    3. Lyrics
    ----------------------------------------
These are the lyrics for the opening song:

    TAO by Do As Infinity

    kimi ga subete hanashiowari
me no mae ni wa futatsu no michi

bokura no kawari no kibou no tsue ga
    hikari no saki michibiku darou

namida wa kawaku mono inoritsudzukeru yo
haruka na kono sora no shita

    mata dokoka de omoidashite
kitto bokura mo onaji ame ni utarete iru no saaaa

    Translation:

    You finish talking about everything
In front of us are two paths

In place of you, the staff of hope
will probably lead us to the end of the light

I continue to pray for the tears to dry up
    under this distant sky

    Somewhere, again remember
that the same rain will surely fall on us
    ----------------------------------------
These are the lyrics for the ending song:

My Tales by Donna Burke & Gab Desmond

There was a song, made of sweet childhood memories
It came from a sky that was gray but now is full of rainbows
A song I heard, reminding me that we are not alone
A gentle breeze sings a song that clears my rainy sky

And then our souls are swept away, away from here
Guided by light, we sail, our hands never letting go

And we'll sing the song together, love, that I used to sing alone
How far away you felt from me, as we sought to breathe as one
Now me and you; we're like an ocean when it's shining so blue
We have seen the way to the Promised Land we were dreaming of

We will cross the bridge together now that I used to cross alone
Only Fate can know which way we'll go, so keep the faith, and carry on
And let destiny guide our footsteps (along the way)
We overcome, we keep our hope, to the faraway world of our dreams

The scent of the ocean leads me to the twilight sea
The sun's kisses turn the gentle waves into gold

And though at times we still feel pain, deep as the sea
Songbirds will carry away our tears and leave us with hope

Let us listen now to those singing birds that I used to hear alone
How far away, you felt my dear as we sought live as one
Now our two hearts, they beat as one with all the flowers around
Now we know the way to the Promised Land we were dreaming of

Let us sing now as we climb the hill that I used to climb alone
Our song will gently touch all the yellow blossoms at the top
And finally we'll find a flowered, winding road
We overcome, we keep our hope, to the faraway world of our dreams

Then the past, it comes back to my mind
With all the fears, but also all the blessings, the good times
Oh the view from the mountain top, I'm not afraid when I feel you're near
Holding your hand, holding your hand
We can hear our voices resounding
    Like mountains (singing in harmony)

And we sing the song together now that we used to sing alone
How far away we felt from here, but now there's two that breathe as one
Now two hearts shine just like some crystal blessing made up of light
Cause we found the way to the Promised Land we were dreaming of

Let us sing now as we walk the path that we used to walk alone
Our song will be a rainbow bridge to the sky, over the clouds
We will reach our goal, but a new tale will begin
We overcome, we keep our hope, to the faraway world of our dreams

    Hotarubi by Donna Burke

Oh how the time has flown by
Has it been so long since last goodbyes
You'd never guess the changes here
A subway station on our street

Remember waking up with all that noise
    Hammering and shouting from 9AM
    Calling us to begin
Calling us to our secret place
Where face to face we'd kiss

    And I'll never forget
The night when we first met
The freezing cold, the frozen air
You held on to both my hands
And asked me if I was cold
But now my dear you're never here with me
    Just like a firefly
Burns brightly soon to die eternally

Then all at once the stars disappeared
And in the distance dawn's reprieve
Broke through the darkest powers of night
So once again the world was right

And it seems so strange that I was once so scared
By dawn's cool light I was unprepared
But even though I'm feeling strong
And I've learned how to get along
I'll never stop feeling so wrong

When I placed that lonely flower
    upon your pale cold cheek
    I felt so lost I couldn't speak
When friends they began to cry
    Calling their last goodbyes
    Silence was your solemn reply
    A sacred flame burnt
upon the ocean of your soul
