========================= A Few Notes Before Starting =========================

[1] This Guide will be focused on completing the Collectables Lists.
    - Frequently during the game you will be able to make different decisions
      on what path to take. If there is no significant difference I will leave
      these choices up to you.  If however a specific answer is requred in
      order to be able to obtain a collectable I will be telling you which
      option to choose.

    - As of this version 0.9 there are still two collectables I have to find.
      Everything else is here. The missing two collectables will be added when
      They are found and the guide will be updated to version 1.0.

[2] The game requres at least two runs.
    - Due to the way the game is influenced by the different decisions you make
      as you progress, there are several significant aspects you will miss by
      taking one path over another. As there is no way to see all the major
      components of the game in one run, this guides walkthrough section will
      be done in two parts. FIRST RUN and SECOND RUN. This will cover most of
      the minor and all of the major branches of the game.

[3] This guide will be ordered, but not formal.
    - I have great respect for writers who can do this, but it is not for me.
      I will be having fun with this guide.
      This means that on occasion I will be adding Narrative, including what I
      consider an interesting observation, or plain poking fun at those game
      aspects that stand out as requiring a mention.  If I am going to go to
      the effort of writing this guide, I want to be able to enjoy myself while
      I am doing it. Also, I am simply am not dedicated or disciplined enough
      to do it in a formal manner. :)

[4] THIS GUIDE WILL INCLUDE SPOILERS!
    - Writing the guide in a way that would not include spoilers would require
      far too much effort, and I am too lazy to be bothered.
    - For True.
    - Honestly
    - Consider this your first, and possibly only warning.
    - This guide will assume you do not care about spoilers (major or minor)
      and that you are playing the game for the first time. If you would prefer
      NOT to have spoilers, then I can NOT recommend you use this guide. In
      fact I strongly recommend you play the game at least once by yourself
      first. Its all cool.  Go on.  I will wait.

    - Done? Ready to play again and get all those compasses, Clothes etc? Don't
      care about spoilers and just want to get into it?

Possibly one of the cutest concepts of the game. From a player perspective.
Welcome to the Del Ray Relief Center.  Why does this place even exist?  It is
almost as if they expect what is about to happen! I can't help but be amused
by the prophetic nature of the whole thing.

While you are in here, take your time to look around.  The two other clients
have some helpful, amusing, and sometimes quite complimentary things to say.
Your Guide also has plenty to say, most of which is useful.  Special mention
must be made of the Cleaning Lady upstairs.  Talk to her early on while she is
cleaning the up stairs rooms. She is perfectly nice to you, until you tell her
to hurry up. Then the claws come out. It makes entering room 2 even funnier if
you talk to her before going in there. Classic!

Everything here is VERY simple to follow. Just pay attention to what your guide
tells you and it will all work out just grand.  The best part? it is actually
a very competent tutorial.  Almost everything you will need to know in order
to tackle the game proper is right here.  Its great when games have these sorts
of tutorials what stand separate from the game. Unless you are the sort that
jumps into the deep end without looking, of course.

There are 5 rooms in total in the Del Ray Relief Center.  As you finish one you
move on to the next.  When you finish each room the awesome Geo will give you
a stamp that reflects how well you did in that room. Once you have finished all
five rooms you will get a score and a rank.  You will also get your first

Which for most of you will be the main reason you even bother with this at all.

==== THE FIRST RUN OF THE GAME ============ GETTING AS MUCH DONE AS WE CAN ====

Hit [START] and chose "Start Game".  I recommend choosing "EASY" as this Guide
is about collecting which requires quite a bit of exploration.  "Normal"
(or "HARD" if you have unlocked it with a previous play through) reduce the
time you have to comfortably do this. If you want to face up to the challenge
then go right ahead, but be prepared to get frustrated at your constant use of
food, frequent stops to change into dry clothes, inability to move at top
speed often, etc.

You will be taken to the Character selection screen.  You only have "Joshua
Harwell" at this point.  You can use the right analogue stick to move him
around if you want to check out his nice butt or whatever if you like.  You can
also zoom him in and out with [L2] and [R2] if you like. Once you are finished
perving on his hot hotness, hit [X].  You will be given the option to change
His Name if you wish.  No real point to that but feel free.  I will be
referring to him as "Joshua".  If you are happy with his name just chose "no".

Watch the Intro movie.  "Safest City Ever"?? bwahaha!  Yeah. God loves a
challenge! :)

You need to hit [X] to progress through dialogue.  You can also use [X] to Skip
it, which considering the voice acting is probably a good thing if you
wish to preserve your IQ.  I personally love the horrid voice acting.  It
absolutely adds invaluable amounts to the overall "B Movie" feel of the game.

You will come to your first DIALOGUE OPTION.  These are VERY common.  They can
significantly change the gameplay depending on your choice, or, they can simply
be for amusement.  Even the choices that have absolutely no affect on the
overall game still have their own little ways of being different.  As such I am
going to mostly leave the choice up to you unless it is a major conversation.

Before heading off to perform your duty there are a few smaller things that can
be taken care of now.  In fact some can ONLY be done now, so lets get them out
of the way so we don't miss them.

Before even taking a step, hit [SQUARE] and go into the menu. Press left or
Right until you come to "Info" then go down to "Relationship".  In here right
now you only have four entries. Joshua, Stephanie, the Mayor and Head Waiter.
you can read about major (and some not so major) characters in the game with
this.  As you progress through the game more characters and information about
them will be added as different events happen that relate to them.  I want you
to know that this is here now, because I found it of great interest to watch
this develop and do not want you to miss it. Of course you CAN play the entire
game and never even bother checking this.  It has no use within the game what
so ever but it is a very interesting thing that you would not want to miss if
you are the sort of person who wants complete immersion.

While I will refer to this page occasionally, I will NOT be mentioning
every single time a character gets added, or their information is updated so
if you are interested you will just have to remember to keep checking it
yourself.

Go and talk to "Mr Sardoch". He is really easy to spot as he looks like a
Japanese guy with blonde hair and is dressed as a waiter.
...
What?  not specific enough?  Hmm.. Ok then.  From when you first gain control
of Joshua walk straight ahead (south) and "Mr Sardoch" is the waiter standing
in front of the long table to your left.  He may actually be the second waiter
you come to, as there is another guy who wanders a bit and stands next to him.
He will talk about "Stephanie" and tell you they have the same Locker Number
(B1). Note that he seems a little taken with Stephanie.  Stalker? So now we
know he is evil we should feel no guilt in rummaging through the contents of
his locker.  We will be doing that later.

(Note: you can NOT check the locker of "Mr Sardoch" unless you talk to him
before you fetch the food from the kitchen. After you do that, he will no
longer talk to you about his little crush, and you will never be able to rob
the greasy slimeballs stuff.)

Look South West from where you are and you will see a Woman kneeling down. Go
up to her CAREFULLY and talk to her.  Agree to help her look. (you must agree
to help to do this part). Now Kneel down and wait to see a sort of sparkle in
the carpet.  CAREFULLY crawl towards it and use the circle button to pick it
up.

Go into the game menu [SQUARE] and under "Item" move down to "give".  The name
"Female Customer" should slide out.  If not you just need to get a little
closer to her and try again.  Press [X] and go to "Contact Lens" and hit [X]
again to give it to her.

There is a guy in a brown suit standing alone by a table on the west side of
the hall. If you talk to him he asks for more booze. What a guy.  One at every
party.  You can suggest he has had enough, but it will get you scolded by the
head waiter.

Note that if you kneel down while NOT looking for the Lens the head waiter will
run over to you and scold you.  It is quite amusing so go ahead and try it. It
will also give you some amusing DIALOGUE OPTIONS when you talk to Stephanie
that are possibly worth a read.  She also has some things to say about the
woman with the missing contact lens and the drunk, depending on what order you
attend to those two customers.  You need to talk to her BEFORE getting the
food from the kitchen in order to see them, so do that now if you wish. I do
not think there is a way to see all three of these in one game. None of them
appear to have any purpose other than casual banter, so don't stress too
much over which one you get.

If you talk to the totally awesome Mascot he will be added to the RELATIONSHIP
page. This mascot is totally awesome, and totally pointless, so you simply
have to talk to him to experience his awesome pointlessness. :)

Another way to get scolded by the head waiter is to use [L1] to call out. heh.

There is a large set of doors at the north end of the room.  On each side of
these doors are raised platforms with press gathered on them.  You can not
interact with them, but go take a look anyway. See the guy on the right that
is not quite like the others?  He is in a brown Jacket, dark grey pants, and
leaning on a crutch?  hmm...

You can leave through these doors.  There are a few people scattered around to
talk to. None of them actually lead to anything. They are only there for
ambience.  You can walk through the water features and get "mothered" by the
maid. You can only do this once.  Joshua will refuse to do it again after. One
of the Hostesses seems to like the head Waiter.  The Guard will not let you go
into the hall he is near.  The couple near the banister around the giant water
feature are a little worried about the rain (ooh!  Foreboding!).  The news on
the TV is talking about the rain (more foreboding!). The Maid is humming to
herself (She gets added to RELATIONSHIP when you interact with her. She is
called "Janitor".) There is a poor guy in the gents who seems to be having a
bit of a time about it. (You actually find out who this is later). A woman
shrieks at you if you go into the ladies room. That sort of stuff. Check them
out if you like but it is all totally skippable. Lets duck in there anyway to
get a collectable item. It is on the floor along the south wall just a little
bit west of the doors with the "Staff Only" sign in front.

See that amazingly obvious floating blue arrow?  Yep.  Almost everything you
can pick up in the game that is of any relevance has this. Nice and convenient.
Use [CIRCLE] to pick it up.

You can either "equip" the compass, which will make it appear as the game
compass in the lower right of the screen, or just "TAKE IT".  This will add it
to your list of compasses in your menu.  Any Compass that has yet to be
equipped in game will be marked as "new" on this list.

There is a storage room off the north side just behind where you picked up that
compass with a Heater in it and some Blue Arrows items.  This is your first
"Survival point".  These are all over the game and are used for cooking,
warming up, and saving the game. They are always marked with the Yellow Arrow.

You need pots to cook in.  The soup is what you cook in the pot. You can only
cook at SURVIVAL POINTS for now, but there are some other ways to cook I will
mention when they come up in the game. Different foods have different 
properties. It may pay you to note these once you pick them up. You can see
what each food does once consumed by reading its description in your menu. It
is a good idea to try keep a pot in the menu as you never know when you will
want to use it.

Its time to head for the Kitchen.  You can find it on your Map [R3] (you can
access it in the menu as well). The map has post-its on it that act as
reminders for what you are doing and have done. Your character is the pulsing
circle with the arrow showing the direction they are facing.  The Kitchen is
clearly labelled. To get there, go through the doors with the "Staff Only" sign
in front of them. Go south along the hall, then west.  The kitchen is to the
north off this hall.  You will get a SCENE with the Head Chef when you walk in.
This scene will show you how to move the cart. Will do this soon. First
turn around and find a chef who is wandering around (the one who is not the
Head Chef). Talk to him and he will ask you to get a recipe from his locker
(F-5).  Oh, the Head Chef is now listed in RELATIONSHIP.

For some useless chuckles get Joshua to crawl [R1] under the shelves in the
back (north) of the kitchen.  Check the box in here to find the awesome "Geo"
Mascot costume.  You can try it on! Cool!  Unfortunately you can not get back
through the hole in the shelves while wearing it, so no playing the game as the
awesome mascot.  Bother!  Oh.. and the head chef will scold you for slack off.
Always worth a smile. heh.

Grab [circle] the Serving trolley and return to the Banquet Hall. Its west out
the Kitchen door, north through the doors at the end, then west again through
the next set of doors. Take it over to Stephanie.  DIALOGUE OPTION to help or
leave it up to her. DIALOGUE OPTION to help (or not) carry the plates. If you
chose to help, and then run while carrying them, you will drop them.  You will
also drop them if you bump into anyone.  Clumsy fellow is our Joshua.

Stephanie will be sent elsewhere and you will be told to continue serving the
guests in the hall. Before you do that, go back into the room past the north
doors (If the head waiter stops you, just tell him you need to use the loo.) to
find Stephanie with a lost little girl. Talk to her for DIALOGUE OPTION. If
you chose to help you can find the girl's mother just outside the Ladies room.

Head back into the banquet hall. Now is a good time to supply the drunk with
more alcohol. Go grab the trolley and take it over to him.

If you talk to any of the other waiters they will tell you to pay extra
attention to the Mayor.  Subtle. He is talking to a group of press in the south
west corner of the hall. Go over there for DIALOGUE OPTION. you must chose "Yes
sir" to move the game forward. The other two just get Joshua scolded by the
head waiter (again. The chuckles never end). You also find out who the poor
fellow in the Gents was.

Head back to the kitchen through the doors you just came from.  You will see
Stephanie talking to someone who dashes off.  You can talk to her for
DIALOGUE OPTION, then she will head back into the Banquet hall. Hey, what's
with the water on the floor here?  Head through the doors to your left to catch
a glimpse of two security guards and a Maintenance man go past the end of the
hall. If you try to follow then they will be gone. Must be in the room the
security guard will not let you in.  Ah well.  Just go into the Kitchen.

You will find the head Chef on the phone. Go talk to him to hear him complain
about the water and the gas being cut off. Joshua will then ask for the Mayor's
water and it will appear on the counter with a blue arrow. Go pick it up .

If you run while carrying the water, you will spill it.  If you spill too much
you will start to get wet. The more you spill, the Wetter you get. The wetter
you get the colder you get.  If you get too cold you will freeze to death. In
other words DO NOT RUN.  Lets face it. Freezing to death due to being splashed
with Mineral Water is entirely undignified and should be avoided. Imagine the
obituary for that one! Poor Joshua's mother would be totally embarrassed! 

Turn back towards the doors to see Stephanie talking to the head waiter. They
will go off to the left (east) down the hall.  Seems She has found another
water leak! You can talk to her for a short scene. You can not follow her as
Joshua will refuse to go through those doors once you get to them. Head back to
the banquet hall past the kitchen instead.

You will see a woman walk past the doors as you approach. You will find her
just to the left as you walk through the doors examining the water. Talk to her
for DIALOGUE OPTION, then she ask you a favor. DIALOGUE OPTION to help or not.
You can chose not to help her out, but that would lead to you missing an item
for your collectables, and therefore defeat the purpose of this walkthrough, so
choose to help.

Sophie is now added to RELATIONSHIP. She is listed as "Energetic Woman". Cute.
You can put the Water Pitcher down on the small table here so you can run.

Head back towards the water leak you were just looking at with Stephanie. As
you approach the Head waiter will round the corner.  Talk to him for DIALOGUE
OPTION.  Ask about the uniform (you ONLY get this if you agree to help Sophie)
and he will tell you to check the box near the vending machine. Turn left
(north) and head down the hall until you see a red vending machine. Next to it
is a yellow box with red writing.  IF you check that box now Joshua will find

If you try checking the box at any other time, Joshua will refuse to look. That
is why you MUST agree to help Sophie to get that Waitress Uniform.

While you are here, you can use the copy machine behind Joshua to get

You can only do this once because as in real life the copy machine stops
working after just one use.

Go back to Sophie and give the Waitress uniform to her (use the "give" from the
menu) and she will give you

Go back and pick up the Water Pitcher (If you put it down) and take it to the
Mayor. You will get a scene here (the dialogue changes slightly depending on
how long you took to get the water for him).

Wow! That can not be a good thing!

Once the scene is over Joshua will be outside the Kitchen. "Man in Blue Suit"
has been added to RELATIONSHIP.  This is that poor chap who keeps having to go
into the loo.

From this point on the Characters will be spending the majority of the game
getting wet, so remember to keep an eye on the gauge in the bottom left corner
of the screen. This is when you need to keep the characters as dry and warm as
possible. The excitement starts now! :D

Walk straight ahead and the Mayor and a Construction worker will show up.  If
you stop to talk to them "Construction worker" will be added to RELATIONSHIP.
Go left (north) ignoring the ladder with the green arrow for now (you can't use
it until later) and go into the Men's Locker room to the left for two blue
arrows.

You can NOT check this locker if you did not talk to the chef earlier. If you
came in here before giving the water to the mayor you could have actually taken
the recipe and given it to the chef who asked for it, but it achieves nothing
doing that.  Now you get to keep it. Sounds pretty delish when you read it, so
SCORE. Might have to try it some day.

Now go to locker (B-1) which is "Mr Sardoch's"(Joshua will remind you his
locker is (A-5) as you walk towards it) and pilfer that perv's stuffs. This is
only possible if you spoke to "Mr Sardoch" earlier as pointed out earlier in
the guide.

See! the dude is a stalker!  You will have the option to take it or leave it.
If you do take it, you can check the locker again for the option to put it back
Why do that? I say keep it! You know.. For Great Justice!

Now go to Joshua's locker to get a blue arrow.

Joshua will automatically equip it once you take it. You can now carry more
stuff. This is a good thing. Carrying Stuff is a major part of what this game
is about. Appreciate the Knapsack!

Leave the Locker room now and head North up the hall (woo.. little bit shaky
round these parts. Watch your step. heh) and out the doors into the foyer. Go
dry off and save if you need to, then go towards the Toilets for a scene with
Sophie. Go around the room and talk to each of the guests. They will comment
on Joshua's Knapsack. Obviously they do not respect. Losers. The last guest you
talk to will tell you that the Mayor's assistant is back in the loo again. Oh
that poor poor man. Go check up on him. You will get a scene as you enter the
room. Things will get rather worse and you will be told about your "BT" and its
role within the game.

Leave the restroom (you can crawl through the hole in the wall, but its easier
just to walk out the door) and turn right (west) to find the shutters down and
the head waiter on the other side directing people to safety. Shout out to him
[L1] for a scene with him telling you to check the ladies locker room for
Stephanie and to not forget your backpack. Head Waiter respects! What a guy.
Pity he is also blind, as if you have been following the guide you will already
have the knapsack on you back.

There are two holes in the south wall. Both lead into the Kitchen so just pick
one and crawl through. One of the hotplates in here acts as a save point now.
Head out of the Kitchen and return to the Banquet Hall. You can now go up onto
the stage without being stopped.  Behind the Left backdrop is

This stuff is extremely useful. Just ask MacGuyver!  The stuff you can do with
it will save your life.  If you want to see, go into your menu, to "assemble"
and take a look.  Because you now have tape, you can make FOUR different things
that will quite possibly mean the difference between life and death. Of course
you still need to find the other parts, but the tape is a very good start.

At this point you can go into the Foyer for a scene with the Head Waiter
telling you again to go find Stephanie.  You can also talk to the guests for
some amusing comments.  Or you could just skip that and head straight to the
ladies locker room.  If you did not find it yet, its right next to the men's
locker room. As you are heading there note the door on the right of the hall.
It has water coming out all over the place. Feeling dangerous?  If so, go ahead
and open it.

If you wait around for a little while, you will hear Stephanie call for help.

Try to open the Door to the ladies locker room for a scene.  Remember that
Ladder with the green arrow above it?  Now is when you need it.  Go grab it
(south back down the hall) and bring it back to the ladies locker room for
another scene. The Breaker Joshua is looking for now is in the wall right next
to where you just got the ladder from.  Go back and use the breaker to turn off
the power and another scene.

After the scene start running back to the ladies locker room. Do not waste time
with this or you will get washed away and die. You need to be careful of the
obstacles that will get thrown in your way from the rush of water.  When you
reach the ladder you will get another scene.

Joshua is now inside the ladies locker room (that imp).  There are three Blue
arrows in this room.

(NOTE - The Pedometer Compass actually does work as a pedometer.  If you equip
it you can see it counting your steps.  That's pretty neat!)

When you pick up the Mobile Phone Joshua will mention it is locked so he can
only use it as a light. He will automatically "use" it as such. By now you may
have noticed a locker in the north west rattling.  Yell [L1] at the locker,
then open it. You will get a little scene here.  Now you have Stephanie its
time to get out of here.  Go and check the lockers that are leaning over. Go
and talk to Stephanie for DIALOGUE OPTION about the locker. You will get a
scene with them pushing the locker out of the way, exposing the hole in the
wall.  Crawl through the hole.

You will be back in the Kitchen and get another scene with three sets of
DIALOGUE OPTION. After it you will no longer have the mobile phone. If you look
where the Geo Mascot costume used to be you will notice that its gone. Someone
stole Geo! Damn Looters! Apparently they also took the time to repair the hole
in the wall you could use earlier to crawl in there.  That is.. quite bizarre.
Also, "Stephanie's Father" is now added to RELATIONSHIP.

Head south.  Use the save point if you need it, then grab the two Blue Arrows
if you think you will need them.  They are

There is Another Blue Arrow just to the left of the doors.

You can use this for a little more light.  Makes things a little easier for a
while. Go into menu [square], chose "Use" and them chose "Good Flashlight". To
turn the Flashlight off just do the same thing.

Leave the kitchen and turn left and left again. You can now crawl into the room
to the right. Open the Yellow box to get

Joshua does not have a Jacket on, so go ahead and equip this one.  In menu go
to "ITEM" then "Equip".  Go to "Change Jacket" then "Work Coat".  Joshua will
now be wearing the work coat.  Characters can only wear one piece of clothing
of each type at a time, and some do stay warmer than others. You can change
clothes any time in the game.  Changing into dryer clothes helps keep the
characters warmer for a little while so it pays to keep an eye on this. You can
tell how wet a piece of clothing is by the percentage that is shown when you
highlight them in the list.

The blue arrow you can see a little further into the room is

so grab that if you think you will need it, then head back out into the hall.
When you are out here if you talk to Stephanie sh will wonder if the Power will
come back on if you use the circuit breaker.  Problem is if you try using it,
nothing happens, so its not worth worrying about. Just head towards the banquet
hall. When you get there you will get a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION and an
explanation about clinging and grabbing, which is done with [R1].

Turn south to find a table you can use as a bridge to cross the gaping hole. Do
that and head west around the room.  The Food Trolley is there.  Grab it and
push it back around to the back south-east corner of the room where you can
then climb onto it to retrieve

Oh, you may have noticed you could have also used these same to parts to make a
"Soft-Top", but Joshua will never need to use that, so its best to make
the Collectable now so you know you have it.  You will have the chance to make
the "Soft-Top" anyway.

Go back across the Table bridge to where Stephanie is waiting, then cross the
other Table that is upside down towards the doors and out of the banquet hall.
There is a small TV on the table to the right (north-east) of the doors. You
can watch a news broadcast on that.  To the west there is a Blue arrow on a
small table which is

But the water around that is pretty strong and its a bit of a nuisance to
collect, so skip it unless you really need it. Head north towards the elevators
but be very careful as the place really starts to fall apart.  Make good use of
run, crouch and grab when needed or you will get washed away. I suggest
keeping as far east as you can as you make your way across.

One of the elevators is open. If you go in there then call Stephanie you can
warm up a little. I assume this is done by body heat in the enclosed space, as
it only works if you call Shephanie in. This is not a survival point. Watch the
BT meter to know how it is going. The elevator does not work, so get out and
keep moving north. Once you get past the large pillar you will get a scene with
DIALOGUE OPTION.

Keep heading north with your finger pressed firmly on that run button until
Stephanie grabs onto the large debris. Talk to her and she will grab your hand.
If you don't do this and keep going, she will call for your help when you get
too far ahead and you will have to go back for her, so best to do it now).
Hammer it towards the escalator to the north-east and go up. There is a time
limit here, the water is rising and if it gets too high you will drown. It
does take a while so don't panic and just wade those currents. When you get to
the top of the escalator you will get a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.

There is a Blue Arrow right next to Joshua.

You could probably use that about now too, so that is fortunate.  Head west
along the narrow path near the shutter and follow it south around the hole.
Keep going around to the south to find some Blue Arrows.

The Bull Horn is needed to progress so be sure to pick that one up.  The "D
Battery" is an assembly item.

Head back to Stephanie and keep going east. You will see the others gathered on
the other side of an obstacle with a sheet hanging from it. Remove the sheet to
reveal a hole that is blocked by some more debris.  Go left of the sheet and
try yelling to the others.  They will not be able to hear you.  This is where
you need the Bull Horn.  Use that to call to them and you will get a scene with
them removing the debris.  You can now crawl through the hole.

Once through the hole if you talk to the people they will all be complaining of
the cold.  (The Maids comments are quite amusing).  The Head Chef tells you the
construction worker (Y.M.C.A! *cough.. sorry) has gone ahead to check for a way
out. Head a little south and you will find a Yellow arrow indicating a SURVIVAL
POINT, but it is out of fuel. There is also a Blue Arrow here.

Head a little more south for another Blue Arrow which is the

which you need to use on the SURVIVAL POINT.  Do this now to get a scene with
a rather cute DIALOGUE SCENE.  Also note that Stephanie gives her coat to the
Maid. This is a tad important as it means she no longer has one herself and
will therefore get colder and wetter quicker than before.  If you made the
makeshift Coat back when you found the Tape and the Garbage bag in the Banquet
Hall, you can give That to her. You could make it now if you did not make it
before.  More interesting from now is you can start using Joshua's "talent" on
Stephanie.  His talent just so happens to be hugging. How sweet is that! What
a guy, eh? haha. Hugging Stephanie will help warm her and it also helps with
her morale.  Depending on the situation and the dialogue options you choose
depends on how well the hugs work.  Needless to say the nicer you are to her
the better the hugs are. Stephanie does not like being constantly hugged,
however,so do not push Joshua's luck by being too clingy. Choose well for the
best benefit.

I suggest saving would be a very good idea at this point. It has been a while
since the last point after all. A few of the character notes in RELATIONSHIP
have been updated by now if you care to check. There is also now another Blue 
arrow right next to Joshua.

Find the Construction Worker and he will tell you about the MAINTENANCE LADDER.
Go over to Stephanie (have you given her the makeshift coat yet?) and the Head
Waiter and talk to them.  They point out the way to the ladder and make mention
the Head Waiters injured leg.  Looks like its up to Joshua.  In order to get
across here you need to use [R1] with the railing on the right side or you will
get washed away. You can still use [X] to get across quicker. Interestingly
enough, if you do this quick enough, Joshua will still be dry when he gets
across, even after going through all that torrent of water.  That Worker's coat
is one mean piece of clothing, eh! Walk along the debris to the base of the
maintenance ladder and climb up.

This next bit can be a little tricky. You have to walk out onto the swinging
thing and across (watch out for the water spray near the end, you can grab onto
the upright part there if you think its going to wash you off) to the other
side.  The catch is that you need to time it so you can jump off the other end
while it is lined up with the gap in the railing. The thing you just crossed
will break away once you are across so we need to find another way to get the
others up.

The blue arrow in the yellow emergency box is

but you should not need that one so you can skip it to leave that space in the
backpack free for other things. A little to the north-west there are two tool
drawers, but they are no use right now.  Wade the water south and keep going
until you see four posts sticking up out of the ground off to the left.
Examine them, then continue south again across the construction elevator and
turn west to find a SURVIVAL POINT.  Just south of it is a Blue Arrow.

You need this, so pick it up, then I suggest saving.  Go back to the four poles
you examined and use the rope ladder to get a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. (you
can choose the third option here, and then still choose from the other three.)

If you have been following the progress in the RELATIONSHIP information, you
will notice that the Head Waiter has now been updated, with his final entry.
*tear*.

You now need to go help the Construction worker who got injured while getting
the keys for the lift.  Head over to him and help him up for a scene.  You need
to use the railing to the right in order to get across the water, then jump
onto the lift for a scene that ends this section.

After the load you get a scene with three lots of DIALOGUE OPTION. After the
scene you will be at a save point which I suggest you make good use of. Finally
we are out of the underground and in the city, but the story is far from over.

Which if equipped is used in place of yelling.  Walk south and you will see the
bobbing (R) symbol of over a blue bin with a white lid.  These bins if used
effectively can make the lives of the characters a lot easier and interesting.
They are not connected like the bins in the Resident Evil games. What you put
in one bin can only be retrieved from that one bin, so be sure to think
carefully about how you want to utilise them.  There are times when you MUST
leave certain items in certain bins in order for them to be retrieved later by
other characters in order to get COLLECTABLE ITEMS, so I will be giving some
instruction in this regard. Outside those situations it is up to you to use
the Recycle bins how you seem fit.

Step out onto the sidewalk for a scene with two sets of DIALOGUE OPTION.  This
is the first major one of these as what you choose in the first set has quite
a significant impact later in the game.

I recommend you do not tell Trapp where amber is. If you do, there are quite a
few collectables that you will miss being able to get later in the game. Of
course, in order to get all the collectables you need to play the game at least
twice due to the branching stort line. I recommend on your second game you do
tell Trapp where amber is. That makes the later part of the game a nice chunk
shorter, which is a helpful branch for a second play through.

After this scene you will have "Amber Brazil" and "Detective" added to
RELATIONSHIP.  There have been a few additions to some of the other characters
by now as well.

Follow the street north until you see a flashing yellow light. Just past this
there is a raised path that you can walk on that circle back east and then
south to a small work shack.  Walk along it carefully as if you step in the
water you will get a shock due to the collapsed power line. This can kill you
so be careful. Don't go in the shed just yet. Go a little past it and you will
see a blue arrow on the end of a length of Concrete

have to run quickly to avoid a falling tower. Head west towards the save out
the front of the Papco store to trigger a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. There is
a blue arrow to the left of the door into Papco.

jewelry section through an opening on the left (south).  In here you will find
one of the much more interesting, and important, characters in the game. Talk
to her across the glass case and Joshua will say he thinks she might just be
nicking that stuff.  Walk around the counter and right up next to her to talk
to her for DIALOGUE OPTION (or two).  When you are dropped out of the options
talk to her again and she complains of the cold.  Give her a heating pack for a
scene.  Talk to her again and she will give you

and "Woman Looter" will now be added to RELATIONSHIP.  Each of the characters
will meet her once, and each of them can get a different Jewel off her by doing
the right thing.  These are only available in this way.  They are Extremely
Important for completionist sake, as once every character has their jewel they
can be used in a really awesome and Rad way so don't miss them! Yes, Rad. With
a capital r no less. :D

Leave the Jewelry section now and turn west then go north along the shutters at
the back of the store until you see a blue arrow near the elevators on the
north wall.

Feel free to wear this if you wish as this if the first hat we cave found. Note
that hats can not be worn as well as a Jacket if the Jacket has a hood. This
goes for Stephanie as well. Also note that replacing Stephanie's clothes with
newer ones means she loses the ones she is wearing.  You do NOT get those
clothes back for someone else to use later on.  Only the clothes the Player
character changes out of go back into the inventory to be used again.  In other
words, once you give clothes to someone you never get them back.

Head east now and you will find a long counter along the front of the store. Go
behind the counter and along to the end to find a blue arrow.

Leave the store through the door you came in and turn north straight away. Keep
going along the front window display (the TVs are showing more news) until you
can turn west. Crawl through the opening under the door into another smaller
sealed off area of the store with two blue arrows

dryer while out in the rain. It is so obvious it is easy to overlook so best to
mention that little fact.  I pretty much use the Umbrella as often as I can.

Make any last changes you want to with the recycle bin, save, then head North
along the street to where Stephanie most likely is waiting  and calling you.
Talk to her for a scene, then talk to her again for another scene with DIALOGUE
OPTION.  With this one you do eventually have to choose the top option in order
to move on or it will just keep repeating. Give her the ROPE for a scene.

Turn West and go u the stairs for a blue arrow.

Go back to Stephanie and carefully make your way north along the road.  There
will be some water pushing you around and debris floating in the water to avoid
along the way.  Keep going until you see the ramp going up and around to the

If you take a few steps backwards and turn west you will find a save spot and
two blue arrows.

Go back through the turnstiles and go over to the shutters.  Use the Speed
Handle on both the "Emergency Shutter Operating Device" which are under the red
lights on the walls.  Go outside and down the entrance to the subway with is
a little to the west. Follow this around to see another red light.  The store
to the west has a blue arrow

if you need it.  It is too dark for Joshua to see where to use the speed handle
on the red light to open the shutter so use something to give him some light
(the lighter that you may have just picked up from the room with the speed
handle, or one of the many other Torches etc you have found by now if you still

Use the speed handle to open the shutter, but DO NOT.. repeat, DO NOT discard
it when Joshua asks about it.  You MUST keep the speed handle in order to get
more collectable items later in the game.

Go through the now open shutter. If you are still using the lighter here you
will trigger a short scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. It does not mean a whole lot
now during Joshua's story but it will make a difference later in the game. It
is only a minor difference but worth seeing out of interest. Keep going and
cross the large I-beam. It will collapse once you get across. There is a blue
arrow If you want it.

Get on the other beam that goes north-west.  You now have a rather substantial
decision to make.  It affects how the rest of this area will play out for
Joshua, and have a potentially major effect later in the game.

[1] turn a little more north and go down the other collapsed beam when you come
    to it. There will be a gap you need to jump as you progress along here.
    After the jump the path circles back around to the south. Once you get past
    the small dip and the path starts going up you need to get a wriggle on
    because the thing you are on will start to collapse. Once you step up to
    the next section you will have to time the water that is spouting out of
    the wall next to you and move across while the water is not coming out.
    Jump off the end onto the stairs to the right then run up the stairs
    towards Stephanie for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.

    Head up the stairs and through the turnstiles. Straight ahead you will see
    the head chef waiting near a bus.  Before you go over to him you have to go
    up the stairs on the left (west) for a blue arrow.

    There is a recycle bin you may or may not wish you use on the east wall.
    Once you are done head towards the Head Chef for a scene.

[2] Go ahead and look at the iron bar that is blocking the way forward. You
    will get a choice to remove it or look for another way.  "another way" is
    what is deccribed in [1], so remove it for a scene. Hey! Is that the girl
    the detective was looking for? Go straight ahead for a scene with DIALOGUE
    OPTION. The last three options here just loop around.  You need to choose
    the first in order to proceed.

    Run up the stairs and through the turnstyles to see the Head Chef beckoning
    for you from the exit. You need to be quick here as the whole place starts
    to sink. Head up the stairs to the west and quickly grab the blue arrow.

    Head east then north through the broken window. Be ready with the [R1] or
    Joshua will get knocked down by a bad tremor and land on poor Stephanie.
    Don't get hit by the truck sliding sideways towards you. Run north West
    and up towards where the Head Chef is Bekoning for you. As you get to him
    there will be a scene.

Altho I usually prefer [2] here for the simple fact it is more interesting, you
must choose [1] here this time, as it allows access to collectables later in
the game.  We wil be chosing [2] in the second run, so you still get to see the
more interesting alternative then.

The opening scene changes slightly depending on what you choose to do above. It
will have three sets of DIALOGUE OPTION.  You will then see a fire right in
front of you, which after the hectic dash you just went through you will more
than likely be only too happy to use to warm up and save the game.

"Claire Wyatt", "Beth's Mother" and "Beth" have now been added to RELATIONSHIP.

You should easily be able to see a blue arrow in a box behind a small TV.

the south now you will see a red light beside the bus.  Go over to that for a

it for in your menu. You can get back on the bus but there is no real point as
it is now empty.  Head towards where Stephanie is and go over to the other side

One of the more interesting asides in the game can be accessed now by talking
to the Head Chef here.  You get the option of helping him cook.  You can only
use what ever food stuffs you have on you.  Depending on what you use you can
end up with different dishes.  You can not actually eat these dishes, but the
people gathered around the area with you will eat it in a scene and tell you
if what you made is any good or not.  Feel free to tinker around with this if
you are so inclined as it is interesting seeing what can happen.  This seems
to have no effect on the game at all however, so feel free to totally skip it
all together if you wish.

Walk up the road to the north until you get to the roadblock.  You will be able
to see the black van with two blue arrows inside.

The only thing at the top of the ramp is a big hole, a Rescue worker, and the
end of the Fire engine ladder. Rather pointless going up so turn back and go
talk to Stephanie for a scene with three DIALOGUE OPTION.

Chase Stephanie up the ramp to where the people are gathered. Go help the Head
Chef for a scene with three sets of DIALOGUE OPTION. Shephanie's lines change
slightly here depending on just how she and Joshua have been getting along.
During different games I have seen her Refer to Joshua as her "best friend" and
sometimes her "boyfriend". Just one of the little ripple effects of how you
choose your lines as you play. Head Chef is fantastic in this scene.  Its all
just so corny (also, Cheesy) you have to love it.

head east to find a bus sticking out of the collapsed road.  Walk down along
the roof and follow the path along the other debris. You will have to do a bit
of wading in the water to get through here.  Go under the black and yellow
striped rubble and step up to the path on the left (west). If you Turn around
and walk back south along this path you will find a blue arrow

Walk around the train and up the fallen fence to get on top of the train. There
is an open door here just right of where you come up.  Go down into the train
through that door to find a blue arrow.

To get out again you need to get into the water here, kneel down, and crawl
out through the south. Get back on top of the train again and this time head
through the other carriage. You can see what the Mayor looks like in the
original Japanese version of the game in here.  His picture is on the Posters
inside the carriage. "Goldstein" my left one. Don't you just love Localisation.

There is a save spot to the west when you exit the carriage. There is also a
JetSki. We will be using that a little later but there is some stuff we need to
get done first.

From the save point you can see a building off to the south.  Head over there.
You can use the Speed handle to open the shutter here which will make things
a little easier.  When you go inside the the store head right (south) to end up
in the restroom with a blue arrow.

Things start to get quite shaky as you continue along here.  Head into the

Time to go talk to that fellow you probably saw hanging around outside.  Get to
him by going back out the way you came in.  This wonderfully helpful chap is
Jasper. He serves the same purpose as the Recycle bins.  You can leave stuff
with him that can be collected by the other characters later in the game. The
main difference between Jasper and the Recycle bins is that Jasper has a habit
of wandering around.  He turns up in quite a lot of places around the doomed
city so get used to seeing (and using) him as you progress.

At some point Joshua MUST give the SPEED HANDLE to Jasper. There are some items
that other characters will need the SPEED HANDLE to access. Jasper is the ONLY
way to get this item to them. A recycle bin will NOT work. Only Jasper can get
the SPEED HANDLE to the character before they need it. You do not have to give

Talking to Jasper will add him to RELATIONSHIP.

When you have finished sorting your goods head north along the raised dirt path
and into the container. Use the Crowbar on the doors at the other end to get
them open. Joshua will ask if he should discard the Crowbar at this point, but
keep it for Justin (you know.. Justin Case.) because you never know. Go through
the now open container and turn south.  On the south side of the truck stop
here is a blue arrow.

Head around east past the fallen tree and then north for a blue item in the
back of a small flatbed van.

Now turn around and look north east to see a green highway sign sticking up out
of the water.  Remember this. We will be using that quite soon. If you want you
can go south and find a door that goes back into the kitchen, but we don't
really need that now. Instead go back through the container and head right back
to where the first save spot and the jetski is. Yep.  Time to have some fun! :)

Save first if you want (might be helpful here actually) then get on the Jetski.
Enjoy this while you can because this section does not last all that long. The
game will tell you how to drive it when you get on. When oyu are done having
fun with your new toy, head your way around all the way back through the
container you opened with the crowbar and towards the green highway sign I made
you look for earlier.

The goal here is to build up some speed and hit that sign like a jump ramp. If
you hit it correctly you will be able to jump right over to the other side of
the road. Cool!  Head up East for a short scene, then floor it hard to get
across the bridge before the wave hits.  This may take a few tries. When you
make it across there will be another scene. What a rush!

Go back, cross over the car and down to where Beth's Mother is waiting. Get as
close to Beth and Stephanie as you can then call out to them for a scene. Carry
Beth back to her mother for a scene.

Head south towards the fence. You need to grab the fence here to get across as
the path here is a tad slippery. Follow the path towards the Ladder.  If you go
west just before the ladder you will find a blue arrow.

Climb up the ladder then turn and head north along the walkway.  There will be
a black car here out across the path. You can climb up onto the road and take
a few steps for the car to fall, then get back on the walkway, or you can crawl
under the car and keep going to find a blue arrow.

Go back and climb up onto the overpass (the car will fall now if you crawled
under it). There is a save point on the other side just to the south east you
can see from here. The camera likes to flip around a bit up here. Its a little
disorienting.

Head east from the save point and go around the barrier and down the slope. The
ground shifts a bit here while you are on it so be careful. When you get past
the tree on the left turn east and walk along the narrow path. There will be a
break in the wall on the right.  Go through to find a blue Arrow.

Go west down the slope towards the bus then go south through the gap between
the bus and the barrier. Turn east up this side of the road to find a blue
arrow.

Turn back down the slope again and take the rubble path across the car and
around to the front of the building.  There is a large number nine on the
ground here. There is a blue arrow

A little further south if you need it.  Try to move the large 9 sign. Joshua
finds it too heavy to move on his own, so we better get some help. Return back
up to the save spot on the overpass to find Beth and her mother are now there.
Talk to Beth's Mother for DIALOGUE OPTION. You need to ask for help here.

I STRONGLY recommend you save while you are here.

Go back to the big number 9 sign and try to move it again.  This time Beth's
Mother will help and you will be able to move it. Climb up onto it then run
towards the awning of the store to jump over to it. Follow the awning to see a
ladder. Climb up and walk along the balcony to find a blue arrow.

Go back down the ladder and keep following the awning around and you will come
to a roof section. Walk across the fallen sign here to the west to reach
Stephanie.

SEROUSLY this is your LAST CHANCE to save. You can still go back if you did not
save earlier when I recommended it. You will want a save here.

Talk to Stephanie for a quick scene, then Joshua will be carrying her on
his back.

Carefully take a few steps towards the collapsed sign until you feel it start
to shake, then move back and away before it breaks off and falls. There is now
some more fallen debris south west that you can cross over to get to a ladder.
When you get to the top examine the string of lights and Joshua says that he
can use it as a rope. Once you get out a little way along the rope there will
be a scene. Yikes! Keep going once its done and keep a close eye on the roof
section you where you picked up Stephanie.  When you see it slip and start to
head towards you use [R1] to make Joshua grip that rope tight. Once it has
come to a stop you can keep going.

Once you are across there will be a scene with a few sets of DIALOGUE OPTION.
The choices you make here have a huge affect on how the game continues. This is
why I recommended you save earlier. There are three different ways to go with
this.

[1] You can have Joshua get on the Helicopter alone to end his story . You will
    get his "Survivor Certificate" with ending pattern Type 1-C.

[2] You can have both Joshua and Stephanie board the helicopter.  This will get
    you his "Survivor Certificate" with Ending Pattern Type 1-B.

[3] Decide to stay behind so you can take Stephanie to see her Step Mother.

If you go with either 1 or 2 above the game will go ahead to the start of
Amber Brazil's Story. We will be using one of these options for the second run,
but right now you need to choose option 3, as there are a large number of
collectables that can only be aquired this way.

everyone, so they are not that hard to find.

Go over to the shutter on to the west and open it with the speed handle. Inside

Joshua already has one of these and he can not equip any more. The one Joshua
has has already counted for the Collections list so its all good. One of the
other characters who comes through here later can use it instead.

Go east out of the car park and go south. The truck with Geo on the side on the
left side of the road has a blue arrow behind it.

Continue south along the road and you will see a guy in a white lab coat up
ahead wandering around. Keep going and you will get a scene with DIALOGE OPTION
that will change the way the game is played both immediately after the scene,
and later on in the game.  Its pretty mild changes so it is not necessary to
see them all, so just pick which ever you prefer.

[1] Choose to help the man first.  Follow him then go to the trapped woman for
    a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.  Head back to Stephanie and talk to her for a
    scene with DIALOGUE OPTION and you will end up in the restaurant.

[2] Choose to help Stephanie first to get a scene with the man helping you take
    her into the restaurant, then get a DIALOGUE OPTION.

    [2a] Choose not to leave Stephanie and the man will leave.

    [2b] Choose to help the man. Follow him to where his friend is trapped.
         Approach the trapped woman for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. Return
         Back to the restaurant.

So which ever branch you decided to take you are now in the restaurant. Do not
talk to Stephanie just yet as that will move the game along and there is still
some stuff we can do in the area.

"Man in White Gown" has been added to RELATIONSHIP and this point.

Lets to this Clockwise, starting with the Kitchen. The door to the kitchen is
just by the near end of the long servery if you are starting from the entrance
of the restaurant. WHen you walk in here the Game like to play Spielberg and
takes camera control away from you, so its a little difficult to get a good
look around. Veteran Resident Evil Players will be used to this sort of ambient
gimmickry.

Walk south towards the camera, then turn east and into the main kitchen. The
director will keep the camera pointing at Joshua and it will soon reveal a blue
arrow in plain sight on a bench. It is just

towards it you will see the Yellow Arrow of a save point appear.  This is why I
usually like to come in here first. From the cooker save point turn north. If
you go in the door you can see here you will find a total of four blue arrows.

Leave the kitchen the way you came in and head to the entrance foyer. Go east
to find an opening that leads to the rest rooms. There is nothing in the Gents.

Get out of the container and go east. The middle car here can be used to get

parking area under the restaurant. Head over there. The recycle bin we saw

If you go into ASSEMBLE in your menu to combine these. This can actually be a
very useful item as you can use it anytime from your menu to warm up, dry off
and eat the same way as at save points. Using it exhausts the Propane. So you
will need to find more before you can use it again. If you have been
following along with this guide may have another propane we found earlier
in the game, if you decided to grab it of course.

Go up the Stairs here then down the hall. Behind the first door to the right is
a locker room with two blue arrows

Try to open the door at the east end of the hall and Joshua will tell you its
locked from this side and asks if he should unlock it.  Choose yes then walk
through the now unlocked door and you will be back in the restaurant. Go back
into the table area through the closet opening and go to the table in the far
back corner to the south for a blue arrow.

Head back to Stephanie.  This part of the game can go in one of two branches.
Talk to Stephanie for DIALOGUE OPTION.  Talk to her again for a comment. Talk
to her for a third time for DIALOGUE OPTION.

[1] Choose to rest together and you get a scene with two sets of DIALOGUE
    OPTION and you will move on to the next area of the game.

[2] Choose not to rest just yet, and you can now access another cooking aside
    the same as back at the Roswell area with the Head Chef. Use the large pot
    two burners to the right of the save spot in the Kitchen for this. You have
    the four food items through the door to the north to experiment with, plus
    any you may or may not have on your person that you have picked up and
    carried with up to this point.  The Save point is right here so use that so
    you can keep re-loading to try different combos.

    Once you have cooked something, you get a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. This
    will then back up with the same scene with two sets of DIALOGUE OPTION as
    you would get if you skipped the cooking aside. The only difference is now
    there will be food on the table in the scene. The game will then move on to
    the next area.

Go back out the gate, a few steps east, then go south along the path to find a
flat top with a blue arrow.

over the hole in the wall just left (north). Grap the step ladder and move it

Get into the boat [circle] and paddle [X] north until you see some units to the

the stairs on the side of the second row of flats. Follow the verandah to the

Get back in the boat and paddle north until you can turn east. Paddle down here
a way and get ready to hit the [R1] button as a rather nasty landslide throws
a few buildings in your ways and some waves right at the boat.  Can't go this
way now so better turn around and go back.

Just before you get back to the spot where you first got on the boat there is a
way to the east. Paddle down here and keep going as it turns north. Be careful
when you reach the area where the landslide just happened as those broken power
cables can kill you if you get too close. Paddle through the gap between the
two houses north east. Go all the way to the wall then turn and paddle south.
Watch out for the cars that will fall into the water from the east. Just after
where the cars fall in is a path east that leads to a ramp. Head there for a
scene.

Before you go over to Stephanie turn and head north west across the car park to
find a blue arrow near the fence.

waving to you from the small jetty. It can be a little tricky.  Once you make
it to the jetty get out for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.

On the north side of the Rental Boat stand near where you are there is a blue

    scene.  Go out the back of the tent and go into the RV to the south. Talk
    to the guy inside and he will give you the meal. Do not run while taking
    the meal back or you will spill it. When you get back to the sick man there
    will be a scene and Stephanie will go out to wait by one of the RVs.

Go talk to the guy in the purple jacket for two sets of DIALOGUE OPTION and he
will give you

Go back around to the RV with the save spot inside.  If you helped the Injured
man earlier this is where you go the meal for him.  There are some large red
containers here with some barrels between them. Climb up on the barrels then

Go back inside the tent.  Now may be a good time to save.  Go out the front of
the tent for a scene. Run back through the tent while avoiding all the stuff
flying around. When you get out the back Stephanie will call out to you to
follow her so do just that. She will use a fallen fence to run along then head
up some stairs.  When you get to the stairs there will be a scene with DIALOGUE
Option.

The weather has really turned on the bad here. It is a hard push to keep going
through this area. Be careful of the wind as it will push you around and throw
debris at you that can kill you if you get hit hard. Make sure both Joshua and
Stephanie are in the warmest clothes you have.  Time to push ahead.

Go down the ladder you can see just to the right a little ahead of where you
start. A large billboard will get thrown at the top of the ladder so make sure
you don't let it hit you. There is a blue arrow you should see once you climb
down and are on the lower tracks.

Run west along the tracks down here.  The wind is not as bad here on the lower
parts of the tracks which makes it a little easier. Keep going and you will
cross a fallen sign. Be ready for another sign to get blown onto your path.

Push west to the ladder going back up. Go up and turn back for a blue arrow

Find the Train that is hanging off the tracks north of the door with the save.
Its pretty hard to miss. It is at the end of a large trench.  You need to get
on the roof of that train. Go all the way along the train and use the debris at
the end to get down onto the tracks, the climb down the ladder to the north.

Run west along the tracks and you will soon get a scene.  Stephanie will tell
you where to go so be sure to follow her and be quick about it. She will climb
up a ladder so go up after her. Keep chasing her west and you will get a scene.

The opening scene has DIALOGUE OPTION. Head west then turn north and follow the
side of the train back east for a blue arrow.

When you start to head back west you need to run, as the train will tip over.
Go up the stairs onto the platform, down the next stairs into the subway, and
follow the path of debris as it goes around to the north.  Be careful as you

large cement post holding it up will shatter.  Keep heading north and run
through the turnstiles and quickly west as that large Christmas Tree is about
to fall.  Once it does you will find two blue arrows at its base.

Amber for this guide. Once you are through with renaming (or not) there will be
a scene.  Spielberg is back and has taken control of the camera again. This is
literally "security Camera" mode and it last for a while.  Resident Evil fans
will be right at home with this, but others may find it irritating until they
get used to it.

There is only one way to go here, so just follow the hall around and open the
door to room 402 (Amber will not let you stray to far from the door so you cant
miss it.) and go inside for a scene where Amber demonstrates her totally mad
skills with shoelaces. Tall lace up boots removed in three seconds! To the
south, the door on the east has a scene if you open it. Then, if you go in
there and look at the bath you can turn the water off (or not). If that is just
far too much excitement for you to handle then just skip it and open the door
east with the light coming out from under it for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.

Sierra young? Hmm. "Man in black" has been added to RELATIONSHIP. Notice how
all the people from Joshua's story are still in here? This page is taking on
more of a "Kevin Bacon" approach now it seems. It is all quite Zen too, as
there are people in there that, from Amber's time frame, not even Joshua has
met yet.  He is probably helping a lady find her contact lens about now. It is
all quite Tarrentino.

Step through the door for another scene. There is a cute line from Amber if you
step into the Kitchen and look at the Microwave. Must be in shock poor thing. I
really don't expect how well he eats is in any way relevant anymore. Poor guy.

Go east and out onto the balcony for a blue arrow. Or rather it would be blue,
if not for the atmospheric lighting filter.

GO back inside and through the south door into David's bedroom. There is a blue

Why on earth does Amber put the Music box down (its on the desk behind her next
to the computer) and refuse to pick it up again, yet she keeps the card? What a
remarkably strange thing to do.

Go and open the door for a scene. Didn't amber leave her boots here?  I wonder
what happened to them?  Are they in that small cabinet? But who would have put
them in there? It was not Amber, so it must have been the Man in Black? weird!
"David Brazil" is added to RELATIONSHIP.

Call out twice for a quick scene.  Open the door here and grab the blue arrow.

Go out the hole in the Wall and then go east and through the door with the
locker sign for a scene. There is a save spot in here and a cop trapped under a
bookcase. Amber has a few very minor branches here. If you want to see them all
now be sure to save first so you can reload and try them.  They are very minor
and have no impact on the game after this point so any of them will be fine.

[1] Talk to the trapped cop for DIALOGUE OPTION. (Pick "What's going on" for
    an extra bit of cheese. The same DIALOGUE OPTION will come up again)

    [1a] Help him out and he will mention the Keys.

    [1b] Choose not to help him.
    "Guard" will now be added to RELATIONSHIP. 

[2] Ignore the trapped cop.

those even more obsessed with detail than I am.. Even though Amber already HAD
these two items when her game started, do they only count as collectable items
if you get them back here?  Keep in mind that in order to answer that question
you would need to erase your save game, play all the way through from scratch,
and NOT pick up the pair of Lace-up Boots during Joshua's Story, as well as not
pick them up out of the locker here with Amber! Somehow I just can not bring
myself to care enough to find out! :)

Leave the locker room, then leave the next room. (If you freed the cop there

and use the key ring for a scene. If you did Not free the Cop there will be
DIALOGUE OPTION. Hey wait a sec, if Trap was going to lock Amber in down here

Handcuffs o.O?

Step back down the hall a few paces for a scene. How did she survive that? Go
back and save if you wish, then go out the door to the west you can now reach.
Follow the hall to what seems to be a lobby. The door you pass in the hall only
leads to an empty room. Have Amber try to use one of the phones for a great
line.  Aww. How pathetic. I'll be your friend Amber! *cough*. There is more
cheese if she looks at the vending machines to the north near the impassable
gushing water.  They are really swinging the sympathy hammer hard here, eh!

Go up the hall east off the lobby.  The first door on the right (has the sign
"Meeting" above) has two blue arrows.

Skip the "storage" room for now, and go towards the second door on the right

Go back to the storage room now. Turn west to see a blue arrow in a bookcase.

Grab the step ladder and drag it back towards the skylight at the end of the
hall for a scene.

You need to move around in this area when the cops are not looking or you will
get arrested and its game over. Why can she not just ask one of the cops for
help and be evacuated with the other people? Yes, this is exactly what I tried
to do my first play through the game. Oh well. Run straight east to find a
door. Enter it and you will be in a room with a save spot and Seven (yes seven)
blue arrows. One of them in the eastern most locker in the corner of the room.
The rest are in plain sight.

I suggest you equip all the Officer's clothing.  This will allow you, at least
for a while, to move around and not get arrested if spotted by the cops. You
can leave the Custom Jacket on, the disguise will still work. Well, as long as
you to not talk to the cops. All except one will arrest you if you do that. The
one that will not arrest you I will mention when we get to him.

You NEED to have an umbrella to get another item later in the game, so be sure
to grab this one.  Feel free to use it, but just be careful with it.  If it
breaks you will have to reload a previous save.

Now that you can walk around easier you can leave the room. Go north along the
wall, follow the wall west, and then follow it back east again on the opposite
side to find a blue arrow waiting at the end of the alley.

There will be a cop here, so now would ge a good time to try out Amber's TALENT
if you would like to.  Wait for the cop to stand still.  Go up next to him, go
into the Menu, go to talent, hit [X] and Amber will pick his pocket.

   - I got a [Officer's Skirt] from this guy once! It was during Free mode.
     Amber was already wearing the one she finds in the room with the other
     officer's clothes at the time, meaning two of them in one play. I have not
     recieved this from him in a full game, and I have tried many, many, many
     times. I am assuming this was a very rare "glitch".
  
Go back to the door of the room you just came from and go past it to find
another door a little further south. Go in there and you will be in a hall. Go
into the Men's room for a blue arrow.

If you look west past the fence here you will see two blue arrows. Amber can't
get to these. They are accessible later by another character. Speaking of, see
the three people talking a further to the west? Looks like a woman and two men?
I wonder who they are? hmm.

You now have a choice.  This will effect the game both now and in the future.

[1] There is a hole in the brick wall to the south.  Go through it then west to
    a hose dangling out of the back of the tanker. Keep Amber walking for a few
    seconds when she gets to it and there will be a scene. Quickly now, run
    south around the back of the tanker to the road for a scene. OOPS!
    Hey. Are those the two people we just saw over the fense?

[2] You must be wearing the Officer's Uniform for this to work.  Walk back to
    the gate and talk to the cop here. Ask him to open the gate for a scene. If
    you talk to him again he will arrest you.  Don't stop to say thanks like
    I did my first game. Cops attitude turns on a dime Macross Zero Style. >_>

For now I suggest [1] as it creates some extra content later in the game. We
will be using [2] for the second run anyway.

will now notice that Jasper must be half time lord. He has items you can take
that he will not get off Joshua for what could be up to three days from now!

Oh, you can Pickpocket Jasper here as well. Even if he says he is not carrying
anything.

east and cross over to the other side of the road to where the cop is standing

There are two guys standing on the road to the east. Either go talk to them or
pick the pocket of the Redhead for a scene.

The scene does play out slightly different depending in what you choose to do,
but it if very minor so if you want that Heating Pad then go for it. Walk east
for a scene. What is Trapp's problem?  Why is he so intent on catching one girl
while the whole city is being destroyed around him?

The Officer's disguise no longer works, so if you need to change into something
dry or just want a change anyway then go ahead and do so.  You need to wait for
the cop here to turn away then run to the car that is on its side to the east
for another scene.  Hey look! Those are familiar faces!  What actually happens
here depends on what option you took during Joshua's game.

[1] Joshua does not tell Trapp that Amber is behind the car. Wait until the cop
    is not looking then head east staying close to the yellow tape. Keep going
    east along the road and you will hear the crane fall that nearly squished
    Joshua during his story. use [R1] or Amber will be knocked over from the
    shock. Go a little further east then turn north through the broken fence to
    find a save point and a recycle bin. This is the same recycle Bin that
    Joshua had access to here, it just seems someone came and moved it from one
    side of the construction site to the other. That was nice of them.

    Go east past the large crane and through the hole in the fence. Turn south
    and Jump the barrier onto the road where you will see a blue arrow

    Go back where you just came from and then keep going all the way north. Get
    ready for another tremor as you go along here.  Go west when you come to
    the hole in the fence, then head for the other hole in the fence that goes

    Go back to the hole in the fence and turn west between the fence and the
    building. Go into the building to find a save spot and a blue arrow

    There is some ham dialogue for the blue vending machine. sad :'(
    Go back out of the store and turn west down the alley. At the end go north
    and head for the collapsed vent that goes up from the road.  As you
    approach it there will be a scene.  RUN to that vent and up or the wave
    will hit you and its the TRY AGAIN screen. Reach the roof for a scene. Go
    around the top of the vent to see a beam running north west from the roof.
    Follow that beam all the way to the end.

[2] Joshua tells Trapp where Amber is. She is captured and put into a van that
    tips over. Crawl forward (east) until Amber can stand take a few steps for
    a scene, then run up the stairs.
    (See. Nice and short for your second game)

There will be a scene with Two sets of DIALOGUE OPTION.  Get ready to quickly
hit [R1] and Amber will grab the lamp post. She will get knocked down if you
miss this grab. Once the wave is past head up the stairs.

The area will start with a scene that has two sets of DIALOGUE OPTION. Follow
after the man in the blue suit.  He will lead you up two flights of stairs for
a scene. There is a save point just a little to the west and a blue arrow next
to the pillar to the north.

While Aiden distracts the cop Amber needs to go up the stairs and cross over
the walkway to the other side of the road.  When she gets about half way stop
and wait for Aiden to go around and distract the other cop then keep going and
down the stairs on the other side. Go down the stairs into the station for a
scene with a four sets of DIALOGUE OPTION that change slightly depending on
what you did in David's apartment.

"Man in Blue Suit" has now changed to "Aiden Chase" in RELATIONSHIP.

Further east there is a shutter that can't be opened with the Speed Handle. Go
North into Wizeman's Books. This section will change depending on whether or
not Joshua set off the fire alarm when he was here during his story.

[1] Joshua sets off the fire alarm.  There is a scene, then Amber must sneak
    out the door when the cop is not looking. If you are really good, you can
    pick his pocket for

    on your way out.  Go south then stop at the corner and wait until the cop
    here is not looking. How did he het that broken shutter open? If you are

[2] Joshua does not set off the fire alarm.  Amber can just walk through the
    store and down the stairs. No Sam Fisher moments to worry about.

When you get to the bottom of the stairs go west a few paces then turn north

As this holds more than the Emergency pack you currently have, be sure to equip
it. The cigarette machine near here prompts another memory of David if you are
watching for these little details. Go around to the other side of the base of
the stairs to find a save spot.

Approach the floating train for a scene. This is where Amber's story is altered
according to what Joshua did with the Iron Bar.

[1] Joshua left the iron Bar alone.  Amber can simply walk arond the top of the
    train and up the ladder to Aiden. Go east, up the stairs, then west and
    follow the to the end.  Turn north, go over to the coffee shop and crawl
    through the broken window just left of the doors. There are three blue
    arrows in here.

    Leave back through the broken window then head east to find a store with a
    shutter on the door that can be opened with the Speed Handle. Inside the

[2] Joshua dislodged the Iron Bar. When amber makes it to the last carriage
    there will be a scene and she will be stranded on the floating carriage. It
    will float right up next to a large red sign Amber can step onto. Notice
    the spotlight? That is a rescue helicopter!  Start heading along the narrow
    path and Aiden will call for you, showing you the way. Once on the roof of
    the bus you have a choice.

    [2a] Ignore the Rescue workers And run straight to Aiden for a short scene.
         Go east up the stairs then west along the short hall. At the end go
         north and be ready for that [R1].  If you do not hit it right here the
         game usually glitches and Amber dies. It seems that if she does not
         duck in time she gets crushed by a falling I-Beam? Once it is safe to
         stand run east. Watch out for the sliding cabinet that can squish
         Amber if it hits her.  Keep running east after Aiden, then follow him
         North down the passage towards the stairs for a scene.

    [2b] Go towards the Rescue workers for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. If you
         choose not to get caught you can go back and do [2a]. Choose tired of
         running and you will get another DIALOGUE OPTION to confirm, and a
         final set of DIALOGUE OPTION with ways to say goodbye to Aiden. This
         will end Amber's Story. You will get her Epilogue, and her "survivor
         Certificate" with ending type "2-B".

As you can see, any of the branches in [2] will mean Amber will miss some 
COLLECTABLES, not only in this immediate area, but by ending her game missing
whole mess of them.  For the seond run, we will be ending Amber's story here,
but for now it is on to...

As soon as the scene is finished start running north east away from Trapp. Keep
going and eventually there will be a scene. That dude really has it in for her!
What a jerk. To what end? You can carefully walk down the slope towards the

If you want it, or just head North west into the alley then around to the north
east. You will see the entry to the Hudson Tunnel just ahead before we head in
there is some stuff we can get.

To the west here is the mighty Jasper. The vending machines here trigger an
amusing reaction from Amber worth the two seconds to see.  Go north east to the
two food vans.  One is a save spot. Checking the other one Amber says something
about David. They were pretty close, those two.

Go over to the road to the north east and look down the road South east to see
some people on the bridge. Walk towards them to get a scene. That is one woman
with some rather strange priorities! You can pickpocket the guys.

Keep going south east for a blue arrow under a tree.

Now try to cross the bridge. go on. do it! Once you get so far you, well, you
only get so far.  Someone does really not Amber to get across that bridge. Take
the hint and start heading back. About half way back there will be a spot where
you can jump to the right (north west) to find a room with a save spot. If you
turn left and go to the other side of the bridge you can find a blue arrow

Head back to the Save spot inside the room you just came from. Head down the

You now have a choise to make that will effect the game in a minor way now, but
will have a larger impact in the game later on. See that christmas tree? The
man in the white coat is unconscious at the base.

    [2a] Talk to him and Aiden will pick him up.
    [2b] Leave him alone.

Go over to the north of the room.  As you approach the water will start gushing
in and the room will start filling up. Use the Wire Cuters on the Damaged Fence
so you can get through. Amber will say there seems to be no use now for the
Wire cutters and ask if she can discard them. Keep them, you never know. Move
forward and keep going. It is very unstable here so be ready with [R1]. When
you get up the stairs there will be a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. The scene is
different depending on what you did reguarding the Man in the white coat.

In the north of the carpark there is a blue arrow near a vending machine.

Head north towards the intersection and there will be a scene. Quickly move to
the left and then [R1] to stop from getting knocked over. Watch for cars that
slide towards you.  There is nothing you can do with Trapp now (strangely. An
option to help him would have been nice here, even if he is a total jerk. You
could still opt to not help after all.) so go back up to the road and north.

Davids apartment building is to the east here but do not aproach the entrance
just yet as it will trigger a scene and you can't come back out. First go down
the alley that goes east down the side of the building. There is a Recycle bin
along here so make use of it as you see fit. Keep going down the alley to find
three blue arrows in the small area at the back.

Go back up the street and north (stay clear of the entrance) for a blue arrow

Make use of the Recycle bin if needed as this is your last chance to use it.
When you are ready go to the entrance of the building for a scene with DIALOGUE
OPTION.

This area is visited later by another character. If there are any items here
you feel you do not need and do not pick up, they will still be here when the
other character comes through. All the items are in almost the exact same spot,
so they are not hard to find.

Go into the room to the left (north) to find a save spot and two blue arrows

The Thermal Box is a great item. When at a save spot (or using the portable
stove) if you choose to eat you will get the option of putting the food into
the thermal box instead of eating it. THe box keeps the food hot so you can
then eat it at any time by going into your menu and selecting to use the
thermal box.

There is a detail here that I can't quite work out with the thermal box. When
you put something into the box you only get to use one ingredient, but when you
confirm the game says "Put [Ingredient] and " into "thermal Box". Why does it
say "and"? Is this a simple case of bad translation? Or is there a way to
access the cooking aside using the thermal box? If I ever find this out I will
update the guide. For now however I think its just bad code.

being wide open. Maybe the person who left the items behind broke in to do it?
Or are the police too busy with everything else to worry about locking the door
to a major crime scene?

Move through to the living room to see that there is a huge Christmas tree
smashed through the wall.  How the hell did that happen? Do NOT pick up the
blue arrow on the floor surrounded by the broken glass yet. There is a blue
arrow in the kitchen.

As you walk forward (east) there will be a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. "Woman
wearing a cardigan" is now added to RELATIONSHIP.

Go into the restaurant and into the table area. There is a somewhat familliar
person sitting at one of the tables.  Approach him for a scene with three sets
of DIALOGUE OPTION. "Journalist" is now added to RELATIONSHIP. You can talk to
the Journalist again, but he just asks if you are going with Aiden.

Use the burner in the kitchen to save if you wish then go down into the carpark
under the restaurant.  Talk to Aiden for DIALOGUE OPTION. Talk to him again to
let him know when you are ready to leave the area.

on that run button here and just keep going to outrun the collapse.  Once you
make it across there will be a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.

There is a cut-out of Geo to the south here that you simply must go take a look
at for a chuckle.  There is a blue arrow on the bench in the small gazebo.

When you have control again quickly get to the post where Aiden is and press
[R1] to knock Aiden off and grap the post. There will be another scene with
sets of DIALOGUE OPTION that will change depending on which options
you choose.

This area is visited later by another character. If there are any items here
you feel you do not need and do not pick up, they will still be here when the
other character comes through. All the items are in almost the same spot, so
they are not hard to find.

Isaac has access to Ten of the eleven blue arrows in this room. There is also
one in the loo in the north west corner of the store. He can not get to the
one you can see behind the counter, that one will have to be left for another
character later in the game.

Construction worker is waiting near it. Walk past the cab for now and go into
the garage at the back of the store to find our good friend Jasper standing
next to the recycle bin.  There are three blue arrows in here.

It seems quite pointless, but it is interesting listening to the news bulletins
and the DJs have some pretty comical stuff to say. This is not Lazlo standards
by any means, but still amusing, if terribly short.

The game will not let you stray too far here so its not worth trying to drive
around.  The first time you hit something you will get a brief explaination of
damage. Just to out of the carpark, turn west, then go south along the bridge
for a scene. Keep going South.

Head north across the street to where the car is on fire. You will see Sophia
talking to a cop here. Try to keep away from her right now and go east to the
fence and pick up the two blue arrows Amber could not reach during her game.

Now approach Sophia for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. The Cops lines change
slightly here depending on what Amber says to Trapp during her game.

What happens here depends on how Amber got out of the station during her game.

[1] Amber gets the cop to open the gate for her. Go back to the cab and there
will be a short scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.

[2] Amber goes out the hole in the fence and makes the splodey boom.  Isaac and
    Sophia will be thrown into a hole where Amber's cell used to be. The blue
    arrow here is

    Climb out of the hole using the desk. As you get out the desk will catch
    fire, so Sophia will be trapped.  Run north between the cars and busses.
    they will all go boom as you pass so try not to get too close. When the

    the building is about to fall. Get to the gate for a scene.

    Head south and when you get to the end of the wall there will be a scene.
    There are two parts of the pavement here that jut out over the hole where
    Sophia is trapped.  The idea here is to walk to the end of these and call
    out to her so she can walk towards your voice.  Make sure that when you
    call her she does not walk into any of the fire spots.  Keep alternating
    from one point to the other calling her closer until there is a scene with
    DIALOGUE OPTION.

game will let you go here is down the side of the building where the Paradox

the recycle bin they will be available for Isaac to take. When you get close to
the railing around the back entrance Isaac will make note of it.  When this
happens go back and talk to Sohpie for a scene.

Go south to the intersection and go east for a scene. Well, now we know how the
big Christmas Tree got knocked through Davids apartment! Isaac can get anything
Amber left behind in this area and can use all the same save spots. If you need
a reminder of what is here just scroll back up. Isaac is the last character to
have access to this area and these items, so if there are any COLLECTABLES left
then you MUST get them now or you will miss out. The Isaac specific item here
is marked by a blue arrow in the basement parking area.

Start to make your way back out to the car. You will not get far before there
is another scene. Altho rather wet, Sophia will be quite safe in there for
quite some time so there is no need to panic. Head out of the room and hit the

the elevator and the cab quicker. Get in the Cab and drive out of the NorCal
main gates to be taken to the Navigation Map.

You must choose DISCOVERY HEIGHTS first or you will miss a COLLECTABLE. Drive
all the way south (careful of those potholes, you can get some great air time
off them if you hit them just right. Neat!) and as you approach the end of the
road you will notice a guy calling out on the steps to the left of the small
van that has hit the lamp post. Pull up and stop near him, turn the camera to
face him, hit [L3] to sound the horn for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. You
must choose to take them or you will miss the COLLECTABLE. Choosing to take
them will bring up the Nav screen with only one choice, DOWNTOWN STATION, so
there for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.  You must acept or you will not get

Go into NAVIGATION and choose ANGELINA. You can park either under the
restaurant or in the shopping mall car park.  Now that Isaac is here he can get
anything that neither JOSHUA or Amber pick up during their storys or left in
the recycle bin. There is still one character to have access to this area, so
if there is anything you do not need you can leave ot for later.

If you are curious you can talk to "lady wearing a cardigan" who is pacing back
and forth outside the apartment building for DIALOGUE OPTION and head inside
the restaurant to be ignored by the journalist. Neither of these two things
lead anywhere so you can skip them if you wish.

There is a blue arrow here that only Isaac can get.  It is in the back of the
flat top at the north end of the shopping center car park.

Go to the large map that if in front of the shopping mall between the two
shuttered doors.  You will find a familliar person. Talk to her once, and she

you can talk to her as many times as it takes. Once you tell her the truth she
wil ask for a ride and go stand by the cab. the script in this scene will
change slightly depending on where you parked. Go back to the cab and get in to
be automatically taken back to DISCOVERY HEIGHTS for a scene where you will get

If you drive around a bit while you are here you will see the journalist. He
will be limping along on his crutch and completely ignore you, just like in
the restaurant in Angelina. If that is how fast this guy moves, how on earth

If you do not want to be ignored again just drive to the pothole in front of
the steps where you picked up the stranded family earlier. To the west of that
pothole you will see water running down a covered walkway.  Drive along there
all the way through and you will see the entrance to a parking area. Drive
through the parking area and into the back gate to Landmark Appartments for a
scene (trigged?) with three sets of DIALOGUE OPTION.

Follow the winding road all the way (watch out for the truck) until you get a
scene.  Back up a bit and there will be a semi-hidden path you can make out
between the trees to the east. Time to do some off-road driving so take it easy
here to minimise damage to the cab. Drive along the path and you will come to
some water that is shallow enough to drive through.  Go north and onto dry land
through the break in short fence. Turn west and go down the slope and follow
the path all the way along until you can drive back up onto the road. Drive
north for a scene.

For some reason Isaac decides to get back to NorCal via this area. Heads up for
this area. You will have to try it more than once.  It is kinda like "the Jump"
from the Matrix.  No one makes this their first time.

There is only one way to go here, so keep going until you get a scene. Floor it
or you will get caught by the huge wave. You need to get through the school and
NOT (very not) hit the young school girl who will run out in front of the car.
Don't worry about the person chasing her. If he gets in your way, so be it.
Once you miss the girl go between the ambulances, turn right, and drive up the
ramp for a short scene.

This place has been hit pretty bad by now so its time for some careful driving
to minimise damage to the cab. To get back to the R&D building it may be best
to go straight through the building ahead. Turn west at the bottom of the steps
then go south. You can try to make it across the makeshif bridge here or just
drive carefully across the part of the aquaduct still in tact. Head South east
and park under the floating (P).

Hey, the rain has stopped. Go inside as start to make you way back to the room
where Sophia is trapped and waiting for rescue.  If you take a look at the map
on the way there (as you more than likely will so you know where you are going)
take a look at the comment on the post-it where the secret lab is. Who the hell
is "Bradford diabebe / diabebey / diabebeydeactivate"?? Despite the obvious

Once you are in the room adjacent to where Sophia is (woah.. just in time!)
look at the blue screen for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.  This one will repeat
until you chose to drain the water, so feel free to try the other two first if
you like.

Remember that "some sort of equipment" we noticed when we were here before?
this is where that comes into play.  Head back and look at that (west, then
south) for DIALOGUE OPTION. You need to pick the first option. This will give
another DIALOGUE OPTION where again you need to pick the top option. You will
get a scene.  Go talk to Sophia for a scene. Make your way back to the cab and
be quick about it. This place is about to start filling with water.

When you get back to the cab there will be a scene.  Its hammer time! Go west
out of the fence then across the aquaduct. Avoid huge rolling tanks and go
south east up the slope and into the building.  The Front entrance will get
blocked by depris as you approach so go west up the stairs. Keep following this
around then floor it when you see the large cracked window to jump through.When
you land keep going north and slightly west to get out of NorCal for a scene.

first left (south). Follow the road around to find an ambulance. Just in front

OPTION keep an eye on Jaden as he heads off. Is that someone (who looks rather
familliar) chasing after him?

After another two sets of DIALOGUE OPTION the scene will move into the Media
Building. The Journalist's name is Keith, it seems (could it be... ?) This guy
is everywhere. There will be a DIALOGUE OPTION, then the scene will change back
to the cab for one final DIALOGUE OPTION. You will get Isaac's Epilogue (Keith
Helm!? "the" Keith helm?  DISASTER REPORT players will be going "zOMG!" right
about now..) Watch the background as it playes and you will see a man in a blue
suit walk past! Isaac's "Survivor Certificate" with ending Type 3-A will show.

DIALOGUE OPTION.

El Creapo will start following Paige after the scene.  Don't let him get too
close to him or he will, er, tutor Paige to death? (methinks the localization
team cut some "questionable" material here). Just be sure to stay out of arms
reach and she will be fine.

Go down the stairs to the north then out the open door to the north for a short
scene. Its deja-vu time. Dash across in front of Isaac and the wave chasing him
to the opposite building.  Now you know why I said not to worry too much about
hitting the person chasing the schoolgirl back during Isacc's Story. If you are
quick with the reflexes here, you can even force Isaac to run him down now. 

Once Slimy McSlime was been washed away (Or collected by Isaac if you were
quick enough) and you are safely across in the other building, look east for a
blue arrow on top of a shoe rack.

    the Vegetable oil will no longer be in your item menu.

[2] Use the Mop.
    - I... have no idea what that does, but you loose the mop if you do it.

[3] Use the fire hose.  You will get a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.

You will get taken to the Staff Room for a Scene with Four (or more, depending
on what options you make) sets of DIALOGUE OPTION. After the scene Kelly will
grab the key to the Gym.

Open the door behind Paige to enter a room with three blue arrows.

at the door to the Gym.  Head towards her for a scene. Mr Perv is back and if
he "rescues" Paige its game over, so shimmy towards Kelly.  Once you get to her
there will be a scene.

Use the Recycle bin if you want or need to then go back to the Gym.  When Paige

[R1] so she is not knocked over.  The walkway to the west has just fallen down.
Keep going and talk to Kelly for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.

"Old Doctor" will be added to RELATIONSHIP.

As soon as you try to move after the scene, there will be another scene with
DIALOGUE OPTION. Paige can get some well deserved venting and revenge here by
choosing anything other than the first or last on the list.  The others will
loop back and let you choose again, and choosing to laugh and yell will open up
a new DIALOGUE OPTION of all the stuff Paige can unleash on Emily. It is all
quite satisfying.  Once you are done (or if you just want to get on with it)
pick the first or last option.  Picking the top option will have Emily leaning
on you as you continue.  Picking the last option will see Emily limping and
wheezing along behind you.

Go up the collapsed walkway and through the broken window at the top. on the
awning to the south is a blue arrow

Go back to the broken window and cross the debris.  Go through the window here
and you will be in a classroom with a save point. Save if you wish (it might be

for another chuckle (depending on what options you just chose) then head all
the way to the north and enter the restroom here for a blue arrow.

Head all the way back south past the two people you just spoke to (why are they
just standing there?) and all the way to the end then west up the stairs. At
the top head all the way north to the end and west up the stairs for a scene

try those if you wish. The forth and fifth options move on with the game. The
first option opens up another set of DIALOGUE OPTIONS. The last option will
drop you back to the first set, the others will move you on with the game. Go
up through the door to the roof for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. You will get
Paige's Epilogue and her "Survival Certificate" with ending type "4-A".

This story has a different opening depending on what you chose reguarding the
man in the white coat when Amber found him unconscience in the Hudson Tunnel.

[1] Amber decided to help him.  The Man in the white coat will wake up in a
    Laundread in a scene with two sets of DIALOGUE OPTION.

[2] Amber does not help him.  The Man in the white coat will wake up on the
    stairs to the hudson tunnel. Get up and walk up the stairs before the water
    rises for a scene.

The man in the white coat has a sort of a mini game for his talent. As you
progress you will get fragments of memory from certain tasks and conversations.
These can be mixed and matched to be pieced together for some amusing and
nonsensical results.  Feel free to amuse yourself in there whenever you feel
like it.  There is a few spots where I will tell you to go in there in order to
proceed with the game.

scene. Go back to the shelter and go inside. Look at the air mattress in here
for a fragment of memory and a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. If you tell the
truth the medic will not help so you need to chose something else.  Take the
air matress down to the edge of the water for a scene.

There will be a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION.  Head east and cross the plank for
a scene. Head down into the hole and talk to Sierra for a scene with two
sets of DIALOGUE OPTION. get back out of the hole and head east to the
intersection to trigger a scene.  What happens here depends on what you chose
back in Joshua's story. As you have already done this, it should be fairly
simple to do it again. :)

oh, if you chose for Joshua not to help Ivan here, you will need to grab

Head up out of the hole and east along the road again. Once you get near the
apartments Sierra was near in the earlier stories you will get a scene.

collectables and any of the items Joshua, Amber, and Isaac may have left behind
as this will be your last chance to get them. You may also be interested in
going into the restaurant to try talking to Joshua and Stephanie, though its
not necessary. Once you are all sorted here, head into the apartment building.

Go through the door at the other end of the long fishtank for a blue arrow.

OPTION and you will get some fragments of personality.

until you automatically get out and end up on some stairs.  Sierra will be

Emily). Sierra will have caught you up by now. Go east through the door Paige
just came out though to find the save point. go through the window, across the
debris, and through the other window on the other side. Go down the collapsed
walkway to reach the Gym for a scene.

Go into Ivan's Talent and piece together the memories in "Method to dispose
Echidna". Talk to Desmon for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION and some wonderfully
cheasy acting. Use the save point if you wish then head all the way out and
through the door to the south into the small section with the recycle bin
which you can use if you wish. 

Approach the boat for a scene with several sets DIALOGUE OPTION depending on
what you choose.  Your choices here will change the game from this point. It is
abundantly clear what will change from the two choices you are given. You can
get a few fragments of personality here depending how far you go through the
options.  Once you are done there will be a scene.

The Container is just a little ahead.  When you get to it Ivan will wonder if
there is anything he can use to tie it to the boat.  Continue south under the

is quite a lot of stuff to get here so lets go clockwize starting from the save
point.

outcome of Ivan's story. Navigate through the options for what will end up as

[1] Ivan gives the container to "Apalon" and his epilogue plays. You will get
    his "survivor certificate" with ending type "5-B"

[2] Ivan refuses to give the container to "Apalon". When he ends up in the
    water grab the railing and use it to get back up onto the slope. Go up
    the path and along the collapsed tower to get back to the container. There
    will be a scene.  Wait until Apalon is not looking then quickly go to the
    switch and look at it to use it to get a scene. You will get Ivan's
    Epoligue and his "survivor Certificate" with ending type "5-A"

This story is one of the most significant things that changes in the game. Here
we are playing Joshua again, but this is because for the purpose of this
walkthrough (to find all the collectables) we chose to NOT get on the rescue
helecopter with Beth and Beth's Mother.  On the second play though of the game,
this story will not be playable. There will be another story here instead.  We
will get to that later in the guide.  For now, its all Joshua.

This is the shortest story in the game, and the whole thing is pacically a dash
for safety.  There are very few pickups.  There is no time to explore here, it
is all full tilt mad dash with only one or two moments to catch your breath.

Take a few steps towards the helecopter and the water will come. Run west and
into the building where you can see the giant Geo. There is a blood trail here
(who's blood is that?). Go the way it leads then follow the only way you have.
It will take you clockwise around the floor. The blood trail goes up the
escelator, so follow it then swing back to go west and circle around the floor
anti-clockwise to go up the nexl escelator. Go north and up the next escelator.
Someone has lost a lot of blood.

Swing around west at the top and go past the way south for now and go a little
further west for a blue arrow

Now go back and south to circle around and up the next escelator. As you
approach the top a large crash will shake the building. head north then east up
the next escelator. Swing west then circle around the floor to see the ship
stuck through the building.  Get onto it and run up, avoiding the falling
sleigh as you go.  Jump off at the top onto the next floor. You can stop here
for a few seconds to catch your breath.

Head north through the tunnel here and stick to one side. when you get about
half way the part behind you will break of and fall and the part you ar on will
start to swind down as well.  Grap the railing and shimmy all the way to the
end for a scene.

There is a lot of blood here leading up to a save point. Go over there for a
scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. You will get

Use the save point if you wish (might be a good idea) then head up the stairs
to the north. Follow them all the way up, ducking under the debris as it flies
near.  Go up the Ladder.

You need to be quick once you reach the top as the gratings you walk on start
to fall if you stay on them for too long. Go up the next ladder to the west.
At the top go up the next ladder to the south.  At the top go up the next
ladder to the east.

Instead of going straight ahead and up the ladder to the north here, swing
around the other way for a blue arrow in the north west of the platform.

Now head up the ladder which is now east.

As you reach the top the whole tower will start to crumble.  Run hard towards
the post then use [R1] to grab it for a scene.

End Credits Roll.

You will get Joshua's second epologue, and second "survivor certificate" which
this time will show and overall ending pattern Type "6-A". It will also show
the ending types for your previous stories and some other game data.

"Hard" and "FREE MODE" are now unlocked, as well as the COLLECTION that we have
been working so hard to complete.  You will also receive the "Jeweled Suit" for
getting each character's jewel off the woman who everyone seemed to refer to
with a differend name.

This may be stating the blindingly obvious.. but.. SAVE HERE WHEN PROMPTED!!!
You will note that the save file has "Free Mode Play", "Free Costume", and
"Special Costume" clearly marked. COOLNESS! :D

When you are dumped back at the Start Screen you will notice "COLLECTION" is
now one of the options here.  So go ahead and check it out.

The main goal here is to make some different decisions in order to see some of
the different branches the story can take. There is a firm focus on taking
short cuts and getting through as quickly as possible in order to unlock a new
Final Story, and a new playable character that goes with it. Also, The last few
compasses are found during this alternate Final Story.

From the opening menu choose START GAME and choose GAME.  You must choose GAME
here and not FREE MODE. More on this later in the guide. For the difficulty
level feel free to pick anything.  I personally prefer HARD for the second run,
as it adds just that bit of spice to keep play interesting now that most of the
exploring is already done. However if you just want to get to that new Final
Story as quickly as possible then pick Easy.  Totally up to you.

Don't forget that a significant amount of the cutscenes are actually skippable
now if you don't want to sit through them again.

During the second (and any future) run of the game, and compasses you already
have will not show up in the game.  They are all in your compass list. You can
swap and change them any time, as many times as you wish.

All Food, clothing, bags and items however are still there. Most of these will
not be mentioned in this section. I will only be referencing a few of the
more useful items and all of the mandatory items.

If you are playing HARD, you will need to keep a close eye on your BT. Make
good use of dry clothes, survival points, food, heat packs, First Aid Kits, etc
as they become much more important at this level of difficulty.

Story One - Joshua Harwell - Convention Center

Skip all the small stuff.  Go straight to the kitchen and take the food to
Stephanie. Do not help her carry the dishes, its quicker not to. Go talk to the
mayor. Go back to the kitchen and talk to the head chef. Get the water. Ignore
Sophia and just go straight back to the mayor.

Talk to all the people in the Stairwell lounge.  Go into the gents. Because we
did not talk to Sophia the cut scene heading into the restroom will change.

Crawl through the hole in the wall that leads to the kitchen. Grab the ladder
on your way to the locker rooms. Saves you coming back for it. Leave it outside
the men's locker room and duck in to grab the Knapsack out of Joshua's Locker.
Take the ladder to the women's locker room. Go back and use the breaker.

Grab the mobile phone. Open the locker.  Inspect the leaning locker. Ask
Stephanie to help move it. Go through the hole. Run the gauntlet through the
banquet hall and across the Stairwell Lounge. Help Stephanie up the escalator.

Grab the Bullhorn and use it to call for help. If for some reason you do not
have the Knapsack there will be an Emergency Pack here.  Move the sheet. Crawl
through the opening.  Grab the Kerosene and use it on the empty survival point.

Make you way up to the next floor. Grab the Rope ladder and use it on the poles
sticking out of the floor. Talk to the Construction worker.  Use the cable to
wade across the water then jump onto the elevator.

Here we have access to the first Recycle Bin. Now that we have had one full
run of the game you can access your entire set of "collectables" in here. That
calls for a major hazaah! This holds true for all the Recycle bins in the game.
It is only for your Collectables. Any food or items you need you still need to
pick up. Your "Jeweled Suit" is available this way. It keeps your characters
and companions permanently dry, but they can still get cold. It also makes them
look like complete tools.

When Trapp asks Joshua if he has seen Amber, say yes. This makes a shortcut for
Amber during her story. Grab the Rope from the WorkShed. Go to the fallen road.
Talk to Stephanie twice and allow her to climb on you to get up. Give her the
rope.  Go up the "rotary".

Go into the station.  Approach Stephanie. Grab the Speed Handle (and Lighter).
Use something that gives off light, then use the speed handle to open the
shutter. If you used the lighter, turn it off so Joshua does not set the
streamer on fire and alert the cops with the fire alarm. This skips a scene
here now, and makes things easier for Amber during her story.

This is where we do things differently to the first run. Rather than leaving
the iron bar alone, remove it. Make the mad dash to the bus as described in [2]
in the walkthrough for the first run.

Go down the bus and walk around to use the fence to get up onto the train. Go
through the train and take the Jetski over to the container outside the Truck
Stop. Get the Crowbar from inside the dining area of the truck stop. Use it to
open the doors on the end of the container.  Take the JetSki through the
container and use the sign to jump to the other side of the road. Make the dash
across the bridge before the wave hits.

Get as close to Stephanie and Beth has you can then call out to them. Take Beth
to her mother.  Climb up to the overpass.  Go down to the coffee shop and try
to move the large 9 sign.  Go back up and ask Beth's Mother for help.  Go back
and move the sign. Climb up and go around to talk to Stephanie.

Take a few steps towards the way you came to cause it to collapse.  Climb up
the broken section and use the lights. Remember to hold [R1] when the shelter
breaks loose.

Here you need to end Joshua's story by getting on the Chopper with Beth and her
mother. It does not matter if you take Stephanie or not as far as the rest of
the game is concerned. Beth is happier if Stephanie goes with her, so that is
enough reason for me. Even if you do leave Stephanie she does not appear again
in the game, so there seems to be no purpose in doing so.

Story Two - Amber Brazil - Landmark Apartments

Go to David's apartment 402. Look at the door. Go into the lounge. Go into the
bedroom and crawl under the desk to pick up the Music box. Open the door.

Call out twice.  Grab the Towel Bar. Go into the Locker room.  Ignore the cop,
its quicker that way.  Use the towel Bar to get the keys. Use the keys to open
the locker to get the Lace-up Boots and Shoulder Bag. Use the Keys to unlock
the door to the cells area. Grab the Ladder from Storage and move it under the
broken window.

Sneak across to the "Annex Lounge" and change into the officers disguise. Talk
to the guard to get out the gate.  This makes a short cut for Isaac later. Go
kit up at the Recycle bin then leave via the East.

Keep working east. Sneak to the overturned red car when the cop is not looking.
You will get caught by Trapp, but this is a good thing this time due to the
nice short cut it allows. Crawl forward and run up the stairs. Hit [R1] to
avoid being knocked down. Head to the stairs.

Follow Aiden up the two escalators. Wait for him to distract the cop then start
across the overhead walkway.  Wait for Aiden to distract the second cop then go
down into the Underground arcade. Go through Wizeman Books. As Joshua did not
set off the alarm here, Amber will be able to walk straight through no problem.

Go down the stairs and approach the End of the Train. As Joshua removed the
iron bar this time, We can end Amber's story here and move on to...

Go through the Room where Jaden is, down the first stairs and east into the
room.  Grab the empty Fuel Tank. Head back to Jaden.  Note that in the scene
where Jaden runs out there is no Amber running up after him now.  Jaden must
have decided to check the music box on his own in this story branch. Go down
the stairs in the small room and use the Empty fuel can on the tap. Go back to
the car.

go up the stairs and smash through the cracked window.

to the next building.

Go up the stairs and grab the fire hose. Use the fire hose on the piano. Follow
after Kelly. Do the shimmy to keep away from Mr Savage.  Follow Kelly into
the Gym.  Go out the front of the gym then go back and talk to Kelly.

Leave Emily there, you can move quicker without her. Go up the broken walkway.
Cross the debris to get through the window. Make your way up to the roof, with
or without Emily. Do which ever you did not do in the first run?

Story 5 - Ivan Kozlov - Convenience Store Area

Get up, stagger up the stairs.  Talk to the Emergency worker about Sierra. Grab
the Icy patch from the store. Use it, then the stethoscope on Sierra. Talk to
the emergency worker to get the blanket. Use the blanket on Sierra.  Go to the
edge of the water. Get the air mattress and take it to the edge of the water.

Use the computer in the bedroom. Let the current take you then go north. Get
onto the truck. Keep working your way north. Use the air mattress near the
water and paddle through the opening in the building and keep going.

Cross the plank.  Go down into the hole and talk to Sierra.  As Joshua and
stephanie left before getting this far Ivan needs to grab the Jack from the
car park under the restaurant and use it to lift the debris off Sierra.

Go into Ivan's Apartment. Look at the Diary and the Computer. Piece together
the memories.

Use the air mattress.  Paddle into the building.  Follow the hall.  Go through
the door Paige came through and make your way through the window to the gym.
Go into memory and piece together how to destroy echidna. Talk to Spritz.
Go outside and look at the boat. Did you take Sierra with you last time? Might
want to leave her behind this time then. Or Vice Versa. It makes very little
difference so, meh.

Grab the Flag form the flag pole at the spot where you can get out of the
water then go back to the container.  Exit the area (out running the wave) via
the spot marked with the post-it on the map.

Restore the power using the switch in the room. Don't get pancaked by the
falling tower.  Return to the panel. Its quicker just to leave with Apalon.

This will bring us to the main reason the second run! :D

Grabbing these two items will give Keith the final pieces of the puzzle he
needs to crack the story of just what is going on in Del Ray.  Go into Keith's
"talent" which is "solve" and try to piece it all together. This works the same
way as Ivan's memories, only this one is a little trickier. I am reasonably
sure the pieces will only all fit if placed in the right spot, so just
concentrate on the shape of the pieces, not the clues they represent.

If you can't be stuffed and just want to get on with it, this is the order I
ended up with when writing this part of the walkthrough.

        "Goldstein ordered NorCal to develop a killer virus."

Yeah. I can't see any obvious pattern in that either. But it does work. After
solving the puzzle there will be a scene. Leave the building by going out the
door in the south east corner of the room and down the stairs. You will get a
scene.

Go up the stairs and that are right here in from of Keith.  At the top there is
a blue arrow.

Head south all the way (part of the path will crumble behind you) and be
careful as debris will be thrown at you by the high wind.  When you reach the
far south you will see a large pool of blood and a blood trail leading away
from it. Follow the blood trail west, watch out for the flying debris, until
you get to the court where Stephanie's father landed the chopper. On each side
there are small raised areas with grass. Each of these areas have a blue arrow.

The rest of this level is almost exactly the same as it was for Joshua's last
dash to safety during the first run of the game. The only thing different is
the water does not seem to rise as quickly and there are quite a few more items
along the path. It also takes about twice as long due to how slow Keith moves.

Start following the blood trail again and the whole place start to go crazy.
Go into the Media Center building and up the escalator. Head west for a blue
arrow.

Start heading through the tunnel, sticking to one side. When you get about half
way across the tunnel will break.  The section behind you will fall, and the
section you are on will start to lean.  Grab the railing and shuffle the rest
of the way across for a short scene.

Follow the blood trail up the steps for a scene with DIALOGUE OPTION. you will

Now is when you can use "Free Mode".  This allows you to play any of the
character's stories without having to play the whole game.  There are some
restrictions to how this works.  The game makes certain decisions for you
regarding what has and has not happened.  For Joshua this makes no difference
as all, as he is the first character you play in the game.  For the others some
things are pre-set, and you can not change them.

For example: In Amber's story, the game decides that Joshua pulls the Iron Bar
loose.  This does gove amber the chance to access her "b" ending, but she also
looses the chance to go into the stores in the subway past this point, as they
are damaged by the collapsing station.

Another Example: In Isaac's story, the game decides that Amber sets off the big
boom, forcing Isaac to make the run through the police car park and calling
Sophia to Safety.

The only way to see the alternate paths to those chosen by the game for "free
mode" play is to play a full game and alter the paths yourself as you go.  This
is the other, possibly largest attraction, to replay the game.  While most of
the branches in the game can be seen by following the walkthrough section of
this guide there are still quite a few minor ones that you may want to try out.

For me, the MAJOR reason that I keep returning to the game is to try find the
two items I have yet to find to complete my COLLECTION!  Grrr..

Each compass appears only once in the game, but some can be collected by
different characters at different points of the game.  Once a compass has been
picked up, it will never appear in the game again. Compasses get permanently

ok, so at this point there have been fery few questions asked.  Depenting on
how well this guide is received, this may remain a very small section.  If
there are enough questons asked enough times, then I will update this section
for future versions of the guide.

Q: What is the point of Finding the contact lens? Or talking to the drunk?
A: These can triger extra DIALOGUE OPTION with Stephanie. This in turn may
   affect her feelings towards Joshua.

Q: What about the lost little girl?
A: This too seems to be only to affect Stephanie's feelings.

Q: Do Stephanie's feelings make a difference?
A: It seems that the more Shephanie likes Joshua, the greater the effect of his
   hugs to warm and comfort her.  This is in both the DIALOGUE OPTION hugs, and
   the TALENT hugs. It also effects some of the dialogue in some cutscenes.

Q: Does Joshua have to help Sophie find the uniform?
A: No. There is another Waitress uniform later in the game.

Q: How many times can a Pot be used for cooking?
A: Each character only needs one pot. There is no limit to its number of uses.

Q: In the first Survival Point Joshua can't get to the Lockers because there
   is Junk in the road. How do I check them?
A: You don't. As far as I can work out, it is a Red Herring.

Q: I found a shutter that needs the SPEED HANDLE to open, but I threw the other
   one away when prompted. How do I open the Shutter now?
A: You Can't.  The game is evil here. Who ever decided to put that part in must
   be having a great laugh. The only way to open the shutters is NOT to throw
   away the SPEED HANDLE when prompted to do so.

Q: That sucks!
A: That is not a question, but... yes.  Yes it does.

Q: Where is the best place to leave the SPEED HANDLE so that it can be used by
   the other characters?
A: Amber needs the SPEED HANDLE in order to open a store in Station Area for
   Access to [COLLECTABLE = FLAT LOAFERS]. Joshua must leave the SPEED HANDLE
   with Jasper so Amber can get it from him outside the Police station. The
   last time Joshua sees Jasper is in the Mission Care Center Area.

Q: Joshua will not open people's lockers. Am I missing anything?
A: No. That is just Joshua's Way of saying there is nothing there. He will open
   them if there are items to collect. Incidently, if you check the same
   lockers with Amber she will happily do so, but they will be empty anyway.

Q: Do I have to pick up everything?  My inventory is getting awfully full.
A: If you do not care about completing the COLLECTION list that you can access
   at the end of the game then you only need to pick up those things that
   directly affect the game.

Q: But I do want to complete the COLLECTON list! That is why my inventory is
   Full! How do I pick up stuff now?
A: For COLLECTABLES to be added to the list, you only need to pick them up. As
   soon as they are in your inventory you can do anything you like with them.
   Give them to your Companion to wear, leave them in a recycle box, give them
   to Jasper.  You can even Disassemble them or just plain discard them.

===== COOKING ASIDE  =========  WHAT YOU CAN MAKE IN THE COOKING MINIGAME =====

During Joshua's Story you get the chance to "cook" on two different occasions.
The first occasion someone will eat the food he makes and then makes a comment
on what the food is like.  So far these are all the different combinations I
have been able to make.  For those that could be taste tested I have included
a number after.  So far there has only been two different reactions, and one of
those reactions has so far only occurred once.  As far as I can tell these are
not random as I have tried several times and always get the same results and
reaction.

========== LOCALISATION ========================== A FEW CURIOSITIES ==========

There are several posters for "steambot chronicle" to be found throughout the
game.  Quite amusing that. Irem getting in a plug there for another one of
their games. Also explains the "Steambot Compass" as well. Makes you wonder why
AgeTec bothered to change this poster and not change most of the others.
Especially interesting since AgeTec do not distribute SteamBot Chronicle. That
is a "505 games" title!

Most of you would have noticed that during the "photo flashback" segments, none
of the photos had been altered.  All the characters still looked like they do
in the original japanese version of the game. Can not help but chuckle at this
rather significant oversight.

Just where on the Hudson River is the City supposed to be?  According to some
of the posters around the city it is the part of the Hudson that runs through
"Tomisaka" City!  So is Tomisaka City another name for Geo City? No wait a
sec. It's Del Ray City isn't it? 

There is still quite a lot of Posters around the city that still contain the
Kanji (hiragana?) from the original game. All of the files in the file storage
room inside Capitol Magazine are all still in Japanese. 

There are propaganda posters of the Mayor to be found. In these posters The
Mayor still has his Black Hair from the original game.  He also has his black
hair on the TVs when he makes an appearance. The TV in David's apartment is
probably the best place to see this.

Now that I have mentioned these, just how many of you are going to now go back
and play the game again to try and spot other posters and the like that either
have or have not been changed? Surely I am not the only person that curious for
the little things? Am I?
