the game are also very realistic.
Overall: 9 out of 10
Besides the flaw in gameplay, and a few other small errors, this game is nearly perfect. The environment almost makes it seem like your in an underground fight club! The weapons break after a few uses, or after you K.O. someone, which is realistic, the walls can break, and you can team up with the crowd to do combo grapples, which can be very painful to the opponent. This game is twice as good as the first game - this game is definetly worth your 50 dollars.
