How do I beat Ivlet?

I know you throw a rock at him to startle him. I don't know how you actually hurt him or cut down his health. Can anyone help me????????? PPPPPLLLLLEEEEEAAAASSSEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only do you have to throw a rock at him you also need to meow at him when he is lying on the ground after you hit him with the rock. This is done with the X button but you need to be close to him. One thing I need to mention is if you hit him with the rock while he is flying over the edge he will just fall and you will not get a chance to meow him, so just make sure he is over land when you throw your rock at him.
