 \ 2. ORIGINAL GENERATION \

In 2002 Banpresto decided to release a new game based on their existing 
Super Robot Wars series: Original Generation. Consisting ENTIRELY of 
original characters they have created in the 15-year history of the 
series, they basically rewrote parts of of SRW 2 as well as Alpha into 
one game, adding in new elements, new characters, but without using any 
licensed animations which have been the hallmark of the series.

With the game they introduced a few new concepts:

- The Pilot Point system, whereby a defeated enemy would give a number 
  of PPs to the pilot that defeated it, allowing him or her to use them 
  and improve stats or earn new skills. This would be integrated into 
  the later SRW Alpha games.

- Weapon Gauge system, whereby a unit could equip a whole host of 
  weapons, opening up a HUGE range of customisation not unlike the 
  Armored Core series.

- Status-effect missiles, whereby units would be hit with different 
  status effects which would reduce damage dealt, reduce armour, have 
  their Energy taken away, amongst others. This would be integrated 
  into future SRWs as part of normal attacks, like Mazinger Z's Rust 
  Hurricane.

They carried on with a sequel in 2005, aptly named Original Generation 
2, using more characters, following up on old storylines as well as 
using elements from others (SRW 3, SRW Impact, SRW Alpha 2), finally 
cementing their own history in the eyes of the fans. While the sequel 
didn't offer anything new in terms of gameplay, it brought about some
other new systems into the foray, most notably being the "Ace Bonus" 
system as well as a hidden and revamped Relationship system. 
Nevertheless, the universe has been expanded and was deemed to be 
popular enough for the company to decide on remaking the games for the 
home console.

Enter Original Generations. Totally new animations, re-written 
script to fit in the scenes in the OVA, manga and TV series, additional 
scenarios, new gameplay elements...and more.

Twins is a new system introduced in Original Generations. Basically, 
once the correct conditions are met, any 2 units (barring Batttleships) 
can join up as a single Twin. Thankfully for you, enemies only come 
either in Singles or in Twins, they won't Twin up in the middle of a 
battle.


How to Twin up?

Basically, once 2 pilots are at 110 morale, within touching distance of  
each other and have not used up their turn, the "Join Up" 「合流」 
command will become available. The unit initiating the Joining Up will 
become the MAIN unit of the Twin, the unit that linked up will become 
the SUB unit of the Twin. You can switch the Main unit around as long 
as neither unit has moved yet.

Under the same rationale, you can also move a unit till it's within 
touching distance of another unit and Join Up to attack. However, this 
will be considered Post-Movement, and the Sub unit will only have Post-
Movement weapons active despite the fact that it has not moved yet. 
Naturally you will not have the chance to use any Twin Seishins when 
doing a Post-Movement Join Up.


Note that flying units will be grounded if you Twin them up with a 
ground-only unit, and their hit/evasion/attack values will be lowered 
appropriately, exactly like SRW Alpha 2/3. And just like in Alpha 2/3, 
movement rate will be averaged out between the Twins.


Generally, it is highly suggested you go running around in Twins as you 
will have 2 pilots (or in the extreme case of SRX + Huckebein Gunner
or RyuKoOh, 5) gaining experience and PP instead of 1. Just like in 
SRW Alpha 2/3, the Sub unit will gain noticably lower Exp and PP unless 
the pilot in question has the Learning skill learnt.

Not only that, when facing single enemies, only 1 unit will be targeted 
by the enemy, so it can defend/dodge while the other unit can unload 
onto the unfortunate enemy.

Furthermore, Unit Specialities will activate ONLY when you Twin up 
units, and will affect both units of the Twin. The Unit Specialities 
are icons that are found on the top right corner on the Status screen, 
under the unit name. There are 7 types of Unit Specialities, namely:

When you Twin up 2 units with the same Speciality, you do not get 
double of the same bonus, but an extra bonus.

Double Melee    - Movement +1
Double Ranged   - Range +1
Double Nendou   - Nendou Lv +1 (capped at Lv9)
Double Accuracy - Critical rate +50%
Double Evasion  - Units gain "Bushin"
Double Defence  - Barrier effect +200
Double Standard - Melee, Shooting damage +5%, Hit, Dodge rate +10%


When it comes to a Twin vs Twin battle, several situations can occur. 
You can either do an Individual Attack, or do a Focused Attack.

An Individual Attack means the Main will attack the Main, Sub will 
attack the Sub, and both will hit for 100% damage on their respective 
targets. They will both get countered by their respective targets.

A Focused Attack means the Main and Sub will attack only one of the 
enemies. In these situations:

Main + Sub vs Main -> Main will do 100% damage, Sub will do 65% damage.
                      Enemy will counter Main (unless using an ALL 
                      attack)

Main + Sub vs Sub  -> Main will do 65% damage, Sub will do 100% damage, 
                      Enemy will attack Sub (unless using an ALL 
                      attacK)

You can increase the lowered damage by 20% if the pilot that is having 
the lowered attack has the Focused Attack skill.


Other things to note about Twins:

- When the Main unit does an ALL attack, the Sub unit cannot attack 
  unless it has an ALL attack within range.

- If a Main unit does a Double Attack, the Sub unit cannot attack no 
  matter what.

- You cannot choose between Individual or Focused Attacks when 
  countering. You can only hope that they will do Individual Attacks so 
  as to maximise your damage potential.

- You can "pull" Combining units out of Twins even after they've 
  completed thier actions. For example, if the AM Gunner is Twinned 
  with a MP Gespenst Mk. II, you can use the Huckebein Mk. III to pull 
  it out of the Twin by using the Combine command, then release it with 
  the Seperate Command.

- Note that Twin Seishins that affect the "next attack" will be lost if 
  you decide to break up the Twin after casting the seishin. There will 
  be no refunding of SP.

- Personal Seishins like Effort or Direct Attack that affect Twins CAN 
  be cast before Twinning up, however. The effect will cover both units
  once they Twin up. Note that the effect will go back to the original 
  caster if you break the Twin up before you commence any attack.

- It's incredibly useful for powerful units whose pilots do not have 
  Awaken. Thus, for example, if you place Zengar together with Kusuha, 
  you can cleave up a lot more damage with the help of Kusuha's Awaken.

- Same rationale works for Accelerate as well as Hit & Away. However, 
  the Main's pilot must be the one with the Hit & Away skill.

- If you have another Twin next to your attacking Twin, and both the 
  adjoining pilots have Support Attack, you will be able to use them to 
  aid both units of the Twin, thereby allowing you to do up to 4 
  attacks at one go. However, the Support Attack damage penalty WILL 
  stack with the Sub unit damage penalty, so the Sub unit that's doint 
  a Support Attack will generally be doing around 30% damage.

- On that note, if only the Main attacks (you do not let the Sub enter 
  battle), only 1 member of the adjoining Twin can Support Attack, not 
  both. You can choose whom to attack with though. Again, note that the 
  Support Attack + Sub Unit penalties will stack.

6.1 Seishins [MENU1]
============

Most of the seishins in both Original Generation and Original 
Generation 2 made it back into the game, either as Personal or Twin 
seishins. 

Twin Seishins are the new addition to the mix. While each pilot has his 
or her own personal Twin seishin, he will not be able to use it unless 
he's in a Twin, and BOTH pilots must have the required amount of SP in 
order to cast it.

On a side note, subpilots will not be granted access to Twin Seishins 
or their effects.

Note that different pilots have different seishin costs.

6.2 Pilot Skills [MENU2]
================
In Original Generation, along with the ability to customise (most of) 
the units, you could also customise the pilots with the addition of 
Pilot Points that are gained when you defeat an enemy. The trend 
continued on in Original Generation 2, and naturally brought over here 
as well.

You can purchase additional levels of skills for pilots who naturally 
have the skill itself. However, the number of levels you can purchase 
is fixed by the maximum possible level of that pilot.


For example, Bullet has natural Infight. In Original Generation, his 
maximum possible Infight is Lv6, thus you can only purchase up to 3 
levels of Infight only before the option is removed, even if he is only 
at Lv4 in the middle of the game, showing in the skills screen as 
Lv 4+3, and maxing out at Lv 6+3 by the end-game. 


You can also overwrite natural skills, as long as they are not Fixed 
Skills (denoted by an asterisk in the skills list). However, once you 
overwrite the natural skill, you will no longer gain levels naturally 
in that particular skill even if you decide to purchase it again later 
on.

援護攻撃 (Support Attack) - 50 PP for Lv1, +10 PP per additional level

Pilot's amount of Support Attack increases. Note that all Support 
Attacks will do 75% damage of normal unless pilot has Linking Attack 
ability. Maximum level of Support Attack is 4.

Support Attack will activate under the following conditions:

1. Unit doing Support Attack is next to unit that is attacking.
2. Pilot doing Support Attack has at least 1 use of it left.
3. Unit doing Support Attack has not ended its turn.
4. Unit doing Support Attack is able to enter the current Terrain of 
   unit that is attacking.
5. Unit doing Support Attack has a weapon that is within range of the 
   enemy that attacking unit has targeted. 

However, Support Attack WILL NOT activate if attacking unit uses an ALL 
attack or a Double Attack.

援護防御 (Support Defence) - 50 PP for Lv1, +10 PP per additional level

Pilot's amount of Support Defence increases. Maximum level of Support 
Defence is 4.

Support Defence will activate under the following conditions:

1. Unit doing Support Defence is next to unit that is being attacked.
2. Pilot doing Support Defence has at least 1 use of it left.
3. Unit that is being attacked fails to evade the attack.
4. Unit doing Support Defence is able to enter the current Terrain of 
   unit that is being attacked.
5. Enemy attacking does not use an ALL attack.

IF a unit that does Support Defence has Bushin as an unit ability, it 
will still have a chance to evade the incoming attack, thus both units 
will not be damaged if Bushin activates.

カウンター (Counter) - 20 PP for Lv1, +5 PP per additional level

Pilot's chances of activating Counter during Enemy Phase increases. 
Counter percentage is calculated as follows:

[(Pilot skill - Enemy skill)/10 + Counter Level]/16

E.g. Gilliam has Lv 4 Counter, 178 Skill, Enemy has 146 skill:

[(178-146)/10 + 4]/16 = 45% chance of activating Counter.

Growth Style: On top of their base stats, each pilot will have a

Ace Pilot Bonus: When a pilot reaches 50 kills, he or she will have the 
                 Ace mark on his or her pilot status lighted up. On top 
                 of starting every scenario with an extra 5 morale (ie 
                 starting at 105 morale instead of 100) as well as  
                 gaining 1.2x cash per kill, every pilot will have a 
                 specific Ace bonus that will further power them up at 
                 no extra cost.


Relationship Bonus: Relationships first turned up in Original 
                    Generation 2 as a form of extra bonuses based on 
                    how the characters treat each other in the two 
                    games (and some of them being links from the games 
                    they came from). While it was in mainstream SRWs, 
                    this was the first time that there were different 
                    types of relationships. There are basically 3 types 
                    of Relations: Friendship, Love, Rival.

Friendship - +5% to Hit and Evasion
Love       - +4% to damage
Rival      - +5% to Critical rate

You gain relationship bonuses only when related characters are NEXT to 
the unit that's attacking/being attacked. In Twins, the bonus level is 
increased by 1 between the 2 members of the Twins. 

For example, Kyosuke has a Lv3 Love bonus when Excellen is next to him 
(+12% damage). However, if Kyosuke Twins up with Excellen, the Love 
Bonus is increased by 1 level, and is now Lv4 (+16% damage).


Furthermore, Relationship bonuses do Stack when a unit is next to a 
Twinned unit.

Again, using Kyosuke as an example, if he's next to a Twinned Brooklyn 
and Zengar, he gets at Friendship Lv4 bonus (20% to Hit and Evasion).

6.4 Special Weapons [MENU4]
===================

In the course of the game you will often find enemies with different 
kinds of barriers. The most irritating of which is the Distortion Field 
(歪曲フィールド), which halves all incoming damage, applicable to a number 
of bosses in the game.

The following weapons will be able to pierce through the Distortion 
Field (バリア貴通) as well as any other Barriers (Beam Absorb, E-Field, 
amongst others), so make sure to upgrade them as much as possible. 

Another thing to note is that all Combination Attacks nullify barriers 
as well, so make sure to upgrade those related weapons. These are 
described more in-depth in the next section.

These weapons will become very important, especially in EX-Hard mode, 
where you can't upgrade weapons.

6.5 Combination Attacks [MENU5]
=======================

Combination Attacks require specific pilots in specific units before 
they can be seen on the weapons menu on the map. Furthermore, the 2/3 
units must be within touching distance of each other before the attack 
is selectable.


For example, in the diagrams below, it is possible to do Formation R 
with anyone in a straight, diagonal or curved formation, as long as the 
three units are "touching" each other, so to speak.

Like it was mentioned in the last section, all Combination Attacks will 
nullify barriers, making them the most deadly attacks of all. However, 
all Combination Attacks will have morale and energy requirements needed 
for both pilots and units.

The Combination Attacks take into account specific unit weapons when 
doing the attack damage calculation, averaging them up before giving it 
an extra damage multiplier. Any Gunfight/Infight modifiers are added 
AFTER the damage multiplier on top of the original weapon 
Gunfight/Infight modifiers, making them absolute monsters.


For example, Rampage Ghost uses the Revolving Stake (base 3700) and 
Oxtongue Launcher W (base 4500) as it's weapons. Averaging out the 
attacks will mean it has a base attack power of 4100, given a damage 
multiplier of 1.4 means its starting attack power (on-screen) would be 
6150.


Furthermore, some attacks will also take into account as to which stat 
is being taken into consideration by the pilot initiating the attack.


Again using Rampage Ghost as an example, it calculates damage using 
Kyosuke's Melee stat if he initiates it, but uses Excellen's Shooting 
stat if she initiates it.


As a final topping, if you Twin up units involved in a Combination 
Attack (Formation R not withstanding), you get an ADDITIONAL bonus of 
1.2x of the final damage on top of everything else.

When you fully upgrade a unit's stats, you will be given 6 options as a 
"bonus" for using up the cash to power it up so much. The first five

7.3 ORIGINAL GENERATION 2.5 [OG2.5MAIN]

The OG2.5 route opens up once you clear OG2. Upon loading the CLEAR 
DATA, you will be given a choice, either to return to OG1, replay OG2 
or go on to the NEXT scenarios, which is basically the 2.5 route. Note 
that the game will be recorded as a OG2 save file, thus all pilots and 
units will retain their OG2 stats.

There are no route splits in the OG 2.5 route.

As per Original Generation and Original Generation 2, this walkthrough 
will assume that you're always on Hard difficulty with full skill 
points. Enemy numbers for lower difficulties will be added in due time.

Skill Point Guide - Concentrate, then melee the initial Gunscet to the 
                    west. Counterattack where possible. Take out the 
                    furtherst Gunscet with Dragon Fire on turn 2, 
                    counter everything else to gain the skill point.

Kouta and the 2 mysterious allies all start off at 150 morale, so 
dealing all-round damage isn't a problem. Once 3 enemies are left, or 
on player phase 4 the Valfor will suddenly turn and attack Kouta, after 
which both of the mysterious allies-turned-enemies will make a run for 
it.

Kai and Lamia appear to chase them, but both of them will help Kouta 
out to clean up the map.


Skill Point Guide - Split up both of the allies to take on the 
                    Barrelions. Use Kouta to take out everything else 
                    along the way, working northwest. Kai and Lamia can 
                    take out the southern enemies with no problems.

Move up to the enemies slowly, using Yuuki and Ratsel to weaken the 
Twins where possible. By the time you're facing the Barrelions, Murata 
and his reinforcements should appear. Make sure to take out his minions 
first before reducing him to below 19,000 HP, which is when he will 
retreat and end the scenario.


Skill Point Guide - Yuuki to take out the southern Landlion twins, 
                    Carla to take out the northern Lion Vs. Make sure 
                    that all the twins are at least weakened by Player 
                    Phase 2 with Ratsel also helping out so as to 
                    finish them off during the enemy turn.

The most important task is to protect the Ladybird on the first few 
turns. Try not to let it get hit too much as you send your forces over. 
Once the Mironga appears, it can pretty much handle itself on the 
southern end of the map, so all you really need to do is to clear up 
the enemies on the northern half of the map.


Skill Point Guide - Take out the planes ASAP. They will ignore all 
                    player units and go after the Ladybird. The rest of 
                    the enemies will follow the same "nearest first" 
                    AI, so there's no worry as long as you place one of 
                    your units in between them and the Ladybird.

It's Ibis vs Lamia and Latouni on one side, Bullet and Kusuha vs Arado 
and Seolla on the other. Use seishins accordingly, since they will be 
refilled at the end of the first part. Once you have defeated the 
foursome, all of them will join up to take on the Mirongas. 

Watch out, all the Mirongas will autocast Flash, Concentrate and 
Accelerate during the enemy turn, so you will need to fully utilise 
your seishins for this part. Easiest would be to let the Sanshiki take 
the brunt of the attacks with Iron Wall active.

Once you've taken out 3 of the Mirongas, all the remaining Mirongas 
will be fully repaired and will autocast Flash, Lock-On, Iron Wall, 
Concentrate and Accelerate during the enemy phase. Thankfully you only 
need to focus on one more of them to get through the scenario.


Skill Point Guide - Let the Sanshiki be the bait, counter any 3 of the 
                    enemies with the Boost Knuckle to remove their 
                    Flash, then off them in the next turn. No point
                    spreading out your damage since they will 
                    autorecover once you down 3 of them.

Use the Compatikaiser to weaken the Bartolls where possible so as to 
make it easier when the foursome arrive on turn 3 (or earlier). Take

Defeat one more (let them come) to trigger the appearance of the ART-1 
as well as the rest of the Hagane crew. Simple mop-up from here on.


Skill Point Guide - Pretty much the same as the first scenario, move in 
                    to weaken, then counter 3 of the Bartolls to pieces 
                    by the end of the second enemy turn. Try to take 
                    out the northernmost Bartoll first.

None of the initial enemies will attack on turn 1. Use Concentrate on 
Turn 2 and let Ibis fly in to grab all the aggro. Ryuune's hit rate 
will be pretty pathatic against the Mirongas, but try not to use Lock-
On so early on.

Rishu will appear with seishins ablaze on Turn 3. Attack Murata with 
him only, since the ladies will pretty much get sliced to pieces. Make 
sure to push him down to below 45% only on your turn, otherwise you'll 
be facing quite a barrage of Mirongas hot on your tail. 

Kyle and co will appear on the northern edge of the map, and Masaki 
will appear not too far from him. Use all remaining SP to take out the 
Mirongas, and if you have anything left to deal with Kyle and his 
Bushin-enabled Mironga, use it now, or just wait it out if you don't 
have enough Lock-Ons.


Skill Point Guide - Only Rishu can go toe to toe with Murata. On turn 3 
                    the Reishiki will have automatic Iron Wall, so make 
                    full use of it to chop the Mumyou up during both 
                    phases. You'll have to use Invincible and counter 
                    during the enemy phase from turn 4 onwards so as 
                    not to be taken down before you can chase him off.

You start off with the Kurogane crew. Make sure Raul, Zengar and Ratsel 
get the bulk of the initial kills, so as to build morale for them
against the bosses later on.

Once you've dealt with the initial enemies, the 2 bosses and their 
clumps of twins will appear around them. Raul will fly down to aid 
Kouta, so he'll be out of frame switching range for a turn or two.

As for the bosses, it's highly suggested to focus fire on the Dugatail. 
While it's harder to hit it, the Dugatail only has 130,000 HP as 
compared to the 140,000 HP Eleos (plus the Eleoth pilot has Guard too, 
only serving to drag the battle longer). Make sure the Compatible 
Kaiser is on the ground to make use of the extra 20% defensive bonus 
during the enemy turn. Make sure Raul is also next to Kouta to make use 
of his Support Attacks. Both bosses will have E-Field, so use all the 
standard Barrier Piercing attacks (and Raul's Hot Blood) of your 4 main 
attacks.

Dugatail will automatically go after the Compatible Kaiser, Eleoth will 
automatically go after the Excellence, both will only start 2 turns 
after they appear.


Skill Point Guide - Tight time limit means that you should attempt to 
                    clear out all the initial enemies by turn 2 so that 
                    you can have at least 3 turns to take Tess down to 
                    below 39,000 HP. The Garioka reinforcements MAY 
                    simply go after the Excellence, or will gravitate 
                    towards closest first, so be warned if they decide 
                    to hit on the Kurogane and run its energy reserves 
                    down before you have a chance to start drilling the 
                    Dugatail. Strongest attacks will work, use Carla + 
                    Yuuki's long range to deal maximum damage only when 
                    it's out of EN.

Ouch. This scenario isn't fun at all. Not only are you facing 
overwhelming numbers of ODEed enemies, you're going to have to deal 
with a super Kyle AND Murata mixing things up.

The starting enemies are pretty alright. I suggest placing an Anti-Dust 
Module on the AX so that it will be S on Land and then also make use of 
the forested area at the start to dodge properly. Ibis and Masaki will 
most likely be at the forefront of all action. Concentrate every turn 
for the both of them, and I'll also suggest giving the AX the Linear 
Missile Launcher during the intermission to clean up the initial set of 
enemies as fast as possible.

Let Masaki deal with the enemies on the eastern front, let Ibis deal 
with everything else while staying put in the forest. Ryuune should NOT 
use any SP at all in the initial turns of the scenarios, Rishu should 
save up SP for multiple Invincibles against Murata later on.

Kyle will always go after Ryuune, Murata will always go after Rishu. 

Once your player forces arrive, Kyle will amp up the ODE system to 
100%, meaning that he now autocasts Awaken, Lock-On, Concentrate and 
Flash every enemy turn. As an added adventage to him, you only have 3 
turns to take him out before the entire place goes up in flames.

Using the Valsione as a bait, draw Kyle close to your main forces (take 
out the surrounding Bartolls to gain morale in the first two turns) 
before you take him out on the final turn. Make sure that she uses 
Flash to use up one of his End Breakers and Defend on the second 
attack. Heal her up on your phase before repeating the process. 
Remember to use up his Flash as well by countering his first attack 
with anything.

Kyle's Mironga has 88,000 HP, but is still prey to the non-existant 
armour (read: 1000) of the Mironga series. It won't take much to take 
him down, but make sure that those attacking him must be able to 
withstand his counterattacks.


Skill Point Guide - Speed is the key here. You'll need to let Ibis and 
                    Masaki literally clean up everything in the way 
                    first. Once the second set of enemies pop up along 
                    with the rest of your crew I suggest letting Ryoto 
                    and Rio take out the far-eastern bunch of twins 
                    with the Gunner's Graviton Rifle. Let the Hagane 
                    and one other take out the far western bunch, Shu 
                    to take out the southeastern bunch. The main 
                    problems will be to deal with the southewestern 
                    bunch, you HAVE to let them come to you instead of 
                    going after them. 

                    The Bartolls' maximum range is 8, with a nice range 
                    3 post-movement attack, so placing a high-dodging 
                    unit (Rein Weiss is the obvious choice here) 9 
                    squares away will allow you to at least dodge and 
                    weaken all of them before the clean out on the 
                    second turn. Tetsuya probably needs to use the last 
                    turn to take out any remainders, but you probably 
                    won't want to risk him against Kyle anyway.

You start off with the Hiryu Kai and the Octopus platoon. Let Leona 
take the lead with Concentrate, within Lefina's Command sphere and 
Tasuki next to her, she can pretty much counter everything for everyone 
to clean up on the following turn. Repeat x3, and you should have no 
problems cleaning up the initial set of Bartolls.

Once Srey comes along to help out, the Hiryu crew will then teleport 
out of the picture towards the Hellgate, leaving her alone against the 
remaining numbers of Bartolls. Concentrate and Accelerate to the debris 
formation, throwing out Sonic Cutters and countering with Homing 
Missiles (G Driver's hit rate is too low to chance it) while waiting 
for the Kurogane crew.

Once they arrive, unleash hell on the Bartolls. The enemy 
reinforcements will show up very quickly, so make sure Gilliam is there 
to offset any potential danger to the "slower" units. 

From here on, it's to take out or force one of the 3 bosse that will 
start ganging on your group to retreat to end the scenario proper. 
Focus on one of them, the easiest is naturally Folka, and dodge the 
rest. Take note that the Jaldabaoth and Agares have Bushin, so Lock-On 
is paramount.


Skill Point Guide - The Jaldabaoth has 80,000 HP, and Folka will 
                    retreat once he's below 25% HP, so you'll have to 
                    find some way to deal at least 20,000 HP in one 
                    shot. Luckily for you, Zengar and Kouta will learn 
                    Hot Blood once they gain a level respectively, so 
                    all you need is to maintain at least 50-60 SP 
                    before they take on Folka. 

                    Use Raul, Ratsel, Gilliam, Carla and Yuuki to 
                    weaken him first (he has Bushin, so count Srey 
                    out), twin up the Daizengar and Compatikaiser for 
                    their respective Hot Blooded finishers to take him 
                    out.

Wellcome to Hell...gate.

You'll need to rush either the Hagane or the Hiryu Kai towards that one 
particular glowing spot on the Hellgate, and it's stoutly defended by 
hordes of Bartolls. Decimate as many as possible as fast as possible, 
so that their hit and evasion rates tumble before they get nastier. 
Make sure that Masaki and Ryuune get up to around 130-140 morale too.

Once you move the ships closer to your goal however, and that's usually 
on turn 3 if you move them to the maximum amount of steps, the ODE-
controlled Bartolls that have 4 of the captured pilots will appear. 
STILL with 7700 HP, and you MUST reduce them to below 770 HP or it's 
Game Over.

The simple trick would be for Masaki to get Lock-On (most likely 
requires Mai or Radha to give it to him though), top up with Hot Blood 
and Cyflash them. That SHOULD take them down to critical HP without 
blowing them up, IF Masaki dosen't have Attacker beforehand. If it's 
too strong, you'll have to back up a little with a normal Cyflash + 
normal Psycho Blaster. Barring any criticals, that should be enough to 
take them out. If both attacks are still too strong though, you'll need 
Rishu and Sean's Mercy to deal with the situation.

One other thing to note here. Once enemy numbers fall below 10, there 
will be an infinite number of spawns around the Hellgate. 3 each on the 
north and western side of the winning condition point, 2 each on the 
far eastern and far southern edge of the Hellgate.

Make sure to protect the ships as they approach the designated point. 
It's not going to be fun when they get cut off or surrounded by the 
reinforcements.


Skill Point Guide - To defeat 80 Bartolls, you'll need them to keep 
                    coming in waves once you clean up the initial 
                    batch. The first trigger will probably happen on 
                    turn 3 as you have to save the 4 captured pilots. 
                    To achieve this easily, you will need to send 
                    someone with a high damage, long-ranged, and most 
                    importantly, free, attack to hit the 6 continual 
                    spawns near the target entrance point of the ships. 
                    The Mironga's End Breaker is one such attack, only 
                    requirement being that you need the pilot to be at 
                    130 morale.

                    Leona or Excellen will most likely to be the best 
                    possible candidate for this task, and I'll choose 
                    the former as the Rein Weissritter is useful in its 
                    own right with ALL attacks. With full upgrades to 
                    its mobility and Concentrate on, the Mironga will 
                    be unhittable. 5-6 slots of upgrades to the End 
                    Breaker will also spell instant death for the 
                    Bartolls. 

                    To deal with the duo spawns on the south and 
                    eastern front, you'll probably need to Twin up 
                    units that complement each other in terms of ranged 
                    or melee ability, for example the Ganduro with the 
                    R-1, Grungust with Alt Eisen Riese. It's all up to 
                    you on how you want to Twin them up.

                    The reinforcement Bartolls' first instinct will be 
                    to melee the closest enemy, so with the correct 
                    placement you can pretty much stick them into an 
                    infinite loop of respawns to meet the target of 80 
                    kills during enemy turns 3 and 4.

It's the final battle. Make sure beforehand to upgrade the armour of 
your super robots, especially the energy reserves of the SRX, R-Gun 
Powered, Alt Eisen Riese, Rein Weissritter, Wild Wurger and Wild 
Falken. Theser units will be your only combination attacks, and will 
come in handy in this final scenario.

By now you should know full well to place Kai in a unit that can throw 
Armour Breakers about during a boss fight, so do that as well if you 
haven't done so yet.

Most of your regular pilots should be able to learn SP Recovery as 
well, this is one of THE most important skills at this point of time, 
as you're heavily short of firepower in terms of SP.

The initial batch of Bartolls are innocent enough. Lamia's Bartoll will 
have 98,000 HP and Bushin, so Lock-On is a must. You MUST defeat Lamia 
with Kyosuke, otherwise it'll just recover 10% HP whenever you attempt 
to blow it up. As it is, save as much of your EN and SP when taking on 
her. 

Jurgen's Valsion, when it appears, will have 300,000 HP, 2200 armour, 
Distortion Field, but thankfully no HP Recovery. However, it is 
somewhat flanked by Bartoll/Mironga + Giganspada twins, which you 
shouldn't really bother. Your main firepower will come from the 
Combination attacks naturally. Bullet's Sanshiki will now have Kusuha 
back, so it's Shishioh Blade will no longer have EN costs. It will be 
one of the more efficient units once your hard hitters run out of EN or 
Seishin, though Kusuha's Iron Wall is a must to keep it up. Make sure 
that it's the one right in front of the Valsion Kai during the enemy 
turn to chip away at it.

You're low on firepower, so most likely it'll be impossible to one-turn 
him in this case. There shouldn't be a problem getting rid of him by 
the second turn of course. Don't wait too long, or the ODE system will 
start to go haywire with its hit/dodge modifiers.

Once you have downed Jurgen, the scenario, and prologue of SRW OG 2.5 
officially ends.

PHEW. Took a long break from writing for a long time (since 2002), 
finally decided to plunge full-force into making one for the masses. 
After all, one needs to do these stuff from time to time just as not to 
lose touch :P

In other words, please do not seek help for something I have not yet
written as my memory does not serve me that well. Of course there is
the message boards at GameFAQs from where you can seek help from all
the time.

Once I have this completed up, I'll gladly answer any questions on
parts which may sound uncertain or confusing, in which there are 
definately many with the different playing styles.

This one will follow me to the end. This I promise!
