--1. Introduction--
Hi there. Welcome to the Metal Gear walkthrough guide for the MSX2 home com-
puter. It was only available in Japan and Europe until Metal Gear Solid 3: 
Subsistence in 2006 for Playstation 2, and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection in 
2011 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and in 2012 for PS Vita.

--2. Revision History--
2.0 (December 25, 2012) = Added few more dialouges, controls for the other 
systems, and character name changes.
1.5 (November 16, 2012) = Few minor changes including typos, minor trans-
lation fixes, and changed the answer to the first FAQ question.

--3. FAQs--
Q: Are you going to make a walkthrough of Metal Gear on the NES?
A: I'm sorry, but no. The NES version has jungle stages that doesn't appear 
in the original version, the stealth element is different, Hind D was re-
placed by the two guards, and the Metal Gear was replaced by the supercom-
puter that controls Metal Gear.

Q: How do I make the next call during the Transceiver screen?
A: When one of your teammates finished talking to you, push the Enter key, 
then Left or Right arrow keys, and push Up to get the next call.

Arrow Keys: Move

Spacebar: Use a weapon currently selected

To save the game, push the F1 key then the F5 key. Make sure you have a 
cassette player connected to the MSX2 and have a blank tape in it and the 
Record Button on the cassette player must be pressed before saving. To load 
the game, push the Play button on the cassette player, push the F1 key then 
the F4 key. Make sure you remember the name of the save file.

---4A. Weapons and Equipments---

Weapons--

Handgun: A primary weapon. Fires bullets in a straight direction, but does 
not go all the way across the entire screen.

Land Mine: Can be used against many enemies. Works best against heavily-
armored objects.

Plastic Explosive: Can open certain part of the walls.

Grenade Launcher: More powerful than a Handgun, it uses crosshair in order to 
know where the grenade is hitting.

Silencer: This attachment for the guns will prevent enemies from alerting 
while shooting.

RC Missile: When you fire this, use the arrow key to guide it.

Submachine Gun: This gun fires faster than the handgun and sprays back and 
forth a bit. Good for enemies at a slight angle.

Rocket Launcher: This weapons fires a rocket that can blast a target with a 
tremendous force. Don't expect this weapon to work on everything.

Equipments--

Cigarettes: This is the item you start off with. You have to keep these until 
after you defeat Big Boss.

Rations: Use this to replenish your health by selecting it and push the 
Spacebar key.

Binoculars: Once activated, push the arrow key to get a sneak peek at the 
neighboring screen. When you finish, select one of the other items to 
deactivate this item.

Gas Mask: Equip this to prevent yourself from losing health in gas-filled 
rooms.

Access Card #1-8: There are eight of them. Can open certain doors depending 
on which card you selected.

Cardboard Box: Once you equip this, this will prevent you from security 
cameras as long as you stay still.

Transmitter: Once you have this in the Equipment menu, it will detect enemies 
no matter where. Make sure you get rid of this by selecting it and push the 
Spacebar key.

Enemy Uniform: This will pass the guards in which they will not know who 
you are.

Bomb Blast Suit: Once you equip this, this will prevent you from being blown 
away by the strong force winds.

Infrared Goggles: Allows you to see security lasers in order to prevent you 
from touching them.

Mine Detector: Allows you to see landmines to prevent you from touching them.

Parachute: Once you equip this, you can drop three stories without dying.

Body Armor: Once you equip this, it will reduce the damage by half by 
enemies' bullets.

Antenna: Once you receive this, it will prevent your communications with your 
team from jamming.

Antidote: After you got stung by scorpions, use this to neutralize poison by 
selecting it and push the Spacebar key.

Compass: Once you equip this, this will prevent you from wandering aimlessly 
in the desert while getting to the 3rd building.

Oxygen Tank: Once you equip this, you can go under deep water without losing 
your health.

Flashlight: Once you equip this, you can light up dark areas.

--6. Walkthrough--

Note: This section contains spoilers. If you don't want to read spoilers, or 
if this section looks too complicated to you, go to Section 7 instead.

Another note: The dialouges are not taken from the European MSX2 version or 
the MGS3: Subsistence version. The dialouges in this game are all my trans-
lations from the Japanese version of the MSX2 version of this game.

---6A. 1st Building, 1st Floor Part 1---

When you start this game, you will watch a little scene of Solid Snake swim-
ming to the infilration point. He will receive a call from Big Boss.

"This is Big Boss... Operation Intrude N313. Infiltrate the enemy fortress 
Outer Heaven, and destroy the ultimate weapon Metal Gear!<enter key>
First off, you must try to contact Gray Fox who was missing then find the 
true meanings of the ultimate weapon Metal Gear.<enter key>
Please use the frequency number 120.85 for all the future communications with 
me. ...Over."

Wait until after Solid Snake climbs up the fence and go up one screen. You 
will receive another call.

"This is Big Boss... Your duty is to infiltrate. Make sure that the enemies 
cannot see you. ...Over."

Go up one screen, avoid the enemies, and go right one screen. In the first 
truck, pick up the ration. You can call Big Boss if you want to.

Push the Up arrow key to send a message.

"This is Solid Snake... Please respond."

"This is Big Boss... Rations? They're emergency foods. Don't eat them right 
away. Save them for later. ...Over."

Make sure you pick up as many as you can. In the second truck, there is an 
access card, but an enemy is in it. Quickly get out and wait until the enemy 
comes out. Take him out, and go back to that truck to pick up the Access 
Card #1. Call Big Boss if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... Access card? It's a card that can open doors.<enter key>
The card numbers are different depending on the doors. You should know that 
already. ...Over."

In the third truck, pick up the Binoculars. Call Big Boss if you want to. 
He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... Binoculars?<enter key>
Use them to look around your surroundings. You can find out the distant 
terrains and enemies' positions. Aim to use these regularly. ...Over."

After that, go left one screen, down one screen, and right two screens. You 
can call Big Boss if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... Steal the weapons and equipments from the enemy trucks 
and armories! Steal the ammunitions from the guards!<enter key>
In order to open doors, you must have access cards. Search for them. ...Over."

Equip Access Card #1 and enter the door. Wait until the guard says "*yawn* 
I'm getting sleepy!!" and pick up the Gas Mask. Call Big Boss if you want to. 
He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... A gas mask? Use this in the gas-filled rooms. ...Over."

Exit before the guard wakes up saying "I can't sleep anymore!", go left two 
screens, up three screens, and right one screen. In the first truck, pick up 
the Handgun, but unfortunately, you cannot use it until you pick up the ammo. 
You can call Big Boss if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... A handgun? This is the Beretta M92F...<enter key>
You'll understand how to use it. Search for the ammunitions. Do not waste 
them. ...Over." 

The second truck contains few enemies. Quickly get out of that truck, and 
wait until the enemies exit the trucks, one from the second truck and the 
other one from the third. Take out the one from the second truck, then take 
out the one from the third. Enter the third truck and pick up the Land Mine. 
You get five of these every time you pick this up. You can call Big Boss if 
you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... Land mines? You'll understand how to use them. ...Over."

Go left one screen, stay in front of the tanks, and wait until guards say 
"It's your turn!!". They will leave and after that, enter the elevator and go 
to the third floor. Before that, you can call Big Boss if you want to.

"This is Big Boss... You can ride in the elevators to move between floors. 
Remember the locations of them. ...Over."

---6B. 1st Building, 3rd Floor---

Once you first enter this floor, you will notice there are two security 
cameras. You will also receive a call.

"This is Big Boss... Be careful around the security cameras. ...Over."

If you contact Schneider by dialing 120.79 by pushing the Left or Right on 
the arrow keys, he will say--

"This the Resistance leader Schneider...<enter key>
I will guide you about the interiors of the fortress. Call me on frequency 
number 120.79. ...Over."

Make sure you stay on the upper left hand corner of this screen in which it 
is the safe spot, and once the security camera on the left goes all the down, 
and before it goes back up, run to the right hand side of this screen and 
stay on the right hand side of this column until the camera on the left goes 
all the way up. Go down one screen on the left hand side. Call Big Boss if 
you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... The Resistance members should be over there somewhere. 
Try contacting them with a codec. ...Over."

Take out the enemies without seeing you, enter the left door, and pick up the 
Ammunitions. You'll get twenty (six for Grenade Launcher, and two for Rocket 
Launcher) of these every time you pick these up. Call Big Boss if you want 
to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... You can carry a limited supply of ammunitions. You 
should know that already. ...Over."

Exit the room from the right door and repeat until you have 50. Go down one 
screen using Access Card #1 and you'll see a tied up prisoner. Rescue him and 
he'll say "You rescued me!" Now, touch the right door using Access Card #1 
and before you go to the next room, equip the Gas Mask. Go through the right 
door, and you will receive a call.

"This is Big Boss... I forgot to tell you, you will need the gas mask in the 
gas-filled rooms.<enter key>
The Resistance leader Schneider should know where the gas mask is located. 
...Over"

If you contact Schneider, he'll say--

"This is the Resistance leader Schneider... The gas mask is located at the 
south of the first floor of this building... Over."

Go all the way to the door on the bottom of this screen, equip Access Card 
#1, quickly go down, because you will take a damage before you move to the 
next screen. Take out the enemy and watch out for the camera on the left hand 
side of this screen. The top part of this screen is the safe spot. Wait until 
the camera goes all the way up or down, and go through the bottom left door 
using Access Card #1. Rescue another prisoner, and he'll be saying--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
If you're asking me about the Fox Hounder who infilrated here few days ago, 
he's safe.<enter key>
He's been captured by the guards."

Exit, go right one screen, enter the door, wait until the rolling barrel goes 
near the right wall and pick up the Plastic Explosive. Stay on the left hand 
side of this screen until it goes near the right hand side. Go to the bottom 
and wait until it goes near the left hand side. Call Big Boss if you want to. 
He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... Plastic explosives? These are the bombs that you can set 
them anywhere. ...Over."

Go through the right door, take out the enemy, go right one screen, stay on 
the bottom left hand side of the left set of crates, wait until the first 
enemy comes down, take him out, run to the right hand side of the left set of 
crates, wait until the second enemy comes down, and take him out. Go right 
one screen, take out an enemy, but watch out for the cameras. Wait until the 
camera on the bottom right goes all the way to the right, and before it goes 
back to the left, enter the bottom right door using Access Card #1 to get the 
Access Card #2. Exit, wait for the camera on near the upper left hand side 
moves to the left. Before it goes back to the right, enter the left door 
using Access Card #2 and get the Ration if you already used one. Exit, and go 
up one screen. You'll notice the floor is flashing white lights, and you'll 
receive a call.

"This is Big Boss... I forgot to tell you, but as for the high-voltage 
electrical currents, you must destroy the control panel.<enter key>
Use the RC missiles. The Resistance Leader Schneider should know where the 
RC missiles are. ...Over."

Contact Schneider and he'll say--

"This is the Resistance Leader Schneider... The RC missiles are located at 
the southwest of this floor. ...Over."

Go all the back to the screen where you rescue the second prisoner from the 
bottom left door. Go through the upper left door using Access Card #2, and 
get the RC Missiles. Call Big Boss if you want to. He will say--

"This is Big Boss... RC Missiles?<enter key>
They're the ones you can control by remote control. Use them in places with 
many obstacles. ... Over."

Now go all the back to the electrical floor, equip the RC Missiles, fire it 
and guide it to the control panel. Go up one screen, take out the enemies, go 
to the right door using Access Card #1 and rescue the third prisoner. He'll 
be saying--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
On frequency number 120.33, you can contact Diane for your support.<enter key>
She should know about the informations of the enemies."

Call Diane if you want to. Steve will say--

"This is Steve... Diane? She's out shopping and she hasn't come back yet, 
but..."

Exit, go up one screen, left one screen, take out the enemies, go through the 
top door using Access Card #2 to get the Cardboard Box. You can call Big Boss 
if you want to. He will say--

"This is Big Boss... A cardboard box? Are they moving or what? ...Over"

Exit, and go through the left door using Access Card #2 to go left one 
screen. Enter the door using Access Card #2 and defeat all the enemies in 
this room.  After that, use the Ration to restore your health, and pick up 
the Silencer. You can call Big Boss if you want to. He will say--

"This is Big Boss... A silencer? If you attach this, you can muffle out the 
gunshot. ...Over."

Call Diane and she'll say--

"Hi. this is Diane... They got the silencer. ...Over."

Go to the right door using Access Card #1 and pick up the Grenade Launcher. 
Call Big Boss if you want to. He will say--

"This is Big Boss... An M79 Grenade Launcher? You'll understand how to use 
it. ...Over."

Exit, go left one screen, down one screen from the right hand side. Enter the 
right door using Access Card #2 and rescue the fourth prisoner. Exit, go up 
one screen, right three screens, take out the guards, and go to the elevator 
to go back to the first floor.

---6C. 1st Building, 1st Floor Part 2---

Take out the enemies and go down one screen. Equip the Cardboard Box and stay 
still so the cameras won't detect you. Use the crates as the safe spots. 
Enter the left door using Access Card #2, rescue the fifth prisoner. You'll 
be promoted to the second rank, and he'll be saying--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
If you ask me about a Fox Hounder named Gray Fox or something...<enter key>
He should be confined at the secret solitary cell."

Call Schneider if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Schneider... A secret solitary cell? Sorry, but I know don't know 
anything about it... ...Over."

Exit, go down one screen, enter the left door using Access Card #1 to rescue 
the fifth prisoner. He'll be saying--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
The best way to approach to the secret solitary cell is to get caught by the 
enemies in a method."

Exit, and go to the right door using Access Card #2. Get the Submachine Gun. 
You can call Big Boss if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... A submachine gun? It's the Ingram MAC-11. You'll under-
stand how to use it. ... Over."
 
Exit this room. Go down one screen and left one screen. A guard will come by 
and says "Freeze!!" Another guard will appear and says "You're under arrest!"

---6D. 1st Building, Basement Part 1---

You'll find yourself in a cell. You will also notice that your weapons and 
equipments are gone. But you still have your transceiver. You'll receive a 
call.

"This is Big Boss... Your infiltration is a success. Search for Gray Fox's 
solitary cell.<enter key>
Try inspecting the walls!! ...Over."

Punch the left wall until you will hear a different sound in which it was 
hollow. Punch it out and go left one screen. You'll rescue another prisoner. 
He'll be saying--

"I'm glad you've arrived...newcomer. I'm Gray Fox.<enter key>
The ultimate weapon Metal Gear is nuclear powered, able to cope all types of 
terrains, it's a heavy walking tank.<enter key>
If it is completed, it'll be possible to to launch a nuclear attack in every 
places of Earth.<enter key>
No matter what you can destroy it before its completion. There is only one 
way to destroy Metal Gear.<enter key>
The developer, Dr. Pettrovich, should know about that...<enter key>
He should be confined somewhere in this building. Search for him!"

*Dr. Pettrovich was changed to Dr. Drago Pettrovich Madnar in the later re-
leases.

Punch the bottom wall located near Gray Fox's left side. Punch out the wall, 
and exit. You'll notice there is a door above the cell, but you cannot access 
it yet. Call Big Boss if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... Recover the weapons and equipments that were stolen from 
you, and escape!<enter key>
They should be hidden in the room somewhere. Search for them by punching the 
door. ...Over."

Go right one screen and you'll confront the first boss, Shoot Gunner. But 
don't fight him yet. Punch the bottom right door to get the large bag item. 
It contains all your items that were confiscated. Exit, and prepare for the 
battle with Shoot Gunner. 

Shoot Gunner--

"I'm Shoot Gunner!
Nobody will escape from this place!"

*Note: Shoot Gunner was changed to Shotmaker in the later releases.

Shoot Gunner runs around, fire sprays of shots coming towards you. Stay at 
the bottom right hand corner of the screen, facing west. Equip the RC 
Missiles and guide the missiles at Shoot Gunner. It should take four missiles 
to defeat him. Be careful not to let any missiles miss him.

If you call Diane, Steve will say--

"This is Steve... Diane? She's taking a shower right now, but..."

After you defeated Shoot Gunner, go to the bottom left door using Access Card 
#2 to get Access Card #3 and 20 ammunitions. Make sure you get them as many 
as you can. Exit this room, and go to the right door using Access Card #3. 
Call Schneider if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Schneider...<enter key>
You should blow up the section in the wall that makes a different sound when 
you hit it. ...Over."

Go right one screen, set the Plastic Explosive on the bottom wall, wait until 
it blows up, and go through the opening. Pick up Plastic Explosives and Ammu-
nitions. Make sure you stock them as many as you can. Exit, and go left one 
screen, up one screen, set a Plastic Explosive, and go through the opening. 
Pick up the Enemy Uniform. Call Big Boss if you want to. He will say--

"This is Big Boss... An enemy uniform? Is it a sailor suit? ...Over."

Exit, go down one screen, punch the right wall to make sure if it's hollow. 
If it is, equip Plastic Explosive and set it against the right wall. Wait un-
til it goes off and go through the opening. Make sure you shoot the dogs 
while you're at it. Go right one screen and up two. Set the Set the Plastic 
Explosive against the left wall, wait until it goes off, and go through the 
opening. Go down two screens, left one, and up two. Set the last Plastic 
Explosive against the top wall, go through the opening, go down one screen, 
and go through the left door using Access Card #3. Get the Bomb Blast Suit. 
You can call Big Boss if you want to. He will say--

"This is Big Boss... A bomb blast suit? It's strong against blasts and winds. 
...Over."

Exit, go up one screen, through the opening, down two, right one, up two, 
through the opening, down two, left one, through the opening, right one, and 
up two. Go through the elevator to the second floor. Before you can enter the 
second floor, go to the Equipment menu, select Transmitter, and push the 
Spacebar key to get rid of it.

---6E. 1st Building, 2nd Floor---

Equip the Cardboard box and go left. Make sure the camera near the top of the 
screen goes to the right, and go left one screen.

*If you have a transmitter on this screen, call Big Boss if you want to. 
He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... Check your equipments!!<enter key>
Has the enemy planted you a transmitter or what? ...Over."

*If you don't have a transmitter on this screen, call Big Boss if you want 
to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... In places with high visibility, you must have a camou-
flage. One example is to put something on. ...Over."

Take out the enemies, go through the left door using Access Card #3, go 
through two rooms (watch out for the rolling barrel in the second room), and 
exit. Go down two screens, and in the left door, get the Land Mines, exit, go 
through the right door and rescue a prisoner. He will say--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
To get to the courtyard, you have no choice but to drop down with a parachute 
from the rooftop."

Exit, go down one screen, quickly take out the enemy before he turns the 
switch activating high voltage currents. Go through the door using Access 
Card #3 to get the Infrared Goggles. You can call Big Boss if you want to. 
He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... Infrared goggles? The infrared sensors will become vi-
sible. ...Over."

Exit and go all the way back to where you first entered this floor. Go down 
one screen, equip the Infrared Goggles, and go down two screens without touch-
ing any lasers. Call Big Boss if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... I forgot to tell you, but be careful of the infrared sen-
sors. You'll need the Infrared Goggles. ...Over."

Go through the door using Access Card #1 to rescue a prisoner. Exit, equip 
the Infrared Goggles, go left one screen, go through the center door using 
Access Card #3 to rescue another prisoner. You'll be promoted to the third 
rank, and he'll say--

"You rescued me! Dr. Pettrovich is in the solitary cell at the courtyard."

Exit, and go through the left door using Access Card #3. You'll encounter 
another boss.

Machine Gun Kid--

"I'm Machine Gun Kid! You cannot pass through here!"

Machine Gun Kid runs around on the top of this screen, shooting sprays of 
bullets. Call Diane if you want to. She'll say--

"Hi. This is Diane... Machine Gun Kid should be weak against the RC Missiles. 
...Bye."

Stay under one of the three walls, and if you have any RC Missiles left, you 
can use it to defeat Machine Gun Kid. If not, equip either a Handgun or a 
Submachine Gun, stay at the top corner, and shoot him until he is defeated.

After you defeated him, go through the upper door using Access Card #1 to get 
the parachute. You can call Big Boss if you want to. He will say--

"This is Big Boss... A parachute? Set it before you cam drop down. ...Over."

Exit, and backtrack all the way back to the elevator door to go to the roof-
top.

---6F. 1st Building, Rooftop---

Upon entering, you won't be going any further, because the wind will blow you 
back to the door, and you'll also receive a call.

"This is Big Boss... I forgot to tell you, the wind barrier has been put up 
on the rooftop. Search for the bomb blast suit! ...Over."

Call Schneider and he'll say--

"This is Schneider. The Bomb Blast Suit is located at the basement of this
building. ...Over."

Equip the Bomb Blast Suit, go down two screens, go through the door using 
Access Card #3 and stock up the RC missiles as many as you can. Go up two 
screens, equip the Bomb Blast Suit, left three, and down one. Go through the 
door to stock up the Ammunitions. Exit, then go down one screen, go through 
the door using Access Card #2 to rescue another prisoner. He'll be saying--

"You rescued me! If you had a parachute, you can drop down from the gap of 
the fence."

Exit, go up two screens, and right one. Now go down three screens carefully 
crossing the suspension bridges, and you'll notice the guards wearing jet 
packs can easily detect you. Not even a cardboard box will fool them. Now go 
left one screen, take out the guard or destroy the control panel with the RC 
Missile before he can turn on the control panel to activate the high votage 
currents, and enter the door using Access Card #3 Pick up the Land Mine Detec-
tor. Call Big Boss if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... A land mine detector? It can tell you the locations of 
mines. ...Over."

Exit, then go right three screens while avoid the jet pack-wearing guards. 
You'll confront the third boss, Hind D.

Hind D--

This gigantic helicopter fires constant bullets in 180 degrees. Call Diane 
and she'll say--

"Hi. This is Diane... Use the Grenade Launcher to take Hind D down. ...Bye."

Your best bet is to run up to the upper left corner so the bullets can ignore 
you. Equip the Grenade Launcher, walk under the left set of crates, and when 
the crosshair is on Hind D, launch two grenades at it and run back to the 
upper left corner. Repeat until Hind D is destroyed.

Now go up one screen, and left one screen. Don't go any futher, and equip the 
Parachute. Before you can drop down, call Schneider if you want to. He'll 
say--

"This is Schneider... The parachute is located at the second floor of this 
building. ...Over."

Now, drop down, and you'll be in the first floor.

---6G. 1st Building, 1st Floor Part 3---

You've arrived at the exterior of this building. Go down one screen, equip 
the Land Mine Detector to avoid the red dots. Call Scneider if you want to. 
He'll say--

"This is the Resistance leader Schneider... The land mine detector is located 
at the rooftop of this building... Over."

Get in the second truck to pick up Access Card #4. The left truck will take 
you to the screen where you pick up the Ration, Access Card #1, and Bino-
culars with Snake saying--

"Darn it! The truck has started moving!"

Exit the right truck, and go up one screen. Go through the door using Access 
Card #4, and Snake will say--

"Dr. Pettrovich... I'm too late..."

Exit, go left one screen, and open the left door using Access Card #4. Rescue 
a prisoner, and he'll say--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
Dr. Pettrovich has moved to the second building a while ago.<enter key>
The second building is located north ten kilometers of this building."

Exit, go through the upper door using Access Card #4, then go through the 
right door using the same card. Take out the guards without seeing you, and 
go right again. Go to the elevator to go back to the basement.

---6H. 1st Building, Basement Part 2---

This part is short. From the elevator door, go down two screens and left one. 
Go through the door using Access Card #4 to get the Body Armor. Call Big Boss 
if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... A body armor? You don't have to use it if you're a man. 
...Over."

Exit, and backtrack to the elevator to the first floor.

---6I. Path to 2nd Building---

*Please note that if you move left or right in this path, you'll be on the 
same screen. However, it can restart the missile landings while holding Up.

*Also, you must equip the Body Armor all the time. To go through the locked 
doors, equip the Access Card that it can open, touch the door, equip the Body 
Armor, and go through the door that is opened.

From the right elevator of the 1st Building, go left one screen, take out all 
the guards, and go through the door using Access Card #4. Equip the Land Mine 
Detector, and go to the left truck to stock up Plastic Explosives. Make sure 
you stock up as many as you can. The right truck takes you to the first floor 
where you collect Access Card #4 from the right truck of this screen. Exit 
the left truck, go up two screens, and go to the truck to stock up Rations. 
Make sure you stock these as many as you can. Exit, and go up two screens 
avoiding falling missiles. You'll encounter yet another boss.

Tank--

This heavily-armored vehicle has three turrets. Two small ones planted on the 
either sides of the fenders which fires small bullets and a large one in the 
middle that fires a missile that can damage you pretty bad. Call Diane if 
you want to. She'll say--

"Hi. This is Diane. Use the land mines to take down the tank. ...Bye."

Stay under the cinder blocks on either side, and when the tank goes all the 
way up, set some land mines, and run back to the cinder blocks. When the tank 
runs onto the land mines, it'll take a damage. It should take eleven land 
mines to destroy it. Try not to exit this screen, or the tank will regain its 
full health back.

After the tank is destroyed, go up two screens. The guards will say--

"It appears that a Fox Hounder has infiltrated. Absolutely don't let him pass 
here!"

You'll also receive a call.

"This is Big Boss... It's the checkpoint. Put on the enemy uniform and infil-
trate!<enter key>
From now on, the communications will be conducted to frequency number 120.13. 
...Over."

Call Schneider and he'll say--

"This is the Resistance Leader Schneider... The enemy uniform is located at 
the basement of the 1st building.<enter key>
From now on, the communications will be conducted to frequency number 120.26. 
...Over."

Call Diane and she'll say--

"Hi. This is Diane... From now on, your communications with me will be 
changed to frequency number 120.91. Call me again later. ...Bye."

Equip the Enemy Uniform, approach to the guards and one of them will be say-
ing "All right, you may go in!" Enter the door that is opened.

---6J. 2nd Building, 1st Floor Part 1---

When you first enter this building, go left one screen, go through the left 
door using Access Card #4 to stock up the Ammunitions and Land Mines. Make 
sure you get as many as you can. Backtrack to where you started, get in the 
shallow water, go left onescreen, and go through the center door using Access 
Card #4. You'll fight the next boss.

Bull Tank--

This vehicle moves down. Your best bet is to equip the Grenade Launcher, make 
sure the crosshair is on the bulldozer, and launch two grenades at a time. It 
will stop while the grenades inflicting a damage to the Bull Tank.

Once you destroyed Bull Tank, go through the top door using Access Card #4, 
and equip the Infrared Goggles. Unlike the other security lasers, the lasers 
in this screen are not static. They alternate every few seconds. Try to remem-
ber the pattern, go right one screen, and down one. Go through the only door 
using Access Card #2, take out the guard, and get the Antenna. You'll receive 
a call.

"This is Big Boss... There was a radio interference, but it's fine now. 
...Over."

Exit, and go up one screen left one, equip the Infrared Goggles, avoid the 
lasers, and go through the elevator to the rooftop. Remember, this elevator 
can only go up. Before you can enter the elevator, call Schneider if you want 
to. He'll say--

"This is Schneider... The north elevator can only go up. ...Over."

---6K. 2nd Building, Rooftop---

Once you enter, you'll be on a high alert, so equip the Body Armor, and go to 
the door using Access Card #2 to rescue a prisoner. He'll say--

"You rescued me! Dr. Pettrovich is in the dungeon."

Exit, equip the Body Armor, then go right one screen, and down two. Enter the 
door using Access Card #4 to pick up Access Card #5 and stock the Ammu-
nitions. Exit, then equip the Body Armor again, go right one screen, go 
through the door using Access Card #5, go to the elevator, and ride it all 
the down to the basement. Remember, this elevator can only go down. Before 
you can enter the elevator, call Schneider if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Schneider... The south elevator can only go down. ...Over."

---6L. 2nd Building, Basement Part 1---

Exit this room using Access Card #5, and you'll receive a call.

"This is Schneider. From this point is the gas-filled room. ...Over."

Open the top left door using Access Card #5 to rescue another prisoner. Exit, 
touch the left door using Access Card #5, equip the Gas Mask, and get 
through. Go up one screen,  and right one. Equip the Plastic Explosive, set 
it on the upper right wall, wait until it explodes, go through the opening, 
go up one screen, and open the door using Access Card #1. Remember, you will 
going to take damage while doing that. Rescue a prisoner, and you'll be pro-
moted to the fourth rank, and he'll say--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
To escape from the floor, you have no choice but to search for the north ele-
vator!"

Touch the door using Access Card #1. Before you exit, equip the Gas Mask, go 
left one screen, enter the door using Access Card #5, and you'll see Dr. Pet-
trovich. Unfortunately, it's a fake. The fake Dr. Pettrovich will say--

"You've fell to a trap!
The real Dr. Pettrovich is located at the second floor...
Die!! Fox Hounder!"

As soon as the pitfall opens, immediately hold down, and when it finished 
opened, go through the left door in this room to get the Access Card #6. 
Touch the bottom door using Access Card #6, equip the Gas Mask, and exit. If 
you are almost out of Rations, Ammunitions and Plastic Explosives, go right 
one screen using the top path and enter the door. Watch out for the rolling 
barrel while stocking up your items. Otherwise, go to the left door after you 
collect Access Card #6 using that card to encounter the next boss. Before you 
can enter the door, Call Schneider if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Schneider... The north elevator is right ahead. ...Over."

Enter the door to encounter the next boss.

Fire Trooper--

"I'm Fire Trooper!! I'm going to barbecue you!!"

Fire Trooper moves left and right on the top of this room, and he uses his 
flamethrower that is almost in long range, and it moves in a 45 degree angle. 
Call Diane if you want to. Steve will say--

"This is Steve... Diane? You again!<enter key>
You listen here, you leave her alone!!"

Stay at the top right corner, in which is the safe spot. Equip either the 
Handgun or the Submachine Gun, approach next to him, and shoot him until he 
is defeated.

After you defeated him, go to the elevator to go up to the second floor. Be 
careful not to miss it.

---6M. 2nd Building, 2nd Floor Part 1---

When you arrived here, you'll immediately be alerted by the enemies. Quickly 
take them down, and go right two screens, and open the door using Access Card 
#6 to pick up the Antidote. Exit, then go left one screen, open the bottom 
left door using the Access Card #1, go down one screen, ignore the Arnolds. 
Call Diane if you want to. She'll say--

"Hi. This is Diane... The Arnolds who guard the doors are indestructible. You 
better get out of there!!"

Go through the right door using Access Card #5, and go right one screen. Go 
through  the top left door using Access Card #3 to rescue another prisoner, 
and he'll say--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
Use the frequency number 120.48 to contact Jennifer from the Resistance.<en-
ter key>
She'll provide you direct support.<enter key>
She's really prideful, however.<enter key>
She'll never respond to you if you don't have the highest rank."

Exit, contact Jennifer. She'll say--

"This is Jennifer... I'll prepare a rocket launcher for you. Come and get it. 
...Over."

Go through the top right door using Access Card #6 to pick up Rocket Laun-
cher. Exit, then go through the left door using Access Card #5, ignore the 
Arnolds, go through the bottom left door using Access Card #1, go left one 
screen, and go through the opened door to collect three sets of Ammunitions. 
Make sure you stock up enough Rocket Launcher ammunitions. Exit, then go up 
two screens using the middle path, go through the door using Access Card #6, 
and rescue Dr. Pettrovich. He'll say--

"I am Dr. Pettrovich. My daughter, Elen, was held captive.<enter key>
If you don't rescue her, I cannot tell you about Metal Gear.<enter key>
She is confined in the basement of the first building. Rescue her."

Exit, go down two screens, right one, go through the top left door using Ac-
cess Card #1, equip the Rocket Launcher to take down the Arnolds, and get the 
Access Card #7. Go through the top right door using Access Card #2, and go 
right one screen. Call Jennifer. She'll say--

"This is Jennifer... I'll open the door right now. ...Over."

The door will open. Go through the door to pick up the Compass. Exit, then go 
left one screen, go through the door using Access Card #2, go through the bot-
tom right door using Access Card #5, go through the opened door to rescue ano-
ther prisoner. He'll say--

"You rescued me! To get through the desert, you'll need to carry a compass."

Exit, go right one screen, and go through the only door using Access Card #5. 
Watch out for the rolling barrel, and ride in the elevator to the first 
floor.

*You should also be careful of the pitfall on the right hand side of this 
room.

---6N. 2nd Building, 1st Floor Part 2---

Exit this room using Access Card #5, go left one screen using Access Card #5, 
go left one screen, and go through the right door using Access Card #6 to 
pick up the Flashlight. Call Big Boss if you want to. He'll say--

"This is Big Boss... A flashlight? You'll understand how to use it. ...Over."

Exit, then go right one screen, up one, right one, and up one while staying 
out of the water and go through the right door using Access Card #5 to rescue 
another prisoner. He'll say--

"You rescued me! The end of the waterway is connected to the third building."

Exit, then go down, left, up, left, equip the Infrared Goggles to avoid the 
lasers, go down one screen, go through the door using Access Card #4, go 
right one screen, go through the door, go all the down the path, make sure 
you equip the Land Mine Detector and stock up Rations and Plastic Explosives 
as many as you can, go through the door using Access Card #4, go right one 
screen, and ride the elevator to the basement of the first building.

---6O. 1st Building, Basement Part 3---

Go down two screens, left three, go through the top door using Access Card 
#6, go through the door using Access Card #6. You'll hear another prisoner 
who was screaming for help. You'll also trigger a pitfall near the right hand 
side of this room, so be careful. Place the Plastic Explosive on the right 
wall, go through the opening, and rescue Elen. She'll say--

"Thank you... I am Elen, the daughter of Dr. Pettrovich.<enter key>
He has been threatened into creating Metal Gear. Please save him quickly."

*Note: Elen was changed to Ellen in the later releases.

Exit, go up one screen, go through the top door using Access Card #1, equip 
the Flashlight, take a route that opens up the center pitfall, but you must 
hurry before it opens all the way, go up one screen, go around the center pit-
fall, and hurry while the left pitfall opens. Go up again, take the right cen-
ter route, run to the right hand side while the center pitfall opens. Go up 
one screen, run to the top of the screen while the right pitfall opens, go up 
one screen, and you'll receive a call.

"Hi. This is Diane. Are you all right? Watch out for the pitfalls! ...Bye."

Call Schneider and he'll say--

"This is Schneider... The flashlight is located at the first floor of the sec-
ond building. ...Over."

In this screen, you won't have to worry about the pitfalls. Go through the on-
ly door using Access Card #6 to get to the basement of the second building.

---6P. 2nd Building, Basement Part 2---

Enter the left door to stock up the Ammunitions, then exit, and set the Plas-
tic Explosive at the lower right corner of the pitfall that opens near the 
right hand side of this room, equip the Gas Mask, go through the opening, go 
up one screen using the left path, left one screen, go through the door using 
Access Card #5 to stock up the Rations. Exit, go right one screen while tak-
ing an upper path, up one, go through the door that was opened with Access 
Card #5, go through the left door, exit, go right one screen, go through the 
door to stock up the Plastic Explosives, Rations, and Ammunitions (watch out 
for the rolling barrel), exit, go left one screen, go through the left door 
using Access Card #6, and ride in the elevator to the second floor.

---6Q. 2nd Building, 2nd Floor Part 2---

Take out the enemies quickly, go down one screen using the right path, right 
one, go through the lower left door using Access Card #1, left one, up two, 
go through the door using Access Card #6 to rescue Dr. Pettrovich. He'll say--

"I am Dr. Pettrovich.<enter key>
Metal Gear is located in the 100th basement floor in the third building, loca-
ted 20 kilometers north of this building.<enter key>
There is only one way to destroy Metal Gear. Set the plastic explosives on 
the legs where the armor is weak.<enter key>
The sequence is: R, R, L, R, L, L, R, L, L, R, R, L, R, L, R,... I've for-
gotten what the rest was!<enter key>
Anyway, you must set sixteen explosives.<enter key>
The Arnolds have the card to exit the second building. Their only weakness is 
to use the rocket launcher!<enter key>
Good luck..."

Exit, go down two screens, right one, go through the door using Access Card 
#1, go through the lower right door using Access Card #5, go right one 
screen, go through the door using Access Card #5, and ride the elevator to 
the first floor.

---6R. 2nd Building, 1st Floor Part 3---

Go through the bottom door, then go through the left door. Go up one screen, 
walk around in the shallow water, go right one screen, up one, exit the 
water, go down, one screen, left one, up one, go through the door using Ac-
cess Card #6 to stock up the Plastic Explosives. Exit, go down one screen, 
right one, up one, left one, and go through the door using Access Card #7.

---6S. 3rd Building Part 1---

If you call Diane, she'll say--

"Hi. This is Diane... If a scorpion poisoned you, you should use an antidote. 
...Bye."

Call Schneider. He'll say--

"This is Schneider... The compass is located at the second floor of the 
second building. ...Over."

Equip the Compass, and go up four screens without letting a scorpion lunging 
at you. The alternative way is to stay at the left or right side of the 
screen, pushing left or right while holding Up. Once you're at the empty 
screen, push the Equipment menu button, select the Antidote, and push the 
spacebar key if you are poisoned by a scorpion. Otherwise, head up once more, 
and you'll see enemies coming out of the first, third, fourth, and sixth 
trucks. The second truck from the left contains a set of Ammunitions, make 
sure you stock them as many as you can. The fourth truck from the left con-
tains two sets of Ammunitions. You'll also receive a call.

"This is Big Boss... Get in the truck on the right hand side! ...Over."

Go through the door using Access Card #7, take out all the enemies, and set 
the Plastic Explosive on the upper right hand wall. You'll also receive a 
call.

"This is Big Boss... Go through the door located to the left! ...Over."

Call Jennifer and she'll say--

"This is Jennifer... Blow up the walls!! ...Over."

Go through the opening, stay on the right hand side, go all the way to the 
bottom of the crates on the top right corner, run to the left hand side in 
the center, go all the way up, then go right to ride in the elevator. Go all 
the way down, and leave the elevator. Upon arrival, you'll receive a call.

"This is Jennifer! The oxygen tank is located on the other side of the wall!! 
...Over."

Run down to the bottom of the only column while avoiding the cameras that 
shoot lasers that can cause a lot of damage, place the Plastic Explosive on 
the bottom wall under the column, go through the opening, and get the Oxygen 
Tank. Exit, then ride in the elevator all the way back up to the entrance, go 
all the way down in the path, go through the door using Access Card #7, and  
return to the first floor of the second building.

---6T. Tunnel to 3rd Building---

Go right one screen, get in the water, equip the Oxygen Tank, go all the way 
up, exit the water surface, and go up again. Equip the RC Missiles, guide it 
with the arrow key to destroy the control panel next to the left door. Go 
through the left door using Access Card #1 to stock up the Ammunitions (There 
are two sets in this room). You'll also receive a call.

"This is Schneider... I've found out who was the real boss of Outer Hea-
ven!<enter key>
How was that... The boss of Outer Heaven is...<enter key>
...Waargh!!..."

Exit, destroy the control panel using the RC missile, then go through the 
right door using Access Card #7. You'll encounter yet another boss.

Coward Duck--

"I'm Coward Duck!
If you think you could beat me, let's see you try it!!"

*Note: Coward Duck was changed to Dirty Duck in the later releases.

Coward Duck throws boomerangs around this room. You'll receive a call.

"This is Jennifer... Coward Duck has gotten his hands on Access Card #8.<en-
ter key>
My older brother is with the other prisoners! Don't kill him...<enter key>
If anything happens to him, I will not help you anymore!"

Call Diane, and she'll say--

"Hi. This is Diane... The handgun is the only way to take him down without 
killing any allies. ...Bye."

Do not walk in the middle of this room as it could trigger the pitfall. In-
stead, walk either on the left or right side of this room, stand directly 
under either the left or the right prisoner, equip the Handgun, and shoot 
Coward Duck until he is defeated.

Once you defeated him, pick up Access Card #8, rescue the left and right pri-
soners, then rescue the one in the middle. He'll say--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
I'm Jennifer's<enter key>
older brother.<enter key>
When you escape, choose the<enter key>
left ladder!!"

Exit, destroy the control panel using RC missiles, go down one screen, equip 
the Oxygen Tank, get in the water, go all the way down, get out of the water, 
go left one screen, go through the door that was opened with Access Card #7, 
go all the up, enter the door using Access Card #7, go up one screen, avoid 
the pitfalls, and ride the elevator all the way down.

---6U. 3rd Building Part 2---

Outrun the camera's laser to go through the right door using Access Card #8, 
and rescue another prisoner. He'll say--

"You rescued me!<enter key>
The boss of Outer Heaven is<enter key>
the Fox Hounder commander, Big Boss!<enter key>
It's all of his actions!! Don't let him deceive you!"

Exit, go left one screen. You'll receive a call.

"This is Big Boss... Solid Snake! The strategy has been suspended! Return im-
mediately at once.<enter key>
This is an order!! Turn off the MSX!! ...Over."

Call Jennifer, and she'll say--

"This is Jennifer!<enter key>
The card to open the door is located at the east side of the third building. 
That place is connected to the waterway of the second building. ...Bye."

Touch top door using Access Card #8 (You'll take some damage from the laser 
cameras in this room, so use the Rations), equip the Gas Mask, go through the 
door. Call Jennifer. She'll say--

"This is Jennifer!! Blow up the left wall! ...Over."

Place the Plastic Explosive on the top left wall, and go through the opening. 
Run up against the left side of the screen, then run all the way to the 
right, touch the door using Access Card #1, equip the Gas Mask and go through 
the door. Unfortunately, not only this room is filled with gas, but it also 
contains land mines, so you have to switch the Gas Mask and Lane Mine Detec-
tor constantly. Go through another door using Access Card #1, and you'll see 
another room with electrified floor. You'll receive a call.

"This is Jennifer! You have nothing but to run in one go! If you have some 
rations in you possession, you'll be fine. ...Over."

Unfortunately, this one does not have the control panel, so you'll have to 
use some Rations. When you're standing in the doorway before the next boss, 
eat the next Ration, and go through the door to fight the next boss.

Metal Gear--

Metal Gear isn't much of a threat, but the laser cameras on the top of this 
screen are. Outrun the lasers, go to either the left or right hand side of 
this room, equip the Plastic Explosives, and place them on its legs as follow-
ing:

R, R, L, R, L, L, R, L, L, R, R, L, R, L, R. Then place the sixteenth and 
last Plastic Explosive on R. The L is near the left side of this room and the 
R is on the right. Make sure the explosives are directly on its legs, and not 
near them.

After the Metal Gear is blown up, the left door is opened, the countdown will 
begin in 3000 seconds in a very fast clock, and you'll hear a voice saying --

"Emergency situation!!
Emergency situation!!
The destruction of Outer Heaven has been switched on!
Please escape the emergency procedures immediately!"

Go through the left door, and you'll confront the last boss.

Big Boss--

"Solid Snake! I'm glad you could make it...!
I am the Fox Hounder Commander, and
the boss of this fortress, Outer Heaven, Big Boss!!
The one reason I gave you, newcomer, is also the mission to bring home with 
false information...
But you've gone too far. Too far!
Solid Snake!
I shall not die that easily. I'll take you with me!!
Come and get me!"

You'll also receive a call.

"This is Diane! I don't know know how to take Big Boss down... That's up to 
you! Solid Snake!<enter key>
...I... love you...no, it's nothing... Take care..."

Call Jennifer, and she'll say--

"This is Jennifer! Use the cigarettes to increase the timer. Return alive! 
Solid Snake..."

Big Boss moves very fast, ofter hides behind one of the six crates. Equip the 
Rocket Launcher and the Body Armor, run around in this room and fire the Roc-
ket Launcher. If the rocket hits Big Boss successfully, repeat the process. 
It should take four rockets to defeat him.

Before you can go through the door that is opened after you defeated Big 
Boss, go to the Equipment Menu screen, select the Cigarettes, and push the 
Spacebar key. You'll have 2000 extra seconds. Go through the door, and climb 
up the left ladder (the other two will be stuck in the middle). Climb up all 
the way, and Solid Snake runs out the fortress, and when the timer is set to 
0, the fortress explodes. Solid Snake now turns on his transceiver.

"This is Solid Snake... The Metal Gear has been successfully destroyed. Opera-
tion Intrude N313 has been completed!
Everything's over... Everything...
I am returning back to the base. ...Over."

Snake now dials his transceiver to 120.77.

"This is the KNK Radio. We have some special news to tell.
Early this morning, there seems to be a large-scale earthquake in the vici-
nity of Galzburg, South Africa..."

"Introducing the Metal Gear Staff on our behalf..."

After the credits roll, the screen will fade to black, and the dialouge box 
pops up.

Big Boss: ...Can you hear me? Solid Snake... I shall not die... Someday, 
we'll settle this. 
Someday... We'll meet again!

--7. Spoiler-free Walkthrough--

[Binoculars], left, down, right, right, door (1), [Gas Mask], exit, left, 
left, up, up, up, first truck [Handgun], third truck [Land mines], left, wait 
until the guards leave, and ride the elevator to the third floor.

1st Building, 3rd Floor--
Down using the left path, enter left door (1), [Ammo], bottom door (1) [Pri-
soner], touch the right door (1), put on the Gas Mask, bottom door (1), lower 
left door (1) [Prisoner], exit, right, enter the opened door [Plastic Explo-
sives], right, right, right, right door (1) [Card #2], exit, left door 
[Ration], exit, backtrack all the way to where the second prisoner is, top 
left door (2) [RC Missiles], exit, return to where you get Card #2 from, up, 
use RC Missile to destroy the control panel, up, up, left, top door (2) [Card-
board Box], exit, left (2), enter the door (2), take out all the enemies 
[Silencer], enter the right door (1) [Grenade Launcher], exit, left, down 
using the right path, right door (2) [Prisoner], exit, up, right, right, 
right, and ride the elevator back to the first floor.

1st Building, 1st Floor Part 2--

Down, equip Cardboard Box, left door (2) [Prisoner], down, left door (1) [Pri-
soner], right door (2) [Submachine Gun], down, and left.

1st Building, Basement Part 1--

Punch the left wall, rescue Gray Fox, punch the bottom wall, go right, enter 
the bottom right door [All your weapons and equipments], defeat Shoot Gunner, 
enter the bottom left door (2) [Card #3] and [Ammo], enter the right door 
(3), up, place a Plastic Explosive on the left wall [Enemy Uniform], down, 
right, place a Plastic Explosive on the bottom wall [Ammo] and [Plastic Explo-
sive], left, place a Plastic Explosive on the right wall, through the open-
ing, right, up, up, place a Plastic Explosive on the left wall, through the 
opening, down, down, left, up, up, place a Plastic Explosive on the middle 
wall, through the opening, right, down, enter the left door (3) [Bomb Blast 
Suit], up, left, down, down, right, up, up, down, down, left, exit the spi-
ral, right, up, up, get rid of the Transmitter, and enter the elevator to the 
second floor.

1st Building, 2nd Floor--

Equip Cardboard Box, left, left door (3), left, left (3), exit, down, down, 
left door [Land Mines], right door [Prisoner], down, take out the enemy, door 
(3) [Infrared Goggles], backtrack all the way to start, down, down, equip In-
frared Goggles, down, door (1) [Prisoner], left, door (3) [Prisoner], left 
door (3), defeat Machine Gun Kid, top door (1) [Parachute], backtrack all the 
way to the start, and enter the elevator to the rooftop.

1st Building, Rooftop--

Down, down, door (3) [RC Missiles], up, up, left, left, left, down, enter 
door [Ammo], down, enter door (2) [Prisoner], up, up, right, down, down, 
down, left, enter door (3) [Land Mine Detector], right, right, right, defeat 
Hind D using Grenade Launcher, up, left, equip the Parachute, and drop down.

1st Building, 1st Floor Part 3--

Down, equip Land Mine Detector, second truck [Card #4], up, door (4) [Dr. Pet-
trovich has moved], left, left door (4) [Prisoner], top right door (4), right 
door (4), right, and enter the elevator to the basement.

1st Building, Basement Part 2--

Left, down, down, bottom door (4) [Body Armor], exit, up, up, right, and 
enter the elevator to go back to the first floor.

Path to 2nd Building--

Left, top door (4), equip Land Mine Detector, left truck [Plastic Explo-
sives], up, up, truck [Rations], up, up, destroy the Tank using Land Mines, 
up, up, equip Enemy Uniform, and enter the door.

2nd Building, 1st Floor Part 1--

Get in the water, left, middle door (4), destroy the Bulldozer using Grenade 
Launcher, top door (4), equip Infrared Goggles, right, down, get in the 
water, then out from the other end, door (2) [Antenna], get in the water, 
then out from the other end, up, left, and take an elevator to the rooftop.

2nd Building, Rooftop--

Enter door (2) [Prisoner], exit, right, down, down, door (4) [Card #5] 
[Ammo], exit, right, door (5), and enter the elevator to the basement.

2nd Building, Basement Part 1--

Exit the bottom door (5), top left door (5) [Prisoner], exit, touch left door 
(5), equip Gas Mask, up, right, place a Plastic Explosive on the top right 
hand side of the wall, up, door (1) [Prisoner], exit, left, door (5), left 
door [Card #6], touch the door (6), equip Gas Mask, right using the top path, 
door [Ration] [Ammo] [Plastic Explosive], exit, left, left door (6), defeat 
Fire Trooper, and enter the elevator to the second floor. 

2nd Building, 2nd Floor Part 1--

Take out the enemies, right, right, door (6) [Antidote], exit, left, bottom 
door (1), right door (5), top left door (3) [Prisoner], exit, call Jennifer 
on 120.48, right door (6) [Rocket Launcher], exit, left door (5), take out 
the Arnolds using Rocket Launcher [Card #7], top right door, (2), right, call 
Jennifer on 120.48, door [Compass], exit, left, door (2), bottom left door 
(1), left, enter opened door [Ammo 3x], exit, up using the middle path, up, 
door (6) [Pettrovich], exit, down, down, right, door (1), bottom right door 
(5), enter opened door [Prisoner], exit, right, door (5), and enter the ele-
vator to the first floor.

2nd Building, 1st Floor Part 2--

Take out the enemies, bottom door (5), left door (5), left, right door (6) 
[Flashlight], exit, right, up, right, up, right door (6) [Prisoner], exit, 
down, left, get in the water, then get out from the other side, up, left, 
equip Infrared Goggles, bottom door (4), bottom door (4), right, get out 
of the water, and go through the bottom door.

1st Building, Basement Part 3--

Go all the down in the path, door (4), right, enter the elevator to the base-
ment, left, down, down, left door (3), left, top door (6), door (6), set a 
Plastic Explosive on the right wall, right [Elen], left, exit, up, equip 
Flashlight, up (watch out for the pitfalls from this point), up, up, up, up, 
and enter the door (6) to the basement of the 2nd building.

2nd Building, Basement Part 2--

Opened door [Ammo 2x], exit, equip Gas Mask, right, up, left, door (5) 
[Ration], exit, right using the top path, up, door (5), left, exit (6), left 
door (6), and enter the elevator to the second floor.

2nd Building, 2nd Floor Part 2--

Down using the right path, right, bottom left door (1), left, up using the 
middle path, up, door (6) [Pettrovich], exit, down, down, right, door (1), 
bottom right door (5), right, door (5), and get in the elevator to the first 
floor.

2nd Building, 1st Floor Part 3--

Bottom door (5), left door (5), up, get in the water, right using the top 
path in the water, up, out of the water, left, and enter the door (7).

3rd Building Part 1--

Equip Compass, go all the way up, second truck [Ammo], exit, fourth truck 
[Ammo 2x], door (7), take out the enemies, set a Plastic Explosive on the top 
right wall, up, avoid pitfalls, get in the elevator, go all the down, set a 
Plastic Explosive on the bottom wall in the middle [Oxygen Tank], exit, and 
go all the way back to the first floor of the 2nd building.

Tunnel to 3rd Building--

Right, get in the water, equip Oxygen Tank, go all the way up, get out of the 
water, up, destroy the control panel using RC Missile, top left door (1) 
[Ammo 2x], exit, destroy the control panel using RC Missile, top right door 
(7), defeat Coward Duck using Handgun [Card 8] [Prisoner 3x], exit, destroy 
the control panel using RC Missile, down, get in the water, equip Oxygen 
Tank, go all the way down, exit the water, left, and enter the door (7).

3rd Building Part 2--

Equip Compass, go all the way up, second truck [Ammo], exit, fourth truck 
[Ammo 2x], exit, door (7), take out the enemies, set a Plastic Explosive on 
the top right wall, up, avoid pitfalls, get in the elevator, go all the down, 
right door (8) [Prisoner], exit, left, touch the top door (8), equip the Gas 
Mask, get in the door, take the left path of this room, set a Plastic Explo-
sive on the top left wall, up, avoid the pitfall, touch the top right door 
(1), equip the Gas Mask, go through, switch the Land Mine Detector and Gas 
Mask constantly, top left door (1), go through the electrified floor, make 
sure you eat some Rations, enter the door, destroy Metal Gear using Plastic 
Explosives and use sequences that Dr. Pettrovich told you earlier, place the 
sixteenth explosive on R, go through the left door, defeat Big Boss using Roc-
ket Launcher, go through the top door that is opened, and take the left 
ladder to complete the game.
