What do I lose by getting the esential collection?

I here a lot about a disk two that isn't sold with this. But what's on it. Am i better off having the original, than the missing disk sustinance?

Did the side games have any unlockable content for the main game?

The 2nd disc for MSG3 includes a couple of side-games, like the Monkey capturing game and other negligible things.

Basically, 80% of the game's content was on Disc 1, the 2nd disc was only imployed cause they didn't have that last little bit of space on Disc 1. I'd go with the collection personally, espeically if you don't already have MGS1/2.

yes the 2nd disk had more Camo/ the original MSXs if you never played them for back story to unlock
